Sunset Plaza Shopping Center - Shopping Centre in Massapequa Park, United States
👍
Very clean center. Lots of different options.
Got a pizza place, boutique grocery store, a postal office, a GameStop, and a few other places as well.
When to Uncle Gs for a birthday cake. Ended up getting a Oreo buttercream cake. Was absolutely delicious.
I really like this plaza, I find very nice products there.
Had to pick up a few things at Rite-Aid. Wish I could remember the cashiers name. Very helpful.
Poorly designed parking lot. dangerous coming in and going out.
theres always one to many cars on your way
I just moved to this area andPIZZAIOLA has the best Pizza . I am very picky about my Pizza 🍕and they do Pizza perfectly.
H and R BOUTIQUE BEAUTIFUL DRESSES , THE PEOPLE ARE AWESOME VERY CLEAN
What ever store I visited every one is helpful and friendly!
King Kullen was better. Not happy with the new ownership of Pizzaiola either.
Pretty much everything I need is in that area. There is a couple supermarkets and stores restaurants banks. The Post Office is located over there as well. There is also a Starbucks and Wendys in that shopping area. And its on a main road.
The Mall that time forgot. I have a lot of memories of coming here to the antique and thrift section, I miss Michaels. Aegean PIzza is still one of the best places to get a really good slice.I hope youre doing well, Sunset Plaza.
Great stores, but tricky leaving the parking lot, because there is no clear tragic pattern to ENTER and EXIT you exit right out onto Deer Park Avenue with no traffic light!!
I started to shop here only because it is right around the corner to my house. I normally go to Walgreen but that is about 1 mile away. Im glad that its here because I found that Rite Aid has very good prices as well as the items that I need. So now I am a customer of Rite Aid. I buy many things here that what you would need in your home. For instance Medical supplies as well as water and chocolate that my step daughter loves. So give Rite Aid a chance I have and I am glad it is just a walk from my house.
I would like to add to original post below. The past to times I have bought salads there I was very disappointed! Both times the potato & macaroni salads were like eating spoon fulls of mayonnaise. The pasta for the pasta salads were really overcooked, like mush.Parking is always crowded since uncle guissipes moved in. Good meat & produce, but very pricey.
I love this place to eat asian cuisine. Its very nice intimate setting here dim lights around sitting area. Food is lit up with lights which is a major plus.
Always shopped at the clothing stores /and other different store there , and stop and eat at the sunset plaza , All very good stores
Had to go to the teachers Federal credit Union located here. First time really being in the shopping center. Plenty of stores and a variety to choose from for anybody to shop of all ages. Very big parking lot located in the shopping center which makes it easy to park at any time of the day or evening.
Sunset has almost everything you need whether its food, glasses, video games or pet supplies. Its definitely had a lot of different shops come and go, but its a pretty nice area with a wide array of shops to choose from.
Varied selection of stores. Newly opened Uncle Giuseppes market is a real treasure. Very knowledgeable help and extremely friendly people
Uncle Giuseppes is there! Need I say moreEvery Italian memory you can think of!!!Between food and dish wear and other artifactsLove the Chain!!
Uncle Giuseppes is awesome. So is Pizzaiola. As long as these stores are in the Sunset Shopping Plaza, Im going.
I was specifically there for banking...this time. This shopping center is always attracting stores...the bad is a lot of new businesses fail in the first 3 years, but thats usually due to people not understanding business. Whether its first timers or improper business models...I cant say. What I can say is its not the location. Sunset City Shopping center is just finishing a sort of revival, with a great anchor store (Uncle Giuseppies, I murdered that, loljust opening after a full gut and remodel of the old King Killen that was in that spot.Theres a lot offered in this shopping center, and with easy access off 231/Deer Park Ave, which is fed by Sunrise Hwy, Southern State and Northern State Pkwys as well as the L.I.E, most Long Islanders pass by several times a week. Try it.
It gets 3 stars bc of the traffic. During prime time it can be a pain due to the Wendys drive through line and its tough to turn into if youre heading north bound. The left turn in has no light unless you do a uturn. Clean though. Nice strip mall. Good stuff in there.
Has a great pizza place, a Rite Aid for when you eat too much pizza, and a post office so you can mail your will to your lawyer in case you dont make it off the porcelain throne. 11/10.
For people living locally this shopping center has a lot to offer. There is a post office, drug store, great pizzeria, health spa, PetSmart, etc. Coming soon is an Uncle Giuseppe italian food store. Im getting hungry.
I can never ever not dislike Rite Aid my pharmacist is the most beautiful lady in the world her name is Jean and not to mention the people that work back there with her are spectacular they all need raises I will repeat that over and over again they all need raises also the people that work in Rite Aid or sweet to in the store
Yes I stopped in there when Im in New York and that shopping center has a great pizza place and I always get pizza day I cant think of the name of it but its in that shopping center and its good pizza. And I always get a veal parmesan hero with extra cheese.
