Great historic facility

Beautiful historic church. Even if you arent Catholic its worth a visit to see inside. The artwork on the ceiling is exquisite!The people here were very friendly and welcome. The priest, Father Hightower gave an inspiring sermon and hes very engaging.

Built in 1898, the interior contains icons of saints painted by an Italian Jesuit in 1900. The paintings ate on the walls and ceiling. The colors are rich and the detail is magnificent. The churchs interior is beautiful wood. The entire experience is warm and tranquil, speaking to the fruits of dedicated lives.

Regardless of how you feel about religion the architecture of this building is a wonderful thing. Adorned with small statues and plenty of carving work this building is worth a visit.

Wonderful Christmas (EveMass! The Priests message was warm and inclusive and didnt get into the weeds. I appreciate this. My girlfriend is not Catholic and felt very comfortable and included. This is important to me. The Church was beautiful and quaint (compared to the large Cathedral Im used to). Beautiful paintings within and the service well respected the Covid guidelines. 5 star mass and when I move here I will be a regular.

This building is absolutely beautiful. Its in the city of Butte, MT. They have quite a few beautiful buildings here actually.

I love this church. I am not from Missoula so this is only the second time I have been here, but the church is gorgeous and the people are friendly. I would love to go to adoration here!

I felt so completely welcome and comfortable when I came to the church. I spoke with a wonderful priest that really listened attentively to me. It was a comfort to know that there was somewhere to go to get the support I deeply needed. Thank you!!

St. Francis Xavier has been my home parish since I moved to Missoula last year. I have found the parish staff and the parishioners to be welcoming to new members and visitors. The parish is active in the community in many ways. Its a joy to attend Mass here each week. Thank you!

Cathedral style structure on a smaller scale. Decorated with Gesu styled paintings and stained glass. Jesuit pastor. Good mix of parishioners, Young, Middle Aged and Senior. Definitely feels like it has some history in the area.

Greeted kindly, only one member has approached me and asked me my name. Didnt see her this morning. New to the area and this morning was my 4th visit. Of course Im going back there because I feel safe and comfortable.

This is such a wonderful church. I was honored with a treat by lectoring. Nice people and the priest, Fr. Rich Perry, was wonderful.

Attended a mass here while visiting Montana for a week. Inside is beautiful and the fellow churchgoers were very welcoming.

It looks really nice from outside; it was in renovation, so no inside access.

St Francis Xavier Catholic Church is a vibrant faith enriched community. The parishioners are a wide diverse group supporting the true mission of Jesus. Physically in the church you see the hand of God in the beautiful frescoes and structure of this historic Catholic church. Visit and be awed by what the Holy Spirit can create through man.

Beautiful stained glass and large murals. Im no longer Catholic or religious but went to midnight mass. Theyve changed some of the words but I enjoyed singing with the congregation very much.
