Food itself is good, not cheap but good quality.The problem is the service. The waiter doubled the portions ordered and he was all the time trying to add foodVery unfair person! We didn t say anything because we wanted to avoid waste of food but other people may have sent food backDon t trust them

Terrific!We have recently moved to the area and look forward to many more lunches at Sueste. The service was top notch and very professional but with fun!We enjoyed an excellent piece of Golden Bream cooked to perfection accompanied by marvellous local potatoes and fresh salad.We also enjoyed a local white wine from Quinta Dos Vares which was excellent!The location on the harbour is just amazing.

good fish, fresh, first shown and then grilled at the moment. The only negative is the very poor presentation, 2 poor boiled potatoes. price well above the average of other restaurants

Overpriced restuarant. For two fishes we paid 250 euros. The grilled red snapper was nicer than the fried turbot. I didnt like the algavrian salad, the tomatoes were not ripe. Coffee not good.

It was terrible experience. We called several times and no one answered. When we arrive at the place the man said he hasn’t tables. I asked if the phone is not working. He said the phone is to far to answer. He was not polite at all. The location is great but people and uneducated. What a waste!

A great spot overlooking the harbour and so accommodating. Offered to make a plant-based plate which wasnt on the menu (two of the four of us plant-basedand with no fuss or trouble. Everyone really enjoyed their meal. Recommended

This is the best seafood restaurant in Ferragudo. Sueste - memorize it. This will make your day (your dinnerand the sunset makes it magical. My meal was cooked on the grill by Renato and Joao made the trip for us because they showed us how they prep the fish with a lifetime of stories. Enjoy this place and your meal because it could be - as it was for me - the best meal I’ve had in Portugal so far!

Good quality fish. Quite expensive. The service was good on this visit at the beginning of May but it wasnt very busy. I wouldnt go in July and August, too busy and the service suffers.

Our linguado was grilled to perfection. Knowledgeable wait staff saved us from over- ordering sides. Noce view of Arade river.

Great Dinner with an amazing sunset and great food

OMG. Possibly one of the best meals of my life - and I wasn’t even hungry!! This is Portuguese food at it finest for its freshness and simplicity. You literally pick your fish from the display of fish on ice and they grill it on the charcoal grills outside — right next to the nets where it was caught. I also had the fish soup that I can’t stop thinking about and even the olive oil that my squid was cooked in was absolutely to die for. If you find yourself anywhere near Portimão or Ferragudo, you must make a reservation and go there!

Food : Very tasty. Many options of fresh grilled fish from the day. Sides are pretty basic (fries, potatoes, green salad or vegetablesbut work okay. Waiters help to remove the fishbones.Service : We reserved a table there for 9:30PM. Upon arrival we had to wait for about 30 minutes with waiters and restaurant manager ignoring us and refusing to acknowledge our presence, even though many tables were empty. We asked the status of our reservation several times without getting a response : « ask my colleague » being the common answer. When we finally get seated (10:10PM, which is 40 min after our reservation time), we had to wait another 15 min before we can place our order (again, restaurant was not that busy so no reason for such delays).Unfortunately service was a little disappointing thus a 3-star rating. Which is unfortunate since this is such a nice spot by the water with great potential and tasty food.

Fish was very good - grilled infront of you - classy restaurant and great service. Only issue was they did not clean the shell fish … Apart fm that was very good!!

Utterly delicious food - as fresh as can be - we feasted on clams, squid, tiger prawns and sea bass - it was exquisite. Lovely recommended bottle of rose as well. A perfect end to our week in Portugal!

Very good fish! The bbq man make feat with fish.Side dish are also delicious. The environnement is beautiful, we spent a wonderful moment!

Rude - the service is terrible. We kept being looked at without anyone coming to help us. We’ve then been asked to wait for 10 minutes while two tables were free. We then asked were vegetarian options and they just said “NO”. Just didn’t feel welcome there at all.

We have been there for lunch today for the first time.I must say: Good service, great fresh fish BBQ in front of restaurant. We left happy and can recommend it for lunch.

