Summit Cafe in Greensboro

Went in with 17 people - they served all quickly and gave me a free meal due to my order being late getting to me - really showed appreciation for our being there

Food was okay. Shrimp and grits was plentiful. Eggs and bacon good. Salad dressings were limited and low quality (Walmart store brand). Staff was friendly (young man running the cash register could have been more enthusiastic about his job, though - lol;). Decor and music were FANTASTIC!!!

The customer service is good and the food is ok but to go from eating off a regular plate to now eating out of plastic is so sad wont be back

Love this place. Just moved to Greensboro, tried The Summit Cafe a couple of weeks ago. It was delicious! The atmosphere was lovely, I love the music. Me and my family have decided this is our go to spot for breakfast.

i just wanted some grits. got there around 9:30 and they were supposed to be open and it was closed.

I wouldnt have put one star but the fact that this the only way to make a review the owner Nezzia Martin you need Jesus disrespecting kids but passing out Black Live Matter shirts . Those children didnt disrespect you and you called security you weak minded

Best coleslaw in NC! All food prepared fresh by people who care. I will definitely be back to see Nesi and crew again!

Food was good, restrooms out of paper towels. BLM posters everywhere.

Stopped by with my family from the virgin islands and we enjoyed every part of our meal and experience. The Gospel Music was on point and made the restaurant experience even better. Great and expeditious service, wonderful owner and staff, quality food! Great atmosphere and I will definitely go back and support when allowed.

Absolutely a hidden gem!!!! Im all about finding then hidden secrets in town when it comes to food and Summit Cafe is definitely on the list! Soul FOOOD and the service is top notch.

They have great food and an amazing cook TY. He always makes his food with love!

My mom and i stopped for a quick breakfast between appointments this morning and The New Summit Cafe was closest! The food was amazing, the Salmon patties for the best ive ever had!!! The service was amazing also! Our waitress and the OWNER were VERY helpful with my Mom, she has a hard time walking and getting up and down!!! They were AMAZING!!! Will be back for sure!!!

Just ate here for the second time. I had eggs, homefries, toast, salmon patties, sweet tea. Wife had same breakfast except for wings in place of salmon. Everything perfect, especially the salmon.... Thoroughly enjoyed meal and the atmosphere. Friendly people, good music, clean. Recommend to everyone. Better than "chain" restaurants.

The waitress was super friendly. The food was great. A wonderful atmosphere. I highly recommend this place.

Stopped by to grab a bite to eat coming back from a work assignment. The customer service was great! The music was on point and I loved the old school set up of the place. I highly recommend the Turkey burger it was outstanding. I’d recommend anyone especially those from out of town who want to support black owned restaurants to support this establishment I will definitely be back ✊🏿

I had a great experience. The staff was friendly and welcoming. It was like going to a family members house for brunch. The food was wonderful with the best cup of coffee. We will be back.

The employee who took my order was very nice and welcoming...she made me feel at home. My burger was excellent and I couldnt stop eating the delicious mac & cheese. Cant wait to go back for seconds!

OMG!! This place is a gem! The manager/owner is a doll, and i will very, very happily spend my money at this longtime, black-owned staple of Greensboro. Theres new reduced hours during COVID-19 (they close at 2pmbut theyll have my patronage forever. Great food and portions with unbelievable prices. Whats not to love?

Love this place. Pork Chop sandwich is out of this world. Grilled chicken is fantastic. Havent had anything that i didnt like. Happy and friendly atmosphere. I have a new favorite place to eat.

Right now I’m sitting in their parking lot and after having waited about 18 minutes just to put in my order it turns out that they are closed even though I had been standing there for a good while. The cashier lady was nice and was going to take my order until the chef said: "oh no we are closed" although he clearly saw me and my son standing there long before they close the door.18 minutes we waited without a complaint.Thanks a lot I really had high expectations for this place but I guess being light-skinned Im now viewed as an enemy.By the way Google says you guys close at 3!

Small and quaint. If you like eating off paper plates and plastic ware not the place for you food was decent expected a lil bit more for the price and if multiple people order. U dont know who is gonna eat first and they bring your meal out in pieces

It was not my best meal or dining experience. Fish didnt taste good, fries were not cooked all the way, the server put lemon in our glasses with her bare fingers and she looked slovenly and kinda nasty. Not a great experience.

Wow! The food here is delicious and the prices are great! I was washing clothes up the street from this diner, was hungry and decided to stop by. They were closing in 15 minutes but the staff was still very polite and patient with us. When it’s close to closing at most places they are rude and rush you out, not here. I got my food to go and was so satisfied when I got to eat. The whiting was delicious 😋 I will definitely be back to try those salmon cakes. Outstanding service! 👌🏾

I was in the area and wanted to eat at a diner so I came here. I read the reviews and knew i would be satisfied. The staff is very friendly, with smiling faces. The food is made to order, cant go wrong. The bacon is cooked to perfection and wide. (Not the narrow bacon). The prices are very great, and more food than I can eat.The bathroom is very clean. The atmosphere is wonderful. I will be coming back, thank you for such a great meal.

Came in for lunch ordered fish cause only had an hr lunch figured it wouldnt take that long. 40 mins later my fish comes after it was sitting on the grill for 10 mins already done. They double dipped the drys to get them back warm but that just made them hard as hell to eat like chips. Order eggs with cheese eggs came without cheese and clearly was written on the ticket. Toast arrives after 3/4 of my food was consumed. I recommend more organization also get another deep frying cause cooking fish fries salmon cakes and wings all in the same grease doesnt take good . First and last time at this place.

Food was good but if you order chicken and waffles, order chicken tenders because all the chicken wings my friend and I ordered were broken...we had to spit out a lot of small broken bones. The womens bathroom toilet was out of order and smelled like sewer.

The service is just that..service. for such a smaller place you think it would be faster. Overall the food is good, but I dont recommend the burgers. McDonalds makes a better more flavorful burger then this place. Probably better quality as well. If you want a really good burger try hops or red robins!

Was my first time there and I cleaned my plate of chicken and waffle and my husband Philly Cheese steak sandwich was delicious as well. Its a nice small restaurant thats has great food and a great owner!!!!!

The food was great and the owner was very personable. The tea was bangin! I drank up the to-go cup before leaving. Who knew texas toast made a burger taste even better! Will definitely come back again!

Me and my mother are here a few days ago. We shared pancakes with scrambled eggs and breakfast potatoes. The food was just horrible. The eggs were really over done, and the pancakes were really nasty too. Overall, very unsatisfied. My mother really did not like her coffee either. Also, the place is a real dive. The walls are in very bad shape, and they serve you your food in some sort of plastic throw away containers, along with plastic ware. The only good thing I can say about the place is that that staff were friendly. They really need to find a decent cook though. The food was honestly really horrible. I am stunned that this place has received so many good reviews. Sorry.

The food was great! The salmon patties taste just like my dads. Every time I go there, I feel like Im in a family members kitchen. The staff and owners of this establishment treat you like family. I love this place!

So good! The wings were hot and crispy and the waffle was perfectly cooked and solid. Not pictured: a fully loaded burger on Texas toast. Grilled the onions for me. It was dripping goodness. We will be back.

This place is awesome. I come here quite a bit with family or friends. I cant think of a time that I was ever disappointed. The food is great, well at least what I get is and everybody that Im with agrees. The waiters and waitresses are good. The bartenders are great.
