Just great! Indicñan with a twist, a very different approach to food with excelente cocktails and a fusion that is worth a visit (maybe you wont stop going after that one visit).Curry Bolognese and naan with jalapeños are worth noting as well as the rhuibbarb spritz and excellent service. You wont regret breaking diet here in this up and coming joint that has a patio and a great vibe.Love it, keep up the good work guys !

Hard to describe... Indian fusion? Indian reimagined.. Or just really creative new food with inspiration from Indian staples.. Best way to experience is as a group and try a bunch of things family style. Chili cheese Naan and the Manchurian potatoes were amazing.

Looked like a small place from outside but inside ambience was decent. The food not so much. All our food with the exception of chana chat was mediocre to worse. Green Bean Thoran was average. Naan as you can see in the picture was completely uncooked. Manchurian potatoes were fried to death! Really I thought you can’t go wrong with potatoes but sadly I was wrong! Pizza had thinnest slices of zucchini (don’t put them, it’s fine). Mushroom fry - not sure what that was supposed to be. Not worth the price!!

Some of the dishes were pretty creative. Especially the parle g biscuit ice cream sandwich. Service wasnt great, didnt need the attitude. Menu needs to be tweaked. The uttapam order was pretty miniscule. Cocktails were nice

Cute restaurant, very aesthetically pleasing. Wait was not long, service was okay— need more mature staff. The food was decent, and our favorite dishes were the Parle-G ice cream, poha, and utapum. The quality of food was mediocre, yet decently appetizing. Overall, it’s a good for a “one time experience”, but there could be some improvements.

Dont go here. This restaurant scams customers into paying a 20% service fee after you get the bill, instead why not add the 20% surcharge in the charge of the dishes itself.I don’t mind paying the higher price on the dishes so that they can pay fair wages to their employees instead of them publicizing that they pay fair wages by adding a 20% fee at the end of a bill and scamming customers to pay this fee when you get the bill. Also physical menus didnt mention this fee nor were we told before placing the order. It’s mentioned in small text somewhere on the virtual menu placed at the table. They dont need to publicize the fact that they are charging 20% service fee to pay fair wages. Just increase the price of each item instead of under the banner of the service fee just to tag themselves as ethical in paying their employees. Underhand marketing tactics by this restaurant. The food here is below average too. Does not do justice to Indian flavors. Just mashed up fusion food.

Staff very rude. Sliding in a 20% service charge to the bill without mentioning it on the physical menu. Never informed about this service charge prior to taking orders.Mandatory vaccine card check at the reception. There’s no point if there’s no cross-verification with the ID.Don’t people get COVID even post vaccination?TBH- Not sure what this restaurant is trying to achieve?

Good food. Prices are high. Service is good. I appreciate that they tell you about additional service charges when they give you the bill. I don’t have. A problem paying more so workers can earn more. What I have a problem with is when restaurants hide it. I would update to five stars if you didn’t have the service charge and instead increased your prices accordingly.Servers were very kind and awesome. Food is too expensive imo.

This is Horrible - Donot get fooled with names - I asked for Chicken choices - we were told Two chicken choices: Methi Chicken and Butter chicken, waiter recommended Naan - I ordered those Three, I could not eat both chickens - Horrible - Never ever I go again. Donot get fool with names. Worst experience.

Food was good, however the service experience was jarring. When we first entered the restaurant, the vibe was just off. The entire staff had this air of critical surveillance if that makes sense. We sat down and seven of the staff stood off to the side and stared at us while pointing and talking. No idea what that was about. Then, our waitress talked down to us by saying that they understood Indian American fusion is new thing (it’s really notand that there might be words that we don’t understand. I’m literally Indian. They also said that they can explain what the word tapas mean if we’re confused. I’m a cook at a high end tapas restaurant. They seemed very judgmental and acted like they were above us which threw us off. I understand that some people might have questions about the menu but it would be better if the wait staff asked if we had questions before assuming that we don’t know anything. It was just weird. As someone who has worked in a kitchen my whole life and also have served, I would NEVER treat a customer like that. I would never assume that a customer didn’t have knowledge on the restaurant they chose and would wait for them to ask questions instead so that I don’t come off as judging their intelligence. It’s best to just leave it as let me know if you have any questions. There was definitely a mean girls vibe to all of the staff members. I don’t think I would return solely because of how the staff treated us. I’m a mixed race person but it’s also an ethnic restaurant so not sure if it was because of racism. If there wasn’t a 20% tip added I would have only tipped 10% for service. Managers, please talk to your staff.

