Staroměstský pivovar U Supa in Prague
Description
Privilege
I’ve been there a long time ago but it is really an unique experience staff was really friendly we tasted different kind of beer and ate some local cuisine.
MoreWe were walking through the old town and the smell of hops lured us into this beautiful brewery. The beer is homemade and displayed for the visitors to see how its made. Inside the tasty smell of hops fills your nostrills and fuels the athmosphere together with the nice interior. There are different kinds of homemade beers to try, which are well made. We didnt have any food. All in all it was the best brewery we visited during our stay.

Great experience with delicious meals! We ordered the deer shoulder and the grilled chicken. The deer dish was quite a sweet one as the sauce had some sweet notes and on top of that was a cranberry sauce as well. It was a solid choice but my tastebuds had me digging the grilled chicken and gravy just a bit more.Great beer brewed on site with great value!Amazing service was key. The staff member who helped us was so upbeat and polite, she really helped make the experience fantastic.
MoreServes traditional food. Lovely beer. The soup of the day (was a vegetable could be a bit better. But the sausages was a smash hit.Expect the traditional pork-style food to dominate.
MoreService is quite good. Oldest Brewy Beer Pub in town. Czech food is good too.
Not worth going. The beer tasting board is pretty expensive but we thought it would be worth is as it’s 6 x 0.2 litres. Unfortunately it was 90% foam so ended up being tiny tiny glasses of actual beer. The “pretzels” were dry, hard breadsticks. The service was bad, but we were forced to leave a tip - I.e. when we paid the waiter asked whether we wanted to pay the ‘service’ by cash or card. The beer was pretty good but not worth the money. Just go somewhere else.
MoreBeer-food-ambiance. Exzellent original bohemian location. I highly rwcommend this restaurant.
MoreIt’s a nice ambient with live music. Food is good and prices are not that high considering the location of the restaurant and portions of dishes. We had a great waiter so our over all experience was even better. I would recommend it if you would like to try Czech cuisine and drink some good craft beer.
MoreFinally polite waitresses and normal prices in Prague. Beer was aprox 2-3€ and prices for food were ok. Food was good, no complaints.
MoreBuzzy micro brewery. Loads of space. Good service. Served food. Interesting to watch the beer being made as you sit there. Worth a visit.
MoreUnique Brewey in old town.Only stopped in briefly but enjoyed our time with a couple of pints. Good spot for a break in between activities. Cool looking building with Brewing process equipment on display.
MoreA really authentic checz pub with amazing atmosphere. When you are in Prague, you should step in and ask for the 6 elements Beer tasting. Cards accepted.
MorePrices are high, but the beer is very good. I had the dark home-brew. I would have given 4 starts (due to prices compared to EVERYWHERE else in Prague, but when I asked for the check, the server pretended to not understand me and brought me another beer. Its not the worst problem to have...
MoreGood looking place, the brewing equipment is the first thing you notice as you walk in, its stunning.Several sections of seating, with a patio in the back, we sat in the windowed off section. Our waitress came for drinks first, we noticed that the dudes behind us had a tasting flight of 5 beers, but only two were on the menu, light and dark. It wasnt too clear why the other 3 werent available. Either way, the light and dark were both pretty good, the dark being a little sweeter and less bitter. We ordered a few appetizers, omelet on toast and potato pancakes, both were delicious. I enjoyed it here, but you could tell this place is geared towards tourists, it seems to lack of the authenticity that Ive seen at other pubs. Im not saying that its a trap, prices werent outrageous - except for the souvenirs - but Id say if youre ticking down the brewpubs in town, this place is a one-and-done kind of place.
MoreGood beer! Tasty snack for beer but portion is rather small.
They say that its the first brewery with a pub in Prague. It does not look at all like this. I know that time passes and things change but this place has nothing that will reveal its history. Its a modern Brewing pub. We had the beer tasting menu, something that I encourage everyone to do and it was perfect. 6 kinds of beer for 370 czk. We stayed on the terase but I wish we stayed inside. It was much nicer.
MoreFantastic home made beer. Tryed the dark. Loved it. High standard. Fresh place! Nice staff.
MoreThis was very nice place with very nice beers and good food. The service was the best part-Lubos was extremely nice and helpful,we had one of the best experiences during our stay in Prague
MoreHigh class interior design, and friendly stuff. We ordered the beer degustation (flight), which is really expensive here (~15€). All glasses were sticky, in the holes of the tablets was beer so all glass bottoms were wet and dripping all around. The beer they brew is not worth to be called Czech, because its between boring and tasteless.
MoreLoved the drinks, starters and main dishes. All of the food was hot and delicious.
MoreLovely place, and they brew their own beer.It also adds a lot to the atmosphere, that the first thing you see when you enter is some brewing-equipment.The staff is really friendly, and explains the difference between the different beers, showing a lot of knowledge of their menu. Dont miss this place when in Prague!
