Stockyard Burger Joint in Gothenburg

Not necessarily a bad burger, but I would expect a little more for the price. Please avoid the extreme spicy burger, the sauce is just insanely spicy but it lacks actual flavor. The service was really good tho.

We visited it Today (Monday), it was one of the best burgers I tested, nice place and food.

possibly the best valued burger in central Gothenburg. The smashed cheese burger was juicy and cooked perfectly, not heavily seasoned which is another plus becoz I got to taste everything in the burger. The Thursday lunch burger was abit dry compared to the smashed burger, but the sauce was amazing and it balanced the dryness out. Sweet potatoes were not to my liking, they are bit too soggy for my taste, but the fries are crunchy and soft in the inside👍👍.Big shout out to the cold glass they used to serve my beer, the beer stayed cold even when I finished my meal 🥰🥰🥰Very friendly staff and nice environment,Highly recommend!!!!!!

Great burgers, the food was made quick and sides of french fries also tasted great. The service was also good and quick. The reason it only gets 4 stars is due to a lack of ambiance, the inside seating was very limited and felt somewhat cramped and the outside seating where I ate was limited to only two tables and was right on a street with several trucks. So if there was more place or I would have eaten the burger somewhere else I would probably give it a higher rating.

Not the best burger place for sure.... Bread felt like McDonalds and soggy, sweet potato fries were not good either. Their beer selection was only, Heineken. Meat was way too peppery.... Disappointed. Price vs quality was not good....Milkshake had bug!

Their fiery burger of death is based on highly refined capsaicin which only adds heat without changing flavor. Nice staff and good food.

Unfortunately extremely dry and flavorless burgers. Waiting time was extremely long without any explanation from the staff. If you like good burgers I would strongly recommend to visit Diné or Tugg burger joints in Gothenburg.The reputation stockyard burger joint has is outdated and no longer lives up to the standards they promise.

Amazing burgers. Had this extremely-hot, nose-running, eye-watering, delicious-tasting chicken burger called "Black Bun", is an absolute delight. Loved it. Ambiance is awesome.

Actual American here and I was craving a burger yesterday and this totally hit the spot! the Onions rings were some of the best Ive had, fries perfectly crisp and the burger deliciously juicy. I didnt try the milkshakes this time but I am excited to when we go back. It is a pretty small place, but they dont take pre-bookings so unlike the other super popular burger place in Gothenburg we got a table right away on a Saturday night. Sorry I was too hungry to take any pictures! Will definitely go back

I had the vegan chick pea burger, it was delicious 👌🏻, and the staff was nice, the restaurant is very cosy, but it was a “little bit too pricey”

The burgers are rather good at this place and the sweet potato fries come with Västerbottensost which is always a plus! The selection of beers on tap is sadly limited to two beers but the IPA goes great with all their burgers!

My most favorite burger restaurant in Gothenburg. Good location but a small ambience. I am a vegetarian so some restaurants its difficult to find good burgers. Here my absolute favorite is chickpea burger. The chilli cheese sides are a must try. I have been to this restaurant many times just for the chickpea burger and chilli cheese. Definitely recommended

Small place but not a crowded feeling, nice atmosphere and very good burgers. Fries were kinda boring, but I guess the burger is what matters most.Can definitely recommend!

Best burger I’ve had in Gothenburg 🍔

Quite good, nice ambience nice patty made of freshly grounded meat, slightly more expensive than the other similar burger places and the bread was not fresh. The waiter was very service minded and energetic.

After trying different burger restaurants in Gothenburg that claims to be the best..... my vote goes for Stockyard Burger Joint. Great food, unique taste and kind service. By far the best one in town and perhaps in countrywide.Update August 30: tasty burgers; disrespectful service. Male staff must be respectful when speaking to a woman.

Really small burger joint just off the avenue in the center of Gothenburg serving up delicious burgers.Baconfries with chili and melted cheddar was an excellent side to go with the bacon and cheese burger. Options available to add extra beef patties.

Honestly I thought it was a bit too expensive for the experience. The bacon burger was good but nothing to write home about. The bacon fries were cool, but the fries themselves felt cheap

This is one of the best place for burger in the city center. Nicely located and has a different American style design. Burgers are really great and they know what they’re doing. If you plan to go in the weekend you better book beforehand since there is not much of space. I don’t recommend sitting outside because of the weird smell of the street there and also you are very close to the street and cars and also the pedestrians.

