State Museum in Itanagar

1. I have one of the systematic, informative, well maintained museum amongst all North East states museum.2. Counter staff members are hospitable.3. Its just few meters near to Gompa Buddhist Temple.4. Ticket charge is Rs 10/-5 There was a research library in same campus.

Museum should be like this. I felt the vibes of Museum. From this Museum I got more knowledge on Arunachal state in particular and NE States in general.

Feeling excited and applauded the administration for displaying accurate(almostinformation. But Tableaux of the WANCHO tribe are not gratifying. And need more to add to it.

It was quite mesmerizing. The view of Itanagar Town from there is also great.

Its one of the most Organized Museum in India .. Wonderful experience, Its elaborate all districts with their traditional accounts, customs, cultures, Museum lovers do must have to visit ! (But some of the dirty mide people spits a pan masala in wall corner.

The museum was closed due to covid pandemic, but on Google map it was shown its open. Opening days are also wrong mentioned on map.Entry fee:₹20Camer fee :₹ 20Its a big museum, you need at least 1 hour to see this museum.

Here many monument and ancient tradition are displayed which were used by our ancestors also traditional dresses where wear by our different culture of arunachal. It is a good place to peace your mind and some tribal books also sold here like our tradition and culture book, our habitation history book migration history book and book of our father abotani will be found here.

It was awesome feeling with children and their curiosity makes me more excited to teach them about the cultural diversity and their linguistic Pots.

One of most recommended place for all ages, I got to know so much about our ancestors after I visited. I really appreciate the people who maintain to preserve our cultures cause no written, artifacts etc records we have about our ancestors accept the state muesum.

The museum is at a 10 minutes walking distance from Zero point, Itanagar. There are no Signboards on the main road for it. Look for SBI Branch and enter the same street, and then take left from T point.There is an entry ticket of Rs10 or 20 per person. Timings are 10am to 4pm with weekly off on Sundays and Mondays.The ground floor displays information about various tribes, masks across Arunachal Pradesh, those exhibits are really beautiful and worth spending some time. There is a small book store with great collection too.The first floor has a new addition about mountaineering achievements by people of AP, photo gallery of various personalities who have visited AP, clothing from different decades and of tribes.There is a lot to learn about the culture of AP in this one museum. The toilets are neat and clean. There is free parking outside. There are sufficient number of restaurants around it. If you like coffee, muffins and cakes, I highly recommend Hotel Arun Subansiri. Even the restaurant is reasonably priced and offers good quality food.Enjoy your day!

Good place to get knowledge about culture,arts,history. It is located in ITANAGAR,near the Buddhist Gompa.Here u will get to see all the historical items used by Arunachalee during olden days.Those who are hunger for knowledge about arts,culture and history of ARUNCHAL PRADESH,this is a place made for them.P.S- i would say one must really visit the place if u can...

If there is any variety left in a preserved environment. You might want to take a right into the allley opposite of Drodel. The small single lane will lead you here.

Loved this little state museum in the dusty city of Itanagar.. its a bit away from main road, that is why its quite and peaceful.. it is near the monastary hence quite easy to locate..

This museum is filled with all kinds of art and culture of arunachal Pradesh . You can know about the different tribes of arunachal Pradesh , their clothing, their culture ,art and their tradition. The entry fee is really cheap and its a good place to kill time and discover more about the state.

It is nice place to visit, where different arunachalee tribes culture were shown on the State Museum. We had an unplanned visit to the museum. To be honest, we were impressed.Ambiance: ⭐⭐⭐⭐A warm lighting is soothing to the eyes. The place is clean and well maintained.Knowledge: ⭐⭐⭐The showpieces depicted the culture and tribes. But a wide description/history chart would be highly appreciated. A curator 👩🏻‍💼 is warmly welcomed.Artefacts: ⭐⭐⭐⭐A completely wrecked plane 🛩️ outside gives an interesting insight of IAF back in the days.

I really thank the authority for their immense cares of the Museum. We can view the whole Arunachal Pradesh history in a single place. Wow, the sculptures saying all Arunachali tribes stories themselves, they look like live. The puppet of first Arunachali mount everest climber is fabulous, it is interesting to watch the equipment which he used in his climbing.

State Museum of Arunachal Pradesh. If you are enthusiastic about tribes of Arunachal Pradesh, you can have a glimpse of different ethnic tribes in this place. The dummies of tribes in their respective attire is a great attraction. The weapons, tools, equipment, beads, ornaments, metal plates etc are displayed with information thereof.
