Steel Force - Roller coaster in Allentown, United States
This is my most favorite roller coaster out of Dorney Park So is talen and Hydra
Steel Force is my all time favorite ride in Dorney Park I highly recommend everybody to go on it.
My absolute favorite Rollercoaster . It is the smoothest Rollercoaster in my opinion.
EXTREMELY FUN, RODE IT 2 TIMES.
its a thrilling ride. lots of air time and the helix is pretty intense. I definitely recommend a back row ride over the front row. the view is great from the top. its buttery smooth. never had a bad ride. the lines tend to be pretty short for such a great ride.
Itβs an older 200 ft/ 70 mph coaster, but a great ride.
The thrill every time I ride Steel Force! One of my favorite rides.
Maybe one of the best rollercoaster at dorney, its fast but not too fast enough for my 7 year old cousin, he also really enjoyed this ride
What an awesome attraction you feel your falling forever on the first drop
Fun first drop and great bunny hills. Recommend if youβre in the area.
Short line for such an exciting ride.
Loved the first drop. I do enjoy the airtime and it is much smoother compared to Thunderhawk.
Its fun but nothing special.
Best ride at the park we got on 3x in a row ππππ« Steel Force will never get old to me.
Steel Force was amazing! It has a great first drop, a fun double helix and a great set of bunny hills after the mid course. Highly recommend if youre in the area!
First 200+ foot megacoaster for me. I rode it in its first year of operation in 1997 when I was 9. Ill never forget being in the front seat with my sister at night. It feels like youre the only people on the ride when youre in the front seat. Its a great ride. Exhilarating.
A great hyper coaster. Very good ride. π¬
Not a spinning loop roller coaster like talon or hydra, but faster pace than most. Good stepping stone to overcome fear of heights, its the tallest ride there in its first peak!
I love this roller-coaster. Theres nothing super special about it except the first hill is very high and overall its a fast roller-coaster. It doesnt really do anything super crazy. Its also a smooth ride and youll want to put your arms up! Try it youll love it! π
This is the best coaster at Dorney Park!! Smooth, fast and exhilarating!!! We typically ride this one over and over again!!
There isnt really a drop in your stomach when riding it. Even in the back. It was a really fun ride though
This is my go-to ride every time I go to Dorney Park. The line might sometimes be long but it is definitely worth it for sure
One of my all time favorites since the season it was installed. Just a good smooth fast ride.
Loved all the roller coasters and more. Food and drinks were a little pricey. Ecspecially the cups. I havent been there in a long time but they were crazy for a cup.
Love Steel Force. With speeds reaching 75 mph, a helical that makes you pull 2.7 gs (in other words you weigh almost 3Γ your normal weight, followed soon after a series of bunny hops that give you serious air time, while delivering one of the smoothest rides you could ask for, Steel Force is a traditional steel coaster that has it all.
Had a great time. Best getting tickets ahead of time to avoid the lines. Older coasters are a blast
Steel Force is always a great ride. First rode it back in 2010 and its always been an airtime filled ride. Highly recommend the the front for the drop and the back for the airtime. Love Steel Force
Always exciting, Steel Force is a great roller coaster and a must-ride if you visit Dorney Park.
Awesome roller coaster for all ages if yall enough! thrilling but not terrifying! a perfect first roller coaster for anyone!
My son first roller coaster.
Very good coaster, but lacking a little excitment. I wish there was more of a thrill on that first hill. It looks so menecing from a distance, and I expected a little more fun and thrill from this huge rollar coaster. However the tunnels are very cool, and the turns are incredible. They may be my favorite part of the coaster. All in all a good hyper coaster.
Easily one of the greatest roller coasters in the United States!!! Itβs super smooth and really exhilarating. The 200 ft drop is terrifying, but itβs so much fun. The line moves very quick, which is good.
I was so scared to go on at first, but my friend convinced me to try it, and boy was it the thrill of a lifetime! Definitely give it a shot whenever you visit!
Steel force is my favorite roller coasters out there. Its fast and has a good distance to it. Every time I go I try to go on it as many times as possible since its that great. Would recommend to anyone who likes roller coasters since its always fun.
Ive loved this coaster for more than 20 years, its the reason my family has season passes.
