Sushi97 - Sushi restaurant in Prince George, Canada
I never usually leave reviews but I really struggled too eat the 97 dynamite rolls which is one of the most common and easiest rolls. I couldnt stomach the mayo on top and it was supposed too have 2 prawns but was only one in it. Maybe just add the option for the mayo on it.
Great service and food was super fresh! Always a great time here!
I had the worst craving 4 sushi so I got online & decided 2 order from where reviews led me & Im glad I did ! I get delivery & its always on time , the delivery person is friendly & smiling , the food is AMAZING ! I tend 2 be food fussy . The beef sashimi is a must have , & the sushi ,salads & soups are all worth doing again & I have ! Its not priced likefast food which makes sense , its NOT fast food . Enjoy
Great experience every time, great sushi
Awesome as always! My only hope is that they return to in-person dining at some point.
The Mango Roll is phenomenal. Good is always fresh and prepared well. Hope they will have a place to sit down and eat again soon. One of the best sushi places in town!
Fantastic quality, portion size and service! Come try this gem of a restaurant and do yourself a favor ^^
Sushi97 is consistently delicious. Some of the best sushi in PG! The sushi pizza is really good.
The food was terrible. The sushi rice in the rolls were dry and un appetizing. The Yakima upon which I assumed was going to be soup based was not bad but a few dollars more than worth and volume. There was a lack of moisture/sauce in the chicken rice bowl. Generally a poor meal for the cost.
Sushi 97 is the best sushi in PG. Love it and spend too much money here. Thank you and Im sure well be ordering again real soon.
Awesome food and incredible service!! Love their “Rockin’ Roll”.
Really good sushi. I had the spicey roll combo. Cant wait to go back.
This is my favorite sushi place in PG. They have great staff and make great food with quality ingredients
Wow what an excellent experience, such delicious sushi at a very reasonable price. Very nice host staff and an awesome environment... the sign says Sushi 97 but they are 💯!!!
Moved here in May and was so happy to find a great sushi place. Fast forward 8 months and this is the second time in the past two months where the take out was really mediocre bordering on bad. The rolls were falling apart some of them not even closed (makithe fish was ok but it was like they had run out and put a bunch of chopped left overs where there was supposed to be whole pieces of fish. Same with the other previous bad experience. Maybe someone learning? Either way I hope it changes as it was great initially months ago.
My wife and I absolutely love Sushi97. My wife is from California and is somewhat of a sushi connoisseur. She whole heartedly approves! Bests sushi in PG!!!
Very impressed!!!!! Great size pieces of sashimi, hand rolls are filled with fish not just rice. Excellent meal!! Great prices as well.
Food was made fast and good. Only reason its missing a star is due to the lady at the front that was short with me for no reason. Everyone is entitled to a bad day however do not take it out on your customers.
Great value decent sushi order was ready in 15 minutes on a Friday no less. Overall great experience
Out of all of the sushi places in town, this was easily my least favourite. Avocado was far too ripe and quickly nearing the end of its life, and the portions (rollswere very small. Nothing tasted very fresh but everything did taste very bland, and the miso soup tasted like prepackaged powdered miso soups (the tofu had the consistency and shape of de- and rehydrated tofu).
Incredibly disappointed. Their service has decreased tremendously. I have been a long time customer and I wont order again. They estimated pick up to be 35 min . It was 1hour and 20minutes, leaving me to wait in the parking lot for a very long time. This is the third time it has happened, causing alot of stress for me and my family.
Decent, but u can tell it’s a little on the cheaper side in terms of food quality. Nothing wrong with it and good for a quick cheap lunch, but there are better options in town taste wise.
It was rocking busy for delivery and takeout. They were working well as a team, quick. Very good. Hands down best veggie roll Ive had and their chicken udon soup was superb!
Staff is great. I deliver for them alot on various food apps so thought I would give it a try. Best Sushi I have had in a really long time! Will be back for more!
I love the food here. Its super fresh and made quickly. I hope they open up their dining area soon.
My order from skip was a bit funky and messed up but I called this place directly and they offered to fix my order right up! They were so nice and not rude. Very helpful and the lady I was talking to made sure everything was good and in place:thank you guys so much! The driver even came and talked to me, explained the situation, he was very sweet🥺
Great sushi qualityBut Tako (octopuswas way too chewy and I bit my lips so hard.😭😭😭
This is a take out only restuant. I dont tip normally for take out only if Im getting served. Anyways other people were ordering their dinner before me and their dinner was ready in 20 and mine was ready in 30min. I went to a park with my young boys and guess what NO SOYA SAUCE lol. Never again. So Good Food will always be my favorite and stongely recommend them.
Great sushi. I get the combos and for $40 I can get a pretty good feast going for 2 people.Good "stuff-to-rice" ratio; you dont feel like youre just packing in the rice. Overall really good service and the chefs know whats up.
been here a couple times but our last experience was not so great. The server we had was not friendly. we had to ask for refills on our drinks and it seemed like an inconvenience to her. We ordered 3 rolls. we waited 35 minutes for our food. I watched other tables who came in after us get their food before us. Once we got our food the server never came back. One of the rolls were wrong. I had to get up and ask for a box and our bill. This restaurant was busy at the time but it was all to go orders. They focus more on their to go orders then the people sitting in the restaurant. There are better places to have sushi in Prince George.
