Sushi Ai in Saint Charles

Chaos. Employees yelling at each other, repeatedly have stuff falling off counters. Lost a pick up ticket and took many minutes to find. Then order was done and they served probably 8 pickup orders while this one laid on the counter with no one to bag up. Complete looney houseReply 08/16--this was the location and I have the time and order details. It was a pickup on behalf of a doordash customer. A younger female employee and one that appeared many years older were working the counter. The customers food wasnt started until well after I arrived. The reason was "the machine in the back doesnt work, yet customer after customer that came in many minutes after me received their food. I was there about 30 minutes for a routine pickup that any other sushi AI can handle. I cover a huge area and any other place would have had me out the door in 5 to 10 minutes max.Dismissing this review and the tone of "that doesnt happen to us" is likely part of the issue. Why would I make something up--seriously? Wow

Stellar staff and a very short wait, even during peak dinner hours on a Saturday. Service was quick and the food was delicious; everything on the menu was fantastic.

Service started a little slow but when the servers get to you it was a great experience. The AYCE sushi menu was decent, price wasnt too bad and as mentioned before service was good. Recommended for a budget friendly AYCE sushi restaurant.

Food was delicious! The atmosphere was a bit much for me - super noisy and all open & "on top of" each other (it was the busy dinner rush though). We couldnt understand or hear our server (who chose to wear a maskit was just too loud. Ate fast, again - food was divine, and got out.

Our favorite sushi place for sure! We get carry out from here at least a couple times a month. Great “all you can eat” special as well.

Sushi Ali was great, they had so many choices to choose from! I dug right on in to eat my meal and realized I HAVE TO GET A PICTURE. The waiter was great she checked on us a few times to make sure everything was fine. I will return!!

They do not have good sushi, especially not like the one down town Saint Louis. There rolls are Super Small. And food was just not up to par.I came here once before and didn’t like it, was shopping in st.Charles over the weekend tried to give it another chance and it made my mom very sick. We also had to wait a little over an 1/2 hour to actually get our food brought to the table because the kitchen was backed up. Also heard a few other customers Complaining. But the workers were sweet

Food Is never ready 45 mins after orders are placed. Employees are always pushing pickup customers out of the way to use computers. Managers move current customers out of the way to take payments, hand out orders to customers that showed up after everyone else. They have six or seven sushi chefs doing one job instead of working one chef per order. They dont utilize the back kitchen to help prepare take out orders and push those orders to the back of the line. Dont go here plus the raw food sits out too long to be eaten safely.

They didn’t give me the crab Rangoon that I paid for, the St. Louis roll is mostly just honey cheese, the sweet potato roll is raw, and all the rice tastes like it’s several days old.

If you like all you can eat style sushi. For what you pay, the food is pretty good. Eat there at least three times a month. Very friendly staff.

The only place I will eat Sushi in the Saint Charles area. The all you can eat option is an incredible deal when considering the options provided on that menu. The staff is very friendly, and while our favorite waitress has moved on to another job, we will continue patronizing this company.

Great service and food is always fresh. Get there early for dinner as the lines get long. Great price for all you can eat sushi!

Wow! Consistently great food and pleasant wait staffUpdate! Lost track of the number of visits now, but every single time the food is delicious, consistent in prep and portion and worth the price. The cost has gone up a bit but what hasnt? No problem paying and tipping an outstanding staff.

First time really eating sushi. It was good. But not truly all you can eat. They bring a order sheet by twice so order big on the first go around. Was crowded so it must be good. I really didnt have anything to compare it to

We came here unexpectedly, and we got the all u can eat sushi. We decided to do the 5 rolls each, so we got 10 rolls total...and I think it was around $45-$50 for that total. Which wasnt bad for all we got.I wish we would have taken a before picture. We were so hungry, and we SMASHED that sushi...this is what was left. It was sooooooo amazing!!!I would totally suggest trying this! Its the best bang for tour buck if you are super hungry, more than 1 person, and wanting to try lots of different rolls.Would definitely come back!

