Sunset Cliffs Cave - Tourist attraction in Tijuana, Mexico
Beautiful view and perfect place to relax!
This spot, oh man this spot. If you live in San Diego and you’re not impressed every day with this gorgeous bed of a city beneath you, seek a life coach. Sunset Cliffs, it’s beauty, wakes you up like coffee—then hypnotizes, hypnotically. Hypnotically. Don’t fret the loose cliff dangers here—too much—just use judgment and common sense. I got engaged here, so footing is key. 😉
Beautiful place to sit and take in views. Be careful. I almost fell but I am clumsy so there is that but Street parking is available and people come all day all night
Nice scenery but a little bit crowded.
Beautiful spot to relax and enjoy motherearth
Sunset Cliffs are some incredible views of the ocean in the Sunset neighborhood. Theres lots of free parking on the side of the road, and theres usually only a handful of people here at once. Perfect place for a quick walk, or watching the sunset.
This was an amazing end to such a long day of traveling…… our first stop of many on our trip to southern California!
Breathtaking!! Just simply a stunning masterpiece of rocky jagges cliffs, sprawling turquoise wake, tide pools and soft sand. Wasnt able to enter the caves do to the tide not cooperating with our schedule. For someone who grew up on some of Floridas most beautiful beaches this one far surpassed my expectations of SO Cal ocean front.
Beautiful place to watch the sunset. It’s not that difficult to find parking, but you will need to parallel park in some areas. A lot of people have etched their names into the boulders, which kind of ruins the scene. Nonetheless, it’s still a good spot.
Awsome views. Highly Recommend
Wonderful place to stroll around and put on a few steps to burn some calories. The stairway down to the cave was easy and stunning. The cave itself is tiny but fun to look at. Watching the incoming waves from here is quite thrilling! Didnt come here during the golden hour but it was still an enjoyable spot to check out!
Just your typical Beautiful views from Southern California. If you find yourself in San Diego there is no reason to not come here and stare off into oblivion and think about life for a while. "Its a vibe." so go check it out. Unless you hate natural beauty, then maybe go to NYC instead.
Beautiful location. We visited at low tide this time. The area was a little crowded but the “cave” was not.
One of our favorite places in San Diego. The ocean ground was a bit rocky but there were areas that were sandy. Theres no official entrance or ladders/stairs to go down to the beach. Instead theres a path that is sort of challenging (read dangerousthat goes down to the beach. The coves are a bit far but worth visiting. The parking can be challenging too but if you arrive around 5pm you shouldnt have a problem to found one.
Talk about relaxing!! Beautiful views, quiet and sparse crowds. Great opportunity for pictures.
Amazing views, clear water, and great vibe! Parking can get tough but its worth it!
A great spot with some beautiful vantage point for the ocean and rocks!A nice place for some good hikes and watch the surfers 🏄♂️There’s a small trail for hikers as well.
Great spot but not enough parking due to it being a place for houses and people who live there. Also would recommend not leaving right after the sun sets as traffic gets bad on the way out.
Is a nice area to relax and enjoy the sunset. Parking is limited.
Both times we went it was cloudy & we couldnt catch the sunset 😭The town is cute. Parking is ample, just might have to drive a bit before finding some. Saw weddings set up on the cliffs. Very breath taking view.
Awesome....Views a bit breezee...bring long sleeves.
Nice experience with all the seals surrounding the closest beaches. Strongly recommend, but without invading the animal spaces
Even though it was cloudy the experience with those somewhat high waves was spectacular and worth the visit.
Great place to walk around especially at sunset. Watch out for the cliffs and follow the path. The caves are fenced but can be easily seen, and the views of the north, pier and beaches are superb. There are plenty of parking lots along the road and on the street.
Love going here. Had a great time with my daughter.
Its a beautiful place to visit if your ready for an adventure.
Sunset is amazing here, we arrived right before the sun was setting. It is quite windy and chilly during the spring season. Make sure to wear good shoes for climbing up/down. Not sure if we can climb completely down near the caves, did not see anyone below so we did not venture down as well. It is worth the visit.
You can look down through a giant hole in the ground, out through a cave, and see the ocean. My only problem is I always forget to go during low tide when you could go down to the beach and walk around through the cave into the giant hole. Sunset Cliffs is a beautiful location for a walk.
Amazing view. Make sure its low tide (-1 feet or belowand wear comfortable shoes as the stones are slippery. Be ready to get into knee deep water.
