Sunny Teriyaki - Japanese restaurant in Bremerton, United States
This is a really nice restaurant. Really good food. I love their teriyaki chicken with steamed rice and salad. They give you plenty of food. They have such nice staff. The restaurant is very clean. I havent eaten there in a month but plan to go back soon. I would recommend this place to anyone
Thank you for a wonderful dinner
Food was amazing, huge portions for only 18$ It was hot even though i had it delivered. Definitely new favorite teriyaki place
Just stopped by for a quick snack before dinner. I got the miso soup and Spicy Tuna Roll. And it was delicious. The place was very clean and the service was awesome. Cant wait to try the rest of their menu
This has got to be some of the worst food locally. I needed a bite in a pinch and got the closest thing to me which was regrettably this spot. I got the small chicken bowl which came out to about 12 bucks. It was maybe one entire chicken thigh served at room temp with a ton of rice and piping hot veggies. The rice was unseasoned and the veggies were swimming in grease. I threw out the entire thing because it was inedible. Prices may be higher but you cant just serve garbage like this. Two stars because I was definitely not hungry after getting my meal.
Wanted to try because the photos looked amazing. This was the worst take out food I have had in a long time
Love their vegan sushi, simple but very tasty and well presented
The fried rice was nothing special, but the almond chicken, Kung pao chicken, and cream cheese wontons were very good. Would eat here again especially now that my expectations are set.
I gotta say first of all I LOVE that this is drive-thru terryaki place. You dont see many of those and its nice to have a drive-thru that is not fast food or coffee. Expands your options if you dont want to get out of your car.I will say thought the location of the menu board and speaker box is a bit confusing. Looking at the building from the street enter the from the right side of the building. Then keep driving past the building and just beyond the building on the right hand side is the entrance to a tiny turn around which is where the menu and speaker board are.I ordered the Orange Chicken with Fried Rice. And 2 egg rollsThe orange chicken was actually amazing. Not your run of the mill orange chicken but actually mixed in with some veggies which also took on the orange flavor and I loved that. The Fried rice was a bit bland and honestly burnt. However a positive was that it looked like the rice they used was a bit bigger grain than the normal fried rice you might get at another place. The Egg Rolls were good but are the size of Spring Rolls. But the flavor was great. All in all good experience. Will be backShare review Write an update Remove review
Great Teriyaki! Fast & easy! Reasonable prices!
I go there for there short rib dinner. Its very very good
Its made for drive through. Could tell not fresh. We were looking to try as we usually do happy teriyaki but this was closer. Happy is much better. Worth the drive
What you get for the price is good. They could use some repairs/upgrades. Think they my have had some hard times cause of the pandemic.
I ordered sweet and sour chicken at 11:50am and got charged $10.60 for a dinner portion when they have the lunch menu posted. It took 10 -12 minutes to prepare and it was over cooked, chewy and hard, it was the worst I have ever had.
Fried rice is no good, overall meal soso. Probably wont be back.
Never again will my family eat here! We order 3 orange chicken, 2 beef fried rice, 1 reg. Teriyaki, egg rolls and 2 cheese wonton. Over $110 including tip. They gave a super duper spicy Teriyaki. I called to have it corrected. The owner yelled at me and hung up. As my daughter walked in to return for new Teriyaki she hears him yelling at me over phone then yelled at her in her face with no mask on. Bad place, no professionalism, horribe service and bad food. Soggy chicken, over cooked rice and mushy, greasy soaked egg rolls, chicken gross, and cold cheese wontons.None of our meal came with a salad besides the corrected Teriyaki and my other daughter had an allergic reaction to the corrected meal. The lady said the meals come with salads. So we didnt even get our proper food order.
Sunny is always fast, delish and amazing. Always great for a quick lunch or dinner
The portions are very generous. The Teriyaki is delicious. Id say my favorite Teriyaki in Bremerton thus far. Bonus is that they have a drive thru.
Been going to Sunnyβs Teriyaki since I was a kid and never have stopped coming since. Excellent food, and great variety. I would eat here over a 5 star restaurant every single time. Sunnyβs rocks!