First, I love that they take reservations for brunch, a rarity in Chicago, where most places force you to stand around outside for 90 minutes waiting on a table. I loved the atmosphere: cool and spacious and mellow. Great music: Kim Sun, Timber Timbre, First Aid Kit, Sun Ra. The menu is full of vegan and vegetarian options, all clearly indicated. Everything we ate was unique and flavorful: Uttapam, Poha, Fruit Salad, and Cold Chai made with oat milk, then a shared order of French Toast, made with Gajar Halva and Gulab Jamun Syrup. The service was outstanding all around. I look forward to returning for future meals.

While the food is absolutely amazing at Superkhana, I have to say the service we received was incredible. The staff there are made up of the friendliest, most knowledgeable people around. Also, the manchurian potatoes and mushroom masala fry are delicious. I anticipate that I’ll miss both of those (along with the naanin the near future and will return to Superkhana International.

A M A Z I N G. Best cocktail of my LIFE (Jean-Claude Pandan), incredible Eggplant Bao, and Butter Chicken Calzone…what the what. It was insane. I don’t normally care about calzones and I was leery about the term “Indian-ish”. But Superkhana is now in my top three restaurants in the city. It has great (reasonably pricedfood, cool atmosphere, and a playlist that is fire. As in, Fantasy by Mariah Carey playing in the bathroom. Just trust. You want to go there.

Amazing food! A wonderful twist on Indian cuisine. Im still thinking about the Achar Noodles - there are not words to explain how delicious they are. I also loved the sweet potato dip, it is fantastic. I would highly recommend ordering a few dishes to share with others.Update: Went back! Had a delightful time celebrating our anniversary. They had a new variation of the Achar Noodles and they did not disappoint. I denoted my food allergies when I made the reservation and they gave me a custom menu with the things I cannot eat crossed out. Would highly recommend!

Place is cute, and the staff is sweet too, but I’m not sure what the buzz is about since the food was really really not nice! If you’re familiar with the Indian food taste, you’ll not enjoy it.Or maybe it was because we went for brunch. Menu is super limited, so we were disappointed it didn’t have the items we were looking forward to try. Then we ordered almost every dish on the menu. Dosa was thick instead of crispy thin, Poha was soggy and clumped, chai was good but such a small portion for 8$?!egg sandwich was good, but Bombay masala was really sad. Oh not to forget, none of the items had salt! And I’m a person who doesn’t eat much salt! Uttapam could have been good, but salt!?i think they put all the possible salt in the chips! my sweet tooth just enjoyed the gajar halwa French toast. But we ended up paying a huge bill for extremely below average food.

I was being charged a 20% service fee for a take-out order. When I requested for it to be waived off since I wasnt using the services of the wait staff, the manger refused it. She said it was to ensure fair wages for the staff, which I am an ardent supporter of myself - but that needs to be reflected in your pricing so customers have transparency around pricing. When I say I am charging x for a service, but hand you a check of 1.2x, thats fleecing. The interaction gave me an impression that they wouldnt reflect the extra 20% in their pricing, because at $16 then, their potato appetizers would be out-of-step in a competitive market. The solution then, they thought, is to mandate 20% extra charge on every check - regardless of the quality of service customers received. Their menu looks interesting and I really wouldve have loved to try it and be a regular customer to support the modern Indian culinary venture, as well as their employee friendly endeavors, but not at the cost of PREDATORY and OPAQUE PRICING PRACTICES.

