20222, Lopud, Croatia, Dubrovnik
Small, secluded sand beach featuring low-key restaurants renting lounge chairs & umbrellas.
The beach is so dirty with washed up litter from the sea and litter from the bars like plastic cups and cigarettes. Its not a nice place to relax.
One of the few sandy beaches in Croatia. Beautiful!
Best beach on the island of Lopud. It can get crowded for that reason, day trippers from Dubrovnik arrive for the day. A couple of nice places to eat and drink. Prices are reasonable. There are golf cart taxis available at there arent any cars on the island
Like most of Croatia - simply beautiful.Unfortunately, you are a captive audience for the bars / sunbed rentals etc
Stunning place. Make sure you have snorkel gear. Lots to look at.
Very nice beach but DO NOT TAKE GOLF CARS, it is a WASTE OF TIME, drivers are so unrespectful, INSULT tourists and conduct very dangerously using honk a lot, I guess that animals living there hate them also. They leave you in the middle of the island since they cannot go further, still have 15min walking for return... They are waiting long time to put a maximum of people in the car for rentability so you wait 10min + 15min remaining so you got 25min instead of 30min by walking yourself => DO NOT COMPT ON THEM for taking the boat.If they are not happy with their job, I suggest them to change it or increase the prices and invest on smaller cars to adapt to the demand. VERY BAD SERVICE
Lovely sandy and clear blue water beach with that "Instagram" swing you can take pictures with. We took a ferry from Dubrovnik to Lopud for €4 each way. Once you arrive on the island youll follow a path up a hill slightly to a "Taxi" area, they are little golf carts that drive you to the other side of Lopud to the beach and its 20 Kuna each person each way which is fairly decent. Works out a little over €5 each way for 2 people. The beach has many beds and bars which are not the cheapest but not the worst. Beach is well worth the visit for the swim and views
Nice beach. I went there by boat. The sand there is super hot, as if you are playing the floor is lava so carry your slippers.
Amazing our go to beach. Watch out for price hike with sun loungers and brollies. Price difference of 70 kuna second day.
Beach with sand. 20 HRK (one personfor a taxi to get us there from the other side of the island.
One of the best beaches in Croatia. One advice- if you want to spend the whole day there. Skip the 3 island tour. Cuz you’ll have just 2h there. And definitely have a taxi to the beach. Don’t walk the way.
Disappointing spot comparing with others Croatian beaches (ex Lapad).. Quite dirty and crowded.First time I have to pay (5krfor a 30seconds after-swim shower… it shows the philosophy of this place…It is not worth the 30min walk from the city..
Since this is a sandy beach the water is not as clear and beautiful compared to other spots on the island. Also the water is getting warmer throughout the day and not so refreshing. Its a 20 min walk from the harbour. Second half of it is in the shade. There are some taxis if you really dont want to walk. They are 20 Kuna per person, one direction. At the beach Sunchairs and an umbrella are 200 Kuna. Youll need them. There is no shade. Prices for food are higher. An ice cream costs almost twice as much as in the super market in the harbour. Remember to bring cash. Cards are not accepted.
Beautiful beach and shallow sea, lovely and warm though the sand was so hot, I was just surprised it hadnt melted into glass!!If its not too hot and you have the time, a walk from the harbour would be lovely. In the heat, the golf cart is well worth it.Still mainly cash (sunbed, loungers, parasols, etc.so be prepared - though the bar there takes card.
A paradise in earth. Stunning beach with crystal clear water and great atmosphere. Theres place for buying drinks and food. Also you can rent a chair and umbrella. Cards are accepted. Wonderful beach.
One of the best sandy beaches in the south of Croatia. Its on the island in Lopud which is an hour boat ride from Dubrovnik. Once on the island, walk about 800m to the Sunj bay taxi stand, take a ride in a golf cart which takes 20 kunas to travel to Sunj beach. The beach is lovely sand and crystal clear water with very shallow waters upto a few hundred meters which makes swimming very relaxing. Make a special photo with the swing in the water
Great place to wind down after a day on the boat. Bach is actually sandy which is rare in the area and thus different than most. The beach in srebreno has pebble on the coast while the long walk is similar to sunk. Sun will go down by 6pm . One can also take an electric cart from the beach to village so it’s a good spot for spending a day on water as village had food and restaurants.
Nice beach with shallow water and protected swim area. Quite a few tour boats anchor here during the day and all seem to arrive at the same time. There is a small charge to rent chairs on the beach. The water is clear and seems clean. There are also a couple of restaurants at the beach.Be sure to bring sandals if coming from a boat. The sand is HOT in the summer months.
Beautiful, magical beach. Takes a short hike to get there from the other side of the island, but is well worth it. The sea goes from sapphire to emerald to moody gray and more. Stunning.