Hidden gem near Avenyn.They have the best fried chicken burger in Göteborg I would say.Have tried burgers before in Tugg, Burgesson, Holy Cow etc but this is the best so far.Spicy, juicy and cheesy, ooooh I wanna have one again now.Tried pretzel umami as well, bread was very good and burger didn’t feel heavy.

Absolutely smashing! Amazing burgers that makes your mouth crave for more, the fries that goes along are crispy and juicy, while still having that nice texture. Few seats making it sometimes crowded but have been solved. Sadly there arent a lot of outdoor seating which is desirable as of right now. For the price that you pay, this is an amazing experience that youll need to try if you ever find yourself in Gothenburg!

I give 5 stars just for the Awesome Waitress - a blond girl with a tattoo on the upper arm and the neck. She is an example to all waiters in Sweden! She is THE Only waiter at that place managing everything! Welcoming you, making sure you get a table, bringing you a menu and your drink. Taking orders, serving, taking payments from leaving customers, cleaning tables and checking the bathroom from time to time while asking if your burger is good, bringing you cutlery, ketchup and napkins. And all that with a smile with a fast switch between Swedish and English. The last "bye-bye, have a nice evening!" Just nailed the visit to that place. Seriously, come and check how good waiters should perform!

Nice place with delicious burgers! Especially sweet potato fries were amazing 🤤🍟. We visited this restaurant on saturday evening and it was almost full so I would recommend a table reservation.

Came across this place by mistake, getting lost trying to find the bus stop! Glad we did as its absolutely lovely. The atmosphere is cozy, the staff were really welcoming and kind. The food was excellent. Lovely juicy cheese burger, cooked medium with crispy sweet potato and parmesan fries. Also chicken bites tasted delicious and came with a dip- we chose chipotle which wasnt too hot. The onion rings were also nice but we could only manage one each as we were too full by this point! For a city centre restaurant and the quality of food recieved I thought the price was fair.

I had a nice burger here once. Recently, I tried the restaurant for the second time with an extremely hot burger. They warned me that it could be too hot. But I thought I should try it myself. They helped me survive with 2 glasses of milk and water but one hour later at home I couldnt stand the stomach pain. I am not going to explain more bottom line: I recommend other burgers in their menu but not the extreme hot one. By the way, they have very nice salad as side dish only 45sek.

Good and tasty burgers. I really liked the sizes, 180g, 360g and 540g meat.I had the Smoky BBQ burger, and although I would have liked a bit more smoke flavour the overall impression was good, but maybe not great.Of the side orders, I do recommend the sweet potato fries with a dip over the coleslaw, but that is personal opinion.The staff was very polite and helpful, and we were well served with their good ales.Overall a good place.

Exceptionally cozy and great restaurant.We stopped there just out of curiosity because we expected it to be full. It had room for two, so we sat down and ordered a meal.You have a few burgers to choose from and a few of them also have options for which size youd wanna get it. 180g, 360g and 520g. We chose the 180g and it was more than enough for us. And were not people who get stuffed full. For the side dish we picked mixed fries of normal and sweet ones. We got offered sauce but we refused it because we didnt really need it. We fully expected to only get one cup of fries but they brought us two, one for each. That was a nice surprise.As for the drinks, you only have milkshakes on the menu, for other classical drinks (beer, wine and non alcoholicyoull have to ask the waiter/waitress.The kitchen missed our order so after a bit of waiting the waitress came to apologise and offered to pay the drinks on the house which was a nice surprise. The waiting didnt really bother us that much and the food arrived very quickly after the apology.Food was delicious. The fries were perfect and yummy, the burgers as well. Meat was perfect and it was filled good with other dressings. Buns were very tasty and the right amount of soft. The bags in which it came in didnt leak oil through so the hands could stay dry if you know how to eat your hamburger.If you visit, you can expect great customer service and excellent food.Would recommend and would come again.

Pretty great burgers, but be prepared to pay a lot. I was a bit annoyed that sides were not included considering how much the burger already costs.
