Counter-serve bakery/cafe chain serving sandwiches, salads & more, known for its bread & free WiFi.
Hadnt been there in a while. Was kind of disappointed to see that my favorites were half the size they used to be and yet double the price? Hadnt even gotten my food and was asked for a tip. Interestingly enough when I went through my bag half of my order was missing. Not impressed.
I have been going to this Panera for awhile now and every time I have been here I have had a bad experience so it’s time for a review. I have had everything from missing items, being over charged, being charged for substitutions when an ingredient is out of stock and I replace it with something else, being charged for items I did not order, and now being disrespected because I went out of a door I Apperently wasn’t supposed to go out of. I exited from the door by the food pick up location and a employee about followed me out the door just to tell me I am not allowed to exit from that door. She was extremely rude about it. And to add to that, there was no sign saying I couldn’t exit through that door. This place needs to get it together.
Food was good, but very expensive. Service was meh.. typical millennials who have no enthusiasm about their job.
Panera is always a good choice for a quick meal or coffee.
The food here is always good. Places usually packed but worth the wait. Its packed because the food and services amazing.
Only had cappuccino but enjoyed the nice quiet atmosphere.
Didnt know what we were getting into but had a good breakfast sandwich and coffee. I dont live here so I probably will not go back.
First time using the drive through. Really nice and convenient. Food was good. I miss not having one closer to me.
they’ve rudely hung up on me 7 times now, and all i did was have a question. Laziness and poor management and work ethic. Panera’s going down hill fast.
Like the self pay and self serve option for coffee on a busy Sunday morning, especially when Starbucks’s lobby is closed
Always tasty food, quickly served. Must grab some cinnamon crunch bagels before leaving.
I love the unlimited sip subscription, and the ease of the rapid pick up process. The only thing that would be nice is if the coffee bar was refilled a little more. All of them were empty when I went in. But they had more out in a jiffy. I come here almost every morning now instead of taking my normal morning detour to starbucks.
Worst panera ive ever been to. Do NOT waste your time trying to come here to work. The wifi is terrible, and there is literally ONE wall outlet in the entire restaurant. On top of that, the bathroom is disgusting.
This store does not meet the standards of what Panera/Bread Co should be. This is one of the most disgusting, unclean establishments I have had the misfortune of visiting. The floors are dirty with trash on them, the moulding/baseboards are coming off the walls, and I had to clean my own table, even though the dining room had maybe 6 guests. The portion sizes have shrunk tremendously as well (Their broccoli mac & cheese now comes in the size of a fast-food side bowl, not even a regular serving dish). Spent $16 to get very little value. Most Paneras are so much nicer, but this one was awful.
I did not eat there I didnt realize it was a Panera Bread thought it was the old Saint Louis bread store. Not a fan of panera anymore. They have gone away from the basics that made them so good
Same fresh & healthy food you find at Panera in other states because its owned by the same company. Not fast but worth the wait.
Today, I was able to get a salad I can’t believe it! This location is almost always out of lettuce. They are so expensive!
Our server Janet was so sweet and loved her customer service! Thank you!
Just went to drive thru. Ordered a pick 2 with a large drink. $18.17. No avocado for my sandwich ( theres a Dierbergs in the parking lot no bread for my soup and not one napkin in the bag. REALLY? For that price I could have gone to Texas Roadhouse and had a steak!! Dont think Ill be back anymore.
Went through the drive-thru this morning and the person working it had so much butter on her teeth with a big smile, hairy arms, and bushy hair alll over the place. Spoiled my appetite. Places really need to consider the people they are hiring to work around food.
This location rarely has the healthier options. At least all the ingredients. Ive been four times and three times they didnt have a menu option.