Be warned. This place is imposing a mandatory 20% tip on takeout. I asked and the server gave me a complicated spin about how this lets them avoid raising the prices on the menu. The prices minus the obligatory might be worth it for a nice dine-in experience but seeing how small the portions are makes the cost including tip way too steep. 2 People with normal appetites, no leftovers, no drinks, no delivery fee, $70

Walking in, the hostess was aggressive with checking the vaccine cards and wearing a mask but also did not check our ID when checking the cards. They need to decide whether they want to be aggressive and do it right (verify IDsor just not check them. The food was good, but had little resemblance to Indian food, e.g. the naan was just a pizza. Also, the portions were tiny for the money - you get 4 bites of Bao for $13 or so.Finally, what really killed me, was the mandatory tip. There is a MANDATORY 20% tip and they still ask for more, the reason being that management says this is how they pay their staff what they deserve. First, what someone deserves from tips depends on their service. Also, if management wants to pass along their prices to the consumer, just make the food more expensive and pay your employees better instead of tricking people into thinking it is cheaper than it is. $40 on a $200 bill is not a huge deal, if the server did a good job, they deserve it. The big deal is businesses artificially lowering their prices to bring people in, then surprising them at the end when they effectively have no choice but to pay.Think about your business practices.

We had brunch here and shared a few items, each of which was fantastic. A meal I wont forget! The food here is very creative and exceptionally good. All four of us loved this place. Amazing food, great vibe, friendly service. Maybe the best French toast in the world. The Bombay sandwich was the winner, though. Highly recommend.

Spice heaven! Every dish was absolutely packed with flavor, and for small plates the portions were great for the price. We had:Manchurian Potatoes - super flavorful sauces and perfectly fried. A great side/app.Chile Cheese Naan - chewy, delectable naan covered in melty cheese and more chiles than seems reasonable. Get this.Coconut Brisket - a perfect summer dish. Flavors were light but tasty and paired perfectly with our heavier sides.

What a fantastic experience. Right from the greeting at the door we knew this was going to be a special place. Sure enough the kind and professional staff were matched by the warm and inviting atmosphere. But who cares? How as the food? Amazing!!!The steak and cheese bao was like a little pillow of bliss. The Chana Chaat was flavorful and crunchy. The highlight though might have been the Manchurian Potatoes - fried to perfection. It was amazing how much flavor there was in every dish without ever being spicy or hot. And the affordable prices allowed for us to share and try a lot of things. All of this with a full bar and signature cocktails that pair perfectly.Finished the meal off with authentic, family heirloom chai. The whole experience was fabulous from beginning to end. We will go back every chance we get.

We went on Mother’s Day for a brunch. We found menu choices and food extremely underwhelming and only South Indian dishes like uttapam and dosa were palatable. The Bombay sandwich and poha were terrible. Even the drinks were useless. If you truly want Indian food then this is NOT the place. It is unauthentic mesh up of vague food and taste that God knows whose palette it servers. Never again!!

I booked my table way too far in advance because I was so excited to eat here. Superkhana has gained well earned buzz about Chicago and I wasn’t about to miss out on the opportunity to find out what the commotion was about. The menu is super exciting with tons of interesting options. I had the bun omelet and the no big dill. The sandwich was great, but in retrospect I wish I would have gone with pancakes or the bacon and egg breakfast. I enjoyed the fluffy texture of the eggs and the cheese, but the bread was a tad bit too toasted and it lacked bold flavor for me. That said, it was still fantastic and I’d recommend this place any day over any other brunch for the experience alone. Awesome atmosphere and friendly service, too.

