Rustic-chic New American kitchen using seasonal Southern ingredients on its farm-to-table menu.
The food here is nothing shy of amazing! Taste and presentation are both on point. There is also a great atmosphere that allows for ease of having a conversation when on a date night. Rounding it out is a pleasant and friendly staff.
We ordered the chicken liver pâté, the roasted broccoli salad, the pan-seared snapper, lobster garganelli and chocolate and beets for dessert. Every plate was beautiful and balanced. All of the flavors married well and complimented eachother perfectly. Service was impeccable. We will definitely be visiting again and Id recommend eating here to all of my friends.
Delightfully delicious appetizers and entrees at Spring! The ingredients are fresh and locally sourced, so the dishes will really pack a punch of flavor for any person who enjoys good food. Your tastebuds will be dancing at the end of your meal!
Wow! My husband and I experienced Spring for the first time last week and we were blown away. The meal was extraordinary - definitely a favorite meal we’ve ever had in Atlanta. The service is top notch, too! We can’t wait to visit again soon!
So amazingly fresh and delicious! We all ordered something different and had a difficult time deciding which was our favorite! They were able to seat a party of 8 easily and service was delightful!
This place was very cool! Small, semi hidden but amazing! Everything from the staff, atmosphere, and food was perfect. I highly recommend this place. I had the grouper and it did not disappoint.
Wonderful meal, really enjoyed the atmosphere. Service was excellent, this small environment has a sweetness that encourages memory making. We tried all items on the menu 7/15/22 and found each delicious.
I’m really surprised at the high reviews for this place. We went for our wedding anniversary and I really think I’m being generous with 3 stars. All my generosity is thanks to a very nice and professional wait staff. I give the ambiance, or lack thereof, 1 star. I give the food selection 2 stars. Very limited food and drink menu. The portions are very small, but we still didn’t finish, because the preparation of the food is 2 stars, as well. I had the chicken liver pâté. Seemed like a good idea, nice garnishes with decent presentation. However, it was served on soft brioche. I think there’s something to it that I usually have pâté on toasted bread, as soft on soft textured food is really unappetizing. There’s not much to be said for the peach salad or melon soup, really uninspired, both in taste and presentation. For entrees, we had the waygu beef and the grouper. We prepare better meals at home, and we’re by no means chefs. My grouper was bland and undercooked, not at all flaky and I can’t imagine it ever reached a temp over 55 deg C. I took it to go and shared it with my canine.Really a miss for us, we left and shared a few sushi rolls that really hit the spot.
Excellent, thoughtful, delicious food. Helpful, attentive service. Excellent wine options.
SUPERB. After dining here countless times over the past four years, shame on me for not writing a review until now. Spring deserves all the stars!Never have we had a poor experience in all our times here. Every dish is well executed and delicious. The menu is always on point and carefully planned. Chef Brian always gets it right! The wine list is so unique and classic. Sommelier Daniel is extremely knowledgeable and will always help find the right wine for your meal! The ambiance is intimate and welcoming. The waitstaff are unparalleled. We frequent Spring for every special occasion, anniversary, birthday, and sometimes just a random weeknight because we can’t stay away.10/10 recommend!
I have been here twice now and everything my boyfriend and I have gotten both times has been perfection! Absolutely worth the money and cant wait to go back for the third time.
Seriously some of the best fried rice I have ever had! Been going for nearly 10 years and never disappointed!
Great dining treasure tucked away in the heart of Marietta square. This quaint and elegant dining experience is one to enjoy. Between the seasonal menu of rich and decadent food, you are also presented with a wealth of knowledge in wine/food pairings from a service staff that truly appreciate the importance of taste, attention to detail, and punctuality. My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary and were not disappointed with any of the meal, wines, or dessert. Highly recommend this fine dining experience for anyone who wants an experience rather than a turn and burn table pusher restaurant. We will definitely be revisiting this establishment.
We just finished having dinner here and can’t wait to return. We’ve been to Spring a few times and have never been disappointed. The food, service, and ambiance are so wonderful! The dishes are creative without being bizarre, lol. Waitstaff are attentive and pleasant. Interior is intimate. Perfect dining experience!
