Lovely, well maintained park with lots of spots for activities or a picnic. There are plenty of corners to disappear, and lots of space to run.The park also boasts quite a diverse range of play areas for kids and families, and clearly quite some consideration has been made for this. Dig through the park and youll see a toddlers playground, a skatepark, a hedge maze, and more. Lovely to see!If youre picnicking in quieter areas, such as around the reflecting pool, expect ducks, ravens, and crows to come and wait for free food. They shouldnt be fed (especially not bread), but they certainly do try!Sadly the park suffers from a large amount of litter, and as much as the staff are regularly busy taking care of it, its such a shame people come to the park and use it like a dumping ground. There are certainly more than enough bins.

Nice place in the city to have a walk in nature

Perfect place to spend when the weather is fine - park is big, with small lake with ducks, and fish, theres playgrounds : one for toddlers, and the other one for bigger kids, theres also cafe just few steps from it where you can have coffee / ice-cream / beer. Just beside the park theres sport center with football fields, basketball playground, tennis courts, beach volleyball area. Huge free parking just nearby. Park is very well maintained, clean, with lots of interesting trees and flowers.

Nice place for a walk and have some rest. Where you can go for a picknick with family and the children make fun.

Lovely park. Interesting story how it was created. There are ponds, sculptures, benches, a playing area, a café. It seems a relaxing place where to rest, have a stroll, but also do some physical exercises. Although it is still nice during winter, waiting for summer to see the the trees turned green and the flowers bloomed.

The parc is in a bad state, has clearly suffered from neglect by the city and resembles more like a mudpool than a parc

Huge park with a lot of amneties a concrete skate part, 1 synthetic soccer, three soccer grass fields, a trail of about 6km lap for those that love running or walking in open air.

Its nature at its finest, but at this time of year - we might be a little early - its all still very much swampy with lots and lots of dead trees laying around.

Lovely park, great for walking, running, or just spending some time with your family. Well maintained, even in winter. The gates do close after dark, though!

One of the most relaxing and beautiful parcs to go to for a walk, run or relax at one of the cafés. To be recommended during any season !

It is very nice place to be with kids and pets . They have live music and fun activities in the summer . Most of the time it is sponsored by the city. The play ground and the park is also for free. Beautiful place.

The City van Aalst has a"Cetral Park" tha was constructed at the beginning os the second world war.The city of AALST convoked a few hunfded of workers to build the wonderful park in order to keep them from being deported to Germany . the park has a number of romantic ponds and large open spaces, sport infrastrucure and lanes to chill out.In the middle of the park one can find something to eat and drinknin a brasserie " Parkhuisje"
