Peaceful
Prayerful Gods place holy Eucharist
God bless everyone 🙏
The church is conveniently located near to Chinatown lightrail and it is a beautiful modern Catholic church
A Sanctuary in the middle of the City, where one can sit with Jesus Present in the Tabernacle, no difference to the way He is in Heaven, only with His Glory hidden, and you cannot see His Personhood, however it is He, the way in which He has chosen to remain and appear on Earth. Come and visit him in the adoration chapel behind the main altar or at Adoration between 11am and noon each day... He loves us to visit him, just as we love to be visited by our loved ones and share time and conversation together. Another word for conversation is prayer. Then stay for one of the many Masses and be present at the One Sacrifice of Christ 2000 years ago, made present on the altar for this generation, and in the greatest of love, receive Him in Holy Communion, and be gracious enough to let Him receive you, that you and God can become one. And should you need to avail yourself of sins and ask for Gods Mercy, which is yours for the taking, no matter what you have done, Confession is available as well. Check the website for details. Come and be blessed. Come and be loved for who you are, made in the image of God.
Small church. Its near Coles supermarket and near many eateries.
Lovely church , I stumbled accidentally while exploring Sydney CBD. It is right next to Chinatown light rail stop. What a blessing in disguise for those who seek refuge in Jesus after a tiring days work.
This lovely Catholic Church was a lovely find and sweet relief from a busy street in Haymarket. The priest was happy, filled with joy and a wonderful homilist. Daily Mass at 12:10 well attended by locals and visitors too. Adoration before and after mass. There is a great little gift shoppe too!St Peter Julian’s Church was established by the Blessed Sacrament Congregation of priests and brother in 1929, when five priests and two brothers travelled from Canada and the United States to assume the pastoral care of the historic St Francis’ Church in the centre of Melbourne. These members of the French (now internationalreligious order founded in 1856 by St Peter Julian Eymard. The current property was purchased in 1952 and redeveloped to create a monastery and a small city chapel, which was known as the Church of the Blessed Sacrament when opened by Cardinal Norman Gilroy on 30 August 1953. It was recently remodeled in 2009Perpetual adoration of the Blessed Sacrament began at the outset, despite the relatively low number of members of the religious community at that time. The new church was the first in the world to be named after St Peter Julian Eymard, who was canonised in 1962 when construction was under way.St Peter Julian’s Church has grown to be one of Sydney’s best-known and most-loved churches, a place of prayer and peace in the middle of a busy city, where all who pass its doors each day are welcome.
"Let Us Go Rejoicing to the House of the Lord" Ps. The ambivalence created in the Circular Church with the Main Altar in the Middle is Really Surreal. Worth looking at Parish website for the various Sunday Masses said in so many Languages. It really helps 1 understand the "Catholicity" of the R.C Church.
If you are seeking for solemnity, go to this church. I can sit/kneel here for hours and just talk to God and pray.
Church near chinatown light rail station
God is there with his people. You can walk right in from the busy street to peace and tranquility.
The Churchs are open. Jesus is here. Come. Sit. Our Lord is waiting for you.
Beautiful church, why are the rosary beads done cheapily now days, the rosary beads are so small now, I remember when they used to be so big and heavy, will the religious stock in Australia improve it generally doesnt, the rosary beads feel flimsy and weak not the real thing anymore, do you guys sell 13mm crystal clear rosary beads by any chance??? Thanks cheers, I really miss the old fashioned rosar iies especially crystal rosary beads people dont make them anymore, very sad, everything changes!!😭😭😭
This pretty modernist style Church has a long family association.Only recently have the devotional candles been brought back...no confessions as yet... so i will attempt to mend my wicked wicked ways
Very stict covid requirements which is good to see. Beautiful church
Very convenient for mass if you are in the city.A quiet place for time out, or reflection in a busy city
Very solemn church with nice atmosphere.
A contrast to the bustle and noise of George St, St Peter Julians has a lovely welcoming and calming atmosphere. Aside from regular Masses in English and other languages, the church also has lots of times for the Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament.
This is a nice and cosy parish, administered by the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament. It is very accessible and theres a new Light Rail station outside the church. I came here once and interestingly, the church just appeared (or rather popped upin front of me as I was walking and anticipating a standalone building. Once inside, you can expect a quiet and conducive place to pray. There are also many Mass timings on weekends, with Masses celebrated in several Asian languages.
A Catholic Church in Chinatown. There is a Filipino mass being held at the church every first Sunday of the month at 1:30pm.
Modern church... i really love about water foundue for holly water...
Amazingly silent during mass in the middle of Chinatown. Great ceremony today!
