Sushi Edo - Sunnybank Plaza in Sunnybank
Description
Privilege
Haven’t been here for a while, last time we were there it was $4.20 a plate, didn’t realise it went to $4.80…(even remembered when it was $3.80)Good was good, kids are they usual avocado, we got some treasure boxes….fried chicken. The portions all seems smaller also, 3 1/2 pieces of chicken per plateDinner seems a little quiet, it is usually wait outside for a spare table…when you turn up at 7pm for prime dinner time. Maybe it was the rain, raining and cold wet night, it was the daughters bday dinner and she wanted sushi. Not many plates on the train belt, but with ordering from the tablet food arrived steadily
MoreGreat place to come get some good sushi
Good food as usualExcept the waitress Ana looked like she could not wait for us to f off when my friends and I wanted to split the bill
MoreDelicious, sashimi has been very fresh and tasty everytime Ive been here. They have the iPad menus for ordering which Im a fan of.Spacious, with plenty booths next to trainPlates are I think $4.80 each though so maybe not the best value.
MoreSushi fast food. Fixed price per plate. Nothing fancy. Long queue during weekend dinner.
MoreThe food is good, I just wish they made the account sign up a bit easier (is this something I can do online)
MorePrice per plate is creeping up. Food is tasty and you order from your table. Very popular during meal hours.
MoreAll plates 4.8 $ need to order through tablet
I have been going here for years and have usually found it good. Now though I recommend only ordering the sushi and nothing that has to be made out the back, karage etc, as it has all taken a turn for the worse lately. The octopus karage I ordered tonight came with a side of mouldy leaf. The manager seemed to not care at all.
MoreThe waygu beef with teriyaki sauce and the waygu beef with misoyaki was just outstanding.Absolutely loved the food. However the service can be improved a bit. We had rice 10 minutes before we had the beef dishes, therefore the rice was cold by the time beef dishes arrived😅...
MoreOne of the best sushi places in Brisbane. Best sushi train Brisbane in my opinion. Fresh fish and well cooked and seasoned rice. That said, I have only always had their raw fish and aburi. Very rarely fried stuff and never noodles.
MoreOk
Service is good and fast. The Sushi tasted great. Go there often.
fast service and yummy sushi 🤩
Nice and fresh sushi and friendly staff. Our family visit here regularly and always satisfied with foods and service.
Moremy wife and I had dinner at this place yesterday and we got very sick. we both were nauseous and threw up everything we had. reason we got sick can be either they dont serve fresh fish or staff there dont wash their hands at all (they wear a pair of gloves and never change them)Anyway thanks for making us sick. $4.8 per plate is also overpriced. We will never come back and wont recommend this place to anyone
MoreI have been going Edo Sushi for years. They have a great range and the service is wonderful.
MoreIt was delicious and the salmon was fresh than before, but when you order the sushi from their iPad, some time was to slow. I was just order one sushi for waiting about 12 mins 😭
Morefresh sushi and good quality food and customer service fast .. It was really busy when we came I appreciate all the staff working there too much hard work….
MoreOrdered take away in store today. Missed two dishes, tried to called store many times, but phone number wasnt be able to connected.
MoreLook, I lovvvveee Sushi Edo; Ive been going there for years and I eat there at least twice a week. Im even a member and have over 1000points on my account with them. Im just disappointed they increased the plate prices! But what hurts most is how jacked up the prices are on Uber eats...NOW THATS mad. Example: dine in Tofu Teriyaki dish is $13.50 but same dish through UberEats is $18.30 💀👎
MoreI don’t recommend getting delivery food from here. They always take ages. A delivery that should only take 20min to make and send off takes an hour when I order from here. The food is amazing though, so I just hope they can be a little faster.
MoreLet us sit outside to accommodate our dog! Fast, friendly, efficiency. And best of all delicious and more affordable than most.
