Can’t believe I just “discovered” this place. Walked by it so many time. Didn’t order much but what I got was fantastic. Nr 15 with crab and dumplings. So fresh, so much crab and you can’t beat the prices. Oh and super quick and pleasant service! Will be back 100%

I dont work downtown anymore but whenever Im nearby Broward and Federal, I always stop in. Theyre super busy during the day so I know the fish is fresh and the prices are really good. The service is always fantastic and everyone there is very professional.

Best to go Sushi in Broward County for sure. Need a platter for a party, order it from them. Much better than anyone else especially when price is factored in. Its Japanese owned which makes a very positive difference in their rolls and rice. They are the best.

BY FAR the best hidden gem for sushi in Fort Lauderdale. The rice tastes completely different than other places, fresh and like it was just made. The seafood is fresh because it has no smell and no "fishy" taste.

There’s a reason why I’ve been visiting Sushi One since 1998…the sushi is AMAZING and the prices are incredibly reasonable!! It’s a family owned business and they are passionate about their product. My faves are: shrimp tempura roll, JB roll, new times roll, tuna roll and cucumber roll. A place to visit the next time you’re in the Ft. Lauderdale area! Since COVID there are no inside tables, only 2 tables outside. Parking can be challenging. Peak times will have a line! Best to call in your order and pick up!! Enjoy!!

Hidden gem. Cheap and fast. This is the way sushi should be. Maybe that’s an unpopular opinion but it’s mine. There’s obviously a time and place for fancy $200 sushi dinners but honestly I would take a place like this over that any day. Fresh ingredients with well made rolls and nigiri. We got our food and ate in my car but there were a couple tables outside so that’s an option too (keep in mind this place is take-out only). Lots of people inside so you know this place is poppin, and for good reason. Places like this remind me why I enjoy searching for good food. Absolutely recommend.

I moved away years ago and I was fortunate to be around the area. The prices havent changed in 10 years and the staff is always friendly. The food quality is still superb and I always eat myself unconscious because of this. They survived COVID for good reasons. If you love sushi you have to go here.

ordered from uber eats, it was excellent, fresh, and absolutely delicious. What made me super happy was that they were able to substitute the tuna bento box with sushi rice with salmon(which i requestedeven though they only had the option for tuna on the app. I really appreciate it and that makes customer service go over the top! Great place!

Sushi is always delicious and the prices are great. We usually go with the combinations as you can get a mix of 4 different rolls. The cucumber roll is a must try very simple but delicious. Staff is always friendly and we never have to wait long. Definitely a great find. Their actually following covid protocols still, which is always a relief.

Good food at a good price, especially for a Japanese restaurant! Its very small inside and there werent any tables or anything like that. I had a small conversation with 2 workers and both came from Japan so that was nice to know. Some stores/restaurants claim theyre authentic, but no workers are from said-place, but thats thankfully not the case here.

My #1 sushi spot in Fort Lauderdale. I usually get the dynamite roll, yellow tail jalepeno roll, Mexican roll and shrimp tempura. Very small place, more for pick up than dine in but the place does A LOT of business (because good quality and good pricingso they turn the food over quickly and its always fresh. 5/5. Sushi 1 is really #1 in my book!

I ordered the salmon teriyaki bento box for pick up. The order came with salmon, rice, salad and seaweed. Upon finishing the salmon I began eating my side salad. I was about 2/3 of the way done with the salad when I noticed not one but TWO pieces of cucumbers with bites already taken out of them. I’m appalled. If you’re going to eat here, inspect your food throughly.

I just ordered sushi for my girlfriend who is highly allergic of Wasabi, she vomits even from the smell of it. I asked please dont put Wasabi on anything!!!! This is how I received my order. Not sure how to ask for no Wasabi anymore.

My family was excited about this restaurant because there are several great reviews, but our sushi did not taste good. We only ate a few pieces and threw the rest away. We ordered 5 or 6 different types and didnt enjoy any of it.

I order from here frequently, you can’t beat the prices. I usually order the chicken teriyaki bento box which is a very generous size, and some rolls. Everything has been excellent. However, today I ordered the shrimp tempura roll and was extremely disappointed to discover that instead of actual tempura batter, it’s a shrimp roll with puffed rice cereal added (see attached picture.I was so surprised! I know it’s not a Michelin-starred sushi restaurant but that seems pretty disingenuous when the menu says “shrimp tempura.” That’s the only reason this place doesn’t get a 5 star review from me.

We got the gyoza, #11 and #25. The gyoza was okay. #11 was bland, tuna salad wasnt very good. #25 was quite tasty. The price was great. Maybe we hit it on a bad day.

No idea how this place has good ratings. Rice crispies used as tempora flakes. Nothing fresh about these rolls. The rice is placed on the sea weed by a machine.

Hidden gemTried the combination rolls which included tuna sushi roll, jb roll and California roll. My friends tried other varieties and surprisingly All of them tasted great and not to mention, ginger was amazing too. Considering the freshness of the meat, efficient service, authenticity and the price the best place to get a take out.

I’ve been coming to this place for 10 years or so and it’s my absolutely favorite sushi in all Fort Lauderdale. The employees are always nice and helpful. The sushi is fresh and perfectly done. For take out I recommend you to call in advance to place your order as they are always full and you might be waiting for a while.

Had a family gathering so we ordered a platter, and it was perfect. Everything tasted fresh and the price could not be beat. Staff was very friendly too.

I thought Id give them a try because of so many high ratings but boy was that a mistake! The Dynamite Roll was a California roll with a thin smear of what tasted like cold, shredded, canned tuna in mayonnaise. One bite and I threw it away. The New Time Roll sounded great but it had too much rice and was flavorless. I ate 4 pieces and threw the rest away. Spicy mayo should be spicy and tasty but I couldnt detect the flavor at all. I dont normally give bad reviews but Ive never had such bad sushi before.

Sushi 1 is my favorite go to sushi spot when I want something quick, comforting, and affordable. My parents started taking me here when I was very little and still 14 years later I come myself. One of best hidden gems in Fort Lauderdale witch such fresh sushi with the amazing price.

Wow! This place is a great value. I never thought you could get such good sushi for only $8-$11. They have great specials, too. It’s busy for good reason! They got our food out super fast. Free parking in the parking lot. They have good variety and we tried several different rolls, which were all yummy.

Very good authentic and fresh sushi, insanely good prices. Its my go to for takeout sushi- best value Ive ever found. Its so crowded at lunch, and hte fish is Fresh! Just dont get tempura or dynamite rolls. They don’t have a fryer on site and these two rolls are prepared in advance; and just not their highlights. Cali, salmon, tuna- and most everything is fresh as can be and made by Japanese people with attention to detail. Be prepared to wait if you come at lunch hour. Yet, it is worth it!!

Love this place been going here since high school since 16 for years, its a bit away towards the route I dont like to drive but if Im in the area and craving really good sushi Ill drive by here and my boys love there sushi ! The best weve had every roll. And the price is amazing. Thank you!
