Squires Coffee Shop - Coffee shop in Yelets, Russia
Lovely place service was good, they e ven let me I a bit earlier as it was raining..
Sweet little Tea Room ,pleasent staff, serving light meals /cakes etc.
Very busy this lunchtime but we were seated almost straight away. Despite how busy the staff were we were attended to promptly and our coffee arrived in no time at all. I ordered a Chicken, Brie & Cranberry Panini which again was served much quicker than I expected (especially after reading previous reviews complaining about the level of servicethe staff were attentive and polite. I liked it here and will return and I would recommend, theres a wide range of food on the menu at a reasonable price.
Staff too busy talking to serve customers. Cafe was empty but we waited ages to be served. Toast was over cooked. Cappuccino was more like a latte. Nicer places with politer staff elsewhere.
What is prity and lovely little coffee shop does everything you require lovely staff great coffee food lovely as well cant fault the place will visit again
Very popular. Very nice staff. Sandwiches, salad and coleslaw all delicious. A bit warm in humid weather.
Food was OK, the prawns in my wifes sandwich were a bit dry and chewy, so not so nice.Service was pleasant just a bit inattentive, on the whole I doubt we would go back
I’ve always had great food and service at this little venue!
Old fashioned tea shop. A quiet place to drop in for a cuppa and maybe a slice of cake.I like their quiche.Friendly, efficient service.I like it here.
Lovely relaxing atmosphere all food freshly prepared
Great food, great serviceFriendly staffKids welcomeA perfect little cafe in the heart of RayleighFood quality is very good
Great selection of dishes, friendly service and top value.
Love this little gem in Rayleigh great selection of coffee and tea with lovely staff always make you welcome. Food pretty good as well 😋
Lovely well established coffee shop. Good tea and coffee, decent meals and snacks. Can get busy.
Ok I suppose if you want food but dont go if youre two OAP at 11am and only want a coffee, we were more or less turned away and had to find somewhere else. Shame on you. 11am isnt exactly lunchtime and we wouldnt have been there long.
Just popped in for a coffee. Lovely venue. Had to wait a while to have order taken ( not great when you have a toddler itching to movebut otherwise couldnt fault it.
Great breakfast and amazing coffee. Friendly service would recommend
My husband and I visited Squires today and had breakfast with avocado 🥑 and poached eggs. Oh my goodness these ladies in the kitchen sure know how to serve a wonderful poached egg. The staff are lovely and friendly and when under pressure if they are busy still have a great outlook. Well done ladies you rule 👍
Lovely quaint coffee shop, food is good, large selection of teas and coffees. Staff friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend for breakfast or lunch.
Great experience. Went with my 1 year old, staff were welcoming. They offer kids sandwiches- with chips, drink and fruit for about £3/4.Food was lovely
I had a full English breakfast which was really tasty. Great service and a safe place to take a rest from shopping.
Coffee and cake were delicious, staff were pleasant, friendly and polite, surroundings were tudor style and appeared freshly decorated (probably during lock down), place was clean and tidy as always. Would recommend.
Really busy on a Friday afternoon. Afternoon tea requires a minimum of two people which is a shame (as I didnt get to have it!I enjoyed a really lovely "cream tea" (scone with cream and jam, charged extra for the teaand mum had a toastie. They offer a range of cakes too. Customer toilet on site with baby changing facilities.
Brilliant, lovely afternoon tea with friends on my 78 th birthday, a great selection of teas.Happy, helpful staff, will go again, soon.
This place is a hidden gem! My friend and I went for a birthday celebration, we had the afternoon tea (with lots of coffeeand prosecco! Gorgeous setting, the food was absolutely delicious, fresh and homemade, they took the time to check exactly what we would like in the afternoon tea rather than just a completely set menu, which is great! The range of coffees was impressive and definitely worth trying a few different ones. Staff were helpful and friendly, a relaxed atmosphere, we would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting this area, a must visit for coffee/tea lovers!
Food was delicious. Staff were lovely. Very busy. Very small place. Just managed to get my wheelchair through the door.
I have just had my first delivery of afternoon tea from Squires . From the moment I ordered it, the experience was brilliant. Friendly and easy to understand ordering and nothing was too much trouble. When our tea arrived it was delicious. Beautiful, tasty sandwiches, fresh scones with butter, jam and clotted cream and a selection of lovely cakes. I cannot recommend it enough. Thank you so much Squires- can’t wait for our next one.
Just had take away afternoon tea for four and it was delicious. They also made the sandwiches how my kids like them especially for them. It was already boxed up beautifully ready for collection.
Just finished up my home delivered afternoon tea! Best one in the area I’ve had!! Wow wow wow :so many choices and the guy that delivered and took the call was a darling. Will defo order again!! :)
Dont not visit here, this is just my opinion. It was just OK. Staff polite. Food OK. I suppose for me personally it lacked ambiance. It reminded me of a tired old cafe. I was sitting where you had full view of the kitchen which again looked old and tired. All the tea caddys and coffee tins sitting on shelves looked old and in need of refreshing. Sorry just didnt do anything for me but know lots of people do like it there. xxx
Extremely disappointing. When we arrived we were the only customers. We ordered hot drinks, toasted tea cake and crumpets. The drinks arrived,my coffee was lukewarm. We had to wait almost 15 minutes for the rest of our order. My crumpets were barely toasted,in fact the 2nd one was so underdone and floppy it fell to the floor. Cost £11.95!! We will not be recommending or returning. Very poor service.
On Tuesday 13th October we again visited Squires to have afternoon tea for the 1st time. It was lovely and yet again the staff couldnt have been more pleasant and accommodating. Highly reccommend. Ty for a lovely afternoon.