MoreOnly two different beers for this "microbrewery". The service was a bit slow and its a bit too fancy (but this part is subjective). Special mention to their dark beer however. Please, learn how to pour beer in a glass..
MoreTasting platter of six beers 2 dl each or more, two by U Supa, 3 other Czech and one Belgian cherry.
MoreVery nice service, very good food at reasonable prices, great beers. What else do you want. Try the selection of 6 beers from the brewery. It is worth the challenge.
MoreLoved this place in our 3 day stay we visited twice, great beer, great food and the service was quick and efficient.
MoreGood place to try. various beers ! I recomaded beer tasting menu. You can try 6 different beers at the same time and feel different flavor of Pilzen, Amber, dark and so on. Food was also good.
MoreCount your change! Visitors pictures of beers show half full glasses whilst owners pictures show glass nearly full without too much froth. Got the feeling they try to rip you off on beer looking at the beer glasses.Food decent though. Enjoyed the spaetzle and goose leg with sauerkraut, as better than the german version.
MoreAmazingly tasty food. We tried the deer in creamy sauce and wurst "to go with beer" and fried spätzly. Light or dark homemade beer. Will come back.
MoreGood beer but slow service
Brewery with Quite modern interior. We had to wait pretty long for the service. We ordered chicken soup, which was clear, strong and full with tender chicken meat. A good start, because we were freezing. Outside were around zero degrees and a cold wind. Unfortunately there was a cold draft in the main room behindThe entrance. I had a salad with beetroot and smoked fish. The beer was nice. Well, it was something between 3 and 4 stars. Food actually good but the service has potential to improve.
MoreGreat brewery in the city. We feared it might be touristy but the beer was delicious and the food was excellent! Highly recommend visiting this place.
MoreGreat quality food and selection of locally brewed beer. Main courses were rich and flavoursome using fresh ingredients. The service however was dismal. Our order was not placed, waited over an hour for order to arrive. Constantly having to flag waiter down in what appeared to be a normal Saturday afternoon demand.
MoreGood beer, food & atmosphere. We tried the sausage as it was recommended to go with beer and it sure did. The sausage came in a rich tomato beer sauce. Both dark and light beer were very good too. It was a wet day so the dark beer went down really well 🍺👍🏼 Dekuji U Supa ... 🍻Na zdraví🍻
MoreThe beer is what makes the rating. The service is so so for a tourist trap. The "flight is served extra foamy" see first picture. All the beers made by the brewery are above average. But the best beer served is Kasteel Rouge by a Belguim brewery. If this place wants to get better, put regulators on your line and teach how to pour beer. Also, the card does not actually describe the beers not from the brewery. Use the untapped app for assistance. Good luck!
MoreBest beer in prague I would say, being one of the oldest micro brewery, it has maintained its standards with great care. We went for the Dark and the light beer and the beer tasting tray which serves you 6 different flavors. I would highly recommend each and every beer lover to visit this place.
MoreBeer is good, prices acceptable but serving beer in glass where 50% is only foam is not acceptable for me.
MoreWhat a meal... such a great find. Nice service and fantatsic food. I suggest the quest sausage cooked in dark beer for the win! The I side is really something to see and nice to be so close to the main street. Please go and at least have a beer !
MoreVery nice and affordable place with tasty food and beers. Professional and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.
MoreGreat beer in a perfect location. Tried the beer tasting - and it was excellent. Didnt try the food.
MoreStaff were the best Ive found. Attentive, curtious, friendly, and knowledgeable. Great atmosphere on the patio. The food was good, not 5 star, but very good.
MoreGreat beer and ambience! Brewery is seen in the resto.... Cherry beer recommended for the ladies at 99czk for 0.3L :tasting beer at 350czk.Didnt try the food but portion does look rather huge!
MoreVery good natural brewed beer even not so cheap 59kc per cup. But it is an old town what you want ;think food is good too. Also there is an accordeonist for the pleisure of visitors.
MoreBeer was great. Schnitzel wasn’t bad, but my wife’s goulash was much better. I would’ve gone 4.5 stars if I could...as I’m glad we went, but not sure we’ll be back.
MoreThis place was a nice rest stop from the crowds and cold of the Christmas markets. Their beer and potato pancakes hit the spot and warmed us right up to brave the winter again.
MoreGood beer, nice atmosphere, staff obviously enjoying themselves. Cheese platter a bit small for the price, but the bread with it made up for it.
MoreGreat home brews .Excellent food menu, reasonably priced. GF options.Garden dining if desired.
MoreWe went there for a drink. Really good beer and the atmosphere outside or inside is really nice. Live music and they played it really well. The prices are not so high and the waiter was really nice and kind. You can pay in euros as well
MoreFriendly waiters, great quality food, very tasty beers and live music from an accordion player. U Supa, you made my stay a wonderful experience.
MoreNice n cozy place .. in-house beer must try, awesome food as well..
