Stem + Glory London in Ipaba
Description
Privilege
Very nice and friendly staff. Tasty and good quality vegan food.I will definitely come back
MoreWe had an amazing meal, a real explosion of flavours, even my non-vegan husband loved his meal. He said the pear and almond crumble was one of the best hed ever tasted.
MoreI had heard about this vegan place and wanted to give it a try.I tried Korean Taco fish, Kimchi pancakes and Katsu curry with black rice.Of three, I enjoyed tacos the most and found it quite flavourful. Kimchi pancakes was not for me.There were some nice options but almost everything had mushroom in it incuding burger patties so my friends decided not to have mains here.I found place cosy and decent, I would say presentation of food was really good and staff was very cordial. Its nice place for vegans with quite a lot of options.
MoreI had a long lunch break and came here on the strength of the reviews. I was not disappointed! The pumpkin ravioli in creamy mushroom sauce was delicious, generous in size. Waiters were all super friendly and helpful. Just ever so slightly taken aback by the bill (you scan on your phonewhich automatically adds service but then asks you for a tip as well and adds another pound or two to “be green” (not sure if you can remove this if you want?Still, overall a great experience, will be back (need to try some of the amazing sounding desserts!)
MoreLove at first sight food! Looks as good as it tastes ❤️
Ive been vegan for 10 years and this was without doubt the best vegan dining experience Ive had in all that time. I had the Fruits De Mer plate and every bite was amazing. My partner and sister in law had the fish tacos which they said were delicious. The service was wonderful-so relaxed and calm. We felt really welcome. They also checked about any allergies and its interesting to see the carbon footprint next to each dish on the menu. I dont usually say this about restaurants because there are so many to choose from nowadays but I want to return here as soon as possible to try other things on this menu! Thanks to the staff and chefs for a lovely experience and delicious food.
MoreDelicious and carefully thought-out vegan food. I recommend the buffalo cauliflower starter!! Super lovely staff too.
MoreThe food was fantastic and beautifully presented. Creative flavor combinations. Kind and friendly staff. Many gluten-free options. Our favourite was the King Oyster Mushroom “scallops”.
MoreNice vegan restaurant few steps away from St Paul Cathedral. The menu is wide and full of choices, which highlights the carbon footprint of each dish. The main portions are the best option if you want a quick lunch/dinner without getting too full and try some starters in a bigger version. Overall, from starters to dessert, I was happy to have tried this restaurant and I will definitely try again in the future. The only negative note was my glass of wine… I know that wine is served in a proper wine glass otherwise it will get warm quite quickly, but apparently they served in a water glass which left me a bit disappointed… On the other hand, it was a pleasure splitting the bill since they use an app to deliver and pay the table bill so no paper/ink is involved (smart and wonderful idea)
MoreA relaxed atmosphere, sensational food and friendly staff. I really like that they use an indicator by each meal option to show the Carbon Emissions CO2 per kg. Its something I havent seen done before! Certainly recommend visiting Stem & Glory.
MoreCool place, good people, sustainable goal, nice interior design! The bowl my friend got was good, Mediterranean bowl was not that great tbh. A bit too oily, made me feel heavy after and lack of carbs made me still feel hungry. Would recommend changing it.Note: the bill did not allow me to not pay carbon neutrality donation.
MoreMy Kimchi pancakes were to die for. Enjoyed my fish tacos, but the texture and taste were nothing like fish, and they fell apart quickly. My crême brulée was delicious as well. A must try for vegans!NB: I tried to leave feedback through the link I was sent via email. I spent 5 minutes giving lots of details and filling in all categories. Then it would not submit my answers, even though I tried wifi and 4G. So here is the reason I didnt give it 5 stars (apart from the fact that it is quite an expensive place):There was an issue with my bill. When I scanned the QR code, it showed as £1 only, even though all the items were there. I raised it with the team, who then issued a paper bill. I quickly looked at it then tapped my bank card... but then thought it was quite expensive so looked again and saw that an extra dish has been added, costing £14.95 extra. I was issued a refund for that one item, but it still has not come through on my bank account! Otherwise the food was delicious, I will be back. Perhaps closing the door would be a good idea on hot days, to save energy (as the air con was on inside)
MoreIndeed this is the best place for plant - based stir, vegan restaurant in London.Food is delicious and creative with a complimentary dessert served for VIP members.I wish I could give it 5 start but I have to be honest as ever experience matter on ratingFirst, I called to book a table as I couldnt find a link to book on google search and its wasnt a good exeprince , whos ever pick up the phone just hung the phone on me before even I finish my question.Second, it felt like there is no communication between the staff or they dont serve guests per table, as three different people served our food, ask the same question, try to take the order, its a bit disturbing as we cant even catch up with my date.
