Basic but good. Comfort room was spacious enough, good mattresses, nice shower. Location is AAA and staff is friendly and helpful. Will stay again.

If you’d like to potentially share your room with homeless people go. Otherwise, spend the extra cash and get a hotel / Airbnb.

Perfect central location, great value, friendly staff, bar and cafe with excellent food and drink choices and our comfort room was private, clean and had excellent views. Best kept secret in Utrecht!

I got ropped in this hostel of my wallet it contained 1500 euros, while paying for my breakfast at the cashier, i asked them to check the cameras they said go to the police, i filed a report then they i went to the hotel they said sorry we cannot check the cameras, the manager is not here and there was an appointement at 8 am to check the cameras then she didnot show up, please take care guys to not get robbed in this hotel i lost my wallet and they did not even try to help me look at the cameras, very unprofessional staff and bad experience, i hope this doesnot happen to anyone plus not all areas are covered with cameras so take care when you are there to not get robbed

The location is jus perfect in the center of the city. Nice bar and beers. The staff is cool and friendly. Rooms a big and clean with a nice view to the plaza. 💯 % recommended.

The hostel and the experience were quite good, but honestly the heating and the sealing of the windows were quite insufficient. Me and my girlfriend heavily suffered the cold and we both got sick.Maybe something to keep in mind for the future.

Very central location, but the rooms were very quiet at night. Also very clean, the fittings all seem quite modern. We stayed in a private 4 bed dorm which had its own toilet and shower room.

The location and service are good but the rooms are way too lacking. They did the absolute minimum, and it shows. Not enough towels and generally the room is very lacking in pretty much every area.

Its a great hostal, the staff is kind. One of the things that I like the most is that they have an elevator, perfect is youre carrying a big luggage (as I was).They also have o good security system in my opinion. They have restaurant/bar in the first floor that is open for the general public, but for you to access to the oder floors you need a card that only guests have.The rooms are okay, the only thing I didnt like much about them is that they are very dark, even with the lights on or with all the windows open I still felt that I needed more light. Besides that, it was great.

Great hostel set in a very central location. Friendly staff. The rooms were fine with an en suite. The beds were also comfy. Downside is there is no self catering option. Not a massive issue as many restaurants nearby. I would think of this as closer to a hotel than a hostel. The bar and chill out area was nice as well.

I checked in in the evening on 2nd August. The room was very dirty. I made a complaint the next morning. It was said that it would be cleaned that same day. It wasn’t. When I arrived at the hostel that day, I made another complaint. The room would be cleaned the following day. And it was, but despite looking cleaner, it was still dirty. I took pictures.The room wasn’t what I had booked. I was told that it would be better, because “this room (4.13had more room”. The room had 3 small round windows on the top if the wall. We not only didn’t have a view but also had not enough fresh air, as one of the windows didn’t open. On the warmest days, it got really hot inside. It was really claustrophobic and disappointing.The breakfast was nothing special as well.

Amazing location. Fair price. Stellar view of the library and square. Great sized room (private double roomwith a bathroom attached. Came with towels and personal shampoo/body wash packs. Great room temperatures. Only critique is the flatness of the pillows.

The Miffy room was fantastic. Literally all things are Miffy themed, even the baby bed. It is a hostel, but the service is more premium than the average hostel. Staff is friendly and professional.Only thing that could improve is the dinner, that had to be lactose free for one of us. However, we suspect that the salad dressing was not lactose free and there was not readily a lactose free dessert.

Would have prefered a room with actual windows but the price and location was definitely worth it! I would go as far as to say one does not just stay ok here, they stay well

Everything that youd expect from a hostel is here. Staff is mostly nice but one staff member was quite unpleasant and insensitive, hope this improves in the future.

Probably one of the best hostels Ive stayed. I had a single room and everything was as expected. The only thing missing was a floor towel but I could live without it. The common area and the restaurant is nice. And the staff were friendly. Location wise - it is amazing. Walking distance to all shops and the central station.

