London SW1A 2BJ, Dzhetygara
Green space with a lake with daily pelican feeding, a grass-roofed cafe and ceremonial displays.
The park itself is great , very beautiful, although a bit crowded, as expected from a park in such a central area, but the employees there are very rude and the restroom condition is problematic. I tried to use the restroom near the playground, which was active, but for no apparent reason, one of the park employees forbade me from using it. I tried another restroom , which was suddenly closed unexpectedly (eventually I found a restroom in the coffee shop. During my quest the park employees were very rude and yelled at me.
A superb park close to Buckingham palace, Horse Guards parade and Downing Street. There is a long elongated lake full of birds and ducks including pelicans who get fed 2:30pm every day. It can get quite busy particularly at the weekend.
Clean open space with lots of trees, grass, seats, flowers, and friendly park animals. Good space for a picnics and walking dogs. Its close to both St James and Buckingham Palace. There is a restaurant and coffee shops around the park with a functional restroom (card payment only). It is easily accessible too; a walking distance from two train stations: Green Park and St James
Lovely park with a variety of birds and even Flamingos! and a nice pond. Lots of benches around the pond to enjoy the view. The footpaths are wide and good to walk. Overall a nice day out..
Suck a great park with lovely walks in the trees and around the lakes. There are great views of Buckingham Palace and also a gran vista of the London skyline. There are many places to stop and have a hot or cold drink and also an ice cream if you prefer. There is also a place for children to play in the sand. The park is flanked by the Mall and Birdcage Walk and is accessed by a short walk from Victoria Station, Green Park Tube or from Trafalgar Square. The park is a haven in the busy city that is London.
A beautiful open space so close to the heart of London, with many landmarks nearby including Buckingham Palace, Clarence House, St James Palace, The Horse guards parade square with the famous Mall running along one side and the equally beautiful Green Park on the opposite side of the road. Lots to see including the Duck Pond Cottage which is off Swiss design dating back to the 1800s, where the warden off the park once lived, and an enormous selection of flowers from various continents bringing this lush green space to be filled with colour throughout all seasons.
Ive been living in London for the past few years and St Jamess Park has been my favorite spot. I love how it is centrally located, making it easy to pop in for a quick visit or to go on long walks. It is also so close to Buckingham Palace, making it the perfect location for a Sunday picnic.
One of the most beautiful gardens I have ever been. Such an eclectic range of fauna - including ducks, innumerable varieties of pigeon, pelicans and actual black swans
One of my favourite of all the parks in London. It may be small but has plenty to offer. However it can get busy on sunny days. I prefer the autumn time.
It is a treat to visit this park. Very lovely area. With a short walk you can see most of the iconic London sights, such as Buckingham Palace, the Eye and Big Ben.
A lovely park to visit! Ducks, swans and pelicans on the lakes and squirrels feed from your hand. There are also green parrots in the trees and they feed from your hands too. Worth a visit with the family but be advised all dogs have to be on a lead in Royal parks.
Beautiful park full of nature, very big. One of my favourite London parks any time of the year. The wildlife is friendly and very active, the park cafe is very nice to take in the scenery.
Had a great day visiting London yesterday. This was one of the places that I paid a visit to. Lovely relaxed area for a walk between areas. Wildlife is amazing and they all come upto you whilst walking around.Lots of little cafes around that offer a variety of food and drinks.Lots of benches, but if you cant find one just relax on the grass and watch the wildlife around you come upto you.
It still remains one of my favorite park... Always love to go there. It is good to have a picnic... to walk around the park... Close to the underground station, Buckingham Palace, a short walk to Trafalgar Square... Big Ben... Good for all ages...
The St. James’s Park was beautiful and relaxing to take a walk in right after lunch. The landscape seemed very traditional and classy to me. I loved all the views from the park, and it’s very close to the major touring spots in London. Definitely will come back for more walks.