Since the Liquor store changed ownership I hate it. The new Chinese men are LAZY AND LACK CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. Too lazy to show customers where items are. The other store across the street is much better, got my bottles of Skinny Girl over there.
A varied selection of stores do you do have variety. Free parking and there is a bunch of other stores right across the street also so its a good location
Shopping center has wide selection of stores for everyone. US post office location available as well as supermarket. LA Fitness recently opened in shopping center as well as Starbucks and Wendys for drive thru pick up.
I miss all the old stores that were there.Dont find many stores in there worth my time. So I dont go there much. All the speed bumps are annoying, but I guess with how people drive it was necessary.
We really only go here for the pizza or the bank. Pizziola(spcan be really good.King Kullen is here, TFCU bank, a new PetSmart is here, and other stores we never go to. There is a Wendys in the parking Lot, and a starbucks that is terrible. There used to be a Friendlys we went to all the time but its gone.
So many stores and now that pay half is gone we actually have a LA fitness thats worth going to.Mahogany assisted me while i was there and now I no longer go to any other gym. Its clean and has all that you can ask for.
Took two stars off due to Saturday traffic and drivers in parking lot. Shoppers walking to and from stores are prone to not looking and just walking in well, clueless-like manner. Saturdays many vehicles park along no parking zones making pass through tight and drivers lack courtesy, especially those who do not park but wait for people at Post Office. The lot would be a good location for driver road tests. Everyone would fail. Excellent Italian restaurant tucked away in corner - Pizzaiola- not sure of spelling. Not sure if they take reservations. Just be careful in lot.
It has good stores, the US Post Office, a free standing bank and a free standing fast food restaurant. Starbucks is there, an Italian Restaurant/Pizzeria. LA Fitness is new there and there is a King Kullen supermarket. There is a good mix of stores.Only drawback is the traffic congestion on Deer Park Avenue, particularly at rush hour, that starts building around 4:00 and tapers off around 6:00.
Do not go to this place to eat food. They do not like that give out the crab legs. Their food sits for hours you pay the $$for dinner have the same food for lunch. If you are a crab leg eater do not go there looking for crab legs. They do not like to put them out.
Looks as if it is improving. It had a lot of empty stores but now LA Fitness is there it looks much better. Could use a NICE clothing store, not like nasty Rainbow. King Killen is so dingy & run Down. Last year the deli was closed for days for mold! The King Killen I West Islip is MUCH more upscale!
Food are always overdue of dates and dont have workers to understand and give attutide of all your questions thankfully some managers try to handle situations about it. Ive purchased food that either needs to be cooked same date or even the yogurts are expired on dates. They have to check there food items before putting them on shelves. So unfortunately I purchase foods and have to check them all the time cause the meat sections are so expensive but have to cook them for the day you purchase them. I feel they dont care but thats the only place I can go to for a quick purchase and please dont get me wrong about the workers because I happen to know almost all of them but they are very nice to me expect the newcomers who looks like they hate theyre job.. they have to be more organized and polite prices need to go down because Im in a point to shop elsewhere.
Good shopping center. Has a nice selection of shops. Brand new construction of an LA fitness gym. Only problem is the supermarket. Kind Kullen, which doesnt have a wide range of products and is, without doubt, the most expensive supermarket on LI.
You can find a Pizzeria, Fro-yo, Spanish, Asian, American cuisine, Supermarket, Coffee shop, Fast-food chain, Post office, Pharmacy, 24/7 Pediatric Care, Nail and Hair salon. Also, a Gym coming soon!
A great array of stores. The King Kullen is well maintained, the Italian restaurant is very good, you have the bank, post office, salon, food choices, fresh juice, amongst other diverse establishments. The newest addition is a Pet Smart and an LA Fitness is underway.
I grew up going to this mall & they used to have great stores. No clue why they shut half of it down for a gym! Theres enough gyms in the area already. Guess Ill go for the jeweler or (costlypizzeria thats in there once in a while.
Decent selection of stores, but the management/owners dont put much money back in. They have even done away decorating the parking lot and store exteriors for the holidays. If it keeps up I will take my business elsewhere
At the time of this review they are renovating and adding two new stores. A larger per store and a gym. The other shops within are still great but the parking lot can get a bit hectic at times
Like shopping in this plaza but recent store closures have given it a gloomy feel. Miss having retail stores close to home. Have to now travel to malls for items we once could have purchased less than a mile away.
Probably improvement with all those bargain stores going and being replaced by LA Fitness. They have added some strange stuff lately, a high end wig store and wedding shop. My understanding is the rents there are too high for what it is. Overall though, more stuff than most strip malls, and Buffet and Wild Wings nice to have so close.
Nice location, very relaxed atmosphere. Youll find what ever you might need, theres a great pizza shop/restaurant, King kullen grocery store, a few shops for apparel, lane Bryant, sneaker store, rainbow shop and a massage spa, Elements massage spa which is wonderful and, 9rounds kick boxing fitness studio, which is awesome.