Sooo hot and stuffy. No AC and windows don’t open. We stayed here instead of the hilton hoping to meet people in the common area, but during the week the common area is completely full of local students on their laptops who looked annoyed by anything other than total silence. Wasn’t a terrible experience but certainly not great.

Great location, room would have been great, but the ceiling vent was not working and with the high temperature this left the room very hot and uncomfortable to try and sleep in. We are used to very hot climate in tropics etc.. and it was still v hot for us. Should be an easy fix.

For the price 96€ a double room you can only get an ok stay. Paper wall wakes you up, non-open window make you hot, AC is controlled by the hostel which make you cold and wakes you up again. No hair dryer in the room, and the shower’s temperature is unstable. The room just simple and basic, very basic. True is a hostel, but then, no kitchen, no fridge can use, no activities, no free bikes, even lockers need to pay ( there’s also a free one but you got warned multiple times that it might get stolen lol )So, hotel price, hostel part of.

We stayed in a double room with private bathroom in this place - overlooks a beautiful and buzzing square (see photo). You simply cannot beat the location. It is walkable distance to anything you want to do in Utrecht, and there are so many bars and restaurant right in front of it. The service was friendly and efficient, the room got everything you need.A word of warning though, because of its location, there can be open air events in the square deep into the evening (until 22:30), and some guests in the building might be a bit loud (but I think a staff member did resolve the issue on one night when it was particularly bad).Thanks for the pleasant stay.

Helpful receptionist willing to help on any request.. Clean room with private bathroom. The only thing wifi not so strong especially at room near the corner.

To be an hostel, absolute innovative, everything looks new, family & solo-friendly. Spotless, abundant breakfast, excellent service, receptionists polite with guests. Cant complain!

For a single-cheap travel it is nice. I stayed for 5 nights but I think that my room wasn’t clean any day. I shared room with 9 people and you couldn’t open the windows so the room was very sofocating and hot. The breakfast is very good, but the take away lunch doesn’t worth the price, it’s just a bag that you can take stuff from the breakfast buffet. It would be nice to have more only female rooms

One night stay here. Double room was very clean with everything we needed. Pillows not great though. No fault of hostel but the Thursday before bank holiday weekend is quite lively outside with partying 🤣 I really loved The 5th a great facility. Utrecht is a lovely city with plenty to see. For cycle tourers like us there is free and efficient underground secure bicycle parking almost directly opposite the hostel which was useful (below the library). The staff were brilliant 👍

The rooms have everything you may need, its clean and its located in the heart of the city. Definitely recommend staying here if youre just passing by the city for 1 night. Price is affordable and the staff is friendly and give exceptional service to the costumers.

A good place when you need to stay in the center of Utrecht, you do your bookings late and there are no longer hotels in the area with a 3 digit price per night. But if you pay with a card that requires the 3D secure, problems may arise. It looks like their system does not support this. I called them right after booking, and the booking was in the system. When I arrived the next day, it was gone. So be prepared. Ask for amenities if you end up in a room for four backpackers instead of your privte room with all the stuff you could expect. Now for pros: I think the herbs in pots that one could brew the breakfast tea with are gone because of COVID, but the chain is still devoted to "green", and I really do appreciate that.

For a fast, easy, low key and cheap meal this is the spot for you. Love their interior (upside miffy, so fun!). Friendly staff.

The staff are nice and friendly, the sheets are clean, they left mints and funny hand soap along with a welcome card on the bed, theres an elevator which is pretty great and they have a cool restaurant here, unfortunately thats where the nice things end.For starters; the rooms are generally clean enough, theres no kitchen, the toilet shower and sink are pretty gross, for the 2 nights I was here the room wasnt cleaned at all, theres a lot of yellow mold/fungus on the tiles in the shower (see picturesand it smells of rotten eggs, the washing machine smells of mold and mildew, finally theres the price, I paid 21€ per night (weekdays), it might be one of the cheapest in Utrecht but in Amsterdam (20mins awayits only 16€ for a hostel thats way nicer and is always cleaned daily.Overall its not the worst Ive stayed in but its definitely not great especially considering the high price, if theres no other hostel available then its good for one night provided you dont shower here.