Whats for dinner? Sunnys Teriyaki! So we opted for some teriyaki this evening. Since our last visit, nearly ten years ago, I will honestly say that I wasnt inspired to eat there again after last time. But it was time to give Sunnys Teriyaki a try again. After looking through their menu online four times, I noticed they offered several heavenly-sounding items. Not only do they have teriyaki and combo meals, but they also provide a hearty choice of soups, sushi rolls, appetizers, lunch specials, sides, and Chinese wok meals. Yup, unless you know what you want, it will take you several glances to decide. Their menu was slightly more extensive than what I expected; still, there were choices to be had. I knew for certain that I really wanted some teriyaki, and my husband was craving egg rolls!I ordered ahead for pickup; in fact, Sunnys Teriyaki is relatively close to where I live.I ordered the chicken teriyaki and a side of egg rolls. The chicken teriyaki came with white rice (we substituted for fried rice for an additional $2and a side salad with ranch dressing; the side of eggrolls was a total of two small egg rolls.I feel they must have made part of my order early; my Teriyaki was barely warm, but the two egg rolls were hot; nonetheless, the Teriyaki was flavorful and saucy with large chicken pieces and there was plenty of it.Now, about the rice, what can I say? It wasnt my favorite fried rice. The rice did have a background flavor of smokiness; I was trying really hard to figure out why that would be, perhaps how they cooked it or what they cooked it on?? It wasnt overwhelming, but enough of the taste to linger.Onto the eggrolls, the taste was ok, but the size or lack of size was disappointing. I think we were given spring rolls and not eggrolls; I have never eaten an eggroll so small, I did not measure, but if I had to guess, the size was probably four inches long and about a half to three-quarters of an inch in diameter. The price of $4.50 in comparison to what we had was reasonably expensive.Because they didnt satisfy the hunger for eggrolls, I ended up buying a couple of eggrolls today from Safeway, and they were a little over six inches long and around two inches in diameter.Last but not least, the salad. Crispy fresh iceberg lettuce mix with ranch dressing. I am still confused on why ranch dressing seems to be the "go-to" salad dressing around here; I wish places would offer at least two dressing choices. My husbands exact words on the salad were, "its a side salad with ranch dressing!"Moving on to the building, which was in ok shape, the drive-through menu board could have used some help. However, I fully understand that many of our locally owned small businesses are teetering on closing or having a tough time staying open, let alone remodeling something right now, so that is easily forgivable! The lady that finalized my order was smiley and friendly; its always nice to see someone that looks happy, especially during these Covid times!Sunnys Teriyaki has been around for a very long time, and its nice to see a small business still surviving after all of this time. What I can say for sure is that you should try their Chicken Teriyaki!!!!"Please keep supporting all of our locally owned small businesses; they are an essential entity in our community; we thrive when they thrive, and please be safe and kind to all living creatures!!!"
Low quality ingredientsFried rice was decentNoodles were flavorlessChicken was almost non edible, terrible cuts of meatCrazy expensive! there are much better deals in town.
Amazing food. So easy to order ahead and pick up. Your taste buds will thank you.
Fried rice was super lubed, taste like it was smoked rice, and likely from yesterday. Not the worst ive ever had, but far from the best. I hope they just hired a newbie cook and it will be better next time.
This place is good and inexpensive and I have been going for a while now . I am a fan of delicious food with great value . They have good servings and prices with little wait time , assuming there arenβt a lot of customers , but if you want good food then I would get in line now .
I love this place! Food is wonderful! Havent had a negative experience yet! The crew is great! Very fast in and through the drive thru in under 5 min every time! I highly recommend!
A nice place with pleasant staff and great food! They even have a drive thru. Being disabled not having to get out of the car for food well above the average fast food fair is a true blessing. I have not had anything there I have been unhappy with and I try to get there often. I love their Unagi Roll best of all.
Always been so nice to me. My favorite meal there is the short ribs meal that comes with rice and salad. I like the owner. Friendly people
Off the beaten path restaurant. Outside the place it doesnt look too appealing but once inside the food was great. Portion size was heaping big.
This is my favorite place to eat. The food is super good and very fairly priced. The staff are all incredibly sweet too. Ive never had a bad meal here, and theyve never messed up my food/ gotten my order wrong.
Worst chicken. Katsu I have ever had. First mistake covered in sauce.. no katsu has ever come this way from bremerton to San Diego that I have had.. and it tastes like weak bbq sauce mixed with katsup.. chicken is rubbery... just dont do it
Food is good, a little overpriced. $15 for a meal with fried rice is a bit much. But the drive thru is convenient. Wish they were open on sundays.
This place has always been the absolute best! Order the Generals Taos Chicken. The chicken is always cooked just right, still crispy after the sauce is added, never soggy like other places. The sauce actually has real flavor and spice, not something out of a can or jar pre-made. The onions are sauteed and have bite. I always eat there instead of take-out even when Im by myself because this is some 5-Star restaurant quality food.
