Without any hesitation !! Stereo is my favourite club and definitely the best one you will find in town. Outstanding sound system and beautiful layout to suit everyone’s vibe. No surprise stereo is amongst the best clubs in the world :)You will be greeted and welcomed by the most genuine staff I have ever seen. No need to explain why it makes our experience that much better. Front door, tickets, coat check crew! everyone is joyful and welcoming. Security is discrete, respectful and very professional assuring our safety through the the night. All I can say is thank you!!

I came to Montreal for the reputation of this club, claiming one of the best in Canada. First of all, I’m a big techno guy, I paid $50 for the club entrance and traveled from US all the way to Montreal just hoping to have a good or a decent experience of this techno experience. And, IT WAS terrible. The DJ probably just graduated from his home garage, and all night long it’s just single mono boring beats. Dude, I can play better even if I’m dead and blind, like seriously. Where do you even find these junk dj from? And just for the reference, it’s 4th of Nov, from 1 am to 3 am. The bar I went to for free play WAY better music than this place. In short, I’m extremely disappointed in this club and I don’t wanna have this experience way down on my expectations on house/techno music in this city. But overall, I do NOT recommend coming to this place.

Please, if you’re reading this, don’t ever come here, I wasted 70$ that I did not get refunded for! By the way, Stereo, please refund me my money! This place is horrible, and have rude workers. Chris, the body guard at the entrance is particularly rude and doesn’t realize he works for a club, doesn’t own one. I will certainly never come back and hoping to save people from coming to this disaster of a “night club”. I’m surprised they survived covid and even more surprised they survived anything after it. I wouldn’t wish coming here on my worst enemy.

It was a nice experience, people were cool, felt safe and free. I expected rude bouncers etc after reading some reviews here, but for me it was all good. And the toilets were ok! Amazing sound system and ventilation, looking forward to my next visit! No alcohol, just music.

Crazy night dancing until 5AM. First, my friends and I go around 10PM to the basement seems to have less people and mostly student. Surprisingly, bouncer is very nice and protecting our group until the basement section close around 2AM. Then we meet new friends that bring us to next building. This time we go up to upper level that has bigger room and variety of people and ages. Music is ok. Drinks at this dancing club are not that great and watery but as you expect we come here to dance so we dont really care. I dont know what time they close but we get out around 5 in the morning.

This afterhours is for people who appreciate quality music and sound who are open and accepting to all to come as they are for some community dance-therapy.Gay friendly and respectful of all.This is not a flashy place you come to be seen in - the darkness prevents that anyway.The heat is intense, the floor gets wet and grimey and youll probably get dirty so DRESS ACCORDINGLY.The bathrooms are wild and memorable. Youll be glad theres no toilet seats cause you wouldnt touch it anyway.*Sneakers are KEY here!*I have never felt unsafe or threatened in any way (in various stages off dress and sobrietyin well over 100 events during my early to mid 20s. Security is experienced, present and efficient when needed.Many of Montreals nightlife workers come here to party (bartenders, dancers, escorts, drag queens, etc)Bring sunglasses for the drive home!!

It was awesome experience at the club. The environment is so good that it makes you happy and joyful.

I havent gone there in about 4-5 years, but when I used to go regularly.....there was no place like it to go dance and be in an amazing vibe!!! There will never be another amazing vibe like I had when I used to go every weekend!

The person in charge of the clothes lost mine and instead of finding a solution he yelled at me, he was punching the tables he told me to shut up. He was clearly not sober and nobody did anything. I felt ashamed as a woman and I was afraid that he can beat me since he was really aggressive. Avoid this place.

