Steak City Fish & Chicken in Muncie

Hands down the best and most comforting food in Muncie. Atleast 3 days out of the week I buy food from here and although there’s atleast 100 different menu combinations I get the same thing because it so good. Jumbo shrimp and tenders combo, extra lemon pepper, hot and mild sauce. This place really is amazing I wish I could work there I’d push chicken wings in my pocket every night 🤣🤣

Staff are nice and hardworkers! Food was amazing you get alot of food for the money! Recommend it 100%. Best Fish Ive had in years!!!

Ordered our food asked for nachos on doritos got nacho fries ordered 20 piece wings got wings an frys didnt order fresh but sure paid for them when I called to let them know the young lady was rude an the only thing I could do was bring it back to exchange gas is 5something a gallon we wont be coming backan we was ordering at least once week the rude young lady will cost them customers an thats a shame

I feel the six wings and fries was to high..

Tried it twice, workers are very friendly and knowledgeable and the red dipping sauce was yummy, i ordered the fish and chicken meal. I’ll be back again. ;)

The following was my 5 star review from last year. Immediately after this place started taking off the quality dropped substantially. The food is cooked differently now and most of the time cold and soggy. Very disappointed i dont order from here anymore ////The philly cheese steak tacos fish EVERYTHING is AMAZING great food portions prices and super nice staff on the phone, she’s very nice. Def try here before someplace else you won’t ever go back!

Philly cheese and steak sandwiches are the bomb really good reasonable price and theyre very friendly people I would recommend them to anyone

I ordered online and came to pick it up at the time my receipt said to be here (10:09but the doors are locked and no one is here. It already took my money so Im pretty frustrated.

The people are nice but the quality of the food has gone downhill in the past year. I don’t know if it’s a new cook or what?!! The last 3 times I’ve gone, I’ve ordered the chicken wings which were not cooked all the way through. Huge feathers left on the wings. Lacks seasoning even with the lemon pepper. They haven’t worn any masks or gloves with the pandemic going on. I used to enjoy this place and ordered frequently but I am disappointed and will not be returning.

Called order ahead, came to pick up later than quoted time, still waited 30 minutes inside store. Staff is friendly and food was fresh, so no complaints there.

I absolutely love this place. The portions are huge and always taste amazing. The jumbo shrimp is delicious and the gyros are to die for! I also always receive wonderful service from the people who work there. I recommend this place to anyone who is sick and tired of the same old fast food

Service was 100% GREAT!! WE ordered chicken nachos, and beef nachos both with Doritos and the food was fantastic. I will definitely be going back. The cashier was super sweet made sure everyone was ok.

Massively overpriced, every single item gets an additional $0.50 charge just to cook it. So if you get chicken strips and fries its an additional $1, then they sneak charges when they can, large fries is somehow $1 to cook. Was decent back in the day, gotten out of pocket since then. $10 for a LG fry. Used to be a huge metal tray of fries for $10, now its a Styrofoam container, barely more fries than a fast food joint LG fry at 5x the price. Hard pass. Wont return

I love SCF&C . All their food is so so good. I always get the small chicken nacho with Doritos . My son got the cheeseburger and fries which is really big enough for at least 2 people . I love that they accept EBT and you just pay a cooking fee. Highly recommend trying it . Their nachos are the best. (Mine has no jalapenos. You can get chicken,steak,beef. Also the customer service is truly amazing. Thanks

We got cheesesteak,fries,and cheese sticks. $26 no drinks, questionable meat, hot lettuce, cold fries , and cheese sticks that weren’t even cooked all way with no flavor. Very disgusting hope we don’t get food poisoningAlso the inside looks like a weird convince store and looked dirty on inside. Staff was not nice either . Word of advice don’t go there gross

The food here was really good. I got a order of dead fried mushrooms and they reminded me of my home town dairy bar. Its so cool also you can pay with food stamps for the cold food at there restaurant but only have to pay cash for cooking the food so it makes it for even us people struggling a chance to order out and enjoy our family at dinner ends team of all the kitchen duties.

What can I say here, just WOW, come see for yourself I cant put this with fast food at all, prices are affordable and the food is great.One other plus for lots of families is that they accept EBT cards

Zero curbside appeal. Trash, boarded windows, and dilapidated shops for neighbors. Once inside the cramped lobby, the ceiling is missing in places; there is an open 2ft ceiling vent, without a cover vent blowing onto customers AND the serving area!?!Needless to say, cleaniness and hygiene are not a priority for this establishment; i.e. hygiene and dress of the employees, food/money handled by the same person, counters, floors, and walls all covered with a tinge grease along with the people who are touching things, while standing on top of each in the "lobby". Not sure if the Health Dept knows about the conditions of their operations?Service was extremely rude, and they seemed bothered to be disturbed from doing something else? Maybe because English was a second language, or the cultural differences in communications?!?Menu prices are misleading. They charge $4 dollars MORE per item than what was posted?!? Is that even legal? In addition, to the ALSO separate "cooking fee" !?! Who charges separately for cooking food???They do have a small amount of grocery items on 3 counters, filled with what looked like old dusty food items. I expect this is a ploy, to justify the use of EBT foodstamps cards for fast food to go. This business exploits disadvantaged people at the expense of tax payers.SAVE your money, your time, and yourself from this place!!! My recommendation is avoid this shockingly deployable diner!!!