Aw man, I really wanted this to be 5 stars but boy was I disappointed.Specifically to the reviewer gloating about having eatin at Alain Ducasse, Guy Savoy, French Laundry, etc... and comparing it here... really?? I dont think I was ever served plain peas and carrots at places similar to those, and certainly not in any brassieries.MAN ugh, I wanted to like this place so bad, but everything was off. We ordered both snacks, all 3 starters, and the lamb and halibut entrees. Trying restaurants is a hobby of mine and one that Im easily able to afford with my current job, so Id like to give my full opinion here so that someone who may be saving up for a meal like this can get the full picture before going.Snacks:Oysters were the best part but they werent better than kimball house and technically cost more. White asperagus felt very premade, at least within the restaurant but the asperagus was cold while hollandaise was warm and tasted more like homemade mayo... although not totally a complaint.Starters:This was probably the best part but still left us underwhelmed. Salmon crudo was the best of the 3, but left much to be desired. Burrata and beets were pleasant tasting but difficult to eat. Same with the foie gras. Actually we found most things difficult to eat which was really frustrating. Made it seem like they didnt know what theyre doing although pictures from previous menus seemed much better constructed. (Compare my picture of the foie gras to the others posted - big difference)Entrees:We were holding our breath on giving an opinion until we got the entrees, but once we did, woof. Halibut was cooked well but the dish was a bit basic. Somewhat enjoyable until you remember what you paid. The lamb though... no no no no... you cant just serve mildly seasoned lamb with peas, carrots, a teaspoon of carrot puree and then sprinkle mint everywhere, and the added bits of gristle really capped off the experience. Made absolutely no sense as were not masters of lamb but could definitely cook this better at home.Desserts:We didnt order dessert mostly because the entrees were so disappointing, but also because after the entrees, nobody came to our table for what felt like 20-30 min while the guests next to us (we overheard one of them used to work here were visiting with the people working. This normally wouldnt bother me but they basically left us to sulk in our disappointment while we listened to that same girl loudly laughing about how her boyfriend locked her in a bathroom? Dump him, girl. Also pay your check and leave lol.Overall, Im sorry I have to write this review, but I find it offensive that they charge these prices - prices that well exceed that of Ticonderoga and Kimball House but markedly worse in all aspects.I live in Atlanta, but grew up in Lilburn where we have 2 similar establishments, Three Blind Mice and 1910 Public House. Similar concepts but tastier meals and cheaper (24-32 per entree). Counting my blessings.Im SO confused by the other reviews. Our favorite, if not the oysters, was the bread they served with salted onion butter. Theres a serious issue with proportioning the plates. Not enough sauce or puree on all dishes that came with it. Auxilliary ingredients required cutting to make sure they were spread out across the dish - especially annoying when youre given 4 walnuts to divide across 2 pieces of toast (for foie gras). Even the menu details were not exciting and you could feel the lack of enthusiasm in conceptualizing these dishes when recieving lamb with a mound of peas and carrots. Im not paying 45 dollars for a meal I would make at home and still be underwhelmed by. Will not be back.P.S. with no cocktails and only 3 non-alcoholic beers, it makes our decision that much easier not to returnIf you are looking to spend this amount of money for a holistic food experience check out the below:-Lyla Lila-Kimball House-Ticonderoga Club-Southern Belle-Banshee-Gato/Gigis
This spot has the wow factor. Staff was some of the best I have had since before COVID. Owner was out on the floor working and checking on his customers. Our food was so fresh and creative. Hats off to the chef and his staff. All around wonderful experience. Only downside is there is 0 parking. Leave early so you can find a spot. We will be back every 3 months for the seasonal menu change.👌
Fantastic. The plating was delightful and so was the food itself, and I especially enjoyed the lamb belly. If you have the budget, give this one a go.
The best food I have ever eaten in my life. Flavor profiles were amazing and unexpectedly good. I wish i could afford to eat here more often. If you have the chance get a reservation usually a couple weeks in advance and try it out.