In the middle of the CBD Sydney life becomes so busy and hectic and this church is a place of solace and refuge to be feel Gods presence, be part of a faithful community and be in touch of oneself. God is great .
One is at peace with oneself when you enter this place of worship. A place to meditate and reflect; good for ones wellbeing. Coming here weekdays its so calming and tend to leave the noisy confusion outside. A welcoming place for all. Wheelchair friendly and suitable for all ages and backgrounds and beliefs. A beneficial oasis to escape to and have a moment of silence.
A great place to spend quiet time alone or with your loved one.
Felt very peaceful in this church. A lot less distraction and the church is very close to China Town, Pitt Street and St. Mary’s Cathedral. Feeling deeply connected in the busiest part of Sydney is truly blissful.
Strategic location for mass. Nice modern interior. A peaceful and pleasant environment.
I recommend you the morning and the evening prayer, so peaceful, after mass.
Lovely Catholic church in Sydney CBD close to the Chinatown side of the city. Recently undergone renovations which has made this place of worship more appealing
Love being feeling solemn and pray to Him in this church. Beautiful and clean church to visit and can feel His presence when praying.
Very nice place to spend time with the Lord in front of the Blessed Sacrament and Mother Mary. Love the silence, the tranquillity to deeply connected with the Lord in the busiest place In Sydney.
Uncluttered, less distraction, well ventilated, well lit, serene. An excellent place for prayer & holy Communion. International community. Friendly priests.
Very peaceful place to reflect on yourself and pray, very very clean, loved le Saint Sacrement.
Visiting the one holy Catholic apostolic Church why wouldnt you come to see it? I admit saint Marys Cathidral is way more grander and beautiful but if you needed a quite place to go reconciliation, pray and adore the blessed sacrament while on a work break then this is deffinetly the place to go. Amen.
Solemn quiet place that offers solace in the midst of bustling city. For a Catholic, it offers a sanctuary, a quiet place to pray through daily Eucharistic adoration. Daily mass is said. Check the website.
I loved this church. I loved attending Sunday Mass after work.I still love this church, love "some" services. However, now I stopped going to this church, instead, I travel longer after work to St Patrick, Churchill.I have tried to be humble and reassure myself that this can be evils temptations, without success. The issue is, Fr Boris Perlaki is acting too dramatically to successfully distract me rather than allow me to focus on Mass (0330 pm). My friend tried to reassure me "he is too into it, thats why" but for me, he is wasting too much energy for his performance and made me feel like I was there as an audience. Maybe this is his own way to lead our spirits to God. However, if I wanted to be moved/inspired by a performance, Id rather go to the Capitol theatre cross the street or watching an inspring movie.Maybe some people love his dramatic performance but Id rather to see gentle smile, listen sincere welcoming and soak into the Mass.(I removed 2 stars because of this issue. However, generally speaking very good catholic church)
Every 1:30 PM first Sunday of the month, there’s a Filipino Mass and then after that there is a gathering where they serve Filipino food. Lot’s of children so it is unavoidable for them to be loud.
Very nice church and good sermon with the priest.
Small and nice Catholic Church in CBD Sydney
A strategic location catholic church in the middle of Sydney CBD.
The beautiful and peaceful atmosphere inside is starkly contrasted to the busyness of Sydney CBD. It invites prayer, with the help of the sound of holy water from the baptismal font running in the background.
Nicely refurbished Catholic church in the downtown Sydney CBD. Several masses are held here everyday. The church is located within the Chinatown precincts, thus other Asian mass service are also regularly held here, Cantonese, Tagalok, Indonesian, and maybe more.
Diverse, friendly congregation. Swift service less than 60 minuets.
Nice place if your ever visiting Sydney CBD and need to get something off your chest.
Getting modernised and contemporary, a nicely set up Catholic Church with a sense of youth. They have the standard English church mass, in addition with mandarin and Cantonese sessions as well being in Chinatown m
There is neither past nor present nor future for Jesus Christ. This good Father knew us all at the Last Supper. He consecrated, as it were in thought and in desire, all our Hosts; He loved us personally … centuries before we were born. Yes, we were present at the Last Supper, and Jesus stored up for us not one Host but a hundred, a thousand, one for every day of our life.... Our Hosts are ready; let us not lose a single one of them.St. Peter Julian Eymard (1811-1868 A.D.on Daily Communion
Small but very solemn place. Very good architectural design and magnificent interior.
A newly refurb and modern Catholic church. Very quiet and serene
Modern church. Beautiful stained glass windows. Inventive designs of the pilasters and wall lamps. Loved the water fountain and the candle stand. Beautiful design. The white sound of the fountain, along with the stained glass windows, creates a very peaceful, tranquil feeling.