Just arrived in town for school and work from Vancouver. Needed a quick lunch so grabbed a chicken and beef teriyaki roll. Was pleasantly surprised when they both were good size and the chicken was fresh and juicy! Will be going again for sure:)
Good fresh sushi at reasonable prices. Too bad dining in is still unavailable due to COVID. Had the Deluxe sashimi, sliced raw scallops and Special Rainbow Roll. Everything was good and worth it.
Ordered home delivery. Order was accurate and delivery fee was waived for over $25 (took about 45 minutes which was the estimate when I called).Delicious sushi and the bento box was more food than we expected for the price. Will absolutely order there again!
Awful service, and inauthentic tasting, expensive food. I have tried to give this restaurant chance after chance over the last couple of years due to the raving reviews but whether I eat in or get takeout, I am always left disappointed. When I order to go, I NEVER get utensils, soy sauce or napkins; it is as if they try to skimp on these things. I have mentioned it each time I have placed an order and it doesnt seem to matter to them. Most recently I had phoned in and was met with possibly one of my most frustrating experiences with a server. They usually seem quite cold overall but this individual would not stop to listen and was talking over me when I was trying to express important details. I was left feeling very frustrated, which is not often as I am typically very empathic. My food has usually been hit or miss... But with my last few orders Ive found consistency in that I have found myself not being able to finish my food and just giving it to my dog instead. Unfortunately, the California Rolls also occasionally taste like theyve been cross contaminated with other foods... Which can leave a fairly putrid taste in the mouth. Unfortunately we just dont have the best Japanese food here in PG, and this place is no exception.
Food was decent. Service was far from polite. Snooty waitresses & as soon as you finish your meal they want you to pay & leave. Make you feel super rushed to go even with the restaurant only half full. We will not be back again. Each time we have gone its slowly been declining. Sad to say because we used to love it!
Great place for lunch and dinner. Bento box are really good filled. Love the Teriyaki. Menu is good for the whole family even if you dont like sushi. Also takeout available. One of not so many restaurants with a steady high quality. On Saturday, Oktober 26th 2019 we faced at 8:45pm chairs on the table... they are open Saturdays until 9:30pm. Not customer friendly. Went there on Sunday. Food was good but PLEASE stop to serve water and tea in plastic cups. This is really disgusting!
Cheap prices, good looking sushi. But the rice is really sweet its really sweet and has a wierd feeling. Even the fish tastes wierd because of it, the California roll has minced crab instead of just a full piece. I would not come here again but I can see people who would.
Not a very descriptive menu, prices are reasonable. This is the best rated sushi place in PG and the first one I went to, but it definitely did not keep up with my expectations. The rolls are very big, which may sound good, but it actually just makes them fall apart and very difficult to eat.Overall, I had much better sushi for the same price or lower. On the bright side, the ingredients are fresh and the food is filling.
Good sushi! There was a little too much rice on the nigiri and quite a thick cut on a few of the pieces in the chirashi don but really good quality and great service. Actual sweet shrimp rather than just a regular prawn as well was really nice to see.
It’s a great taste of Japanese food hundreds of miles away in Canada. Enjoyed better and enjoyed worse sushi. Every restaurant puts a different spin on some classic rolls from time to time. They’re specialty roles specific to Sushi97 were delicious. After all, anyone willing to put their stamp of approval or name on something should be able to stand behind it. Would come here again if I was in the area.
The sushi here is always good... consistent. Staff has always been attentive. They could do a bit to spruce up the interior a little, but that doesnt impact the food. If you are looking for half decent sushi...make this your stop.
I went here last night and the sushi was delicious, until I found a short brown hair (I have extremely blonde hairrolled INTO my sushi. I told the waitress and she said she would remake the roll for me, but what was remade ended with me having less sushi than I had before (I had 10 pieces of sushi left and only 8 were remadeAnd I was still charged full price. She was nice but I just don’t think it’s fair to be charged full price when you find a hair that is definitely not yours rolled into your food, and especially when I ended up with less food in the end. I’m a very regular customer too so kinda sucks
Confusing experience. I ordered from Sushi97 and the sashimi and rolls were exceptional. Having enjoyed this food, I returned a couple months later for lunch - it was like I visited a completely different restaurant. The rice was mushy and almost inedible: I suspect that it was because I dined there just as they opened. However, thats not really an excuse in my eyes - they simply should have told me the rice wasnt ready.
A small eating joint with great menu selection . Can seem a bit overwhelming at first as the menu has alot of items , but I am not complaining as it adds to the eating experience . The staff is friendly and warm . Service is good . I tried their Assorted shashimi, black dragon roll , Sushi 97 roll , crab meat in cone and sushi roll combo . All the items were very well prepared and ingredients were fresh and very well done . The only thing I didnt like was that their sushi rolls wasnt well wrapped and fell apart . But overall great food , decent pricing and decent ambience .
Fab sushi & udon soup! Great food 👌🏼
The PG Roll was very tasty as was the Volcano Roll. I totally loved the seaweed salad also. Service was a little slow but total turnaround time was reasonable.
Good try Sushi 97! Fast service. Friendly staff. Nice presentation sushi. Like the decoration in the restaurant, but this is not my best sushi restaurant in BC. They served coalfish instead of crab. The tuna wasnt very good and looked like whale?
Sushi 97 is the best sushi restaurant in BC. Very fast service and friendly staff. Food is always fresh and exceeds our expectations. The restaurant is always very clean. Take out orders range from 10-20 minutes and they never miss an item. You must try them !!
Surprisingly good fresh sushi. Will definitely come back again for more when I visit this town.
Hands down the best sushi in town. Unbelievable fast service and excellent selection! High quality sushi for a great price!
