Tasty food for reasonable price. Like their poori. Not recommend to dine in and therefore recommend for take aways..
One of the best Indian Cuisine in the area. Friendly Service and reasonable pricing.
Excellent South Indian Dishes as Indian Taste available at affordable price.. must visit once
Good restaurant with vegetarian foods. However, masala chai to be served in a way of decent mannar. Tray of the chai is with poured teaπ€π€π€.Toilet, bathroom standard to be uplifted.Parking at the restaurant is limmited and large scale parking area is available 200 metres away from the location.
Itβs a great experience. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. Amazing vegetarian food and service. Staff are extremely knowledgeable and make great recommendations.
The masala thosa and paper thosa was nice and tasty, but the stuffed parota , I did not like it, it was not bad. Depends on others tastes. Reasonable food. Its better if they can have the exact pictures of the food, for people to view and when its ulundu wada and pani poori, better mention if the price is for each or for how may, coz its mentioned as 280 for ulundu wada, but not sure if its 1 or 2.Suggest they give specific details in the price list.
Showing as a authentic class restaurant, but serving is poor. They serve parcel in a cover for sweets. Worst way to parcel. Ive took sweets for Rs.600, they gave me in simple plastic cover.... Never expect this.....
Available good vegetarian delicious foods. Provide excellent service with nice environment. Friendly people available.
Tried their paper masala and paneer dosai(lkr 340and the paper paneer dosai(lkr 260). Both dosai tasted good. It was served warm and the dosai was thin and crisp. A dhal curry was served instead of sambar. Had a mango lassi which also tasted good and it was thick and creamy. The ulundu vadia was tasty too.
One of the amazing vegetarian Indian restaurant in Colombo. The menu consists of many dishes and varieties, and the prices are significantly better compared to other high-end vegetarian restaurants.
One of the BEST Places in SL, for Indian food. Im Highly recommending this restaurant to anyone who loves indian food and sweets. Superb Staff!
Very bad service . Very Expensive and quality of food is very low. They costs one dosa 250/= in addiction the thickness of those dosa is very low. Plain dosa are like hopper or paper dosa parts. Not cost worthy .
Very tasty authentic Indian vegetarian food! The naan bread was also very nice and chewy! Prices very reasonable, will definitely be back! :)
Great value for money, however the quality of the food is not consistent: On crowded days the food isnt great, but when there isnt a crowd its delicious. Good place for a quick meal or snack.
One of the authentic vegetarian Indian food restaurant. Busy as always especially on weekends. So, parking and finding a seating place inside the restaurant is challenging. Tasty as always and good in quality. Highly recommended.
Great place. Pure veggie restaurant. Famous among young and old crowd. Friendly staff. Parking available right at the front. One more car park available right next to the restaurant.
I ordered two things and they give me three and i had to pay that one also. They said they cant return it. So it was not my fault. But i have to pay for it. Foods are good. But parking and there management not good. π
Super delicious pure vegetarian authentic Indian foods available. Size of the portion is sufficient for two people. Price is very reasonable. Staff also very efficient. We purchased biriyani and mishroom rice.Among them, biriyani is the best..β₯οΈ
We went for lunch today to Sri Vihar restaurant in Thummullah Junction and ordered naans and Paneer butter Masala and Chilli Paneer.. the food was terrible where the Paneer butter Masala had curry powder which was not cooked properly and instead of chilli Paneer, they gave me Paneer curry with the curry for mushroom... even when we complained, there was no response from the manager and the worst thing is that they were ignoring us for complaining... we ordered chocolate milkshake and sweet lassi at the beginning and they wouldnt give us that because we complained and after asking for it 3 times... we felt that they could have spit into the drinks so we didnt even touch them ... even the bill was late to come and they charged for everything even though we hardly ate anything... just paid 5000 and asked the manager to give the tips to the owner of the business... its definitely old curry that they are serving when its left over from previous night and I am still having stomach aches and digestion problem... I WILL NEVER EVER GO TO THIS RESTAURANT AGAIN !!! PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE !!!
The food is delicious.I think there are more 100 types of food. They serve free hot water. Includes desserts and drinks including coke. Good customer service responds quickly. Best place eat Indian food in Sri lanka
Used to be good, but pretty bad as of recently. Overpriced and doesnt meet the standards for the price. Ordered Cashew Rava Dosa and it had so much cumin seeds in it, that it was uneatable.
Sri Vihar is one if the best places to eat authentic indian vegetarian food. Large variety of Dosas available dont forget to tryout mushroom curry. expensive than before but can manage with Rs.1000 pp at the time of the review
Good food and good service... lunchtime service was great. Was served withing 15 minutes... thali porstions was enough for and adult... prices has been increase recently but still value for money...
The food is delicious but, in terms of quality its a bit questionable. I bought panneer, butter naan, chickpea curry and ulundu wadei, the panneer had a few small pieces of panneer, the rest was okay. The kitchen itself doesnt really look sanitary, I noticed that none of the kitchen staff wore hair nets or gloves and saw the naan being touched bare handedly by a helper (red flags considering the pandemic and other obvious health reasons.)The service was good, the atmosphere in the restaurant was okay too, very homey. The sweets are a must try (got it as take awayThe peda, the range or barfi and the laddo is to die for π©
Best vegetarian restaurant in Colombo. great hospitality and services. Nice environment for relaxing and enjoyable. I love the taste of Vade, Parata and Tofu Tikka Masala the best combination for all the time. Available all kinds of pure vegetable foods at affordable prices. Especially milk lassy is superb taste. Bit rush at weekends for Parking. Overall, a great restaurant. Take away facility also available. Highly recommended for food lovers.