MoreAmazing creative and tasty vegan food, friendly and hospitable staff, delicious, generous portions, environmentally aware; we planted a tree to offset our Carbon for a nominal sum, and a meal is donated to the hungry. Outside tables in a lovely quiet square make for COVID-safe dining. Best meal out we have had for a long time!
MoreThe food was amazing!! We had 3 small plates and 1 main and it was the perfect portion size. A really good vegan restaurant. The only reason it has gotten 4 stars instead of 5 is because we originally wanted to sit outside but it was not an option on the night we visited. Otherwise, good service and awesome food.
MoreI want to preface in saying that I basically never review restaurants - but on this occasion, I have to.This place is flat-out incredible. Heres a quickfire list for why:- The staff are super prompt and hospitable- The menu has outstanding variety, and is unlike anything Ive seen elsewhere- The food, once served, is simply artwork- My starter and main meal was served to me piping hot, in less than 10 minutes- The food is literally mouthwatering, and the portion sizes are exceptionally generous- For this area of London, the pricing is very inexpensive- The decor and overall atmosphere is bright, lively and very high classIf you want classy & delicious food that doesnt leave your wallet crying, look no further and give this place a shot.
MoreI love this concept. 💚 You can eat all vegan and even know how your carbon footprint is going when ordering your food. The food and the people working here are real nice too.
MoreIm not a vegetarian but went with some friends who are. Ive been on places like this before and have come out hungry, fortunately with this place that was not the case. I particularly liked the. Oyster mushrooms which really have a nice texture to the food
MoreGreat little place for all things vegan! We had arancini balls, black rice with kimchi, fish tacos and ravioli. Delicious food!
MoreAlways great to feel like you are eating healthy nourishing food. Tonnes of flavour in the bang bang broccoli. Though I did find the dish incredibly salty (and I am a salt loverso passed the feedback on. Love being able to independently settle up with Sunday 👌
MoreThe Good, the Bad and the Ugly. We’d heard good things about Stem and Ginger (S&Gand eventually got around to visiting for an early pre-theatre meal. The Good - The food took an appropriate amount of time to be delivered as it was cooked fresh. We took three small plates and a carafe of water …The ‘Korean ‘Fish’ Taco’ consisted of 2 blue corn tacos layered with crispy king oyster mushroom - the ‘fish’, shredded pickled carrots and red cabbage, red fox carlin beans, lime and ginger kohlrabi with a wasabi mayo and a side of chopped red chillis. We were warned the chillis we’re really spicy but they weren’t and complimented the tacos. They tasted really good and while they didn’t have the fishy taste or smell we’d expected, they were superb. The ‘Kimchi Pancakes’ were 4 savoury pancakes laid end to end and slightly overlapping had a topping of crunchy salad with sliced chillis and a Korean soy sauce. Then the whole plate was drizzled with a chilli and garlic 8Jang sauce. The pancakes were fluffy, the crunch of the topping gave great texture to the softness and the sauce finished the flavour combo off nicely. A delight. The ‘Asian Watermelon Salad’ was fresh, summery and a gorgeous palate-cleaning finish to a lovely meal. The Bad - A roundish girl doing a bit of pre-evening cleaning dragged a metal chair right across the floor then behind the counter bumping it into things. She didn’t care as she proceeded to clatter it around lazily. She then folded it banging it again before tucking it away noisily. If I didn’t know better I’d have said it was a set-up because she couldn’t have taken any longer or made any more noise if she’d tried. After which, she chattered too loud and looked like she was completing forced labour. Utterly miserable. The Ugly - The place only had a couple of other people in it which doesn’t make for a great atmosphere, but you can’t hold that against S&G. The specials board was still offering Father’s Day despite being days out of date. My main negative is around the same miserable member of staff. She left mops out, brushes out, chair out and turned it into a cleaning room instead of doing a single job and putting something away. It was unsightly and unnecessary.Overall the food was good but the staff bad and the place looked ugly for a long while, spoiling the experience. All of which could be avoided.Would I go back - To S&G yes, but not to that particular S&G restaurant.Would I recommend - Yes, but not that particular S&G restaurant.
MoreA wonderful and totally underrated vegan restaurant. We ordered a few plates to share including the hummus and crackers, cauliflower wings, gnocchi and Korean tacos. Then, for dessert I opted for the raspberry cheesecake. Every single plate was delicious and I can’t wait to return :)
MoreWow, wow, WOW!!! If you haven’t been to Stem & Glory, get over here ASAP!I have MANY dietary issues for health reasons (following a Medical Medium lifestyleand the team at Stem & Glory made a special 3 course meal just for me! It was such a creative meal and absolutely DELICIOUS! I felt like a princess. The kitchen staff was extremely friendly and said they had fun figuring out what to make me. Everyone was so friendly and kind and went ABOVE AND BEYOND! I wish I could give this place a million stars. They deserve it!Also, my husband is not vegan and he thoroughly enjoyed his meal as well! He couldn’t decide and got several small plates. Loved them all. And he wants to come back to try more dishes.