Excellent food , superb choice of teas and coffees. Helpful friendly and polite staff. I had the eggs benedict and apple cake with cream and it was absolutely delicious and very good value. Would definitely recommend this pleasant coffee shop
I had chicken bacon and Stilton panini.Wife had chicken bacon and brie panini. It was very nice. The staff work hard to keep everything clean. Just some people need to read the sign and be patient when entering.
We visited on 12th September 2020, and the service, social distancing and food was good. The waitress took our contact details for Track and Trace, but I was disappointed that waiting staff did not wear masks, for their own safety, if nothing else. I realise they do not have to at the moment, according to the Government Guidelines. However, I noticed the table next to us was not wiped down between customers, so I wondered if this was common practice. The toilets were dirty, there were no hand towels, and no toilet roll in the holder. On speaking to the Manager, we received an argumentative response, and no apology. We were told that there were toilet rolls up on the shelf, and there was a hand dryer. Hand dryers are not advisable at the moment, but it wasnt working very well anyway.
Only given three stars as although coffee and place is lovely, one of the staff, possibly the manager was very rude. He hovered over us as he clearly wanted us to drink up and leave as there was a queue at the door. He kept walking past and nearly grabbed my cup before I had finished. We felt very uncomfortable so drank up quickly and went up to pay whereby he huffed and puffed as we split the bill! We may not have been last of the big spenders today but still would have liked to be made to feel more welcome. A pity!
If you like good coffee or good tea this is the place to come. If you like flavoured milk search for somewhere else. The food quality and choice is excellent and is cooked to order. Very lucky to have this in our high street to augment the others.
Been here a few times with my mother and grandmother. The chicken wrap was delicious; very much home style. My mother did get ill off the milk as it definitely was not refrigerated. We were a bit bothered by the fact one of the employees admitted to microwaving various items on the menu.
Nice place for a lunch if you can get a table as very popular. There is a lot of choice on the menu catering for everyone. I had a jacket potato and was happy with my choice.
Always good cooked to order. Unique surroundings. Excellent value for money.
Coffee is delicious. Service was great. Food is awesome. I didnt like fellow the patrons though, Im keeping the reasons to myself as its purely subjective. Lets just say its not quite my crowd. For passing tourists its definitely an authentic place to visit.
Enjoyed this place, its quaint and comfortable. Very good selection of coffee from all over the world, mine was just the breakfast blend and it was very good. Food was also very good again with a great selection and generous portions. Staff are friendly, efficient and helpful. This will be a regular place for me to visit.
Place is an absolute shambles. Have tried to eat here three times now after moving into the area. The Service is the slowest I have ever received and it seems to be difficult to get an order that is hot and actually correct.Tried to eat here for lunch today (for the final time I might addand we waited 40 minutes for our order. I understand at lunch times you might be busy but to wait this long for some scrambled eggs on toast I thought was an absolute joke! I could of travelled home and cooked the same in less than half this time. Toast was cold and was brown bread which is not what was ordered. I wouldnt even expect to receive this service in Restaurant let alone a small cafe.Think you need to look at how to train your staff to make sure you have top service and are able to turn around tables in a timely fashion!
Came with my family yesterday to this coffee shop, it was very busy which looks a good thing. We found a table and Sat down. We were served quickly and was all ok until my coffee tasted really week. I went up to see if they can do something to make it stronger and was spoken very abruptly by I think was the manager or owner. On a couple of occasions whilst we was their, we felt very uncomfortable by him even at the end when paying. To the point that I actually asked him if he was ok. The food was very good but am a bit put off going back as didnt feel very friendly and poor customer service.
Lovely home made cakes and scones. Good variety. Paninis and sandwiches made to order. Again a good variety. Specialist teas and coffee available. Excellent service but rather expensive. Good place to meet friends but not for a cheap lunch.
A very quaint, Tudor-beam property that really looks the part of an olde English tearoom. It is bright and airy, cool and welcoming. There is a full range of breakfast, brunch and afternoon tea options. There is an impressive range of coffees and teas to choose from.I went for late breakfast and found the food OK. Eggs benedict was a little off the mark with overcooked eggs and greasy hollandaise. A sausage sandwich was fine if unremarkable. The coffee was excellent but a finer grind would offer more flavour. It was good if underwhelming, however I would like to try their afternoon tea - very reasonable at £27.95 for two.
The breakfast was terrible with hard to chew or cut vegie sausages, tinned baked beans and mashroom. I think they did not cook anything fresh except eggs. This shop used to be famous for selection of teas, but the quality seems to be getting worse over the years. We saw a couple leaving because of not being served in time.
Always a busy venue and often hard to get a table but always worth a wait. Cant book a table. Good home cooked food and proper coffee in cafetieres with a great selection of beans, and also teas. Great cakes too!
I popped into this tea room during the week I had to wait about 10mins before I could get a table so very busy good I thought it must be popular. Once seated I noticed that the chairs and carpet looked very dirty looked like the whoe place could do with a make over, after a wait of about 6mins the lady turned up with menus and took our drinks order she was very friendly and polite then about 5mins later she came back and took our food order again very polite and efficient. We sat back enjoyed our tea and coffee. I was very surprised at how busy this little shop was and how quick and efficient the staff where but noticed how stressed they looked maybe need more staff to cater for the large numbers of people coming into the shop. Our food arrived and was OK. Not sure if I would rush back there as there are lots of cleaner looking shops in Rayleigh to eat in.
Traditional tearoom with bay windows looking out onto the high street.Excellent range of loose leaf teas and freshly ground coffee (no antipodean style flat white here though).Very good range of breakfast (served all dayand lunch options for around £7,including eggs royale, quiche of the day, jacket potatoes and salads.Range of cakes too.Limited disabled access, very slight step /slope for entry, but narrow doorway.