Best fish and service in a great location enjoy great food while watching the boats go by in and out of the port.

Wow, amazing well done fish on the grill was only surpassed by the service. Yes, you pay by weight and are getting a whole fish, so this is not a place for a quick dinner on a tight budget. But at least when you pay here you are getting very nice food and service. Standard local starter on table but the sardine pate was tastier than some others around town.

The best and fresh fish you can get. It‘s not the cheapest place but strongly recommended for fish/seafood lovers

Very good fish, picked fresh right in front of your eyes! Also the guys in front of the restaurant grilling the fish are a nice and unique touch. It is a bit pricy, but hey! Quality comes with a price

I have given a three star only for the fish we had as for the service we received it was terrible and very rude. When getting off water taxi keep walking and head into the town or to beach, where you will be treated better.

The fish here.. amazingly fresh. Grilled outside of restaurant, served with any sauce that alter the flavor.I also tried the cake with almonds, carob and figs, never had before, I can’t say I love it, but it definitely has a curious taste.

Stopped her for lunch with my wife a couple of weeks ago, fish freshly grilled outside on the BBQ, superb all washed down with a bottle of Vino Verde:-)

Went with our friends from Scotland if you like fish this is the place to get it, grilled fresh at dockside. Sea Bass, deboned at tableside by Maria, she was excellent.

The Best seafood that I ate on our holiday to the Algarve, tasty house white wine, attentive to my 1 year old daughters needs, fast service and fascinating vaulted stone ceilings indoors that grab your attention. Most Highly recommended. Sept 2018

Very good but be careful with what you pay for the fish. House red wine was very nice.

Arrived for reservation for 5. Maître d’ Questioned our reservation without a greeting at that. Once confirmed we were seated. Pedro our waiter was very helpful with with menu and personable. Fish is caught daily and they bring fish to your table for approval. We ordered red snapper, at €90 a kilo. For that amount one would expect it served in gold. Not a chance. Fish is grilled that’s it. No spice no flavor. Potatoes are included and were tasty. We opted for traditional Portuguese salad, tomatoes, cucumber, green bell peppers and olive oil. This salad is a traditional salad and very refreshing with olive oil, vinegar and herbs. Unfortunatly this salad was bland and lacked the herbs.With a €28 bottle of sparkling wine our tab was €173. One of our children opted for the soup and the other beef steak. Both seemed to enjoy their meal.This restaurant reminds me of the touristy places one never eats in their home town. Pricey menu and mediocre food. Aside from the great service Pedro provided our meal meal was tasteless. Lesson learned.

One of my favorite restaurant in Portugal! Very fresh seafood, I had the peixe dourado with potatoes and amêijoas- the food was just too delicious! What a great taste of fresh Portuguese food. The place was def pricely but amazing

Authentic Portuguese fare cooked on a barbeque after being picked out, amazing. The garlic prawns were beautiful and worth returning for alone. If you are in a position to get to the restaurant by sea please take the opportunity up. A revelation.

Great food, fish is very fresh and cooked on a Barbecue on the quay. Great view across the river and if the weathers right there would be a great sunset. Friendly and efficient staff, who speak good English.

The restaurant is at a great location on the harbour side and has a grilling station right by the water. Theres a good selection of fresh fish for grilling.We felt that the location has made them a bit complacent. The service was OK but not as friendly or attentive as other places in Ferragudo and the other food was, frankly, poor. The fish soup was watery and had lots of very overcooked macaroni noodles in it, my wife left most of it. The Sueste Prawns with Brandy turned out to have been cooked with lots of garlic so that I couldnt taste any brandy - I quite enjoyed it but it wasnt what I was expecting from the menu.Other guests seemed to be really enjoying the grilled fish. I think it would be a great place for a romantic evening providing you both want grilled fish.

Without a doubt one of the best seafood restaurants in the AlgarveAll fish is cooked outdoors on charcoal grills in the traditional Portuguese way .... simple and superb.Expect to pay 40-50 per head plus wine.

Nice restaurant. The fish were a bit expensive so we took the Sardines (~10€which were cheaper. It was very tasty and fresh.
