Royal gallery of art housed in the elegant Sultan Suleiman Building, which was built in 1909.
Nice view
I was the student from Pin Hwa where is a high school near by this museum. I am wonder why my teacher didnt suggest or bring us to visit this amazing museum. This museum really show how impressive about this unique and historical town, Klang. Besides, I think here also will be a good place to take your other state/country friend to have a watch of our beautiful Selangor. Otherwise, SPM student also can come to visit here lah instead of read that horrible boring SEJARAH text book.
Nice place , free entrance , free parkingCosy n knowledgeable
Surprisingly good place to visit. Lots of things to see. History of Sultan, their collection, their gifts. No photo shooting, no entrance fee.
Kids should visit this place. The history and the collections are great. Thank you Royal Gallery Management. Hats off.
Everythings fine here except for the staffs are very rude lack of guests services, stated visiting hours is 10am to 5pm but on 1pm chase me out the reason its their lunch hour.
Nice place to visit for free. The building is a classic British style built in 1909 but having a Chinese style court yard. There is even a pair of lion to go with it.
Truly a remarkable building to showcase the legacy of the Royal Highness. The artefacts were displayed in an organised manner. The staffs were very helpful and pleasant.
Good place to visit. Lots of collection.
A very nice place to visit if you want to learn about selangor royal family. The gallery is well maintained, and the exhibition items are good too. They really preserved and handled all precious items with extra care, no photography allowed inside, no touching for the materials without covers. This gallery is a treasure for klang, and selangor people. This is the place of their root history.
Also known as "White House", local gave it that nickname because of its striking white symmetrical shape with tall columns, colonnaded verandah and balconies. The building is set back from the street and faces an open landscape garden, which lends it a grand setting- The Edge, city and country Sept 2021 - Jane Rai (tour guide)
Recently I have visited the place- that location is very good- I couldnt go inside because its temporary off ☹
interesting historical info. Really good for Malaysian history students.Displays are also relevant and well presented

Extensive exhibitions on the royal families of Selangor. Free to enter.
Nice Royal Gallery or museum. Very informative, educational, can learn some Selangor history, the sultanate history. Quite a lot of things to see. Not too big. Most important, very well maintain. They have guide too. Good for family. Entrance is free, and you can park inside, but limited. Best go for the Royal Klang town heritage walk too.
A must visit place which showcases the rich history of the Sultanate of Selangor. Very professional guides who take you on a walkabout of the heritage buildings in Klang. Thouroughly enjoyable but be prepared for a bit of a walk but slow with many stops.
Good for historical learning of Malaysia
unique & educational state monarch historical valued
A beautiful heritage building that houses a superb collection of artifacts related to the Selangor Royal family.
A small little museum in the heart of town. Free admission for everyone and there is ample parking within the museum compound. The gallery is well maintained and definitely worth a visit for history lovers..!! 👍👍 (Note: You are not allowed to take photos inside)
Where you can see Selangors Royal collection.
Lobster and fish are not really tasty and nice.
Collection of the late Sultan of Selangor, from his birth to Regent, Sultan to the Yang Dipertuan Agong. Learn also the brief history of the Selangor sultanate...
Free, well-maintained and air-conditioned museum with 4 gallery halls just 3 minutes walk from Klang KTM station. Worth visiting if you have some time.
1. near ktm station (klang station2. free entry 3. air con NO camera allow inside though
Its nice to have alone time and take times having a tour in the gallery. A little bit scary to go alone at upstairs. Went there with my family more than once, splendid. But there are some unfriendly staff and also nice staff to attend you if you need an assistant. Shes pretty too. Some of the items are just same, I wish theres updated collection. Caption is a little small to read.
Good stuff on museum really interesting items
Very nice museum, greatly preserved
It’s was a awesome experience ever in Malaysia, we join this historical tour for first time we had a lot of joy in this 2.5hrs guided tour, our guide of this tour is Raja Shaharil Nasir he is extremely good and energetic in there field, our time was fly in couple of pinches with him.
If one is in Klang, this is a must visit place. The royal gallery holds the historical records and exhibits of the royal family in Selangor. There are 2 storeys, start from the lower floor where the exhibits detail how the royal family came to the location and the timeline of ancestry. There are many historical items on display. One could spend over 1 hour here to read all the information on the exhibits. A good suggestion is to join in the free guided walking tour every Saturday and Sunday morning at 9am which starts from this gallery. Both the gallery and the walking tour is highly recommended if in Klang.#letsguide
Beautiful colonial style architecture, but I didnt go in to visit the exhibition
Past and current history for Selangor state Sultanate Legacy. Very interesting and informative. Recommended to all especially those stayed in selangor state.

Klang royal family museum with some historical display items from Royal family.
The dignified Bangunan Sultan Suleiman was built in 1910 for the Klang district office. It housed the Land Office, the Town Board & the Public Works Department (PWD). from 1973 to 1985, it was the police contingent building. The Klang Town Council undertook substantial conservation of the building in 1987. Its last tenant, the Legal Department, moved out & the State Museum took it over for use as Galeri Diraja Sultan Abdul Aziz. Designed strictly in the Western classical style by A.B. Hubback, it has a symmetrical plan. The north & south wings are connected by a west wing forming an extended U. On 3 sides, colonnaded verandahs provide shaded setbacks to the office within. The façades are harmoniously composed with the centre portico balanced by 2 identical end porticoes. Twin columns of the Tuscan Order on low plinths distinguish the public façades with groups of 3 strengthening the corners visually. Balcony balusters are typical vase-shaped designs. Further shading is provided by wooden louvres on the verandahs. The building is set back from Jalan Setesen & faces an open landscaped garden which gives it a suitably grand setting. Many colonial administrative buildings of the early decades of the 20th century were built in this style. The Malay College in Kuala Kangsar is also very similar: it too, was Hubbacks work.
Check in for Klang Heritage Merdeka Walk 2018.
When I came, the museum was closed. It is on a Hari Raya holiday. I cant say much about the museum inside, but the exterior has grandeur.
Nice place to know more about Royal Gallery
I had visited this several times gallery in the past. It is in a convenient location being only a 5-minute walk from the Klang KTM Station and a few well-known restaurants near it - Chong Kok Kopitiam, Yap Kee Banana leaf rice, Seng Huat Bak Kut Teh and Teck Teh Bak Kut Teh.There are many exhibits in the gallery. It is big and well-maintained with pleasant air-conditioning. Admission is free. Sadly, there were few visitors each time I was there.Last Saturday’s visit (21 April 2018was part of the Klang Heritage Walk (free). It was different this time with a good guide explaining the exhibits in the gallery especially the genealogy tree of the Sultan.
A Royal gallery on the family tree and brief history of Selangor Sultanate and the much decorated, the late Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah.Note : No photo taking is allowed inside the building / gallery
Learn the history of klang and Selangor Sultanate. The building was built by the British in 1909 and used to be the district land office.