Absolutely the worst Panera Bread I have ever encountered, and I have given this location many opportunities to change my opinion. My father was a regional manager of Panera Bread in South Carolina and I have worked in multiple cafes helping out. This is the most poorly managed cafe to which I have ever been. They are constantly running out of items by midday: whether it’s them being consistently out of the charged lemonades or iced coffee, out of cups or lids, or even out of ingredients to make some of their best-selling sandwiches, you can always count on this cafe to be out of at least one item you ordered. If you are going to advertise “unlimited sips” then ensure you order enough stock items to provide those sips - this is week 2 of not having large cups or lids! I also have never had a meal made correctly the first time, and I don’t order anything difficult just a sandwich without the aoli on it and each time they have put them on there and when I bring it to the counter the manager has given me grief about it and even suggested I just don’t eat that portion or scrape it off. Today was my last attempt when I sat in the drive thru for over 40 minutes with only three cars in front of me and when I drove to the window, they said I was not enrolled in unlimited sips and that I was mistaken: though I had just utilized it the day prior and it was still present on my app! After the girl at the window gave me a whole false explanation, I finally just gave up! I couldn’t go inside because I had a sleeping child in his car seat and I was not going to wake him for a simple ice coffee. Overall I’m super disappointed in this cafe location and will be driving to Fairview Heights for Panera Bread.
Literally best turkey bacon sandwich evvvvvver! 😍😍
3rd order where no utensils were included in bag. It’s small ask but very inconvenience to have to eat my salad with my hands when I take food back to work. Quality of food isn’t what it used to be either. I notice a lot of the unique ingredients they previously used have been substituted for cheaper ingredients or are missing all together.
I visited for lunch and had a bbq sandwich. The server was extremely helpful and friendly but the sandwich was mostly bread. Honestly I was expecting a little better, but their lemonade selections and the staff were great.
Haha love this place. Especially since they now know who I am when I come in in the morning after work to get my coffee. They are friendly and chatty and always ask how my night went. They really have a great crew.
Would give zero if could. Fly in salad
This BreadCo seems to have piles of pastries every time I go. I love that. And there are great outlet-equipped corners for working while coffee-sipping and scone-munching.
When we ordered. They had us park to have food brought out. They had forgotten a drink we noticed while waiting. Went in and got drink. Went back to hotel. Order was not correct. Called was told to come back and come in ask for remake. I did that we and got some crabby employees. They got erratic when I also told them they forgot a kids chocolate milk I paid for. We dont have any chocolate milk. I said you charged me for one. They said there is white milk. Called hotel and child didnt want that. They offered OJ. That worked. The bagels were not bagged correctly asked for missing bagels to be in plastic bag like original order. Not impressed.
The manager in the pink shirt has a very nasty attitude today. The order was a 208$ order there was no reason for the manager to be so nasty when so much money was spent !!! Please speak with her attitude problem . It isn’t my fault she was backed up
Stopped in to do some computer work. The food came out quickly and was good. Bonus points for the coffee being hot at 3:30. There was plenty of seating and plenty of parking.
This location is close to my besties house and where we generally do our shopping so this is where we typically go, besides the fact that Bestie absolutely LOVES St. Louis Bread Co. It wasnt too busy when we got there but when we were looking for a place to sit, many tables were not clean, so we cleaned the table we wanted. The guy who took our order was super friendly, nice and chatty but he did mess up our order. He recovered however by fixing the order and giving Bestie a free cookie.I like Panera/St. Louis Bread Co. I love the French onion soup and even more when I get it in the bread bowl but this last visit was less than stellar. Im hopeful however that the lack luster service was a one time fluke.
Ja’Kaylah was such a pleasant cashier to work with. She brightened my whole day! Love grabbing a bite here and doing some remote work. It’s the people like her that keep me coming back.
EVERY time I get soup here I get one of THESE. They expect me to stick THIS in my mouth. No thanks.Lesson: DONT GET SOUP HERE!(And just imagine what their other silverware looks like — not to mention their plates, bowls, and cups).Ew.
Fast and courteous service, despite being understaffed. The food was delicious. Pictured in this review is butternut squash soup and a salad that was incredibly tasty and satisfying.
Great place! They are out of a lot of different product including napkins, however it is a vendor and shipment issue...not the stores. The staff does the job of 5 for every 1 and managers are always working positions to help. I am confident they will be back to normal as soon as people are coming back to work. Please be patient and kind with them, or they will end up with less staff from more leaving due to the way they are being treated. Lets all appreciate each other in this world today.❤
This particular location is destined to go out of business (and my review is based on a lot of visits…not a one time experience). I ordered the family meal and the two “large” salads are a joke. It’s often not clean, and today they ran out of napkins. Frustrating because we love this restaurant chain.