Stereo is the place to go for underground/techno/electronic music. Best sound system in Canada if I’m not mistaken! Always feel safe and meet new friends. The lighting and dance floor is perfect and the chilling area behind is a plus for when you need a break from dancing for 8hours+.

lady at door told us cover was 40 each but we went in and it was 30$, she smirked as we had to use the atm machine for that extra $… . To add to it- the same lady kept looking at us funny all night- there’s signs that say no phones allowed and security does a thorough check, weird huh? It doesn’t say anything online- but we went in to a crowd of older 40/50 YO men dressed in bondage and leather caressing each other to techno beats. Nothing wrong with that but A little uncomfortable place for me to be as I’m younger femaleVenue itself wasn’t the worst- very spacious

Warning to everybody who s expexting a european/Berlin style techno experience: Stereo is not what u are looking for!No question Sound is amazing and the Club is clean.The crowd tho seems to prefer spending time on their phones (sometimes even taking fotosor looking for someone to hook up with. They are not showing any appreciation for the artist and her/his music.Thus the overall vibe was not there at all.*better bring at least 100dollar in Cash or it s gonna be a difficult night

Techno music , good speakers, extremely rude and racist bartenders and staff. Tourists stay away! Please! Entered the club after 11:30pm and left the club within 15 mins. Had high expectations but ruined our mood.

I was visiting from the states for a few days, and had over 20 people recommended Stereo to me when I asked for clubs to go to. So, I went this morning after a few bars .. By that time, it was four am.It’s a very comfortable environment & everyone is respectful (which is rare for nightclubsThe bouncers made sure my friends and I were safe and well before going into the club. When entering, there is security checking your belongings and doing pat downs. I’m not sure if a lot of nightclubs are like this in Montreal, but from checking the purses to the pat down, they asked if we were okay with each step and if we felt comfortable with being touched .. That is one of the reasons my review is 5 stars, as a lot of security/ bouncers in the clubs I’ve been to are harsh and don’t really care to ask these simple questions.Regarding the club itself, it is veryyyy spacious and I loved that I had my own space to dance and not be worried about being approached by people I didn’t know. The people in the club were very respectful, and I did notice that most people are in their mid 20s and up-Overall 10/10 experience.. I recommend you go at least once.

The street the venue was on reeked on rotten sewage and mold. I waited in line for at least 25 minutes which isn’t that bad but I was listening to music on my phone while I waited and it was barely audible, the host “woman” told me to turn it off cause it was annoying her yet she looked like a living skeleton with terrible plastic surgery and lip injections to the point I felt in danger entering the venue that would employ such a miserable disgusting being. Also the cover is $45 dollars which is unjustifiable.

I am writing this review to raise awareness of phone theft at your establishment with great sadness. Stereo has long been an established that I’ve looked forward to experiencing and I finally had the opportunity to do so yesterday with my boyfriend at the John Digweed Illesoniq after party. Little did we know, the well respected Stereo community failed us as my phone was stolen out of my zipped up purse at around 2:30-3am - a gift that my boyfriend got me less than two months ago. The loss and love I felt that night is hard to put into words - Stereo, if you see this, Id really appreciate a response.

Me and some friends went to the bar and the bartender asked if we were all together or separate and when we said separate the bartender was happy to say “no”, when I asked what he meant he said “that’s too much so no” and then continued to walk away?

Stereo is the best nightclub to dance the night away, by far. It has everything: impeccable sound-system, spacious dancefloor, crazy lighting, clean and private bathrooms, and a smoking alley that will make you feel like you are in an 80s movie! Additionally, the club has a strict no-recording policy. Which means that there arent random flashes going on during the night and it makes Stereo an extremely private dance-club compared to its competitors. This is a big plus, in my opinion; as it makes the club a lot more personalized and homey.The crowds are highly variable in terms of age and lifestyle, but that doesnt matter because everyone in attendance is only there to dance and enjoy the music; which is extremely liberating and welcoming.If you plan on coming to this club, it would be wise to plan ahead (i.e., buying tickets online and not at the dooras youll be guaranteed a spot in and once you are in, the night is yours.

Exceptional - Stereo is legendary for good reason.Everything (sound system, cleanliness, staff, absence of bottle serviceis geared to appeal to those who are looking to have a great evening. Has to be experienced though, not much else like it in Montreals (or Canadasdance scene.

