Best toasties and great coffee

This was a lovely cafe for a quick stop. The food was excellent with a great variety of food. Will always stop thereOn future stops.

Had two large coffees there today , enjoyed them as usual but seamed very expensive , normally $10 today $ 10.40.

Other than the delay, was all good!Thanks

Unfortunately missed our docket which can happen in any busy cafe. After waiting half an hour for takeaway coffees, we then enquired where they were. The Barista seemed very put out rather than apologetic. Rather than a sorry, she said “i guess i will make it now then”. Just a apology would’ve meant we may have left a good review.

Had coffee and the most basic toastie. Delicious. Would definitely go back.

We heard of Stir often.. but had brunch there today with family.. incredible sweet as well as savoury crepes plus toasted sandwiches.. fries..and superb coffees.. it has be our ‘go to’ place now.. many many thanks…

We love this place. Toasted sandwiches to die for. The lovely ambiance, sitting and watching boats and people coming and going, relaxing with great coffee. Top place.

Struggled to finish my flatwhite, it was so subpar. There was a hint of coffee, mostly it was milk and water.

Long wait. Guy rude. Didn’t apologise for taking ages to even acknowledge us. Then was standoffish.when we put in our order. Strange way to treat customers. Should have taken that as a sign and left. Won’t be returning here!

Awesome toasted sandwiches, best I have had in ages.

Ordered an iced coffee along with my partner; don’t do this from here unless your happy to wait 15+ minutes. It wasent even that busy and customers who ordered well after us were being given their drinks before us; the women behind the machine got snappy at my partner when we asked why it was taking so long. Not cool. That’s a paying customer you’re talking to 😕Saving grace of this review is the kid behind the counter, who deserves a raise for his multitasking. The iced coffee itself was good too, once we finally got it.

Unfortunately despite recommendations I found it a bit grungy, dirty and the carrot cake was old and got food poisoning from the icing

We went twice over a weekend as we enjoyed the food and coffee.

A very cute little spot to sit and watch the harbour. Great coffee and really good muffins, friendly staff and toilets behind. What more could you want.

When you are so arrogant you cant listen to feedback that is very sad as it affects what would otherwise be great. We will now have to find a new go to cafe in Taupo.

We all got the banana and caramel crepes which are served with a very generous amount of cream and a great portion altogether. Caramel sauce tastes homemade too, and the coffee is perfect. This will be a regular when we come to Taupo along with Paulys Diner and The Brantry. Thank you ladies

Great environment, great service, great food! Had the tomato salsa Panini and it was amazing. First time diner and loved it. Would definitely recommend.

Attitude stank! 10 mins talking to the local and then declined debit card as works as credit card in NZ. Took bottle of water off girlfriend who needed to take medication

I just had a long black and my wife a green tea with a big biscuit. Our two friends had drinks and muffins. All were very good and we sat at a table in the sun and chatted. Not usual in a taupo winter! Most enjoyable. Next time I will save my appetite for a meat pie.Dave.

Very good cappuccino, good bean coffee, great service, good price as well.

Great spot down by the lake, litte out door spot for good weather only. Service was below average even for Nz. Missing all the small things like water, manners and presentaion of food eg plates. Coffe was average but $0.50 over priced.

Don’t waste your time. Was standing there while next to the kids. My sister went up for a coffee order and when she finished and came back I walked up to order and they put up their closed sign right in front of me even though they were making 2 coffees.Honestly the worst thing you could ever do. I will never come back and tell anyone who asks where a good coffee is to never go there.

Ordered a flatwhite - got a warm milky water with a bit of coffee taste, and they forgot to put a cinnamon. Disappointed

Amazing cafe with delicious Atomic coffee and small snacks. The paninis are both delicious and a great price.