MoreGood place, veggie and vegan dishes, payment via QR code (I think no cash allowed, but better to check with the team while booking)Unfortunately I didn’t like the dish I chooseI took the SRI LANKAN GOLDEN CURRY, which is grilled hispi cabbage, oyster mushrooms & green beans in coconut satay sauce, with tangy cucumber & mint salad, pickles, capers, fresh chillies & fragrant black rice…it was really a strong flavour for me and I didn’t like itI also took an entree (fake chicken wings with sauceI shared in my party of 3 and an Affogato (Gelato plus coffee), and with water the price for my part came at ~30£A bit expensive, but it is worth it for another shot to adjust this scoreMaybe next time I will choose Gnocchi
MoreGreat time here. Chilled atmosphere. When the weather is nice eat outside. The sun hits you perfectly.Wonderful flavoursome menu. The staff service is fantastic and very receptive. Highly recommended
MoreFood was delicious and well presented. The only thing I noticed whilst sitting at the chefs table is… the chefs have a towel to clean and present the food before serving. One of them dropped it on the floor, gave it a shake then used it again to wipe people’s plates. I’m sure the floor is very clean, but sill not great to reuse things once it’s been on the floor.
MoreThe food was wonderful and the staff great!A must go place if you are Vegan! Very good combination of species & flavours. It was my daughter birthday & they gave her a piece of a delicious fresh cheese cake 🍰
MoreHad a great time here.. very spontaneous dinner for myself and a good friend I hadnt seen in a long while and I couldnt have enjoyed myself more! The food was excellent you could tell they put a lot of effort into the depth of flavours of each dish. And the staff were all absolutely lovely, it was busy but they still managed to offer us a table inside.. we chose to stay outside as the weather was so nice that evening.Im very much looking forward to my next visit!
MoreQuality vegan food, friendly service.I came here with my brother and Aunt for a family catch up- they had both been here before but this was my first time. They told me it was really tasty so I had high expectations, and those expectations were met spectacularly. I had a swede Gnocchi, and BBQ cauliflower wings, which were both absolutely delicious and well presented. We were served by Adiel who was enthusiastic and helpful with recommendations.I would highly recommend this place to any people who enjoy vegan food- or to show a skeptical friend how good vegan food can be!
MoreGreat food and friendly staff. They started to list the carbon footprint of each item on the menu which is incredible. I had the apple and lavender latte, kimchi pancakes (which taste more delicious than I recall from the Cambridge branchand the dirty burger. Fully recommended for great tasting ethical food.
MoreThe food here is beautiful, I had the pumpkin ravioli and it was delicious and clean tasting and the sticky toffee pudding was to die for. The staff were cheerful, fast and helpful.
MoreIncredible customer service and delicious food. Had the gnocchi, oyster mushroom scallops, and Kimchi pancakes.
MoreLovely place, with amazing service and also very speedy. We didn’t expect our food to come as quick as it did. Food and drinks were delicious 😋
MoreStem & Glory is phenomenal, really amazing food and friendly service. Staff were knowledgeable and engaging about the menu and gave us great advice. There were vegetarians and non-vegetarians and everyone enjoyed the variety on the menu.
MoreFantastic food and service. Me and my girlfriend ate here for dinner and highly recommend it! The service was top and the food stellar. We had the kimchi pancakes and cauliflower wings for starters. Desserts we also fantastic! All gluten free, vegan and refined sugar free! Its worth sitting next to the kitchen! Theyre so friendly and its great seeing them cook
MoreFound this gem randomly whilst having a Dessert craving.Popped in and ordered the Wild Berry Crumble with Custard (Veganalong with an Chocolate and Orange Herbal Tea. Both complimented each other well. The customer service was genuinely first class. Personable and very welcoming. Not had the mains yet so looking forward to a follow up visit 😎
MoreDelicious vegan lunch experience! The staff were so friendly and wonderful, especially the manager who was very helpful and knowledgeable. Location is a short walk from the Barbican or St Paul tube. This location was fairly busy for a weekday lunch.