The place is okay, like a 5/10Their website is not accurate regarding what time theyre open sometime its hard to know whats coming for the whole month because their website look like running by amateur who dont know too much about marketingThis place is the same old same old basically the menue is; Chus Ceballos + Danny Tenaglia + David Morales Victor Calderone & Atroxx and repeat , The lack of very talented DJs such as DR Rubinstein, Miss Monique or Amelie Lens (just a names of few....are completely ignored. We all know the Stereo is located in north America , a continent where this type of culture is more than rare, but still.Unfortunately the real deal are long gone in the Montreal area & im talking about the Sona on DeBleury street in downtown Montreal who has died in 2004 and the old RedLite on Notre-Dame-De-Fatima street in Laval Qc. In my book the RedLite has died when they moved at their new location who was a complete joke on De Lierre street in Laval Qc. Anyways the RedLite has died in 2013 ish if my memory is good because the city of Laval is not allowing any form of clubbing between 3am to 8am.

The 1st room they charge you 20$ for is super hot, no vents or AC its like and oven and you gotta wait forever to get a drink.

The bouncers were extremely rude, told us they would kick us out unless we stopped being on our phones. Customers are mostly adults in their 40s so it’s definitely not the place for a younger crowd. It was my second time over there and I really wasted my time…

RED FLAG. Very disappointed with their customer service. Had four tickets and two days before the session I had an accident. Contacted them for the cancellation of my tickets and after the Stereo rep said there was no problem, they never reimbursed or replied my messages.

Not a lot of reviews on this, but you need tickets which can be bought online. There’s a night club in the basement and a main event area for the late night after party. Overall great time, reasonably priced drinks, would definitely go back!

The staff/security was really on par. I just want to share how they acted professional at every step last night, while making sure we were safe and doing their job very well, all while not being too intense or aggressive as nightclub bouncers usually get.Amazing experience!

What a world class establishment. Staff were real troopers, and it was packed. One of the reasons why Montreal is such a magical and electric city. Cannot wait till the border opens up again. Who knows maybe I will meet my soulmate there.

Staff members are amazing! Very helpful and you can tell they are caring. Everyone needs to be very careful with their drinks, no matter how hard staff is trying to keep drugs out, people find a way to get them in and some of those people will try to drug you. So everyone have fun and be careful. And always be nice to the staff!

Great place to finish off your night dancing till wee hours in the morning.The sound system is incredible and the dance floor is great. Although I’m not so much into techno/deep house, the DJs were pretty sweet. Or I guess the sound system made up for it.Only giving it 4 stars because the guy:girl ratio was pretty terrible.

Great sound system, however ridculus rules such as no in & out after an hour of opening, no jacket inside the club even if youre cold, too much security checking as if its an airport etc. The music wasnt too bad, wasnt spectacular either. For a saturday night it was half empty and not much fun.

Wow, just wow. Words wouldnt do this club justice. The sound system is phenomenal. I have traveled throughout Europe and been to many clubs including some infamous Berlin ones (you know what I am talking aboutand this is up there if not even better. The atmosphere is fantastic its just one of love for both music and each other.Its an experience like no other. If you love music and dancing theres no better place to do that than Stereo. Bravo!

The sound system is unreal. Felt like it was playing from inside my head. Mature party crowd. Great DJs. Ive been to many of the top dance music staple clubs around the world and stereo is easily one of the best. Cant wait to go back

This is the best Afterhours club Ive ever been to. Such a rare commodity in North America and many that remain pale in comparison to Stereo in terms of quality and overall design. No other spot with a similar capacity has sound this good. Hats off to the staff and owners for keeping the club running well.

Stereo, one of the best sound systems in the world thats for sure! Clean bass is amazing... This place is located near the gay village so expect gay people, no place for discrimination here. People are amazing and respectful everyone is on their own vibe. This place is an after-hours rave so it starts at 2AM, but the best starts around 5AM, they do not serve alcohol because its an after-hours however there is StereoBar which is downstairs but there is fee after midnight(-_-).Recommended but, It would be nice if they play different style of music sometimes and if the bouncers would be less rude, and the bathrooms are dirty sometimes.

One of the best clubs in the world, continually attracting top name DJs. Amazing sound system and awesome atmospheric lighting. Crowd is generally pretty mixed straight/gay and usually very open and friendly. Everyone is there for a good time and to dance to some great music. This is an after-hours so (obviouslythere is no alcohol served and entry fee is usually pretty steep. Shows often sell out, so plan ahead.