Dont stay at this hotel. They are trying to take your money even if its not your fault that the country put new laws against covid and you cant even go to the city.We tried to get them to consider our case,but they have shown zero flexibility and that they simply prefer to rob us and keep the money. Run away from this place

Location ist right in the middle, nice view from top floor onto the public library. Interesting former office building with stairs that have the groove of more than half a century in them.First floor features lots of communal space and outlets to charge devices.

The breakfast good, bed were nice and service was nice! Only minus was that there were no hooks in the room to put a jacket or anything. Otherwise very good!

PRO: Clean, modern, spacious 10 bed dorm with nice beds & baths, large common area with many places to chill, work or play table games, free brekkie if you book direct and stay at least 2 nights. CON: Dorm was too hot to sleep during summer because the window does not open and there is no AC, getting to the hotel is troublesome - 1km walking from train station or 3€ to use bus 74 or 77, almost impossible to get to by car (no stopping or parking within 300m of hotel and the Park+Ride is 20 min away but only 5€).

A nice hostel located in the center of Utrecht city. Cozy, clean and excellent service! If you come to stay with 2 people, try to upgrade to a 6 person room if you can. Other rooms are very small and often do not have a window.

Modern and clean hostel in the city centre. We stayed in a 2 person comfort room which can be compared to a standard hotel room (albeit without a TV). The room could do with better air conditioning since it was quite hot.Breakfast is basic but good enough and the bar has some nice beers and pastries. Staff was very hospitable and friendly.Owning to the location there will be some noise from the bars nearby but ear plugs are free :)

Stayed here with them so many times during my 3 months in Europe as I came and go around the Netherlands, beds are comfy, rooms are clean. Breakfast wasnt free but totally worth it to start your day with, so many options that as a lactose intolerance and i had no problem too! The common area is a cafe/ bar so very easy if you just wanna chill in hostel too.Super easy to walk to from Utrecht Centraal Station too! Laundry / luggage storage are all available too.

Maybe the most beautiful hostel ever.People working there are very kind and nice.Rooms are comfortable and clean, remember to ask for towels (extra cost but very very cheap).There is a big living room with bar and restaurant, where one can study, read or just chill.I love this place!

Everything here is awesome. The staff are lovely and helpful, the location is fabulous. The view from the room is fantastic. The toiletries (stayed in a private roomare great because they reseal and you can take them on your travels. The hand soap is probably the nicest Ive seen anywhere. Everything is perfectly clean and the bathroom is nice. The coffee downstairs is good quality and the hot chocolate divine. The locker area is good and they had a Miele washing machine (didnt use this though). The decor is nice and the beds comfortable (on the firm sideand the linen is decent. I hate to do it, but they have to lose a point for the pillows though. Theyre cheap and uncomfortable and for a place with everything else done so perfectly, this really stuck out. The value for money is good and it felt safe inside and around the area. Overall it was excellent and I would definitely come back.

Great location and very friendly staff. One very poorly isolated toilet and two showers for eight people, not bad but not great though. The common areas were lively and full of many kinds of travelers. Breakfast and coffee was very good too. The cleanliness of the bed could be improved though.

Really nice cafe on the first floor. Very spacious and modern, but quite cozy at the same time. Not a typical hostel canteen. Not so great for working or studying in the evening, since noisy groups (hen parties etc.like to start the night here.

We had two different rooms, one with 4 sleeping places and one with 6 sleeping places. Everything was really clean and the lockers are really big. The only thing is that you couldnt open a window. The beds are big and comfortable. Also a Nice bar/restaurant Ans really Friends staff at the entrance/reception.
