Severely understaffed. Food does not look appealing. Sushi is not that fresh. Many toppings of sushi on the conveyor belt are seen fallen off from the rice.
MoreBad service. There is a notice that states to wait till their staff come out to show you your seats, but staffs just look at you and walked away despite only having 2 customers in the store at that moment.Limited choice of food available. Better luck going to Sushi House at City Square.
MoreThe restaurant lacks variety of sushi and the sashimi was very small. Ramen noodle taste bland and the soup was bland as well. Sushi isnt well presented on the conveyor as well. Definitely a overpriced sushi restaurant. It was also very warm, air-conditioning wasnt working that well. The dipping dish was dirty. Dont recommend going hete.

MoreWe saw a lots of tables there but not open to sit. As long que. We wait patiently but when we came in, menu only ala-cart & very limited. What a waste of time! Nobody entertain us to tell the waiting time, also nobody entertain to tell that a lots of menu wasn’t unavailable. Better closed down the shop if they cant handle this situation. Thanks

No service at all but need to pay 10% service charge. Staff couldnt even explain how to order properly. At 7pm the sushi belt had probably 5 options to choose from and salmon all sold out. Was told can order from menu but takes 45mins even though restaurant half empty. Isnt it dinner time?? Sushi on belt wasnt fresh at all either, taste like its been there since morning. Waste of money. DONT COME AH SAVE YOUR MONEY AND ANGER

Not happy with the service at City Square Johor Bahru staff because when we came for the first time somewhere aroune June, the staff did not guide us about the restaurant being full although there were empty seats.And then today, 26 July 2022, we came again to try our luck. This time round, the staff told us that they were on 1 hour lunch break and told us to come back at 4.30pm. So we waited and walked around the mall first and came back at 4.30pm only to be told to come at 4.45pm cause they are still on break. We just felt frustrates because we were so hungry. If we know things were gonna happen this way, we would not have waited and ate somewhere else. The staff should have just told us to come back at 4.45pm. Please enlighten us.

Bad service - extremely slow.First we waited outside but no one came to attend to us. After 15mins we went in. Ordered food and drinks. Absolutely unreasonable to wait 15mins for the drinks. After 30mins, only one dish is served.. so great.
MoreAir conditioning wasnt really working. Raw food wasnt fresh and the sushi rice texture was almost like glutinous rice. The best dish that we had of all that we ordered was the yakiniku beef

Situated inside Johor Bahru City Square shopping mall. Air conditioned. Clean and comfortable. Waiters and waitresses are friendly and nice. Price is reasonable and the food is nice. Worth a try.

after a number of years we were excited to be returning to what had been one of our favourite haunts. we used to eat here on a weekly basis.What a huge disappointment!Initial greeting was friendly enough, but thats all that was good. Staff was inattentive.sushi was not fresh. Our prawn tempura came out cold.....so we sent it back. I reckon they just whacked it into the microwave because when it came back it was dry and chewy.My suki yaki was only like warm, but I didnt dare to complain in case it came back compromised. On top of this, the beef was tough and chewy.A very definite "never again"....please steer well clear of this place, there are lots of other sushi joints that will be heaps better.

We were turned away (as paying customers, mind youTWICE. They have made up opening hours. We came ONE HOUR after opening time (10am;which their own sign outside their door stated as such), but they said they were not yet open. we came a second time , half an hour later and they said their sushi isn’t yet cooked, and to come 2 hours after their supposed “opening”.Very Unprofessional. Did not even have a sign put up on the door if their reasons for opening late was legitimate.I ate here before in the past and the food is very subpar. sushi isn’t fresh.to summise, this shop isn’t worth it. they don’t even care people even want to eat there. they don’t deserve that shop space, and it’s a wonder they’re not yet bankrupt.

Not worth it …expensive but small portion food. And the food taste bad,even the rice. Fish are not really fresh, and no wasabi because not enough. The only thing taste good is the mayonnaise.

MorePressed the bell to call for the waiters over 6 times. Nothing. Physically called waiter over and asked for sauce dish because our table did not have any. No sauce dish. By the time we had our sauce dish, at least 15 minutes had gone by. Almost walked out of this place because of how impossible it was to get any of the staff for assistance. 10/10 will never eat here again. Food was average and price was about the same as Singapore. No redeeming factor for me.

Lousy! Hygiene levels are so bad, they never wash the dishes. Plates come to you oily. Even a cockroach was spotted running across the floor. The only good thing about this restaurant is its price. But since you are paying peanuts, you get monkeys. Oh well.Tl;dr there are better restaurants in malaysia if you have the money. Dont be a beggar.

Rang bell 3 times to notify them an item has not been served. Item did not come at all.3. On a scale of 10, food is at best a 4/10. Dont ever eat their ramen; salt levels were off the charts.4. This experience + the insane waiting time at the checkpoints (if you come from SG= tilted.