I love going to parks and this was my first time in London. This park is big, very green and with animals(ducks or whateverwhich makes everything more interesting. I would love to go there for walks or picnics if I lived in London. Looks a very comfy place to go with the family or friends for whatever programs in a sunny day
Such a beautiful park with great selection of birds and nice areas to sit and enjoy the atmosphere. I love the amount of benches and greenery and the park itself have couple of shops that you can buy drinks and food so it is very convenient.
This is one of my favourite places to visit when I go to London, you can enjoy the peace and tranquility of the park with great views, yet your only a stones throw away from Buckingham Palace, the Churchill War rooms and the hustle and bustle of Westminster.
A beautiful large park where you can stroll around, jog, or relax under the shade on the grass. There are many paths for a walk. A large playground for kids. And a large pond where ducks, white and black swans wander around. Nearest underground train is St James Park. There are also kiosks scattered around selling drinks, ice cream and snacks.
One of the loveliest royal parks around London, its a great stop between Westminster & Buckingham palace. You have a coffee in the middle of the park and also ice cream stations and soft drinks. Its accessible for wheelchairs and you can hire seats to relax on the grass
Fabulous park. We came here for picnic today noon. Toilet is available at park cafe. Deck chair is available to rent. Or you can bring your own mat for free.
A fantastic park which is a great place to go for a walk in central London. There is a large amount of green space which people can enjoy on sunny days and there are plenty of trees and water which allow for some great birdwatching.
This is my favourite park in London. Not only because of its gorgeous setting with the lake, but also because it’s quieter than Green Park and Hyde park. Love the birds too, particularly the pelicans (I think I must take pictures of them every time I go!).
Visited London couple of days after platinum pageant, the dismantling of seating area by the Victoria monument was still in progress but everywhere clean and tidy. Park was clean and tidy and looked lovely - added bonus was seeing Horse Guards Parade with a ceremony taking place (couldnt find out what it was though)
Beautiful Park. Very ideal for a good walk and in perfect location close to lots of points of interest. The ducks and swans in the ponds are fun to watch, the air is fresh here and it’s just a perfect park.
Beautiful park to walk through from or towards Buckingham Palace. Easy to stop by as its near Big Ben as well. Very serene and calm! Worth a stroll if youre doing any of these sights.
One of my favourite places in London. In fact, got engaged there. It’s a wonderful detachment from what you think London might be. This, and Green Park across the Mall are great to dive into if the masses are getting just too much for you. Yes, it’s still busy but there is so much open space. Don’t forget to see the pelicans and be respectful of the birds as they pass by you, nipping at your picnic.
A beautifully laid out park. A great place to chill after the Palace tour. The squirrel are pretty bold and will come upto you for nibbles. The idyllic lake has some beautiful and unusual birds like the black Swan, the
My best and most favourite park in whole London. You can find there plenty of different bird species (parrots will eat from your hand and you can observe pelicans and black swans), squirrels (that you can feed and they will eat from your hand), and other animals. So take some animal food before going there (seeds, nuts, bread, etcand it will create even more memories for you!
Its a wonderful park in the midst of Londons busy atmosphere. Although it was busy there is plenty of space. I dont think cyclists should cycle on the paths or police drive their cars on the paths. The wildlife is fascinating to watch, but dog owners should keep dogs on leads or under control in the park.My visit was during the Queens jubilee preparations and a whole load of preparation and activity was going on around us.
Peaceful park full of wildlife that get up close and personal. Lots of areas for kids to run or for older ones to picnic.Fun for all.
Nice Park to stroll through after Buckingham Palace and enjoy flowers (at spring /summer), birds and squirrels. Watch for the blue bridge and a story about the Pagoda that got burned by fire many many years ago.
I had an amazing experience. The swans are beautiful. The lake is so nice. Id love to go there every day. Its a small park but very beautiful. There are information boards about the animals. The park is clean and well kept. There are a lot of benches so youll always find a place to seat.
Beautiful park for a sunny day out with friends! The park is right in front of Buckingham palace. Small but very pretty and lively with ducks, swans, and squirrels. You can even see a glimpse of the London eye from here.
