Everything was very good.

Food was great especially for take out order, the host had terrible customer service. I’m not from Philadelphia. I stood at the front behind someone esle waiting to ask about my order she never acknowledged our presence. She carried on a conversation as if we weren’t standing there. I think the residents of Philadelphia have no hospitality. This restaurant is in proximity of hotels. Everyone who comes in is not a local there is no situational awareness in the customer service. After 5 mins I had to interrupt the conversation & still she didn’t see me. This was Sunday 9/11 approx 10:11-10:18

Excellent seafood. Crab cakes were the best Ive had. Prices are reasonable. Friendly staff. Worth the wait!

The food was just "good enough" but nothing special to write home about. The service was okay. We heard about the specials by overhearing another server mention them at a neighboring table, but already after we ordered. The gnocchi definitely needs something like lemon juice. The Steak Au Poivre was pretty good, but the sweet potato side was pretty bland and the asparagus wasnt snapped correctly, so most of them had the inedible tough ends.

1682 is one of my favorite hotel restaurants. Consistently great food and wonderful service (thanks Alex!). Looking forward to my next visit.

We opted for the specials - a whole branzino and the cut of the day (flank steak). The meals were good, though the pricing is a bit high - youre paying for the fancy setting. To be clear (which wasnt the case with us before arriving and sitting downthis is more or less a wine bar - they are trying to sell high priced cocktails and bottles of wine and theres nothing wrong with that, but this type of atmosphere will tend to carry with it a menu with somewhat complicated options on offer -- everything has fennel shavings or cilantro or truffle oil or something else to make it fancy.Certainly go to this place, but do it because youre looking for a nice bottle of wine, some delicious cocktails, and a fancy entree - not because youre touring Philly and looking for a simple dinner.

Food was good, the waitress and the rest of the staff are very friendly. Would highly recommend for brunch.

A very unique and wealthy and worthy establishment. I recommend many people come here over the drinks and the dishes which are completely overhead and delicious. A great 10/10.

We stayed at the Kimpton and enjoyed brunch at Square 1682 two days in a row. The food and staff were amazing! Huge portions of delicious food. I highly recommend!!

Great, cool atmosphere. I had the tuna with broccoli tempura. Tuna was good, broccoli was absolutely awesome. Duck wings appetizer is very good as well.

I needed a place to meet a client and found this place available around 10am on a Saturday with no wait for a table.Aesthetically the place looks nice but there’s room for improvement like making sure the tables especially that early in the day are not sticky.My client and I ordered the two eggs your way with breakfast meat, potatoes and toast. The presentation was nice but the cold food was not. Why were both my scrambled egg whites and potatoes cold but the sausage was not. Same for my client.We informed our server and she took our plates away and brought us two new plates of hot food shortly after.The meat choices are chicken sausage and pork bacon which is fried hard and crispy (not to my liking so I’m happy I ordered the sausage).Since I work out of my phone, I will be taking my next client meeting to another place.

One of the most underrated cocktail bars in the city. They have a bartender there, Alex, who might as well be an artist considering the incredible drinks he makes from scratch. Thats what they should start calling him - The Artist!

I’m literally typing this review while I eat my meal because I couldn’t wait. This is the first time I’ve ever left a review on anything. My meal was AMAZING. I had the steak au poivre, and let me tell you this was the best steak I’ve ever had. The service is amazing, everything is seasoned perfectly. Im not from Philly but I’ll be coming back just to have a meal here again. 10/10.

Take out breakfast was cold and disappointing. They stop seating way before posted closing, so dont plan to dine after 9.

I highly recommend the Cobbler French Toast. It comes with braised apples, streusel. Absolutely delicious: soft, tasty and yummy 🤤A great option is you are in Downtown Philly

The server failed to listen to the answer if the question she asked. Do you have any dietary restrictions. I advised her it needs to be low glycemic. She told me she completely understood. I ordered the Ahi plate which came with a vegetable. To my surprise the broccoli was coated in a very sugary glaze. Being diabetic, this would have spiked my blood sugar. Be aware of this if you need anything specific in your dietary needs.

I had two bar tenders/ servers, a nice young man named Sebastian and wonderful young man named Alex. I showed up for breakfast and was so entranced with Sebastian’s service I ended up staying most of the day. Just when I thought my experience couldn’t get any better Alex started serving me and I was blown away! As some one who comes to Philly often I selfishly want this place to stay low key, but I had such a great experience I felt need to share!

Duck wings appetizer (has some spice to itdinner was steak, sweet potato fave, and asparagus. All BOMB. Babe ordered chicken, wasn’t a fan. I had his scalloped potatoes- diff than ur usual -amazing ! I really like how flavorful everything was. Master chef is Haitian so you know the food is going to have flavor. Waitress and bartender was great ! No side street parking available. Theres a garage. Small and casual, but too tier service and food. The General Tso Broccoli is a hidden gem. Add it to your meal if it doesnt change me with it.

My fiancé and I had dinner here last night and it was delicious from the start to finish. We tried the duck wings and they were crispy and flavorful. Our server was attentive and the drinks were good the best part was Tatiana. She was truly a pleasure to talk to!

We only got soup, salad, and cornbread with honey butter but it was delicious and plenty of food. Small place but nice - wed go back and try a larger entree.

