$25 entry fee which is pretty steep when the DJ cant keep a beat going for more than a couple of minutes without stopping the flowAlso drinks were mixed fairly weak imo

Underground, dark, spotlighted, multi room vibe. Great mixed clientele both queer and non-queer and vibed really well together.

Awesome place and lights the music band was great, and the bar staff were so friendly, the toilets were not clean though but it had seating arrangements in the club quite spacious and allows limited people to enter, it was a great experience for me indeed as I love clubbing alot and I have managed to visit few good clubs this is one of my most favorites in the list to go again to... The ticket price are cheap and affordable and gives amazing night life experience in Melbourne city close to the tram station and bus station also its underground so gives a really amazing vibe out thereMust try and experience it onceI do recommend this club to anyone who is new to Australia to meet amazing people around the globe and dance care free with them and making new friends with same vibes

Music was alright, bouncers just kept interfering a lot. Did not like the way they treat the people inside. Please change the security employees.

Wow, this club still exists! From what I saw its still the same but I cant remember if the names the same.In 2001 my mate and I moved to Melbourne with nothing but shirts on our back. The first week here I insisted we go out every night to meet people, find techno, and live bands. On the fifth night we were shown this club and I was so happy, a perfect cosy weekend home. This place was kept a secret and only good vibes were allowed.

465 and 466 were the most helpful security guards. Handled everything very well. I’m super impressed

Disappointing that the homophobia actively displayed by security staff is not being treated seriously. I now see from other reviews that this applies to racism as well. Ive worked in places with thugs as security and this is the responsibility of the venue. Sort it out.

Its a great venue but I mostly wanted to write a review to say thanks to the guy running the cloak room last night, he did a fantastic job. The bouncer did use the last photo on my film camera to take a selfie as a joke though lmao.

Sick spot for your heavy techno needs. loved the vibe of the place; dark, grungy and Berlin-esque.

Could have hire better bouncer. So rude and racist, checked our ID and then told us is full. The next second he let one white guy in. Is fckin 20th century we are still dealing with discrimination against races. Incident happened on 13th around 2ish, fyi it wasn’t the Caucasian bouncer.

Sub Club is my new favourite place to go. Super awesome location, amazing music and the best club atmosphere. Perfect for those who love underground techno music and a super relaxed environment.

Do your research and understand it’s going to be loud, deep, intense and expressive.What also sets it apart is the non judge mental, full inclusive and ability to express yourself vibe.Both from the crowd and the team working there. Nice vibe and people were pretty good but the music was pretty bad and pretty undancable and they only took cash once u were inside for entry so make sure to bring at least 30$ for entry

I love this place. Great staff and security. By far my favorite place to party in Melbourne. And the crowd this place attracts are just my kinda people. Going here is always an amazing time. The music is deep and heavy.

Good sound system, fair drink prices, nice staff, and has a nice chill room to hang in if you need a break.

This club is one of the best spaces in Melbourne for gritty basement / big bass vibe!! Don’t expect bottle service here. Instead a inclusive and safe space with incredible week to week music policy.

Cool venue. Deep bass. Lots of art in the alley entrance. Kinda slow when u went but I’m sure it gets crackin. Lots of fog, main screen, & laser light ambience.

Was a pretty cool place. Not my type of venue but I can tell it caters to other peoples needs of music. Drinks were reasonably priced and the wait staff were attentive and cleaners tried their best. Security is debatable as theyre super lax which Im cool with as they allowed my friend in but makes me wonder what kind of other people would manage to slide through also.

They lost my really expensive fur coat at check in and did nothing to help recover my lost item. Very disappointed

Great place for drum and base fans. Good atmosphere, tasty beer and laid back environment with cool DJs playing all kind of electronic music. Good location. Well recommended.
