Attended the Slow Market (as a vendorthat is held there every Saturday. The grounds are very neat & tidy with spotless bathrooms. Love the buildings & huge oak trees!

Pure Libertas was a pleasant surprise. The market is filling friendly folks and the food and craft beers are just amazing. Highly recommend a visit to this Slow Market

Your experience will probably depend on the artist, but the venue is an outdoor amphitheatre so its really awesome for any summer performance. Nataniel was AMAZING

Had the privilege of listening to a legend, Dave Cousins and exceptional musician Schalk Joubert at Oude Libertas. Brilliant. Fantastic setting. Will be back.

Wow. What a fabulous environment to experience the world renowned Indluvo Youth Choir for a sunset concert.

A variety of food. Had my breakfast bun at forking delicious, bought a loaf of olive bread and my veg for the potjie for tomorrow. The knive and cutlery board also caught my eye. The coffee was also delicious. So much more. Awesome place for the market. Atmosphere great.

A charming amphitheatre, beautiful adjacent open picnic areas, friendly staff and an excellent show. Its definitely an ideal option for a Sunday afternoon and value for money.

Slow Market at Oude Libertas is really the place to be on a Saturday. You have a massive selection of freshly made meals, take a break and relax with a cup of coffee, craft beers and ales or a bottle of wine or bubbly. Explore local arts and crafts. This is really my go to place on weekends.

An absolute must for culture lovers! What a beautiful venue with incredible shows. The 40 Fingers 2 show was such a delight. Highly recommend this wonderful experience beneath the stars. Suited for all ages, although little ones may not last through late night performances ✨👌🏻🎹🎶

Slow Market on Saturday is worth a visit. Some good food and local produce (organic). Chilled, relaxing vibe.

A fantastic evening of orchestral music. Comfortable seating well organised and most enjoyable. Nothing like a warm summers evening listening to live music under the stars! Had a picnic before the performance under the beautiful green oaks whilst the sun was setting.

The direct sunlight in your face can make the experience a bit awful.the sun only sets late during the summer,so be prepared for that challenge.overall its not a bad amphitheater at all.very nice location.

The place is incredible and has a lively vibe to it. It also has food stations and kiosks where you can buy products, food, flowers, spices, clothes and dine in at the same time. All made from fresh produce and right in front of you.

Great Saturday market set in a beautiful wine estate with lots of delicacies, original artworks and more. Go hungry, you wont be disappointed.

I have been here before for the new years event in 2016, which was an absolute treat. You sit on the grass with your picnic basket and enjoy the evening. Had their Schwarma salad at the slow market on Saturday. I didnt even miss the pita bread. Delicious wholesome food.

Perfect place to spend a night with family or friends. Staff is so friendly and helpful. Love going here.

Awesome venue with great sound and entertaining

Nice show. Queen songs. Picknicking people behind me in row J were too noisy. Talking and singing along with vocalists. Disturbing. Else .... very enjoyable. M

Watched Romeo and Juliet here and it was an awesome experience. Magnificent setting in Stellenbosch winelands and a novel way to experience the theatre.

We got lost but found it in the end. The venue is beautiful. The sound was amazing. To sit and listen to Andrew Young on the saxophone, with the orchestra, while watching the day slowly turn to night, was an awesome experience. Loved it.

This is a really great venue for summer outdoor performances. The setting is beautiful and adds a sense of natural grandeur to the event. The staff are friendly and the facilities are clean and well designed. And I was very grateful for the cushions that they put on the seating.

Soooo beautiful and easily accessible. We went to go watch a show and did not at all struggle tl find parking 😃

Lovely intimate outdoor theatre. Comfortable seating with vinyl seat covers. One should take a rug in case it turns chilly. Sound and lighting is good. One can either picnic before the show or purchase a glass of wine prior to the show. There are other venues at Oude Libertas. It is in Stellenbosch.

A great place to chill, it was great that there was a bar service so you could enjoy a drink while being entertained. Our show, EQ was absolutely fantastic, would definitely enjoy going to another show featuring them

Need a good cleanup. Check your change when you purchase a drink. Non paying people standing behind the wall smoking makes it very unpleasant during the shows.

Went to watch Evita Bezuidenhout, what a lovely evening. Firstly she was excellent. Secondly the venue was great. Friendly staff, well situated, and the venue itself is beautiful.I recommend coming here on a summer evening for a show.

I decided to start drinking some of my wine collection. Opened this beautiful bottle of Oude Libertas Selected Cinsaut - I believe this to be from 1971 .. (?and found the following:1. The cork was slightly leaking, but still exited to bottle without crumbling2. The wine was excellent - tasting of a rich plum, mixed with (maybe?some cinnamon. Really, really nice!I cannot even remember where I bought this and/or the price, but, what a delight! Thanks!Absolutely a delight to have

Great venue for concerts. Romantic sunset. Bring your own cushion and Blankets. Picnic as well.

We had a wonderful evening at the BlackByrd show! The venue and the staff very well organized!! Well done. The band was phenomenal! They make us proud to be South African. The crowd was awesome too!Well done to Oude Libertas for putting this together it was really great!We will be back for a picnic and a show next time!