Beautiful sandy beach with a restaurant. The water is quite shallow and warmer than in Dubrovnik main land.
Lovely beach. Arrived via a snorkel tour so had to swim ashore. Was only around for 50 minutes or so. Nice sandy beach with a couple of cafes/bars and a free to use toilet. There is a small shower outside the toilet but you have to pay to use. Once finished we swam back aboard our boat and off we went.
Beach is average at most compared to others we have visited in Croatia. The drinks are ridiculously overpriced and you have to pay 5 kuna for a 30 second shower, whereas most beaches have showers for public use. The golf cart there is also overpriced, and the view is crowded with lots of boats. Snorkeling there isn’t really much to see. Beach just feels like a huge rip off, drinks were almost double than on the other side of the island. It was also very expensive to rent a umbrella and chair and was the only option if you didn’t want to burn in the sun.
Absolutely not worthy: full of dirt (plastic, cigarettes, water with sunscreen…). And if you take the golf car you have to wait until its full, which sometimes take a lot more minutes than walking.. Moreover if you don’t fancy paying 50 kn for an umbrella and a bed, you have few space and in the dirtiest part. What a pity!
Sandy beach. Golf cabby 20 kuna per person. Sun bed 50 umbrella 50. Beer 40 - 50 cola 30 kuna
Gorgeous beach, took a short golf cart ride to get here for a couple of kuna and it was definitely worth it. Unfortunately you have to pay for sunbeds, which is a shame. However the water was lovely and crystal clear which was great for swimming. There were quite a few people here but it wasnt too busy, I think the distance between here and the main town definitely helps this. Highly recommend coming to this beach if you visit the island as its stunning.
Definitely worth the short walk through the forested road to this secluded spot. Early is better. Beach bars with lounge chairs for rent. If you are not up for the walk, you can take a golf cart taxi for a small fee.
We were very disappointed when we arrived at the best beach in Croatia. Maybe it was because it was April but it was very dirty and lots of debris scattered on the beach which made it feel a bit rough. It was also a tiny bay which i can imagine being packed in summer. Felt quite touristy and cheap. Beautiful views from the bay but definitely not even close to the best beach in Croatia!
Beautiful Sandy beach 🏖It was a great day, swimming and relaxing with the perfect views and setting
This beach is fantastic! 50 kuna for a du bed, people working are pleasant. Its a 25 minute walk across the Island, or 20 kuna per person for a golf cart ride. I recommend walking there then taking the golf cart back - the walk makes the beer that much more satisfying ;Sandy beach which is not that easy to find in Croatia. The water is shallow pretty der out so good for kids or those who want to just sit in the water on a hit day. Highly recommend if you can make it to the island!
The nicest and largest beach on Lopud island. The view is nice and the water is clear. According to varying weather conditions you may expect sea like a mirror or waves to play with. Want some lux? Pay 50 Kuna per umbrella or deck-chair. To get there you have the choice to ride with a golf car or walk. It will cost you 20 Kuna each.
Great vibe and views, lots of boats, and a rare sandy beach find in Croatia.
Gorgeous sandy beach. How to get there cheap: take de Jadrolinija from Dubrovnik (46kuna return trip pp, goes 4 times per day, leaves at 10:00 and takes an hour to get to Lopud). Then take a golf car for around 20-25kuna. The beach has free public toilets and a lot of great restaurants. Best place to eat and chill for lunch is Rajski Kutak Bindo.
You must visit the cave on the left side of the beach. Its really nice. You can rent a pedalina and go to the cave with it. You need to walk a lot to get to the swimming depth. Great for to play picigin - tossing the ball
Unfortunatly this beautiful natural sand bay, as well as the island, is very untidy and full of trash beside the main commercials. The nude beach is a waste dump. The sandy entrance is nice.
Nice bay with two restaurants and sandy beach. Unfortunately little crowded. Clear and very long shallow water. Safe for kids. There was an ATM too :)
Very good beach, beautiful and clean. Sandy, which is rare for this region, couldve been one of the best beaches if not few issues - first - no shower, walking while covered in salt is not actually a good experience. Second - quite hit prices for umbrellas and sunbeds, if you want to have 2 sunbeds and an umbrella - 100 Kuna, or more. Having in mind point number 1, and number three, you are basically paying for the shade only, no other commodities are offered. Third, maybe most important - bathroom in a very poor state - no soap, no trash bin, I presume toilet paper was there only by chance (didnt see any spare one).
