Stikhiynyy Plyazh - Public beach in Rybnoye, Russia
I stayed at this hotel in 1992 and arrived on a Saturday night. Nothing was open and I was starving. I really enjoyed just walking around and looking at the buildings. I worked in Russia for over a year. The people are so friendly and loving.
The hotel was fine. Too old furniture and even the system, we requested rooms with view and they didn’t offer it to us, not even partial view. Electricity went off from one of the rooms. Cleaning is not good at all, I don’t think they use a vacuum because there were bits everywhere. Breakfast was quite good and the location is good as well, customer service was good, people were very respectful. But I really hope to improve the hotel this is not the 5-star Kempinski I used to know.
I had a great stay there at the hotel..The staff are so friendly and we didn’t have difficulty in communicating with them as they are fluent in English..The location is close to the red square by 10 minutes of walk..Also, i lost my rings at the hotel but they kept them there for me, it’s because of their integrity..Thanks a lot!
Beautiful hotel, fantastic location, spectacular views. Comfortable rooms, red caviar and champagne for breakfast. Enjoyed also swimming area. Great place to be!
Excellent hotel! Might be the best in Moscow due to its perfect view over the Kremlin, its medieval atmosphere and its staff who is absolutely friendly and courteous. Can’t wait to come back.As I’m a huge fan of Russian culture and Literature, Balchug Kempinskiy DID really demonstrate to me the atmosphere of Chekhov or Tolstoy’s time. I felt myself like a nobleman served by the most friendly staff ever. The room is really spacious and the bed is incredibly comfortable, the view is amazing, the spa area is worth visiting (in case you have some hours to spare as you just don’t want to leave from there), breakfasts were so diverse and tasty that I couldn’t resist their croissants and freshly made coffee (which is rare in many hotels across the world). Of course I should thank the staff in particular, I couldn’t find any disadvantages with the housekeeping service as my room was cleaned daily and i could see that they did their job pretty well. The Front Office were really smiley people ready to help, I needed to book a play at the theatre, they agreed to help me, that blond girl at the reception desk is stuck deep in my heart (I guess her name is Maria), also I was given the room that followed all my requests. Definitely worth visiting!!!
Amazing view. We had booked a Kremlin facing room, and it was superb. The rest was pretty average. I had booked a special dinner for my wife and paid 3000 rubles for decoration - which was a joke. Rooms are standard 5 star quality, nothing special. English is not understood by most staff members, which is surprising. They gave us an early check in which was very much appreciated since we reached Moscow at 5 30 am.
This is really the place where you want to come back and come back. Everything is very airy, I want to soar, the atmosphere is incredible. View of the Kremlin, delicious breakfast in the room, what could be better ?! Thank you so much that you are, keep up the good work. I am sincerely yours:-)
Unbeatable location and a very nice, large deluxe room. Unfortunately a lot of other things need improvement. Cleaning staff needs to use vacuum cleaner more often. Breakfast area needs major refurbishment and space allocation: its very cramped, hectic and the many small tables cramped into one smallish room result in a very poor ambience. Good choice of dishes and some skilled cooking have no chance to blossom on the even smaller, cramped display area. The pool is too brightly lit and the water in winter could be 2 degrees warmer. Very helpful and competent check- in staff and concierge! However 12 Eur for a tea and 24 Eur for two cups of mulled wine is jyst plain ridiculous. And on top of this the cups were hot, but the wine was luke-warm....
This is a very nice hotel with a great location. However, if you plan to travel by metro, you have to walk about 10 minutes to the nearest station. The breakfast is great. The rooms are very nice and modern, but they are not sound proofed enough. You can hear noice from the hallway and the neighbouring rooms, so if you stay next to people that like to stay up late, you will hear them. Even with quiet neighbours, you hear the traffic at all hours from the busy road outside.
The bed and room is cozy. It’s indeed outdated but still clean and acceptable. Gym and spa facilities are good for a city hotel as well as is in-room dining. What is bothering me the most is the personal. They are unfriendly, not proactive and don’t make much of an effort to not show you that they actually would go home. The Door Attendant decides weather to open you the door based on the car you are arriving with. Cleaning personal is on its own not quite precise but listen to (Englishfeedback openly. In short: the facilities are worth a 5 star rating however the staff needs training.
