Sundogs in Varna

Nice bar, very good service and great beers.

This is but a shadow of its past glory. The service is average. The food was of low quality. The pizza was not cooked enough. The burger was tasteless. The cucumbers were awful.

The restaurant is centrally located. The atmosphere is nice, but the service is very slow. There was only one waitress serving the outside tables, meanwhile 4 workers standing inside the pub by the bar area, not doing much. We had to walk inside and ask for service to be served. Hopefully the owner will look into improving the staff management as this place has a greater potential for more customers if the speed and attention was better.

This is a nice rather small restaurant/bar on a main pedestrian street. It has burgers, pizza, some salads but the main focus of the place is to drink some beer or a glass of wine, rather than have a real dinner. Also keep in mind that when the restaurant is full you will have to wait longer then usual for the food .

Awesome restaurant. Later it became a piano bar. Highly recommend.

I ordered a burger and cosmopolitan. The drink was fabulous. The burger was ehh. I was thin, dry and a teaspoon of cheese. The fries were dry as well. The service was attentive but not rushed.

Quite a reasonable variety of good quality world foods and beers. It seems that the place is a hub for foreign visitors, which is a recommendation in itself.

A casual combination of a bar and a restaurant in the city center. Id especially recommend it during late afternoon/evening. Well visited mostly a 30-50 yo crowd. Food is nothing special, but absolutely ok.

They increased their prices but the quality of food and service is still the same as it was. The desert (chocolate caketastes freezer burned and the "Mexican" food is not Mexican.

Expected a lot more for a 12 Leva burger. It’s made with very cheap ingredients and poor attention. The buns weren’t even toasted. Once slice of processed cheese. The filling wasn’t enough for the big bun. Will order something different if I come again.

Very convenient and central location; the service in the afternoon was quick and the food was nice. Nothing spectacular but reasonable considering the prices.

We went there by chance, because we wanted a quick drink on the main square. Good music, waiters are ok, didnt try the food. Rose wine is not as good as expected. It might not feel a cheap location but it was worth it. Good location to avoid the rain and plan the next trips on a glass of a wine.

I been in Sundogs three times since February 2020. The first time was good, friendly staff, fresh salad, nice atmosphere. Second time was okay. But tonight to took a quesadilla on take away. And I had this for 9.5 leva/5€. I can not hide the fact that im dissapointed, and for the same amount of money I could have had better in Western Europe.

A nice cozy pub with decent food, drinks and atmosphere. Service was a bit slow, but the place was more or less full. 4 instead of 5 because the menu is pretty limited which for me means low revisit value - not a lot to try there.

Nice relaxing pub with a large outdoor eating area, the food was very nice and the beer very cold, all the staff very friendly and are covid aware with masks and hand sanitizer.

Great service, staff is always friendly and helpful. Kitchen is delicious. Make sure to book a table in advance as this place is always very busy.

A place for food and drinks with a nice vibe. Both food and drinks were marvelous, as well as the service! Moreover, the management also seems to be friendly with the employess, as there was a slight misunderstanding in the order and the staff didnt have to pay the extra meal, which, unfortunately, is not always the case. Good food but by the time the food arrives you have lost your appetite! Very slow service . Be willing to wait 20 minutes / half hour for food to arrive at the table

If you are living in Varna or just passing by, this bar/restaurant is one of the place you have to go.The staff is friendly and professional.The food is tasty and well coocked.The atmosphere and the mindset are pleasant and easy going.I spent a lot of time there with friends or people met on site - fabulous.I miss it so much. ❤️

Its a good place to stay outside with kids or dogs. A menu is giveing you a chance for a vegetarian, sea food, meet, snack good with beer.They have a bar with many options of the alkohol and vergin drinks.

The menu was good and the seating is on a quiet part of the pedestrian area. The service was good as well. We went for lunch and had no problem getting a table but on the weekends it was busy and we had trouble getting a table for dinner.

Good tidy menu and nice staff. Do order the chicken wings! Theyre one of the best in Varna (relative to the date of this review).

Its a very nice and cozy place in the heart of the city. You can stay there for hours with a cup of coffee, beer or wine - the service is very good. I recommend it 👍😊

Loved the place .Good food and cider! Sat outside on a very hot day with plenty of shelter from the canopy. Good service especially the young 7 year old who seemed to be practicing to be a waitress and who brought useful maps

Great service! Food only okay-ish but worth the buck. I would love to see more variety on the burgers next time! It was a bit bland with only lettuce 🥗 and tomato 🍅

Summer update: They (tooobviously changed the prices on the menu. We came around 13:30pm, waited for food more than an hour. Interesting part is that food was not even bad just that when we order potato rings with cheese we got a pinch of cheese on top and that was it. And apparently with your burger you get fries that look like burned sticks.Winter update: When I was there in winter I only remember massive burger with amazing potatoes (potatoe lover*and reasonable prices. :)

Great little place with nice atmosphere and friendly folks. I went by a recommendation and tried their quesadilla and it was delicious. Pork meatballs were atrocious though. Nice beers too.Bonus point for an indoor piano thats playable. Nice touch.

Basic food place. As usual in Varna the foods arrive separately. No sense of offering food simultaneously to couple. Otherwise good tasting. Only that my Cesar salad had very raw avocado bits....fresh cucumber would have saved a lot. My wifes caprese salad arrived much earlier than mine and the bread she ordered arrived much later. Good local cider that is seldom available. Usually theres only beer and wine selection.

I liked the place. It has a nice vintage look. The burger that i ordered was delicious, and the airan was good too. The menu had some very good options and I will definitely go back to try them.

Nice place for quick drinks and casual dinners in the centre of the city. The cuisine offered is not very veggie/vegan oriented but still have a few such options in the menu. The atmosphere is nice and cosy.

Its a good place if you only want to drink beer and eat potato chips, but I wouldnt recommend it if youd like something good to eat. Prices are quite high for the quality of the food. Its still cozy though.

I had a couple Heinekens and the Sundogs burger which was nice but not many chips on the side. Service was a little slow. I was expecting more of a pub scene from what I read in my Lonely Planet and it seemed more of a place for groups - mostly non-locals here when I went in late September. I imagine it gets a bit more intimate in the winter when expats/tourists probably huddle around the (smallbar to socialise.

Favourite place! Delicious food, cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, good music. Especially pleasant in the warmer nights, the outside terrace is very cute. Can be crowded though, make a reservation if you want to be sure to have a table. Lots of beer and pub food also, preferred place for manu UK folks. Go try it, you wont be sorry :)