As a big time in long time roller coaster fan and someone who has been to about a dozen states to try different coasters Im a steel force is one of the best. Smooth ride with lots of thrills, speed, scenery and still exciting after over 20 years Ive writing it on a pretty regular / annual basis
One if THE BEST roller coasters ever...it has it all-the incredible drop 205 ft, fast as hell, unbelievable turns, and at the end, great air time. Perfect.
No faults with this awesome coaster. Comfy seats, a smooth ride, and its tall, fast, and fun. The trip out is smooth floaty and fun. The trip back has better stronger airtime, too. But in my opinion, the real highlight is the giant helix turnaround. Its huge, long, and forceful with a mix of lateral and positive G forces, and is probably my favorite helix on any steel coaster. Steel Force is an awesome ride that anyone can enjoy.
This use to be my favorite ride! Unfortunately it seem as though it has not gotten as much love and care as the ride is now very rough and jerky! Hopefully one day Dorney will invest a bit more time into restoring the ride to what it use to be!
Steel Force is a great Simple Roller coaster. Great air time. Lots of fun. I feel like I may be one of the few that use it as an observation tower on the way up. "I found the car" Follow my adventures on YouTube/RSP58 :)
One if my favorite rides in the park. Going up that first hill to the top just gets your heart going and then the brief pause at the top before you go down the hill adds to the intensity of the ride. Then going 200+ feet down that hill with your stomach in your throat is one of the best feelings in the world. There is nothing quite like good roller coaster ride, and Dorney Park has some great coasters....with this one being one of the best ones.
Had my first ride on Steel Force today. Great ride. Rode it 2x back to back. Park was fairly empty tonight so zero lines. The drop on this coaster at night is great. This ride has good air time. Really fast coaster. I was actually afraid of this coaster for a while. I have no idea why. Its a great thriller.
I absolutely do love this ride I just wish theyd update the safety features I mean the amusement park.can afford a liquor license and the employees were cursing and flipping each other the bird.....great for the family thanks for that.
I will say that Steel Force is the only truly extreme coaster at the normally reserved Dorney Park. Lines can get long, but during summer months a 3-train operation cranks through guests no problem, so waits shouldnt be a major issue most of the time. With regard to the font row vs back row debate, its a straight wash in my opinion. Between the rather lengthy ride time of 3 minutes and a peak velocity of 75mph, it is without question Dorneys best coaster.
Great rollercoaster, my favorite in the park. I went the other day and it happened to be stuck. The line can also be ridiculously long but the sometimes hour and a half wait can be worth it. I recommend sitting in the back for a more thrilling ride. The front is also fun being the first down the 250 ft drop!
Truly legendary coaster: a long ride up with a wonderful view, two thrilling initial drops, a solid double helix, and then the best roller coaster bunny hops Ive ever experienced. Sit in the back car for an epic amount of air time! Ive ridden it 9 times and would ride it 100 times more.
I love this park and have been going here for years! Steel force is definitely the one ride that makes you want to keep riding it. The park is typically always very clean and the employees are really friendly.
The ride overall was really good however many seat belts were not working properly and there was no prominent handle to hold on but the otherwise the ride was good and really fun.
Steel Force is one of two hyper coasters I have ridden, and the only one by Morgan Manufacturing. This is in my top 3 best roller coasters out of the ones I have ridden. This ride isnt that intense, it is just a really fun ride. As is the same with most hyper coasters, this coaster is all about the airtime, and certainly has a lot of it. An advantage you have with this ride is that they dont lower your lap bar all the way down. I remember there being a considerable amount of distance between my lap and the restraint. They also dont tighten your seatbelt that much either. So during the ride, you really do go floating out of your seat. It is all floater airtime. Even all of those bunny hills towards the end give you floater airtime. This ride isnt necessarily the smoothest but it is not rough. My favorite part of the ride is definitely the small hills towards the end. This ride is so fun and I would ride this again in a heartbeat. If you want to pop out of your seat and laugh the whole way through a roller coaster, this is the ride for you.
More focused on speed and smoothness than anything overly exciting, I still have to commend Steel Force as being an overall fun coaster. The lift hill takes forever and it weirdly hangs you over the edge of the first drop for an uncomfortably long amount of time, but the rest of the ride is fast and (mostlysmooth until you hit the station again. The ride offers great views of the rest of Dorney Park, and is such a fun ride, even though it is shoved in the back corner of the park, quite alone by the employee parking lot.
