This place is closed without notice. We arrived Sunday 130pm, and it was closed. According to the posted time, closing time was 530pm. Moved on to the nearby museum sg lembing, and counter staff told me the mine was closed for maintenance and would only open in 2023. Exact date unknown.

Interesting place with over 100 years of history. Sadly not much artefacts of items on display to engage visitors. Just a short ride into the mine with an old mining train and then a short walk inside with stories along the tunnel. Besides there is not much to see inside the tunnel. No tour guide at all, not sure if it is bcos of MCO lock down. Could hv done it up better with historical and interactive displays. Most would find it boring except the fact it is the longest combined subterranean tunnel in the world at 322km.

Very nice interesting historic place for you to indulge your curiosities of one of the deepest and longest underground mine in the world. Ticket price is around RM 16 for Malaysian adult. Place looked a bit empty maybe due to current pandemic situation (Covid-19). But overall the place is a must visit if you went to Sungai Lembing.

Malaysia was built on tin mines and rubber. This place could have been better restored to be a top class tourists attraction and also for education purpose. Its part of our heritage, Right now only minimal effort to keep this place going. This place deserve better attention

Sungai Lembing is home to the largest network of underground tin mines in the world. If all the cross-cut subterranean tunnels were put together, their combined length would be 322km!The network reaches an incredible depth of 700m at the Myah/Mayah shaft, its deepest mine. Despite this, it is unable to lay claim to the title of deepest mine. That honour goes to the Dolcoath mines in Cornwall, UK with a depth of 1000m.Sg Lembing however, has a far more extensive tunnel network due to the ocurrence of its tin lodes, which are wider and more evenly distributed than those of the Cornish tin mines.DID YOU KNOW?At 322km, the total tunnel length in Sg Lembing, Pahang is more than the distance from Kuantan, Pahang to Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia.

Interesting place to visit. You take the short train ride (~5 mins?into the cave and explore the cave on foot. Once you finished exploring the cave, there isnt anything else to do. Thats it. We spent around 30-40 minutes here.

Historical place. Adult pays RM15 to get in while senior citizen and children pay half. Foreigners pay double i.e. RM30Take a short train ride (30 secondsto get to the tunnel. Then walk inside the tunnel. Some descriptions inside the tunnel are placed at the darker side rather than at area with lights. So cant really read.As per other attractions in Malaysia, this place has problem with toilets. No water and not maintained

It is an old minning site. Some section of the tunnel have been.closed off due to collapsing structure.Entrance cost rm 15 per person (i forgot which one)You enter the mining site via a mining train (it has been converted to using electric)HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR YOU GUYS TO BRING TORCHLIGHT AND WEAR SHOES!!!!!! Else its dark as hell at some section due to not working lighting. There are also water dripping constantly. So some parts of it are wet.People who are afraid of dark are not recommended to go all the way in.Remember to bring torchlight.Btw dont forget to visit the merchandise store. The merchandise sold are quite unique as compared to other.merchandise store.

Its like walking into a piece of history. I would think everything is being kept the way it was left. Kinda eerie and spooky at the same time but priceless in my opinion. They could do a bit more in attraction for the place for people whom the mines alone is not a big attraction. For a relatively small town of Sungai Lembing, I would reckon this is one of their gold-mines for tourist attraction.

There are short distance antique train ride from outside the tunnel to inside. Once reach inside the train operator will inform you that you will need to wait for train again if you want to go out or you can use this way to exit (he will point the way). It is like one way road/street. You will need to come out using the same way you go inside. Very interesting, informative and historical. Worth your penny.

Not a bad place to explore in this small little town. However, I would like to see some improvement as the entrance fees is not cheap. They should restore some of the old mining equipments or machineries.

Many of the exhibits already rundown and spoilt. The 700m deep mine is impossible to those want to go downThe most is up to the 2 tunnels ~1km from the mouth. The other shorter tunnel leads to an illegal mine by workers that was not paid in 1987. It will be interesting if the lift is still in operations

One of the must visit attraction in Sg. Lembing. Enjoy a short train ride in the old mining trolley to enter the dark tunnels which leads further inside. You need torch at certain parts of the tunnels as the lightings are not well maintain. But the experience is great. According to the local folks, there was a lift that can go deeper into the ground of the mine. But due to high cost of maintenance and for safety purpose, they actually closed down the lift for visitor few years back.

Maintenance and upkeep leaves much to be desired. The main info panel at the entrance is damaged and completely unreadable. Shows the lackadaisical attitude of the people working there.

Is definitely A MUST to visit this place. You will know the history of mining here. Is quite imlress Msia yg such a place which is the longest Mines hole in the world!!But what waste is the place is not been maintain well of those interactive instrument. The TV is half broken . And if you not really like history you will feel is boring.I really feel it is a potential tourism hotspot if government can plan nicely how to add in more fun elements & manage well and promote it.

The 300-over meters excellent condition about and mine tunnels uniqueness prevailed as no other mine as such in the region/country... revealing deep & thick historical evidences and non-affected by modernisation even after 40 over years of forced-ceased operation... most prevailing is the unchanged surrounding lifestyles living town and kampungs...

The entrance fee is a bit pricey (RM 15but for a history lover like me, Id say its worth it. You got a tour guide that know everything about tin mines and can ride a mines train for about 1 minute. The underground mines is well maintained and clean. To people who might have claustrophobic, it is advisable not to come here. My friends felt a little bit stuffy though shes not a claustrophobic. We took about an hour to walk in and out of the mines. There are some section whereby you can stop and watch the video about the miners life and the history of the mines cave itself. In my opinion, this is such a great experience.

It’s located 500m away from the Muzium. You can either drive or walk uphill (Malaysians hate walking, I know!). Please pay attention to the operating hours. Schedule your time accordingly, otherwise you might end up like me “white run one trip”.

A must visit destination. The simple miner train rides are unique and fun. Inside tunnel are cooling and chilling as it exudes the camaraderie of how much sweat and even blood are drop inside the tunnel. Well documented history on the wall with pictures and write up commentary....of course the entrance fees now cost Rm16 person..

Some might say, its eerie and spooky. For the non claustrophobic and adventurous, its a pretty decent tour. Chilled winds, echoes and brief history on the mines add a bit of value to your walk here. Its a short and basic one. Worth a visit.
