Sunshine Palace Restaurant in Tra Li

We had the early bird but got but got scammed on paying for coffee when it says dessert or coffee so we choose 2 capichno but they were mean as I had given them a good tip the night before so I wont be calling here again

Its a nice restaurant with lovely staff....I saw how patient the staff on duty was with a drunk person that walked in causing some commotion,😀 , she was calm and patient the way she attended to him. He left gladly feeling well served 😀. The food is great good to look at. It gets quite busy weekends so the best time to dine in is during the week.

0 for customer service. Food is good from what I have tried. Got shouted at last night for asking after 20 mins how long more my food will be. The 2 staff members chatting away laughing at customers literally pointing at them. Not worth going here. Food is good yes but not worth the hassle of dealing with the staff

Absolutely fabulous. This is the first time in the restaurant but We have had two takeaways. The quality is just the same and very fresh. We had the duck in plum sauce, and the skin was crispy and the flesh tender. Just what you would hope for. Will be back and sooner than my waste line needs but needs must.

Advertise as restaurant but are only a takeaway, I drove 20 miles for nothing! AVOID

Awful just awful,Usually the food was good when we ordered, although today it has been the worst experience i ever had.We had to wait over an hour for the food and then when it arrived we were accused of not paying for it. Had to pull up my bank statement just to prove , so un organized but beside that the food it self was awful it was cold and tasted blunt, we ordered spice boxes but it seemed like we got large fries and 2 pieces of chicken each !When we rang and asked to speak to the manager the receptionist wouldnt allow us to speak to them she listened to our complaint then made some excuses that its busy and sometimes you have to wait over an hour so the food will get cold. She finished up by thanking me for calling and hanged up on me with the issue unresolved.

The best Chinese in Ireland, their sweet and sour chicken, beef in black bean, prawn crackers, chips, egg fried rice are some of my favourites and they are amazing in quality, quantity and value!

Great restaurant 😁👍🏻I used visit Sunshine palace once every 2 weeks as a treat and loved it every time 😍 The restaurant is lovely and comfortable and the staff are all lovely 😊 Background music so you feel more comfortable 🎶 Recommend everyone visits some time 👍🏻

Great food. Very busy tonight but food was exceptional!

Poor service observed recently in the take-out recently (using a pseudonym). COVID-19 restrictions were non-existent or poorly enforced. One person allowed in the lobby, save for when I was told to literally wait in the corner for my order while people were allowed to basically walk over me. Was verbally abused by a customer who blamed me for his delay (when I had ordered ahead of him, and was being told that my order was ready in 2 minutes every 2 minutes), to which the staff did nothing to stop or acknowledge. Ended up waiting nearly 20 minutes after the order was said to be ready for, and was quite distressed with all the abuse. Could have done so much better, complete joke.

Very good because me myself is a waiter there. Lol

Devine food. General Tsos King Prawns and Exotic King prawns are a definately "a go" Havent tasted anything as tasty as those chinese dishes in Sunshine Palace. Polite and pleasant service. Short waiting time. And their €13.50 Special Offer deal is just amazing.

Excellent! We had a party of 6 and we each had a different dish and they were all delicious.

Went with family group on a Saturday night for a birthday. Great place, food, friendly service and value for money. Prawn satay excellent, spring rolls crispy and fresh. Everyone enjoyed their food.

The service was terrible and the food was the worst weve had while on holiday. We ordered the special which included a starter, main dish, drink, and dessert. The dessert never came because the server never returned after bringing our drinks. Some kid hanging around brought out our starter and main dish. The tables to both sides of us also never received their dessert. At one point a couple was seated and no one came to take their order - they finally just got up and left. I wanted to like this place because of the reviews and when we did talk to the people who worked there, they were super nice.

Their employees attitude sucks big time, have the guts to serve the bowls of dessert by banging the table, worst service Ive ever seen! Chef didnt want to make any comments after we complaint that the ginko in the dessert are spoilt. Well, silence means consent.

Restaurant itself was clean and well maintained, very nice decor inside. Service was flawless and food was amazing, filled with flavour and presented very well. Would definitely recommend!

Average of 4.5? I waited an hour for starter. The main followed 2 mins later. It wasnt busy. Really plain grub. I didnt complain. Just havent been back.

Every time my boyfriend and myself come in were welcomed warmly and taken well care of by Sam! Nice place, good food and Sam is amazing , she always leads the way to our usual table :)

One of the Chinese I have been to in a very long time I lived next to one of the best Chinese in central London for years and this is very close to it and still has me asking is this better !!!! Great food and fantastic staff highly recommend to anyone who loves a great Chinese and a very warm feel inside.

Did the Sunday buffet which at €12 represents good value. Good food without being anything special.

Although I am definitely not a big fan of Chinese Food - My husband is so every time we go backfor our annual visit to Tralee for a visit with family, we make certain to have at least one dinnerat the Sunshine Palace. First of all, we stay at the Grand Hotel right around the corner on Denny Street and also always attend Sunday Masses at that beautiful Church right next door, so itis totally convenient. This year when we did our 5 night stay at the The Grand we ate twodifferent nights at Sunshine Palace. The best thing this year, in addition to the wonderful foodand service was the new Gal who has just recently come over from China, that we just LOVED."Fiona" (Chinese Name - Minghui Wang). She is not only adorable in appearance but just oneof the most loving girls we have ever met. We live in Costa Rica now for the past sixyears and we told her, sincerely, whenever she is able, we would just love to have her as a HouseGuest of ours down here in Santa Ana, Costa Rica, so we could get to know each other evenbetter. This restaurant has also obviously been re-decorated since our last visit to Tralee in2013 and although it was always very attractive, now it is just gorgeous on the interior. Anycomplaints? Yes, just too much food on the plate. I am now trying to starve myself here at homeattempting to get rid of all those pounds I just gained - eating in places like this in Tralee!