Beautiful park in the center of London with plenty of nice walkways and relaxing atmosphere. There are plenty of ducks, pelicans and of course the “famous” friendly squirrels. The perfect place to take a break and relax while walking around London.
One of the best in size and well maintained parks if London, plenty of things to check in and around it. Although make sure you take a bottle of water with you as inside there is only a few overpriced option otherwise. You can rest in the grass and enjoy wildlife. And plan your journey to near by place in peace.
A beautiful place within the heart of the city of London. For children it would be delightful to watch the ducklings play in the pond. A classic view of the area around it and the flower gardens. Public toilets are also accessible at 20p. Sit on the grass and relax on your holiday and visit the statues and memorials around it.
A stunning park that can gets very busy that said its huge. Lots of grass space to sit relax or picnic. The flower beds are beautiful lots of wild life to see on and off the lake. Large cafe near to the lake. Good paths very easy walking for all abilities pushchair and wheelchair friendly.
Beautiful park at prime location, in central of London, and in middle of all main tourist attraction such as Big Ben and Buckingham Palace. A must visit, especially during fall (autumnand spring but can be visited all year round. The park may seem small on the map but the size is decent that you can enjoy walking, jogging and sightseeing here. Highly recommended for a break to get from fresh air in central London.
A beautiful park in central London near Buckingham Palace. A great place to walk after breakfast or lunch, just to get away from the crowds and noise of the city.
Beautiful park with lots of gorgeous views. The borders with plants are so nicely arranged, everything in the park is tidy (no litter on the ground etc). A lot of wildlife feeling comfortable next to the visitors - parrots, gooses, swans, ducks, squirrels. Great playground for children. Nice place to visit.
Lovely park lots of nature around including Green ringneck parakeets, squirrels, swans and different kinds of ducks. Nice refreshment bars to get snacks, cakes, hot and cold drinks and ice cream too.
St James’s Park is one of the Royal Parks of London and also one of the most beautiful parks in London. It is just right next to Green Park, Buckingham Palace, Downing street. There is a lake full of ducks, swans, pelicans which makes it so joyful and lively in the middle of our hustle and bustle London. When spring comes , the park is full of daffodils and cherry blossoms in March and April.
I love st James park, situated so centrally it’s easy to go for a quick walk through. I love seeing all the different animals and the blossom trees are beautiful.Stroll through with a coffee from one of the convenient coffee stands and soak up the views and London.
A small but beautiful park right outside Buckingham Palace. Plenty of birds and squirrels so fun for younger children. A cafe and a coffee kiosk are offering refreshments.
The Park is very closed to the Westminster Bridge. There is a café called “Cafe at storey’s gate” at the entrance. My oat Latte wasn’t that bad at all and you may also sit outside the cafe house. This is a very beautiful park. To my surprise, there are some cherry blossoms🌸 near the entrance in mid February. Trees are tall and branches are nice as well. It’s wonderful to see lots of animals there.
It is a beautiful park. Nice walkways and beautiful nature. There were pelicans in the summer and some green birds and of course squirrels. There is also a coffe shop place that you can find some food and beverages. They have outdoor seating too. There are toilets in the park as well.
One of my favorite Royal parks in London. During the summer it’s covered with colorful flowers, squirrels and pelicans. Impressive views to the Buckingham Palace. During the winter it keeps a magical atmosphere and lights up in the evenings with the London Eye reflecting on the ponds. Wonderful option to visit between Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace for a picnic
A lovely walk. Im not a biggest fan of birds, but strolling through the park and checking out different species sure was fun. It is great for a run or a bike ride too. Perfect for a weekend mini picnic.
Incredible park in South London. Right next to Buckingham Palace, and with excellent transport links, I would recommend this to anyone. The wildlife is incredibly diverse, with many rare species of duck. They also have Pelicans, which cannot be found anywhere else in the wild in the UK. The birds are extremely tame as well, which is an added bonus. There are a number of cafes, and toilet facilities. This is an excellent place to go to relax or to just see some rare ducks. Just go.