MoreThis WAS one of our fave sushi places. NOW NOT SO!!!!! Plate prices have recently risen to $4.80 from $4.20, but the quality and portion sizes has definitely declined. Service has definitely declined. Used to buy a $2.50 bowl of steamed rice. The bowl would be a standard size Asian rice bowl nicely done shaped over the top. Tonight I paid for a “bowl” of rice that resembled maybe a 2 tablespoons worth of cooked rice. It came out in a much SMALLER bowl ( similar to a an Asian yumcha teacup” completely flattened down to be level with the bowl. Definitely NOT what the picture on the iPad displays. The portions of fresh salmon in the mini rolls now are almost halved and the roll is bulked up with rice. We were shown to our table but there were no sauce dishes. After asking the waitress for some, they were delivered about 10 minutes later and just thrown onto the table and she rushed off. The wait time for water we ordered from the iPad was almost 15 minutes. Again, just hastily placed on the table while the staff hurried off. There were no napkins left in our dispenser and the soy bottle was empty. The staff seem very understaffed and no one had time for even a smile!
MoreOur go to place for sushi, always fresh 100% quality of sashimi. Been coming here for years
MoreLove the gyoza here, it is always nice and crispy, cooked very well. This morning 11am I ordered Wagyu teriyaki , was amazing. Agedashi Tofu was very nice, Tofu and seaweed salad was nice and fresh. Beef Udon was amazing. Well done chef, highly recommend this place. I just finish work and wish they open at 12am haha!
MoreThe best sushi, so fresh, great atmosphere and friendly staff. Definitely be back. Thank you
MoreHad the pink marinated ebi nigiri during tea hour. It wasn’t fresh and I had notified the staff about it. Nothing was done after knowing that the dish wasn’t fresh. And still had to pay for the sushi that tasted like plastic, which I had split out.
MoreMy favourite Sushi Edo franchise. I visit for Dinner and the restaurant is fully occupied. The Sushi is freshly prepared with generous toppings with the exception of the Uni (Sea UrchinNigiri. Like my previous visit in April, the serving of Uni is again pitiful. May I suggest to management to raise the price of the Uni Nigiri and provide a decent serving of Uni?The Scampi Nigiri, Crumbed Kaki (Oysters), Wagyu Nigiri and Agedashi Tofu are my favourite dishes,
MoreEverything was gross and cold. All the fried and grilled food were soggy and completely soaked in old oil. Need to pay extra 50 cents for not even 1 teaspoon of sauce. The short-haired waitress was rude and arrogant. Never waste money here ever again. What a nightmare!
MoreSushi edo is my favourite sushi train. This location used to be good but has gone downhill. The portions are smaller compared to other locations and the plates are cold and old. For the price, I will not be coming back to this one.
MoreSushi train, exactly what you expect with good fresh food and fast service. The e-menu is a nice touch, tap away and your food magically arrives.
MoreOne of the best sushi restaurants in Brisbane. The plates all are the same price and they make them fresh. You use a tablet to make your order. Excellent service. Highly recommended.
MoreAbsolutely wonderful food and excellent staff! I believe there was a young lady named Vicky that served me my food, lovely girl and was extremely nice and helpful. Definitely coming back
MoreSushi Edo has to be one of my favourite sushi trains in Brisbane, with its many variety too choose from which in my opinion is unmatched by any other sushi restaurant in the district. The minor downside is ive been a regular for nearly 5 years and Ive seen the price gradually gone up from $3.50 to $4.80, which is understandable, but the quality seems to have gone down, pending on what day it is and how busy they are. Table services has gone to average aswell and could be better with more welcoming engagement and not be treated just like a number.
MoreWe have been coming here regularly for many years as it’s always been our favourite Sushi Edo, however recently the prices has gone up to $4.80 per plate which is understandable, but the portion sizes of each sushi has gone done quite significantly. To pay more or receive less for it isn’t good value…
MoreI understand price up to 4.8, but where is original menu? The normal menu only remain...
MoreCame into Sushi Edo on 21/3 (this past Monday), and food was excellent however I was sitting near the hall and noticed that perhaps the food may have come out faster and service may have been more prompt if the young man in the kitchen would refrain from flirting with his co-workers 😉😂I have been here previously and was served by the most accomodating English boy, who, when I left my phone inside the restaurant, found me outside to return it! The service and the food is both very good usually, which is why I dont hesitate recommending this restaurant to all my friends 🙂Sashimi was very tasty so thank you to the seemingly mute chef and the matcha ice cream was immaculate, Id love the recipe!!!!!!!!!!
