Sushi house known for burrito-size rolls with Asian & Latin flavors & some organic ingredients.
Great experience in Palo Alto downtown! We ordered sushirito n Karage chicken. Both are fresh and tasty:-Worthy to give it a try.
The rolls are fresh, there is no doupt about the quality. But they were missing flavor. There is no soy sauce, ginger and wasabi which usually boosts the taste in sushi, so it overall tasted a bit neutral and dry in my opinion.
The sushi burrito tastes good. Based
Only 1 vegetarian option. They had fun out of the main veg ingredient but the staff was nice to make something with other additions that tasted good
This is one of my go-to places in downtown Palo Alto for fast and tasty lunch. You can watch how they make the burritos, and Im always super impressed by how meticulous yet also efficient their service is.
Interesting concept on the fast casual scene. The food actually tastes pretty good with rich sauces to prevent the roll from being dry. The tempura breading was also light and crispy. Options are limited and two of the items were not available. A good alternative place to go for a quick bite but a little pricey.
Shrimp tempura and geisha’s kiss buritto were perfect!Though would like to have a soy sauce on the table😁
We went to Sushirrito excited, and I hate to say they didn’t meet expectations. We only got take-out, and my friend and I got the shrimp and blue crab roll. Now we are both cramping constantly and have real GI issues. The other rolls were good, but overall this was an awful experience.
Tuna was unbelievable! All the ingredients were so fresh and tasty. Highly recommend!
Soo good!! Dream and David were especially friendly and welcoming. If you’ve never tried a sushi burrito or have ever wanted to, check this place out!
Overall a place with great vibes and great food. Surprisingly, the sushi burritos were big enough to fill us up like a meal. Beware that the Latin Ninja burrito (the salmon onemight come with small bones. The most important thing was that seafood tasted fresh and savory.
Looking for a quick, unique and simple meal? I would describe it as a big sushi hand roll fashioned in burrito style. Instead of a tortilla the contents are wrapped in seaweed just like a hand roll. The menu is short and has only one vegetarian/vegan choice, which was very good by the way.
Tasted good, super filling. Get spicy mayo on the side and dip the burrito in!
I got the sumo crunch (sushi wrap with tempura shrimpand it was not good at all. The wrap was 75% fake crab, a couple slices of cucumber, and a small piece of shrimp tempura. It did not taste fresh and the rice was very wet. While I am willing to pay for good sushi, this was not worth the $16. I do not recommend this place if you are looking for quality. The portions are. large.
Interesting idea.Limited menu items but pretty good selectionTried the Sumo crunch and chicken karaage both of them were goodI wish there were some dipping sauces to go with this
Fresh, tasty, appetizing presentation. Highly recommend for a casual eatery, generous portions & friendly service. We loved everything! Geishas Kiss Bowl, Fiery Chicken Bowl and they offered free nachos that were delicious! Im posting this because I think more people should at least try this place.
Tasty and fresh food at a very reasonable price with nice presentation. Service is quick and friendly. Convenient location right on University Ave. They also have an open store front, which makes it more airy and pleasant to dine in.
I had 2 ordered 2 budha belly, been a customer since the opening i had high hopes, but i am disappointed to beyond wordsThe sushi was sogi on the outside, with the egg plant sogi drippy and cold , it was focused on side which been sogi ruinned the whole burriot.Wouldn’t recommend, the store can certainly do better.
So i would start by saying the brand has dropped quality off of its food, ordered a budha belly, it was sogi , wet and cold fromMiddle, the whole burrito opened up on one side becauze of the bad prep, worst experience and quality control.Dont waste the money
We love this place. The salmon samba and a few of the other sushi burritos are just superb. The place itself is tiny and more for a quick eat but its so tasty that we just love coming back!
Excellent food, great taste and friendly staff. I highly recommend this place to eat there or even requesting for delivery. The Latin Ninja is the best for Sushi Burrito.
I was initially put-off by the idea of sushi in burrito form, but I am a complete convert, and come here regularly. Stoked that they are open again after being closed for a while, I assume for covid reasons.Sumo Crunch is my go-to, and I always add the spicy tuna and cough up the extra dough to get extra sauce.
I never write reviews, but this restaurant nearly took me to the hospital so I had to write this to warn others!!! Tltr. Ordered here today, and got FOOD POISONING. DONT EAT HERE¡¡I decided to order from sushirrto for dinner today (1/23/22because my lunch was just some home fried vegetables + rice. I ordered the Sumo Crunch and only ate half of it for dinner (my boyfriend ate the other half). I remember thinking the wrap was a bit soggy and didn’t taste very fresh. But it wasn’t so bad to the point I couldn’t finish, so I still finished the half. I didn’t eat anything else for dinner and only drank water after that. And around 4am, I woke up from an intense stomach pain, resulting in me vomiting 4 times, and a bad diarrhea. The vomit was the remaining wrap I ate around 7:30pm. The pain continued for 3 hours and I almost went to the emergency room!!! My boyfriend was not having a stomach pain but was feeling gassy and a bit bloated (he probably has a stronger stomach). After comparing notes, we are sure the fish/shrimp in the wrap was the reason we had the reaction. They were definitely the symptoms of food poisoning!!! DONT EAT HERE¡¡
I used to love this place but the quality of the food declined significantly recently. So bad that I can’t even finish a full portion anymore. Do yourself a favor today and do NOT eat at Sushiritto!!
Delicious and great potion of Side Karaage -Japanese Fried Chicken-. $7 per serving is amazing in Northern California. I highly recommend you to try them. However, the servers attitude can be much sweeter than how they are.