Had a terrible experience with my order - when I first walked in and asked about their gluten-free options, was told they could make anything gluten-free and had gluten-free bread. When I ordered a sandwich, I was informed by the Manager that it has breaded eggplant, but theyve run out of gluten-free bread and can offer me just the breaded eggplant and other condiments part of the meal - I refused as that wouldnt be gluten-free. They barely had any options for me to choose from, and on top of it, they forgot to bring out my truffle fries order, which just tasted like basic fries, had no truffle flavouring. They did offer a dessert on the house to make up for it, but by this time the back-and-gorth and repeated mistakes (3 in totaloutweighed the gesture. Also, we overheard the kitchen staff tell our waiter that the dessert is just sitting in the freezer, doesnt sound like they make anything fresh.

Great food and a nice small spot for a quick dinner. The service was very friendly. I was a little worried because the restaurant was practically empty but it must have just been a light night because everything was great. I would definitely return!

For a hotel restaurant, not bad. Well cooked food, simple, fresh, food, at reasonable prices for the area. We really appreciated the freshness that the salads added to the crispy chicken. The peach cobbler was a fresh twist on a staple of southern cooking.

We stayed at the Palomar hotel for my husbands 30th birthday. This restaurant is attached and it did not disappoint. We came to eat, so we ordered a little bit of everything and let me tell you...it was all amazing. Cornbread, truffle fries, lamb, duck, steak, bread pudding and cocktails...all fantastic. Overall favs....cornbread, lamb and chocolate bread pudding. Our server Angela was so professional and accommodating. The place was clean, laid back, and reasonably priced. We will definitely be back!

Overall a disappointing experience. Came for restaurant week.Pros:- The bar/restaurant looks pretty modern and swanky though the decor doesnt make it stand out much compared to more modern looking restaurants.- the waitress was nice. I think she spoke too softly to be understood underneath the mask.Cons:- the food is generally unsatisfying. We had the waffle fries, tomato bisque, wagyu burger, french onion grilled cheese, peach cobbler and black cherry cabernet sorbet. None of them stood out to me as a positive. The waffle fries were simply fries, the burger was overdone, the french onion grilled cheese was bland, the tomato bisque was basically like a canned soup, the sorbet was decent and the peach cobbler had a burnt taste.- we went for restaurant week so the price was ok. Otherwise I wouldve thought it was extremely overpriced.Honestly not worth the expense. Go somewhere else with better food.

Very delightful. Have only been for breakfast and the options were great :)I couldnt get enough of the sweet potato hash. Service was a little slow and seemed to be understaffed at the time.

This is a very beautiful restaurant right in center City Philadelphia. The brunch menu is very nice and offers a perfect break from a long walk through the city. Avocado toasts, soups and a variety of salads and other dishes are simple yet very tasty. The service is quick and personal is kind. A great thing I noticed is that you can alter your dish in many ways if part of the receipt dont fit your liking. 10/10 would recommend to any tourist and also for locals.

Ive been twice and both times with large groups. This restaurant does a wonderful job of accommodating these large groups and providing us with friendly service alongside great food and drinks. As you can see, the food presentation is excellent and the food itself tastes delicious. One fun tip, go to the bathroom and explore the attached hotel a little bit, lots of cool art!

Great upscale spot for food and drinks. The drink menu is crafted by the bartending staff and rotates seasonally, using ingredients like squid ink, marshmallows, and other unique twists. Rarely seems crowded on weekdays, and seems like the perfect place to meet for a date, three-martini lunch, or nightcap. Be prepared to spend if you decide to get food. I recommend the duck wings.

It was a beautiful Restaurant!! And the food is incredible 💯 Very Clean and Classy. I was very impressed. We went for a business meeting had a private table in a quiet room set aside on the 2nd floor from the rest of the other customers. And the Waitress was awesome. I would give it 10 Stars 🌟

I had a delicious sangria carafe. The brunch menu seems limited so I ordered the hummus. It came with warm pita bread. The hummus and the bread were both delicious. The service was fine. I feel its a nice place to have a drink if youre waiting for your hotel room at the Palomar to be ready but is not a place I would choose for a meal.

Great food. Not your run of the mill fare. Service was wonderful and accommodating after a very long day for us in the city, not our normal environment. Would absolutely visit again if I get the chance! We had cut of the day (rib eye), topped with fennel sprigs along with truffled potatoes, asparagus and a caramelized whole garlic clove that went beautifully with the fresh rolls too.

Having a good restaurant is essential to any hotel experience. Square 1682 didnt disappoint. Food, happy hour prices, and staff were great.

Yummy food though my sandwich could have been hotter. Excellent drinks, well stocked bar, they can make almost anything.Its a little expensive but its a hotel restaurant in Philly in Rittenhouse Square so thats expected. That said Ill go back, even if its just for cocktails. Service at the bar was great as well.

Really good food. Started with a cheese plate and tuna tartare. I had the whole red snapper. Very fresh and tasty. The hassle back potato just needed salt, not a big deal. The wife had the hanger steak and fries. Meat was cooked perfect. The sauce she thought was just okay. Would return.

Friendly atmosphere, great bar menu, nice staff. Dessert menu was surprisingly catered around pistachios which led me to believe that the owner might have some sort of nut allergy (sarcasm is sometimes difficult to understand so Ill just write this here.)

Dined in with a group of 6. It seems as though they have some issues.Twice we requested a specific bottle of wine from their list, only to be told that it was out of stock. The server did bring similar bottles for us to try and high were quite good.Overall, we had some order from the restaurant week menu and some ordered a la carte. Two of the three steaks were overcooked. Personally, the short ribs (picturedI had was one of the best.