MoreCool place and well presented dishes. We really liked the BBQ cauliflower wings and the fish tacos. The Szechuan aubergine main was a little rich and sickly though and the sauce for that should be toned down a few notches. Wed definitely go back though and try more things, plus get others that we enjoyed again. Also I liked their environmental initiative with the cuttlery not being changed from starter to main. We normally try and do that anyway but its nice to see a restaurant encouraging it. I can imagine some customers dont like that, but I have respect to the restaurant for doing this.
MoreThis is the best meal Ive had yet in London! I am here traveling solo for work and walked in during a very busy dinner time when they were fully booked, but the supervisor was so friendly and nice and they were able to accommodate me and make a space at the bar. The food was delicious! I ordered the Kimchi Pancakes and the Swede Gnocchi. The presentation of the dishes was beautiful and the gnocchi was so flavorful. For dessert I ordered the raspberry cheesecake and it looked too beautiful to eat, and tasted even better. Overall cant recommend this place enough! The food and service was great!
MoreIt’s great to find a vegan restaurant with such a delicious array of original choices. I could of eaten any of the dishes. Great service and lovely ambience. The staff were excellent and very helpful. Will most definitely visit again if in the area.
MoreDefinitely one of the best vegan places I have been in a while. Cozy atmosphere, excellent service by it’s owners, and an outstanding menu full of innovative dishes.I have been in London for three days and ate here twice.Totally recommended!
More"Fish" tacos were good but not a big enough portion for a main. Chips from the burger werent cooked. Overall food was not up to the price tag.
MoreAbsolutely amazing vegan food (five star). The table service given made this restaurant feel a warm and welcoming environment (five star). I highly recommend this restaurant.
MoreAmazing food and ambiance. We had a lovely time, 100% vegan menu and allergy friendly. My favourite was the Crispy BBQ Cauliflower wings. We’re definitely coming back.
MoreLovely interior: airy and white furnishings that lend a sense of calm. I was greeted warmly by staff and the manager (I thinkso definitely sets a very good first impression. I popped in for takeaway lunch and had the NAKED BURGER BOWL 14: succulent protein pattie, baby spinach & cherry tomato salad, ‘novocado’, red fox beans, cucumber ribbons, with southern style slaw & buffalo aioli. I substituted grilled aubergine for the cucumber ribbons with no issue. Also had the grilled hispi cabbage as a side. Expensive for a lunch at £18 but so worth it. The patty was thick and succulent and the dressings moreish. I greatly enjoyed the red Fox beans and novocado as well. The cabbage was buttery and charred well.
MoreStaff are accommodating & friendly! Feels like they have known you for a long time. We reserved online for a table outside as there was no inside table except the chef’s table. When we arrived there’s no heating nor light in the outside tables. The host managed to provide a table inside even though it was fully booked. So we were very pleased with it! Ambiance is nice and particularly like the lighting the the huge geometric patterned wall. We ordered 1 small plate - kimchi pancake and 1 large plate - Szechuan aubergine & kimchi rice and finished off with warm cherry crumble with (hotcustard. Food is good but could be better. Portion is alright I guess. :let’s just say I expected better but overall, because of the lovely welcome and attentive staff I am giving them a ⭐️⭐️⭐️ google rating!
MoreLove this place. Delicious food but still healthy- my highlights are the kimchi pancakes and the pasta dish. Been twice, will definitely go back again. Only downside is both times my drink didnt taste like what I ordered, the first time they insisted it was correct so I didnt say anything the second time.
MoreNice fresh and relaxed vibe, nothing too pretentious. Was greeted well. Food wise we tried 3 small plates - gnocchi, cauliflower and kimchi pancakes. The first two were very tasty and delightful. Kimchi pancakes didnt work for us - too overpowering/salty. The sundae tasted nice but could have been better presented. Took a while to pay up as some staff had left and the others were busy preparing for closing.
MoreMy wife and I had a brilliant time here! All the food here is vegan and majority gluten free. We received a BuyaGift voucher as a birthday present and couldnt have been more impressed with both the friendly staff/service and the tasty food! We had the cauliflower wings for starter, followed by the Swede Gnocchi (both of our favourite dishand Tofu Katsu curry. For dessert I had the Chocolate Fudge Brownie (woooow!! 🤤My wife had the Rasberry Cheesecake. Well definitely be coming back here in the near future 🌱💚
MoreI didn’t get the name of the waiter, but he was really friendly and nice. Always with a smile on his face and helpful. Food did take a little time, but we went as the restaurant opened so it was bang on lunch time. Tried the Cauliflower bites, tofu yakitori and sticky toffee pudding, and my friend opted for the Shakshouka. The food was decent, glad we tried this place out since overall it was nice. But I wouldn’t visit again, as pretty as it was — the food didn’t impress me that much to come back. I would recommend any vegan to try this place at least once though, it was a pleasant experience and I did leave with a full belly :)