MoreNice setup, with quiet booths. Very organised and diverse in Asian staff.Only small issue was that I ordered a soft-shell crab hand roll and received a borderline soggy seaweed with a hand roll consisting of 80% rice, 15% cucumber and 5% actual meat.Otherwise, all other sushi was good 👍 and they have a wide range of Japanese udon/noodles, kimchi, mochi. They even have Dalgona (the sugar candyfrom Squid Game- the shapes are absolutely adorable!Staff are always friendly and efficient to serve your ordered drinks. There is a vegetarian menu available in the booth ordering tablets.
MoreSushi quality was very good and customer service was great!Especially the lady who served us,Quick and friendly. The lady also gave little toys for my 6 years old daughter when we paying there.Definitely will go back again.
MoreNot bad for a sushi train type restaurant as it has many varieties of sushi but quality of sushi and service received seems to fluctuate every time I visit. Staff seem unbothered and frustrated when I ask them for help. other than that it is a great place to eat a variety of sushi on the cheaper side.
MoreThe best sushi in the area! Can get busy during peak hours however their consistency and taste is always on point. Ive been coming in since they first opened and have never regretted a single visit. Also glad to see Michael Claret being obedient and wearing a mask like hes supposed to when he comes in haha!
MoreI love this place! Always get the volcano rolls and the “ginger jujube tea” 😍 been here a few times never had a problem.
MoreThe food doesn’t worth that price, 18 buck of the beef, just 10 pieces. 4 buck 2 sushi. It’s really expensive. And my rice was from the bottom of rice cooker.
MoreI have no idea why this is so popular. Takeaway for 6 rolls, on a Sunday afternoon, when there werent many people, still took 15 minutes. I thought everything was being prepared fresh - this was a mistake (a total of 5 minutes elapsed between picking up lunch and opening the takeaway). The "spicy" rolls are drowned in sweet chill sauce so you cant taste anything else. Chicken katsu is stone cold, definitely not fresh and tasting fishy, which makes me wonder how long it had been sitting there. Salmon aburi was very thick, barely torched, with cold hard rice, which also gave the impression this dish had been sitting for hours. The presentation alone is appalling. We will not be coming back.
MoreAwesome sushi restaurant of course, it’s SUSHI EDOFriendly staff, fast paced and very busy, we had to wait in the line for about 15-20 minutes on a FridayFair pricing, good quality and a great variety.Heaps of parking around, yet a convenient spotDefinitely recommended
MoreSushi Edo Sunnybank does the best sushi in town. $3.80 a plate with a large variety to pick from. Always fresh and hand made the staff are friendly and prompt in making your order. I highly recommend.
MoreTasty but like all japanese cuisine its priceyhad udon noodles plus i wanted to try some sashimi, i think i had king fisha few slices of raw fish, plus noodles costed over $20, i guess its a good experience if you havent tried it before but seriously you could get well fed with other dishes on the menu for a cheaper costits the price you pay to mix up your culinary experience other then eating burgers, example i just got a SMS for a deal for dominos for a "buy one newyorker get one free". Thats one pizza is cheaper then my sushi experience PLUS i get a free one, just one pizza pie youd be eating for ages let alone twoSo to some it up, the noodles were great very tasty, the kingfish was ok, was like eating a nori roll (sushiyou get at a sushi shop that are popping up everywhere, i would prefer to try raw squid or shellfish, cost almost $10 for a tiny dish with a dollop of wasabi. It was fun but its not something I recommend all the time if you want to watch you hip pocket 8/10
MoreNice sushi train restaurant. Quick service and able to order via an iPad. The nigiris aren’t great though as they aren’t well made. Can be quite expensive when you keep eating small amounts of dishes. But overall I enjoyed the meal here and would return.
MoreWorst uni ever. Asked the person who served it and was told this is normal. Didnt eat it and will never go back again. This place is definitely cost cutting and going down hill.