I’ve been going here since I was a little girl.. Every employee here is working their 100% best to make your meal happen for you. It’s not the employee’s personal fault that something went wrong. A lot of times, they are understaffed but perform the duties of 20 people when they only have 5. The food is delicious and wonderful and almost all of it hand prepped right when you order it. They can add and remove almost anything and even add stuff not supposed to be on your sandwich, soup, or salad. If you pay for something, and they end up being out, they offer you a refund or a replacement, even sometimes getting twice the value of your original order. The people here put up with a lot but they always greet everyone with love. I can’t think of a better restaurant to call my home restaurant. ❤️❤️ Thanks for the memories!
This is more of an update.I love Breadco and normally it gets a 4+. Atm, though, you might wanna skip it. They are very short staffed, so wait times can take a good amount of time. The drive through is rarely open and they often have problems serving breakfast. With the shortages going on, they also have problems with specific items that seems to change regularly.I will also say that most of the staff are still friendly and helpful. I did get someone who wasnt up to snuff. I bought a loaf of sliced bread and instead of it coming to me looking like a loaf, it kind of looked like a jenga tower that fell over. The pieces were every which way. I didnt complain or anything. Like I said, they are very short staffed and I figure I can deal with it and not take one of the few people working the register away from getting other served. In summary, great place, but you might wanna skip until things settle down a bit. I am curtailing my own visits for a bit also.
Always great food here. Get my order right every time. Only problems Ive had is they didnt have the amount of pastries I ordered so they asked me if I wanted something else. Worked out good. Good management.Keep it up.
Ordered a salad and got a piece of bread that looked like someone had eaten from it. My wife ordered a Capese sandwich and got some pesto sandwich with a rotten tomato. Her salad didnt have any dressing.
What an amazing salad we got from there. Size was great...Only a few issue. One was the avacado still had the outside peel on about 6-7 pieces in mine. And not just small peel pieces. Big enough that you could notice. And we both had chunks of the core of the lettuce in our salads and he had a couple of badly wilted pieces in his.We were traveling back home or I would have taken it back. They have a very nice are for you to order and customize you order right at the front. Great idea but just need some instructions on what to do either right at ordering or right after placing your order. There isnt anything that gives you a clue as what to do.And one of the worst areas is the pick up area. Whe we waited there was a woman in front of us that placed an online order and was there forever. Ended up that someone had taken her order while she was there and left with it. Employee dont ask for verification that the order is yours. Nor do they ask if you have yours after you are standing there still waiting after 30 mins. Need better organization in these areas. But food overall was good. Be careful as backing out of parking spot, as people zoom into this place without paying attention. It is a heavily congested area for drivers.
Staff was friendly and personable. Food was excellent and reasonable amount of time to get it. We had tried to get into a couple of steak places but there was a 45 minute wait at them, so we ended up here and had a great meal fast. Maybe next time, well go here first.
The meat on my Roasted Turkey and Avocado sandwich appeared to be bottom of the barrel scraps that almost looked prechewed. The extremely under rIpe avocado was so hard it was cut into one (inediblechunk instead od slices like Im used to getting. This has always been a favorite sandwich, not so much after todays experience.
The only reason it doesn’t get one star is an employee named Janet who is just the best. Very caring and a joy to be around. Everything else about this location is bad. Including the quality of what you get and the amount of times my order has been screwed up. Latest example being a $12 bowl of nothing.
Savion was so kind, professional, and understanding. The customer service she provided was top notch!! She made a difference in my day and I will be back because of her! Thank u Savion!!!
Hot sandwiches are either burnt or cold. Chicken no noodle broth is what they call chicken noodle soup. Theyre also out of everything and throwing your sides at the drive through window. Employees have horrible customer care. Mcalisters is where I will be going from now on.
Best advice for this place.... Check your order before leaving. Make sure they did not get order wrong, skimp on portion size, or sloppily throw your food together. For the price, you should not have to inspect your meal, but you do here.
Great service and food. Very speedy
Great Caeser salad was delicious today. Also had a cinnamon bagel bread sliced. Delish. Restaurant is kept mostly clean. The new tablet ordering is fine but when theres more than two in your group it can get frustrating.
