I wanted a nice dinner and the place seems quite fancy. There was almost no one in the restaurant and only one waiter. I ordered a dish of meat, potatoes and wine. The red wine was served iced which it shouldn’t have, the meat was way too greasy and so were the potatoes (just boiled with a liter of oil on top). Would not recommend, really too expensive for this quality.

We had a late lunch here in February. With a group of friends we called around various restaurants in Zagreb: none had place - this one had all the place as we came and were the only one. Food was one of the worst experiences I have had, very salty meats - non cooked pasta etc. A real shame for how the place looks like… please be not tempted by that “magical cave look”.

We only wanted to drink something after having visited the museum, but we were completely ignored by the waiter and after 30 minutes we were asking if we could order a drinke and the waiter said, "no we are full" Thats a joke, because we were sitting on a table and just wanted to order a drink, I didnt feel welcome at all, very disappointing experience!

The place looks great, but it is mostly a facade. The dishes are not innovative and flat in flavor. Risotto is undercooked, the meat is overcooked and all dishes were over-salted. Pretentious restaurant that does not provide a culinary experience as one would expect from the pictures on google.

Bardzo ładny wystrój. Miła obsługa kelnerska, ale nikt nie informuje o tym, że tzw. czekadełko jest płatne. Chleb był czerstwy. Zupy smaczne, ale porcje jak dla dzieci. Są lepsze miejsca. Nie polecam.

At the First time i tried it was amazing. In the second and third times was wonderful! Especially when i have anniversary with my husband, and we having dinner at there. They serve me like a queen. Love it!

Excellent food with great atmosphere !!Small menu, mostly fish/seafood, they also offer steaks, food was delicious, when you have a small menu its usually a sign of quality food.Service was excellent, staff is very friendly and polite.Decent wine selection mostly local wines. The old style brick walls & ceiling combined with live performance of Croatian songs makes for great atmosphere and lovely experience.A charming experience to share with friends and loved ones.

Food was excellent. Space is beautiful but service was no where near what you would expect. They did not check on us for drinks, and change the courses without asking. They cut our ordered wedding cake without any input from us. And we had to yell at bartender to get drinks other than wine. Commubication was poor and this was a wedding reception. Nobody should have to ask for service in such a high end (i.e expensiverestaurant. To end things the food leftovers and cake ( that was ordered elsewhere was not packed or offered to us at the end of the meal. Tldr, food was excellent but service needs a overhaul and to be managed better.

Wonderful place, brilliant seafood. If you are visiting Zagreb you surely must visit Upper Town and when you get hungry you can have a wonderful experience at Stara Vura which is located in beautiful courtyard connected to Zagreb City Museum. The restaurant has a great selection of fresh fish and seafood from Adriatic Sea, wonderful olive oil. Make sure you drink wine, they offer a selection of best Croatian wines and sparkling wine. The prices are acceptable taking in account the exclusive location.

The waitress are very friendly yet professional, the foods are beyond my expectations. As great as it look.The atmosphere are very elegant yet the price is very "friendly" with our pocket.