We tried their North indian Thali and Masala Dosa. Both were really good. Panneer butter masala was filled with food colouring, so better avoid it. Except that, the food was really yummy. Their milk coffee is a must try. Staff were really friendly. Our order got little delayed as it was overcrowded. Very good place if you wish to try pure vegetarian meal.
Its a pure vegetarian Indian food restaurant in Colombo. It provides authentic delicious foods and fresh juices at a reasonable price. Suitable even for family gatherings. Its spacious inside. But it would be difficult to find a parking space during rush hours. The lassi drink is so delicious and refreshing. Highly recommended.
You must try their fried rice and kottu. Full Veg indian restaurant in Sri Lanka and provides fresh and tasty food. Lovely staff and a popular dining place of many within and outside Colombo city. Highly recommended.
A great place to have an authentic south Indian meal. You can get almost any South Indian food here. Recommend for families. The prices are fair. The only downside of this is, theres usually a wait. A longer one specially when its a take out. Other than that can recommend for anyone. Food tastes really good.
Went for lunch after a very long time to Sri Vihar. We ordered paneer butter Masala, 3 butter naan and two Uludu wade.I used to come here with my dad when I was kid. A lot has changed.Quality of the food has gone down.As you can see in the pictures I have taken a picture of my fingers they have added food colouring π€·π½ββοΈ and this is after washing twice. Really disappointing. The paneer butter masala didnβt look or test like a paneer butter masala. The naan was good.So sad I wonβt come back here again or recommend the place.
Good place to have indian food for a average price and they only serve vegetarian food. There is a wide range of food and special biriyani must be mentioned as it was so good. Place is always crowded and the staff is doing a decent job to manage. Food was served quickly (within like 10 minutes). The only minus point is their washroom which is bit dirty and not cleaned well.
Its my 3rd visit. The food is fantastic just the service is abit slow. But worth for their thali and dose dishes and vadai.Love it.
Authentic Indian food for reasonable price
Best food π₯Ίβ€ good service β€ if you want try Tamil Food β€ go
This place truly deserves 5 stars. Top quality tasty food with very reasonable prices. If someones looking for a high quality meal for a small budget this is the place ππ½
Great stuff. Absolutely enjoyed the food. Have a wide range of meal, which most of the other Indian cuisines doesnt offer. Staff is really friendly and always willing to help - helped us choose the best dish in our case. Can be really crowded around lunch time, quite calm and relaxing otherwise. The only issue I find is the lack of cleanliness. So 4 stars
One of the good place in Colombo to have vege meals, snacks and desserts. Prices are moderate. Their Sri Vihaar special biriyani and fried rice are good in taste. They add more cauliflower, panner and mushroom to create more value. Milkshake was not that much tasty. Their dosa is also good. No air conditioner. Customer service has to be improved.
Authentic delicious food that instantly transports you to India! With their simplistic plates and almost utilitarian presentation does not in any way mask the absolutely gorgeous and authentic flavours.Their food is reasonably priced and the portion sizes are superb! A lovely vegetarian experience.
I ordered Kaju Onion Rava Dosai and a Chocolate Lassi. Dosai was tasty and the price was okay. Not satisfied with the cleanliness when compared to other restaurants in the neighborhood. Staff was friendly. The place used to be much better in 2019 and would have definitely given a 5 star back then.
Pure vegetarian Indian restaurant in Colombo. Food is so yummy. Reasonable prices. Suitable for every one. Location is ideal but difficult to park in rush times. We ordered samosas it was so yummy and the sauce they give with it is awesome. It is sweet and spicy mix and it is so delicious. Highly recommend.
Food are delicious. But place is not much neat.
Best vegetarian food for.... great hospitality and services. Nice environment for relaxing and enjoyable. I love the taste of vada and paroda the best combination for breakfast. Available all kind of pure vegetable foods with affordable prices. Especially milk is superbπ. Great restaurant.
THE TASTIEST POORI IN TOWN π― Highly recommend for anyone who is craving for Indian cuisine. They offer a variety of original south indian and north indian dishes. If you are a dosai fan, this restaurant has over 30 varieties of different kinds of dosai, you name it. Per person cost was less than 500/= and the meals are pretty decent for the price you pay.
Vegetarian Food restaurant located near thummulla junction. Tasty food and lot of varieties of vegetarian food is available there. Limited parking space available for vehicles. Price is bit higher compared with other places. Need to improve their customer service more when serving the food. Recommended for all the vegetarian food lovers.
Very nice vegetarian restaurant for great Indian meals and cuisines. They offer both south Indian and north Indian foods on affordable price. Visited there for Friday lunch and was heavily crowded. Waiting time was little high so Expect delays during peak times. Considering the quality and taste Overall it was a good experience.
Reasonably priced tasty Indian vegetarian food. Expect delays during peak times. There used to be an A/C restaurant (at first floorwhich is currently closed. Few parking slots available on-site, but more parking available about 100m away. Always re-confirm your order with the waiter, as there can be miscommunications during rush hours. Overall Sri Vihar is a must dining for any lover of Indian food.
Air conditioned restaurant in first floor exceed our expectations.Ambience was great.Food pricing is moderate.Starter mushroom 65 was mouth watering. Sri special fried rice, aloo parata , mushroom butter masala sizzled the taste buds.Friendly staff helps to find the best collection for you.Parking available in front of the restaurant and nearby parking area too.
This restaurant is full vegetarian. When you talk about the quality of food, food is great and the prices also reasonable cheapπ few parking slots available in front of the shop. Its open on the poya day also π onion dosa is really great π the service is great π Recommended π
Good quality food. Waiting time is reasonable. Some food is served freshly cooked & some are not. There is a comfortable AC restaurant upstairs of the building. Polite and friendly staff.Good restaurant for vegetarians.