Always great and fast every time I go

Was seated immediately and my waitress was there within minutes to take drink order. When drink delivered I placed my order. My appetizers (the Crab Rangoonwas delivered quickly and my Alaskan Rolls not long after. As far as taste, the food was absolutely delicious! The Crab Rangoon looked as it tasted......perfect!!! They were a light golden in color, each filled with just the right amount of crab filling. My rolls however were eather sloppily put together. Lightest of touch with a chop stick had them falling apart. So very hard to pick up and dip in the soy sauce or add any of the wasabi to them. But with such great service and deliciousness of food was more than enough to retain all 5 stars. Looking forward to returning to try some other dishes!!

Love me some sushi. Everything was decent here, with exception of the fried sushi. It had a batter around it that was very very thick and not good at all. It was too much, almost like it was designed to fill you up on purpose - as if rice doesnt do a good enough job as is. +1 star if this sushi was like normal fried rolls -;like everywhere else. Wouldnt go out of my way to eat here again.

Great portions and prices and sushi is good. Call ahead on the weekends because they’re always busy. Usually about 15-20 minutes wait for 3 rolls on the weekends.

Always a great place to go for the all you can eat option, or menu items (there are tons of non sushi options for the non fans). Even if you just order a few rolls and extras, its well worth the cost. I have been going for years and I have never been dissatisfied.

Tuesday had all you can eat so it was expectedly busy. Even with being super busy, a great dinner service was given. The sushi was also perfect considering it was all you can eat.

First time eating here. Absolutely delicious. So good. Extremely tasty and fresh.

shouldve known when I walked in and there was a weird stench about the place. I ordered 8 rolls/3 were fried. The rice was over cooked they had no yum yum sauce or chipotle mayo🤯 and everything tasted like mush. The fried rolls were saugie. I spent over $50 and ended up, back at square 1 - with no food. Not edible. The people who worked there were really nice though.

My go-to place for sushi in the area! Prices are reasonable for the quality. Their specials are the way to go. Ive been there for all you can eat but generally, I have it delivered. I recommend if you want reasonably priced sushi that doesnt skimp on the quality.

The food is always really good. However, tonight I purchased sushi, hibachi, Lo Mein and fried rice to go. The sushi was put at the bottom of the bag and made the sushi warm. Due to that it wasn’t great sushi as normal. Recommend putting cold items in a separate bag from hot items.

All You Can Eat for $25? Not bad. The menu is fair. The menu of buy per rolls was of course a lot bigger. The food was yummy and a busy night where we waited to be seated, our food still came out reasonably quick

Love the fried rice, place was packed, new server, so dealing with learning curve, pleasant and did best he could. My chicken friend rice was over cooked, but replaced upon request.

The service was so so slow. I could tell our waitress was doing her best but it took 30min for the first appetizer to come out. The last appetizer we ordered (which was just chilled veggiescame out 45min later. The food itself was decent, not the best we have had not the worst. COVID preventative measures were being kept.Update: went again a few months later and Antonio our waiter was awesome. Added another star.

The place is packed on a Friday and I see why. Sushi was tasty and no complaints from me. Just make sure you understand the terms of the buffet before ordering. Other than that its worth a trip back for sure.

Ive eaten here a few times. Being from the Northeast, I know what good sushi is. And this place has some of the best sushi you can get that far from the ocean. Their wait staff is great, I really liked the server from my second visit. I think her name was Stacey. She was so much fun and explained the menu and options to me. The tables, bathroom and restaurant in general, was clean and well presented. The ambiance was exactly what you want from a sushi restaurant. This place was fantastic and I will absolutely return next time Im in town.

We initially went to Sushi Ai on 10/2/2021, and found several pieces of lint in one of the sushi roll platters. Then when I told the owner that each of the sushi platters (to go containerscame with 2 rolls each, he proceeded to argue with me and my friend! Please don’t make the same mistake as I did; especially if you want to make sure that your food does not have any foreign particles!

