All in all is a nice place, a lil bit dirty, seaweed in the water and they were stinky, this could have been taking care of, but nice and big beach. Do not expect sunbeds or umbrellas, you can bring your own. There are some trees for shadow.Food and drinks you can find in there.Very important, use Waze to get there!!! Google maps is taking you to some forrest roads wich are closed, we spend 30 min searching for the place with google maps and in the end we installed Waze and took us to the right spot.

When its hot this is the place to be.. make sure you get your day ticket from the internet... saves time..

Very nice and clean beach. 6 euros entrance per person.Clean wc and warm shower and changing room. Several beach volleyball grounds, 2 table tennis and there is a bar restaurant also.

There are no directions to get there.Used google maps and both roads were either blocked or vehicles were not allowed to go through.

Great place spend a relaxing day

Great place for sunny day. You have to walk almost 3 KMs tl reach this place.

You need to pay for entrance in advance, google "Waldsee payment" and continue from there. The lake itself is really nice, clean, and fun. Had a great time there and would highly recommend.

Nice Family beach with a boat as a childrens playground, volleyball courts, clean. Descent weekend escape from Frankfurt during the summer :)

too long rows and lack of content. in order to get french fries juice or anything you have to stand in a long line for at least 1 hour. crowds at the entrance also long rows. otherwise the place is nice with a semi-sandy beach. nothing more than 3 stars

Nice facilities at this large gravel pit..cordened off swimming area loads of parking BUT it fills up quickly in summer avoid weekends..

Awesome place. Nice warm water, sandy beach. You can also find a fast food restorant as well as showers and so on. Everything you need :)

I come all the way from California just to camp here (Sort of). It’s the best place in the area for a family looking for a place to stay for a while. My little brother made a bunch of friends who also camp here every year for the summer. I’ve both camped and stayed in a camping trailer. My personal favorite is the trailer as it is away from all of the noisy people who stay up late partying.

Very good open water training area close to Frankfurt. The place to go for Ironman Frankfurt participants.And very much suitable for families as well.But very crowded while theres good weather

Great lake, but little space for parking and a super long line to enter the parking space on good days. Remote to reach by public transport.

IronMan starting place!!

I was there today the 7th of July 2017 with my wife and my 22 mos. old son, theyre organizing the ironman game, parking fee is 3€ and entrance fee is 4€/head, it was the worst day of my life going there, first we gotta park more than 1000meter before the entrance, and walk with all the beach stuffs, while theyre letting all other "VIP Cars" to go directly to the shore and they dont care if you got a lil kid with you, you gotta park to the other end!Now, the river beach, as Ive seen on the map, the water is stagnant, and actually I love goose and theyre everywhere, the water is full of algae, which is pretty disappointing, besides that, to where we parked our car is some kind of a Sand and gravel Firm to which I guess, all the waste products/chemicals that they used go directly to the waters.If you got a lil child with you, dont ever, ever go there with them, if youre thinking like I did, thought I could swimm with natural clean waters but, it was so disgusting, waste of overcharged parking fee and waste of time driving in the middle of nowhere.The time I drove back home, me and my wife had this itching on both feet, we immediately rinse at home, hope my lil one is fine.Beware.