If you want the best, flavorful Wonton soup in Kitsap County you come here. My husband will not eat wonton soup anywhere else. I love the Chicken Teriyaki L1 lunch special is the best!
So let me say that I got to be honest, I have never seen a teriyaki restaurant with a drive thru. I had the chicken teriyaki and the chicken was good but smothered in sauce. You get two big portions of rice and a salad. The lettuce was crisp. Now with that being said, you donβt get anything to put on your rice and salad. So you better try and save some sauce from the chicken for the rice and you better have salad dressing at home. As you can see I had some at home but not what I wanted for my meal.
One of my favorite teriyaki places. I always call ahead and pick it up at the drive through. Always cooked fresh and tasty
Always delicious!! Only reason I didnβt give 5 stars was because sometimes the wait is kinda long... even when I have called in an order I still wait at the window for 10 minutes or so.
These photos popped up on Facebook today, it seems I opted for dinner with air conditioning two years ago, so I ate at Sunny BBQ - Chicken, Beef, Pork Terriaki. I choose Sweet and Sour Chinese Chicken. It was ok.
I ordered through UberEats. We got a potsticker appetizer, chicken teriyaki bento box and the curry chicken. First off, the lid to the gyoza sauce wasnt even on all the way, so they were soggy and the bag was a mess by the time we got it. In the bento box the chicken was completely dry... even when it was drowning in the sauce. The tempura mix had so much breading on it that it tasted raw. The worst part though was the curry chicken. The sauce was almost as if they took a bag of premade curry sauce and dumped it over some chicken, mushrooms and green peppers. It was almost the consistency of jello. The green peppers were completely overpowering and even partially raw. I upgraded to fried rice and the carrots in it were burnt and it wasnt completely mixed. I had numerous chunks of white rice in it.In my experience, it was the first and probably last time I will choose to eat here
The food was good. But, the menu online is not the same as the menu in the store. I ordered online and got a completely different meal, and when I questioned them they pretended not to be able to understand what I was saying.
Ordered through uber eats by mistake having it confused with Joy Teriyaki (which is what I had wanted). I ordered a bento box, salad came with no dressing so i turn to the main food and grab the egg roll first and theres a black hair wrapped around it. Tried the gyoza and its far from good. Tempura is barely fryer. Rice and chicken were good. But thats about it. Overall so sad I got the places confused because what an utter disappointment and so gross to find a hair in your food! I promised myself I would never go to Sunnys again after the last time I went and found ants in my sofa cup because they wete all over there soda machine(in restaurant).
Always been my favorite place back home!! Will you bring me some in Auburn lol. Ill definitely make it in to the restaurant I love it definitely clean cozy amazing customer service!! Food is literally THE BEST I HAVE EVER EATENππππππ€ππ
Best teriyaki in town! Ive been to many teriyaki/asian restaurants and this is the best one. Meats are grilled perfect, the sauce are not too sweet and fresh side dishes! Highly recommend.
Absolutely the best restaurant Ive eaten at. The portion of the food is so much for a price that is so little compared to places Ive eaten at. The sauces are so delicious. Ive been eating here for more than 20 years and its always great service too. Im glad they have a drive thru since I dont want to get out of my car on rainy and cold weather days. They even got Uber Eats now so now its better because they deliver straight to you and I can order on my phone in the convenience of my home or work. Thanks Sunny Wok Teriyaki for consistent great food, high quality ingredients, great value, and friendly-kind service.
I just ordered the chicken fried rice... Its very, very good. Better than I expected. Yes I will order it again and again. Love it
The place has good selection and big servings. I just wished their soda fountain was working.
Ordered food there today. They got my order wrong. When are called in to see if they would fix it, they said come in and we will make it right. When we got there, they said it wasnt their fault, and they wouldnt remedy it. Never going back again. Its one thing to make a mistake. Its another to blame the customer.v
Good food, clean place, Nice owner, decent price. He even took 25Β’ out of the tip jar to give me bills for change.
The small mom-and-pop restaurant has good food in a quiet atmosphere. The parking lot might be small but is easy to navigate.
Cool design on building and interior design! nice lighting and tv and grating sittings and parking lot. I love their drive through feature too.But in the end, when it comes to restaurant, its about food. This place had good teriyaki but sauce was too much and too salty personally. some may enjoy that, but It was little too salty for me.Everything else was great
The food is Amazing!!!! The services is always super friendly and promt !!! This is my #1 favorite place to eat I recommend Sunny Teriyaki 100% :D