Great sushi and a great atmosphere. I would recommend this location to family and friends.

Great service, prices were great - a $21 charge gets your 1 appetizer, 4 pieces of Sushi, and 3 sushi rolls!

I celebrated my two sons April birthday here, dine-in at Sushi Ai. I came with my boyfriend, and met up with my youngest son, and my birthday son with his beautiful wife. The place was packed, on a weekday. The hosts trying their best to give quick service but no match with the diners. I told the Host about my sons birthday, and at the end of our meal course, he gave us a free cheesecake tempura. My birthday son chose all you can eat sushi, and the rest of us chose the ala carte. Food was delish.

Best sushi in St. Louis plus its All You Can Eat! Cant beat the value.

First time back here since Covid-19. I appreciate theyre staying firm to their required mask regulations. I literally forgot how to order off of the All-You-Can-Eat menu, but the waitress helped me out alot so I wouldnt have food left over. (Remember any left over food you get charged for)I had the St. louis roll, tuna roll, Shrimp Tempura, and tuna sushi. Light but still really filling. I dont eat sushi often, but when I do I usually go to Sushi Ai in Zumbel

It was my birthday dinner tonight and the server brought out tempura cheesecake for dessert for us! It was so good and it was a very nice surprise!!I love sushi ai!! Im so happy that they opened back up and we can eat there again. While we were in quarantine, I refused to order sushi from anywhere accept sushi ai. ( bear in mind that we live about 45 min away from sushi aiWe never ordered out for sushi, so I was DYING for sushi by the time my birthday came around! I am so glad I waited! It made it that much more special and delicious for me! From February to November is WAY TOO LONG to go without getting sushi!! I love sushi so much!!! I am most happy now! I got my sushi fix, finally! Best birthday dinner ever!!Thank you Sushi Ai for making my birthday so wonderful!We are going to be back often now that you are open again! We dont go anywhere else for sushi! We LOVE Sushi Ai!!!

For a restaurant that offers all you can eat, what I had, the sushi was pretty good and fresh. They turned it around quickly. I would return, especially if I had another Groupon

I had an amazing lunch. They way have an all you can eat deal that is great for me because I can eat a lot of sushi. This is my go to place for sushi.

Very busy restaurant with a short wait but the food was amazing with the exception of my dinner which had a weird sugary glaze on the noodles and the others were done eating before my food came out. They loved their rolls and I tried a spicy tuna roll and the St. Louis roll. Highly recommend! Disappointed that it seemed every other table in the restaurant was brought little desserts to finish up on but us. Guess our waiter was watching our weight for us. I notice the little things but overall cant wait to go back.

For a local chain it varies from place to place. Today this location was ok. Service was excellent! The rice around your sushi was very sticky and not soft. I will continue to go to Sushi AI but only the Mid Rivers road location. Always have had good food there.

The sushi was great! Passing through from Missouri to Tennessee. Very convenient stop right off of the highway. Although they were packed, they got our food out to us very quickly! So glad we stopped!

This is a good place to go for their all-you-can-eat sushi menu. You basically order all you can eat for one flat price. But I feel like I always get full too fast to make it worth it. The servers are always really cool and helpful. The all-you-can-eat menu has nirigi, lots of rolls (no sashimi), and a selection of appetizers.

This was my first time ever even trying sushi. I was not disappointed. Such a great environment and the service was outstanding! We got the all you can eat for $20 a person and definitely got our money worth. We will 100% be returning. Loved it and would definitely recommend!!!

The unlimited sushi is a great deal. With the dinner, you also get unlimited versions of some of the appetizers and desserts. My personal favorites were the crab sushi and the gyoza. The staff was very friendly. When you order sushi (especially in large quantities), it may take longer to get to the table, but theyll bring your appetizers (like that amazing gyozabeforehand, so you dont get left with nothing for too long.

Ive never had a bad experience here. Their fried rice is amazing! Cooked lightly and tastes so much better than take-out places. Service is always great. Its one of my parenters favorite places for sushi.