Recently visited and didnt realize they had bowl options, loved it. Got the salmon samba and it was better then I remembered, will be back again soon! Great, friendly staff as well
A good option if you’re craving Japanese food and want something that can deliver maximum flavor in the smallest package and easy to eat on the go. Prices are relatively reasonable compared with other sushi burrito restaurants in the area. Ordered to-go and the order was prepared really quickly and the fish was high quality and fresh. The signature burritos also had good flavor profiles.
Tasty, convenient and reasonably priced for the area. I like the addition of crunchy components to the burrito. I would have given 5 stars if the sitting area were nicer. Regardless, highly recommended if looking for a quick bite in the area, especially for lunch.
Great food, not a lot of outdoor seating, but since University is closed, we found a great spot on the street to enjoy our meal. Great packaging of pick up/delivery orders.
I crave this place all the time for the fresh and flavorful food. I really love the habanero salsa, I wish they would sell it by the jar. Take-out service is great, delivery is so-so.
For takeout, Sushirito is great with tasty food and unique rolls. You have raw or cooked choices. We had two Geisha kisses, Sumo Shrimp, and Hot chicken rolls. There are outlets in San Francisco, Sushirito truck in South S.F., and Palo Alto. Great food and quick. The app didnt work and phone is not answered. We walked and got good service and drove home and ate. Rolls are large, and I ate half for lunch and half for dinner. Enjoy!
Great concept and delicious food. Wish there were more room for customization. Not a fan of fried chips inside.
Still the best even with all the other clones opening up. Great choice if youre looking for something quick around $12. If youre looking for a fancy sushi restaurant, go elsewhere. If youre looking for a cheap burrito place, go elsewhere. If youre looking for the combination, give this innovative place a try
Really tasty sushi! They have interesting flavors for a good price.
I ordered the mini Geishas Kiss - perfect for a normal-sized lunch, and it was perfectly flavored. I love sushi and really enjoyed this. My friend never tried sushi before; she ordered the mini Sumo Crunch. It looked really good and she was really happy with her choice. Service was quick and we enjoyed eating at the restaurant. Ill definitely come back for a quick lunch in the future.
Super tasty sushi in a burrito, a unique offering and a must try! Was recommended to try this place by a friend, so we went in and stood in line for a while and waited to eat here. In the end it was totally worth it.
Usually great taste, but today the food lack flavor. Love the passion fruit ume drink.
First time having one of these. I got the Latin ninja and it was really good that I got another to take home. The add-ons are a bit overpriced for what they actually put on. Overall pretty good spot.
Love this place! Weve gone several times. The burritos are basically giant sushi rolls, for the price of what a normal roll would cost you other places. You can definitely get full off of just one (unlike ushi rolls where I can easily down 2-3)! The Geishas Kiss (or something like thatwas very good, as was the their crunchy shrimp tempura roll. The Ninja roll Id stay away from: too much blend of the burrito and the sushi roll.
Really well balanced taste profile for each of the 4 flavors. Very impressive how well put together. Fresh and light.
Overall very good but the tables arent very clean. First time trying it and it seems quite healthy.
Came here because my colleague wanted to try it out. Were in downtown a lot but we dont walk around this area much. Its a long walk to the Caltrain but we had to try itI do not remember what she ordered but said its okay. Ill definitely update my review when i get to try it someday... Maybe....I took a picture of the menu and the place is pretty decent and clean..
This place is pretty tasty! I am wary of these sushi burrito joints for the most part but they had good reviews so tried them out. Didn’t disappoint. Got the wrap without rice and it was perfect amount for lunch
Very fresh and yummy sushi burrito that I actually enjoyed very much. The portion was just enough to have for lunch and the fish tasted great with other ingredients. I would say that it was more like a poke burrito than sushi burrito, considering both the ingredients and the taste that were so similar to poke. Having it as a burrito, the food got somewhat messy towards the end when we were finishing up, but it was no big deal. It would be lovely if next time I could get to have the option to build my own burrito like I could with poke bowl.
The seaweed wrapper was oily, but all ingredients were fresh.
I highly recommend the Sumo Crunch! This place really knows how to blend good flavors and textures together. It really is a fun party in your mouth. Food is also visually beautiful.Obviously, this is not world class sushi. Dont come in expecting super traditional stuff. However, its pretty darn good. Wish they had wasabi.$11 buys a gigantic box good for two hungry people. Most people just grab a box and leave so its never crowded. Line can be somewhat long, though.
A sushi in burrito form sounds weird, but works so beautifully. The seating can be a pain since theres only a few tables which can take a while to clear out, but they put all the burritos in a box so you can easily take it to go. The serving size is very generous and it honestly is just a giant sushi roll.At first, I (being a vegetarianwas pretty skeptical, especially when I saw they only had one veggie option: the Buddha Belly roll. It was a delicious flavor rollercoaster, varying from sweet to salty to crunchy. I cannot handle spicy food usually, but I was completely fine since the eggplant and pickled veggies dominated my taste palette. My non-vegetarian friends prefer this place as much as any sushi restaurant and generally like the Sumo Crunch the most.
Awesome go-to for mega sushi burritos. I have loved Sushiritto since I first came - I have been here 5+ times now. The lines are always long, but it moves pretty quickly. There are all kinds of fillers and options for your sushiritto, they also have vegan / vegetarian options. The people here are friendly. The location is great, right on University Ave and they have outdoor seating too so you can be right in the heart of downtown Palo Alto.
Amazing food. If you dont like spicy you can leave off the spicy mayo and wasabi to create a mild versions of the standard menu items.
Essentially a sushi roll that hasnt been cut so you have to eat it like a burrito, hence sushi-rrito. The rolls are good but nothing to write home about. I had the geisha which had fresh fish and an interesting crunch contrast with crispy lotus flowers. I recommend if the line isnt huge, otherwise there are lots of other options in downtown PA.