We took a boat trip from Trsteno to one of the 3 islands which ended up being Lopud as beach Sunj had really great reviews.Lopud is a really nice small port and has plenty of restaurants to suit most tastes, including a very nice ice cream bar. It also has a Monestary, but we ran out of time to visit.Sunj beach itself is over the other side of the island and can be reached by waking a path which is only for the fittest, or you could take the better option of a buggy costing 15k each, each way (2020). You will need to walk past the restaurants to find where to catch the buggy.Sunj beach is well worth the trip as its a clean, safe and sandy. The water is the crystal clear as you would come to expect in Croatia, but its a welcome change from rocks. There are parasols and sunbeds for rent, but the time of our trip, no one collected any money. The beach has a good range of places to buy a drink, and if needed, something to eat.If your thinking of one of the islands to visit, Lopud and Sunj beach was a very good choice
Mostly small rocks but also has some sand too. The beach is surrounded by greenery. The water is relatively clean but in Spring the beach has a bit of plastic and garbage washed up (see the photo).
This sandy beach is on the opposite side of the port. You can walk 20 minutes or pay 20 kuna to ride a golf buggy. We walked on the way there but got the golf buggy back. I wouldnt describe the golf buggies as a pleasant experience as they are over crammed and drive very fast. The lanes are narrow but the buggies travel in both directions.Anyway, the beach itself is sandy and absolutely beautiful. The water is so close and there are lots of people swimming and snorkeling. There are also some fishes in the sea.Theres a restaurant and bar serving food and cocktails. Theres also some toilets which didnt have any toilet paper or soap, so you might want to bring some tissues and hand santiser!
Beautiful beach, with no rocks, you can enter with barely foot :free toilet, bars with food and drinks. Its quite far grom ferry, but the path its very nice and not difficult. If you cant or dont want to walk you can use taxi (only 15 kuna for person)
A great spot that we chose to spend the afternoon after we arrived in Lopud. Well lets just say it was so good that we chose to spend the next day there also. You can rent some deck chairs and an umbrella if you just want to chill on the beach and go out swimming. You can also rent a jetski, stand up paddle, kayak, etc... The beach does start to get busy from around midday so get there early to get a good spot. If you get hungry there are 2 restaurants and of course if you run out of cash there is also an ATM, I mean where would you not find an ATM in croatia? 😁. It is a bit of a walk to this beach but you can get here by "Taxi" the cost at the time of writing this was 15 Kuna per person.
As the only sandy beach in the area, I have to give this place good marks. You can either walk over to it or get a buggy. Both are good options. My only complaint is the staff in the local bars. Theyre pretty rude. I was asked to stop loitering outside of some toilets when I was literally waiting for my girlfriend!
Beautiful beach with clear waters and nice green hills in the background. It’s a long walk from the other part of the island, but don’t worry because you can take a golf cart from the “taxi station” for 15 kunas. To rent a sun bed and an umbrella costs about 100 kunas.
Great place! Sunbed is 70 HRK, umbrella is 60kn. There are 2 restaurants just next to the beach. It is a sandy beach and the sand is veeeery hot! 😅
A good place to come with children. Access from the center is done using melex (15hrk one way). The beach is nice, although it is crowded, and the sand is so hot that you have to run to the water rather than walk slowly. The sea is very far shallow, so a good place for people who can not swim. The beach bar and restaurant have good prices.
Not up to expectations at all since this beach was listed as top 20 in the world a few years back(we visited early in the season thou)... Garbage on the beach. Broken bottles along the beach. Why dont the people working there tidy up the place/beac a bit. Sanitary facilities was also bad(remember to bring toilet paperWe did not eat there so I have no idea bout the food. Also unnecessary expencive rental for sunbed and parasol. Total 100kuna. 20$
Lovely beach and one of the few sandy beaches in and around Dubrovnik. Plenty of big pebbles in the sea though so bring some shoes to wear in the sea to stop your toots from getting hurt. Also if it’s a sunny and hot day, make sure you take the golf cart as the 2km walk is quite hilly! Also if you do walk, choose the cycle route rather than the walking route (unless you are an experienced walker).
A nice beach, one of the few sandy beaches around. Littered with sun-beds however. So not much room to just put your towel down and relax. But there is a good selection of bars/restaurants along the front all reasonable priced.
Enjoyed hanging out here for an afternoon. Lovely sandy beach (rare for Croatia). Dont miss seeing the town on the other side of the island - take a golf cart ride for 15 Kuna per person for a 5 minute ride or walk - but its a hilly walk!!
Beautiful beach, low and calm transparent water. Smooth sand (rare in Croatia). Not a lot of people in June. Sunbed available but beware it has a cost ! 50kn per sunbed + 40kn for the umbrella for the day. Public toilets available and bar which sells smquick food and drink. There are taxi on the road to the beach which takes you to the beach for 15kn/person. if you want to walk, there is a path through the wood which is shorter but I do not recommend it if youre wearing slippers.
