Very nice, clean park, playground good too. Toilets and cafe great plus, so glad found this place hidden away!
MoreLovely place for a walk. The coffeeshop has some decent coffee and snacks. The playground is very modern and looks safe. Great for a stop over with kids.
MoreGreat facilities for children, playground & coffee shop. Opportunity to feed the ducks on a walk around the lake . Be sure to have a €2 coin as you’ll need it to exit the car park.
MoreIt is a magnificent place, but on the downside no toilets open aftet 5pm and people still allowed in.
MoreBeautiful and peaceful setting, nice Playpark for the kids and a decent café.
Nice place for a walk
Stunning pond in Knockbridge. Could do with a few nice picnic benches though.
Lot of things for children to go on , but I dont know what it is about it , you would want a big coat on you in a summers day , cold place.
MoreWe were actually on the way to Blackrock in Co Louth, but never managed to get there because of the bike race. This is how we ended at the Stephenstown pond. The pond itself isnt very big, so an ideal walk, if youre not the greatest walker around. The path is easy to walk on and perfect for wheelchairs. Plenty of benches around for resting among amazing trees and listening to hundreds of birds. The minders take great care of the wildlife in that park. Near the carpark is also well placed a playground, a coffee shop and toilets. You can sit inside or outside the coffee shop. The people who run it are really nice, people were all relaxed and happy. It all was a very pleasant experience. But you have to pay admission to get in: 2 Euro.
MoreGreat place to take the kids, play park with seats to have a picnic 😀
Had my daughters 7th Birthday party here it was a great day the kids had a ball and the staff are fantastic! Definitely recommend 👌 (Emma Neary)
MoreNice and quiet place!!! Lovely short walk!
Beautiful as Always Thank You xxgreat place for all family x
Lovely pathed pond walk with info along the way about the wildlife. Short walk suitable for toddlers and a buggy. Play area is fantastic since theyve added to it. Coffee shop is great but opening times are not predictable.
MoreLovely place with great view. Kids love it. The problem in my opinion is that every time I go there is freezing cold. But thats not the ponds fault anyways.
MoreEnjoyable for couple of hours, for both adults and kids. With there been a nature reserve and a playground.
MoreI went there on Thursday. Its a beautiful place but the café was closed... And also the bathrooms...
MoreMyself and wife brought my daughter today, we fed the birds in the pond then ventured to the playground, my daughter is 4 shortly and she had a great time! Plus myself and my wife really enjoyed this little gem! Will be back for sure!
MoreBeautiful woodland area, quite small, probably only a 1km walk around, but it has a fab childrens park and cafe run by very friendly women. Its a pity its paid entry (€2as there are much bigger parks operating for free but its still a nice family experience.
MoreWent to see Santa here. Very good Santa kids enjoyed it and playing in the park. Nice walk around the pond, plenty of ducks and a few swans.
MoreTurn off the M 1 at exit 16 and your in for a treat with a walk around the pond from the now derelict Stephenstown House. Feed the ducks, swans and water hens. Then go for a light bite, bun, cake, tea or coffee in the coffee shop youll enjoy it and staff are lovely.
MoreBeautiful place for a nice walk, the pond and the playground are amazing for children and the staff at the café are always so friendly.Well worth a visit
MoreBeautiful scenic spot for families. The ducks on the pond enthralled the little ones and the playground area has ziplines and all sorts of things to keep the kids going. Lovely coffee shop with friendly staff.
MoreLoads of birds, very good place.
Great little playground for the kids, and lovely walk around the pond
Brilliant place to walk or bring children as playground is awesome
Good playground for children nice little walk around. Not a lot of choice in cafe so id bring a picnic if kids are picky make sure you have 2euro for barrier
MoreFab place to spend an afternoon relaxing
A lovely place to have a walk and have the kids play in the playground afterwards.. A very well kept park and nice and spacious.
MoreBeautiful and peaceful walking around the big pond. The Children loved looking at the birds. Playground was also entertaining for the children. Lovely afternoon there...
MoreAlways nice to come here. Now they updated the path around the pond with fences and all so its a really nice walk. In these Corona times the ducks and the seagulls were well well fed. 🙂 If you have small kids that enjoy the bird feeding, come early. Cafe is closed for some reason early October).
MoreKids play area, small pond. parking for nearly 50 cars.
Lovely lake BUT BEWARE the car park has an automatic barrier on the exit. Can be paid with coins only 2 eur, beware you can be trapped if you dont have those. After 5pm there is no assistance there to help!
MoreVery nice park for kids with a pond a little further. Kids can enjoy the park. Coffee shop is very nice, simple with affordable prices. They take cards. Great for warming up or getting some ice cream. Staff is absolutely lovely every time. Pond path is a bit damaged and parts have been isolated to avoid hazards but the walk is still very enjoyable and safe with supervision required. 2 euro car park charges. But the staff will give you a token if youre without change whether you had food or not. Overall a routine place to walk for our family.
MoreGreat spot.Nice walk around the pond.Good parking. €2Lovely new play area for the kids.Sand pit , swing and slides for all ages.
MoreLovely outdoorsy place to spend an afternoon with the kids. Very good playground which the kids will love, has a zip line too. Small lake with lots of ducks and swans and a nice walk around it. Café on site, didnt try it but looked very busy, comfortable seating available. Public toilets needed attention though, neither soap nor toilet paper available.
MoreGorgeous park! Great for a family day out. 🌻🦆☀️
Its a lovely place to take your kids there or on a nice date
Lovely pond with a walk around it on good paths that are buggy friendly, the pond is large and is a bird sanctuary, there is also a very well designed large playground for kids and a coffee dock. Great place to spend a sunny afternoon. Car park is large & safe, costs 2 euro on way out so make sure you have 2 euro in change before you get in your car.
MoreBeautiful walk around the lake, amazing playground for kids and a great cafe. Perfect quiet spot for families.
MoreGreat spot! Loads of ducks, swans and morhens thatll all come close to you. Theres a newly refurbished park their too thats great for kids of all ages
MoreLovely coffee shop, staff amazing, good toilet facilties. Playground suitable from toddlers to teenagers, lots of picnic tables. Place very well maintained. Spent 3 hours there with my 6 year old and she loved every minute of it.
MoreBiodiversity training at Stephenstown Pond was amazing. This is a beautiful area for wildlife. The Dairy Maid café there is a great place for lunch too.
MoreVery beautiful place. But dont forget to take cash with you. They not accept debit cards in a cafe.
MoreNice short walk around the pond. Bit of maintenance needed. Little coffee shop and looks like they are currently working on a new playground. €2 car park fee
MoreIts a lovely place to walk the dog.. relax and be close to nature! The coffee there is pretty good too! Beautiful
MoreExcellent service. This is a brilliant place for any age. A simple walk to clear your head or a play at the park. Plus ducks and swans to feed. Just outside the town of Dundalk.
MoreA beautiful place for a quite walk especially In the summer not very long but you can always walk around twice. Loads of wildlife Ducks, Moorhens(Coots), Swans and lots of the insects youd expect to see at a pond. Water boat men, pond skaters, Dragon flys, it has a small cafe for a bite to eat and plenty of picnic benches. The car park costs 2 euro on exit which is reasonable as it goes toward the upkeep of the walking paths. Its very easy to find just off the M1 motorway at the junction for dundalk South
MoreUsed to be an amazing place to go. The plants and trees are not looked after. Very few viewing points of the pond.Coffee shop is worth going to.