I had a wonderfully creative perfect little brunch here. First of all, the chai is incredible. We ordered several glasses. The grilled cheese was so good, and I loved the helva French toast. We didn’t love the Uttapam. The service was very warm. I highly recommend going! Based in my former stomping grounds and prospering Logan Square neighborhood of Chicago, Superkhana (meaning Super-foodlives up its name with unique and delicious Modern Indian fare. The old fashioned is delicious, perfect mixed with with ghee and orange afternotes. The manchurian potatoes are probably my favorite appetizer of the year so far at any restaurant, are a perfect crisp, drizzled in a manchurian/ aoli mix. The chaat is also good but bit too much mint- the mint could serve better as a side garnish. Finally, the Chile Cheese Naan looks like a pizza, with layers of cheese & Indian peppers, but maintains the authenticity of naan and is delicious. The interior decor is a dope vibe and the service was also top class. I look forward to trying the AM menu soon. This place is a can’t miss in Chicago.

Enjoyed our Sunday brunch at Superhkhana! Atmosphere was really chic and the food was good. We had the grilled cheese and french toast. If you like spicy food, I suggest the grilled cheese. I had mixed feelings after visiting this place. It was our anniversary dinner, and they offered us kale and coconut dish for free. I liked the gesture. On my plate: Dhokla which is bit too pricy.Spinach pizzaBombay sandwichFirst and the best thing is they prepare food in pure ghee(clarified butter), and it just melts in the mouth. It’s a cozy place and located in a good neighborhood. I like the use of unique ceramics, I.e., I didn’t see two plates the same. Well-spoken staff.

A new spot in town serving up "non-traditional" Indian food. I say non-traditional because they have items that you wouldnt see in your typical Indian restaurant, but the food is still more or less authentic. Think more along the lines of street food. The food was fantastic and I cant wait to go back and try more things. The price point is a bit on the high side. The space is great, its trendy without being pretentious. It makes you want to sit a while and enjoy your food. The foods: chana chaat (great appetizer and for sharing...or not), dhokla & sweet potato (delicious dish), bombay sandwich (street food grilled cheese with Indian flair full of flavors that work together), ice cream sandwich (small bite of nostalgia - think childhood). They have a full bar as well. Totally recommend checking this place out at least once. Their pizzas looked awesome - next time for me.

We are glad to get this gem in our neighborhood. We stopped by for an early dinner and were able to be seated with no reservation. It has a menu full of tasty novel options for vegetarians and meat lovers. Cheese naan was spicy and delicious. sautéed kale and liver appetizer were full of flavor and a great spice combo. We will be back to explore the rest of the menu. Pictures don’t do justice.

AMAZING food. Tried making reservations for a Saturday day and it was full so we walked in. Had to wait almost 45 minutes but they were so nice about it. The bombay sandwich is a must- so good. Channa chat and the manchurian fries were good as well. The jalapeno naan was good but could use a sauce. Not a fan of the palak pizza. I wish they had a vegetarian calzone.Great service, amazing food- cant wait to try again.

I would call this place a great concept that has a lot of potential. Our first visit was a little bumpy, but overall good. We ordered the French fry Manchurian, the chili cheese naan, and the Bombay sandwich. It was really nice of our server to give us a complementary chana chaat to start off, which was well made. I pride myself in making chutneys and they did a good job here! The chili cheese naan was really good as well - it looks too simple, but its good! The remaining two items were average in my opinion. I didnt like the idea of chips inside the Bombay sandwich - soggy chips are never a good idea! The Manchurian may have been a one off miss - the sauce was a little too reduced and fries, while crispy, were definitely overcooked. Beyond the food though, the service was exceptionally slow for an after 9 pm dinner. The wait time was close to 50 minutes! However, I would definitely go here again - I like the concept, and I hope they do great things with their play on Indian food!

Overall, I was quite impressed with the new take on Indian flavors. I went with a group of people and we had the chance to order 7 of the dishes on the vegetarian portion of the menu. I enjoyed all of them as they were all quite different. I’m interested to see the menu continue to expand. I’m glad that I had a chance to come while it was still fresh. I would recommend it for Indian food lovers and for non-Indian food lovers equally. Come check it out.