Wow the food here was amazing! Our second time here and once again we were blown away by the blend of different flavors. Definitely a pricier place but worth every single cent!
Only been here a couple or three times over the years, I suppose because it is so hard to get a table and Im a last minute type of guy. The food and service were absolutely amazing. I loved the oysters, the chicken pate/pistachio was to die for, the sunchoke soup stupendous, and the lobster with butternut squash and pasta was perfection. I will be making plans ahead of time to visit Spring more often. The small intimate space ensure the highest quality of food found anywhere in Atlanta.
Intimate and relaxed space. Excellent atmosphere. Front of house recommended an excellent wine based on my typical preferences. Food was exceptional; a level of complexity that doesn’t distract from the incredible quality of the ingredients. Friendly and personable service. 11/10 will return.
Amazing! Beef carpaccio was the best Ive ever had! Incredible dining experience.
One of the best restaurants I have ever eaten at. Expect to pay $50-$100 a head. But it is worth every dollar. Perfect for small occasions like birthdays and anniversaries.
I enjoyed the venison and truffle soup! Was a discreet and romantic moment in the Marietta Square, kind of hidden. Service was great the waiters were friendly, and when it was close to closing time my date and I were still enjoying out meal and they patiently waited for us to finish. Would recommend you to have a date night here too
Terrible service, took 8 minutes to be greeted, was served a 4 oz glass of champagne, could smell cigarette smoke pretty agressively from the server. Felt like a nameless guest, was never asked how the food was, had to ask about the menu to get any description. The food was great, carpaccio and fluke especially, but the service made it an unfun experience. There are plenty of other restaurants that offer good food and decent service along with it. I wont return and I wouldnt recommend you do either.
The food was absolutely tasteless and disgusting. Absolutely disappointed with the experience I had at Spring. I ordered a Lobster and butternut pasta dish and it was the worst dish I have ever had. The sauce was foamy, looked like vile. The lobster was rubbery and frozen beforehand. And the pasta was box pasta and not homemade like I was told. What a waste of money!
My wife and I finally decided to pull the trigger for our anniversary. We knew it would be an experience, but it was way above our expectations.TL;DR for the quality of ingredients and techniques employed in each dish, the price is a STEAL.I cant do the food justice with words, if you are contemplating on coming...all I can ask is, what are you waiting for? Most reviews already harped on the attention to detail and love that went into preparing each dish. Come see for yourselves what the Chef and Sommelier have in store for you. Dont come here if youre looking for a bargain, just go to The Cheesecake factory. If youre looking for a step up in your gastronomical experience, you will not be disappointed.
I truly wish I could give Spring Restaurant six stars for their incredible performance tonight. Every dish was well thought out and immaculately executed. Each ingredient was there for a reason and held its own among the other flavors of the dish. My two regrets for the meal were that I couldnt try every dish on the menu and that I restrained myself from licking the plates clean.
Love the place. Food and price were right, the menu balanced, great place to spend time with a loved one
One of my favorite restaurants in Marietta! This is a small restaurant with minimal decor. The spotlight is definitely on the amazing food being served. Small and seasonal menu, every time you return there’s a new amazing dish being served. Love it!
A wonderful place to celebrate a special birthday in a simple but beautiful environment. The food was beyond my expectation and the wine was perfect. The service was top notch. I am so excitied to have this in Cobb County without having to drive into Atlanta.
Our first time at Spring was fantastic, we ordered one of everything on the menu and not a single dish disappointed. The quality of the food far exceeded the bill we had to pay afterward. We’re lucky to have a spot like this in Marietta.
we have always had an incredible experience at spring - the most delicious meals, amazing service, and i love the quiet and quaint atmosphere. always love trying something new here and it truly never disappoints! so thankful we have a gem like this in our little town.
Absolutely amazing. From the service, to the food, to the wine it was impeccable. I can not wait to go back to this place. The menu is small, only because everything is made fresh daily and to perfection. Love the wine selections as well.
The thing we’ll miss most about leaving Marietta is saying goodbye to Spring. We celebrated birthdays, new jobs & friendships here. It was put go-to place. The menu is always a treat, the food is always exquisite. It’s consistently incredible— the service was no exception. Thanks for all the delicious meals!