Beautiful! If you’re near by during sunset, go! Just be aware if it’s a nice day and sunset, traffic will be busy leaving.
Breathtaking views all over the area, great sitting area to see the sun set. Amazing landscape. The landscape are like real tour of desktop wallpapers. Plenty of places to see the sunset and take photographs. Cars are parked on the roadside not sure about parking cost as we took Uber. Lots of people were surfing. Sunset views on the horizon were amazing.
It was so beautiful! Loved climbing down and sat and watched the beautiful sunset!
Amazingggg sunset view!! Tonnes of people but still lots of space to watch the sun go down. Would recommend parking a ways away and walking because traffic gets crazy!
Absolutely Gorgeous!! Check the times for low tide before going to the cave for safety. Be extra careful when going down to the cliffs. Walking to get to the caves can be slippery, expect to get wet. It’s was a great day exploring the caves!!!
Great view definitely a must see if youre in the area. Ample parking, very spacious and just beautiful. The name is appropriate.
22JAN22 SUNSET CLIFFS CAVE@SanDiego one of best sunset that i ever been n taken pictures .. note:-parking is difficult but worth to visit this sunset point…
Very nice place, with amazing views all day long. Lots of parking on both sides of the street. Be very careful when walking around the area. Maybe not kid friendly.
The scenery here is quite breathtaking - would highly recommend. As one local shared with us though is be sure to watch your step.
The ocean and sunset views are spectacular but since this is a review for the cave(s), the experience is underwhelming. The caves are essentially eroding parts of the sandy cliffs. In fact, its dangerous to get around them so the city has put up chain link fence to keep people from getting too close. Nonetheless, its a free stop along the coastline and an enjoyable experience. Unless its a very busy day, streetside parking should be available along the road.
The view is excellent. You can park it on the road and walk to the cave. It is covered with fence so you won’t see much but the view is very good. Great way to spend the afternoon.
Beautiful! Great for walking. Not too crowded if you get there early. Parking is tough later in the evening, but I did go on a Friday afternoon. May be better during the week.
Beautiful walk along the water. The hole cave people post about is cool to see but only if you can walk down to it if and when the tide is down, which is a certain time of day🤨. The houses out there are amazing. Great place to take a walk or watch sunset. Not really for young children. Lots of cliffs and really dangerous spots to fall down.
Love sunset rides at Sunset Cliffs😍. Had the gps take me to the back roads coming from Hill drive to avoid traffic on Sunset Blvd cuz its always crowded around this time. Sunset was already coming down and the view coming down from the motorcycle on Hill drive was amazing.
Sunset cliffs is one of my favorite places in San Diego. The cliffs are beautiful. I always check what time the sunset is and get there a little earlier. It does get busy on some days and parking can be tricky. You are near the ocean so you do get a breeze. I always bring a jacket. When watching the sunset, feel free to bring a blanket. You can lay it out, sit, and relax under the beautiful sky. Enjoy!
What an amazing place. Just beautiful cliffs and the ocean. Saw plenty of wild life, dolphins, seals, pelicans and etc. We never got to a cave because of high tide. But will return in the future for further exploration.
Do yourself a favor and research when the tide will be low! Worth it, I did not and had quite the adventure to the private beach around the caves and rocks. It was 100% worth it but when the tide was lower it was way easier. There’s tons of tide pools around so a lot of live sea creatures to see.. just leave them alone... look don’t touch! Also, pack light!
Such a beautiful place to visit if you traveled to visit or explore. The parking is on the street so if you wanna go to sett up a blanket at the end or some chairs or even to just hike and watch the sunset anywhere between 430-530 is a great time. The place is usually packed .
This is a must visit place in San Diego, if you enjoy Sunsets and beautiful coastline. Place does get busy, you should be still able to find some street parking. You can sit enjoy the nature and watch beautiful sunsets. Last time I visited there was a wedding going on at this location. Highly reccomend this place.
This was amazing! If you come to visit San Diego...you must go to watch the sunset at Sunset Cliffs Cave. Its stunning!!! Great experience!!! Lovely! You can go down the beach and feel the sand and water in your feet...just be careful...is a little dangerous, you may want to use the right shoes for it. Just go and enjoy it! You would not regret it!
What a great spot! We were thankful to have a place to sit on our blanket away from the small crowd that formed. Glorious view of the sea & sunset. Warning that there aren’t barriers between the cliffs & the sea, and the cliffs are sandy & eroding every minute, so be wise & don’t get too close or bring little people who may not listen & get too close. Enjoy the view after some tacos!