I just tried Steak City for the first time tonight. Took my daughters to try something new. The food was tasty especially the wings and shrimp. The fish however was full of bones. I got whiting fish. Tasted good but had to watch out for bones with every bite I took.

Love the employees and the food. Ive never ordered anything that didnt taste great. Reasonable pricing, too.Im updating my review to say that this place is my favorite, lol. Im addicted to their jumbo party wings. The sauces are so good. Their nachos are pretty big, even when you order a small. The italian beef is LOADED and delicious. Im not usually a fan of chicken tacos but even those are amazing here. Ive literally never tried anything that disappointed me here. Goooo to steak city if you havent been before.

Food is made fresh to order. Service was quick and accurate. Would definitely recommend. The sizes are larger than what you would expect based on the description.

When they first opened it was really good food it was always fresh and just the way I like it. The last few times I went there the food was not so much good to me. I also had a longer wait time than when I did when the food service first opened because they got very slow or possibly the workers that they hired at the time didnt really care for the company to make it a better establishment. The prices are very cheap and they have meal deals. They have multiple different types of cheesecakes so they do have a variety of desserts. Its also like a little convenience store because they sell canned goods and drinks in a bottle along with toilet paper and etc. This is not a restaurant that dines-in and there are no restrooms for public.

Hands down, best wings in town, and one of the best Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches I’ve ever had!! Lemon pepper dusting is amazing on the wings and fries! The shrimp are a must have, as well!

Loved it! Was especially good this time. Not nearly as greasy as in the past. I really enjoyed it a lot more than normal. We eat at least once a week. Our family loves it!!

Food is absolutely disgusting and it tasted fresh out of the microwave. I wouldn’t feed this junk to the raccoons in my backyard. I would recommend you take a detour a few miles north and get an actual meal.

Ordered our food at 530 and was told it would be ready in 30-45 minutes. At 620 was told it would be "10 minutes longer" it is now 651 and I have been informed that part of my order is ready but it will be another 10-15 on the rest of my order. So half of my food is going to just sit around while they cook the other half??

I really enjoyed the tacos. I prefer corn tortillas but its definitely not a make or break situation. My tacos were made with steak. The steak flavor was really nice. The cheeseburgers were pretty big and flavorful as well. Ill definately be back.

Me and my husband got philly cheese steaks. They were amazing! So filling I couldnt finish all of mine!Our food was ready in 15 minutes. Fries were nice and crispy. And they put lemon pepper seasoning on them which is really good like all the other reviews say. The food was good and hearty. Lots of cheese on it ❤ and good sized portions. Definitely one of the best restaurants in muncie. Definitely reccomend this one. And we will be back.This is a pick up restaurant only no sit down. Called in and picked up food. They forgot the order again. Waited almost an hour. Got food home and it’s awful again. Paid $20 for nachos and a sandwich. Not warm. Just awful. Never again. I’d rather have a cold sandwich and save my money. Not doing that again.

It appears that they have new owners and cooks. I didnt think the food was as good as it used to be. My fries were not as crispy as they used to be. The shrimp were still big and tasted good. Friendly service.

The food is always good, usually great. Its affordable, and they accept EBT even which I think is cool. I only wish the menu wasnt always in such flux, or was easier to read online. The ordering process could be easier. Love this place though, I hope it sticks around, and continues growing.

This place is the boom they have really good food. On top of that they are very nice and professional. If you going in there you can call and order first but go in you can pay with food stamps then pay them a cooking fee. I thought that was a really cool thing when I found that out. I think a lot more places should do that. If you go try there Nachos they are amazing and the amount you get you and someone can easily share it. Just go give it a try you wont be disappointed.

Ordered 2 of the 2-cheeseburger meals. Both were cooked correctly. Took a little more time to get my food then the 15 minutes (23they said but food was hot and order was correct.

Best food for the price and awesome staff. My fiance and I wanted to try something new that we have not tried yet. The gyro was killer and the amount of chicken tenders you get for $7.50 is AMAZING.To top it all off, when I said that the staff were Awesome, I meant it. I work a Service Dog because of some physical disabilities. They handled it with the utmost respect and professionalism. Its not very often I go somewhere new with her because I have faced a lot of discrimination, fear, and down right nastiness towards me when it comes to having her with me. (Trust me, if I had a choice, I would leave her at home. I dont particularly enjoy the attention, both good and bad, when I just want to shop/eat/whatever in peaceI dont mind the occasional question or "Awe, she is gorgeous," but having to stop every five feet to answer a thousand questions over and over is exhausting.The staff here treated me no different than a regular customer. Of course asked a few questions, but didnt bombard me with questions.I can say with certainty that my fiance and I will be going back because of the portions and the customer service. They made it with every minute of the wait (10-20mins depending on what you orderwell worth it knowing that I wont be shunned, discriminated against, and treated as equally important as other customers!!

Always good food, made fresh and piping hot. The girls that work there really know there stuff and take care of you as quickly as they can. Call ahead for your order though and avoid the little wait.