Fresh seasonal ingredients — rhubarb and beets paired with Peking Duck seared perfectly. The halibut was cooked well - flaky and not over done. Overall experience was fine but It did not leave an impression to come back for more.
Spring was the best meal Ive had on recent memory. The menu changes based on the season and everything we ordered screamed spring in the most delicious way!My first bite of the lamb loin was magical, perfectly cooked with a bit of hardwood charcoal flavor, perfectly seasoned...a joy to eat.The strawberry dessert blew us away; the taste was incredible, strawberry at its best. The service is fantastic as well, subdued but on point.Spring is a special treat!
Their bread is amazing! So sad they stopped doing curbside pick up. I will certainly buy again when its available.
A very intimate New American restaurant in the farm to table discipline located in a secluded venue on Marietta Square. The service was attentive and knowledgeable and the food was prepared exquisitely. The sear on my steak below is superb, as is the picturesque flambé on the baked Alaska. The herb garden near the entrance is also both functional and beautiful.I highly recommend reservations as it is a smaller space and will fill up quickly due to its popularity.
Great dining experience! The restaurant is small so make sure to make reservations ahead if time. Also, the menu is small so be sure to check it ahead of time if you have dietary restrictions, but it is definitely worth it!
I completely enjoyed this place. Everything we had was awesome, but if you get an opportunity to have the short rib, you won’t be disappointed. One of the owners greeted us on the way in and out. Fantastic experience.
Very cozy atmosphere with high end dining with a farm feel. Menu was small but unique. I had the pasta and the appetizer that was raw fish, avacados, and had a big crispy rice cracker with it. Staff was attentive and friendly. It was busy, so definitely make reservations or you might not get in.
A hidden gem found inside Marietta square, this place is small but has a unique quality to it. Prior to coming here I knew I might spend a little bit more than the average amount at a restaurant. If you decide to go I would not suggest going on a whim, but if you do go you will not be disappointed. Spring is a quaint little restaurant that looks like it may have been previously part of a train station. The entrance has a huge sliding door and the entire dining area can be seen from the entrance. Unless you get there when they open, I would suggest getting a reservation. The food here is very good. I have only been once, so I can only account for the menu they had at the time. The menu will change pretty frequently, and it is relatively small with roughly five different entrees and appetizers. The garganelli I had was so flavorful it felt like it melted in my mouth. The chicken liver pate on toast had a sweet and creamy taste and was just as good as my entree. If you plan ahead, Spring will definitely not be an upset.
The food was exceptional. My favorites were the chicken liver paté and the pork entree.
Outstanding! Small menu and it shines. Absolutely fantastic meal and excellent service. Nice to have a top tier restaurant in downtown Marietta. When you are looking for it on Church St, walk down the alley right next to where you are expecting the address to be, it is located towards the back of the building right next to the railroad tracks. Really worth finding. The sweet corn custard dessert is a total surprise and kicks creme brulees ass all over town.
Absolutely lives up to the billing. Service absolutely on point and the food is so so good. A lot of the menu was gluten-free as a bonus. Looking forward to our next and many more return visits!
Something always different to enjoy, the chef does a great job on every meal. Wait staff is attentive. The manager stopped by to make sure all was good with our meal and thanked us for dining at Spring.
Yes, its THAT good! Fine dining in a comfortable, laid back atmosphere. 14 tables make it cozy, and the service is excellent, but youll come back for the expertly prepared starters, entrees and desserts, which are each special and a delight for the pallet!
We had a delightful dinner here this evening. The staff were wonderful from the moment we arrived until we were out the door, even with our 6 month old daughter (not a typical dining guest here Im guessing). We had the Apple and endive salad, chicken pate, bacon wrapped venison, duck, and dark chocolate grapefruit tart. It was all amazing - every bite. Some highlights were the crisp kale on the venison and the grapefruit sorbet on the tart.
Attentive service in a cozy atmosphere. Food was well presented and everything was prepared or cooked perfectly. Ordered the snapper as my main and while tasty, was not particularly interesting.
