Spreckels Park in Tijuana
Description
Privilege
Spreckels Park is Coronado. It seems as if the City evolves around the band shell here. There are often free concerts in the park (check City website for dates). There is a huge AND shaded play area for kids. This park has probably one of the best public restrooms of any City. There are tons of shade trees for a lounging around or enjoying a picnic.
MoreNice little park a lot going on but didnt feel crowded. Nice shade trees and playground.
MoreFerls like an old fashioned mid west town center park. Playground, tall trees, green grass, restrooms, in the heart of Coronado . Its a well used, well loved park.
More40 different species of trees from all over the world are planted and growing here in this park.
MoreVery nice & convenient place to take a stroll in the neighborhood. Looks very clean, & the area feels safe!
MoreIts the center of the town park so it has concerts in the park during summer months and holidays little fairs for the kidsIts a lovley park and just across the street a wonderful library 🙃
MoreNice family-oriented park. Sat and talked on the phone with my own daughter for hours near this park.
MoreNice playground across the library, you can hit both places with the kids and have a little variety on activities.
MoreVery nice park with a great shaded play area for young and middle age kids. The sand area was nice, and there was a water fountain including a bottle filler which was nice. Overall really nicely shaded and upkept very well.
MoreBeautiful well kept park, lots of open space and shade from the trees.
Such a lovely park very clean
We always look forward to having a picnic at the park. Everything is very organized. We bring our chairs & appetizers from Vons down the street.
MoreGreat park and wonderful events scheduled here throughout the summer. Clean, trash cans and recycling bins. Perfect place for everyone to enjoy, except Dog owners who love their pets. This park does not ALLOW dogs. Even though I see many dogs being walked through the park . This is a huge NO here.So its a great park only for some to enjoy.
MoreWe really like the playground, it has lots of slides and swings.
Beautiful, tree lined city park with a band stage and play ground in the heart of Coronado Island.
MoreBeautiful. And a day before the 4th, full park. Good times.

MoreSuper clean, lots of shade a lush green grass. There is a very nice playground setup and public restrooms with private stalls and hand-washing stations. No dogs are allowed according to signage.
MoreGreat place to relax with a book or have a picnic with the family. Perfect for tossing the ball around or flying a kite. The kids playground is great for tots and older kids. Bathrooms available and open. During summer the park has lots of events.
MoreA must see if visiting San Diego. Located on Coronado Island has a lot of historical areas nearby. Plenty of restaurants and things to do with the family however plan your day accordingly for there is two parking spaces available
MoreWe enjoyed sitting and watching the live entertainment on a Sunday evening.
Excellent place to go for relaxing. My family and I went to a concert at evening. Perfect for kids and family.
MoreThe marine core band was disappointing at best The sound system was underwhelming. They should have had a vocalist because their selection of music was so uninspiring that most of the audience around was not even quietly listening. A singer would have cured that disinterest. They finally played the multiple Services theme songs which certainly made the performance much more enjoyable. Don’t they realize that what we want to hear from them is patriotic music? I hope their choice of music was not selected to conform with a Woke agenda to de-emphasize nationalistic fervor. That would convince me they are not worth supporting.
MoreFun little park for the family. Nice playground and pet friendly. I will revisit for sure...
MoreThere for the annual flower show. Wasnt what I expected. Not enough Flowers.
Great park for spending time with the kids. Theres a playground, kiosk, restrooms, a lot of shade coming from beautiful trees. My favorite part is a statue of a boy picking up his baseball, surrounded by a well maintained shrub/flower made crown around a tree. I believe it was erected by the Rotary Club of Coronado.
MoreAn extremely nice place for picnics, parties, and other outdoor activities. Very clean, in a beautiful setting. Close to the beach lots of small shops and historic homes and buildings.
MoreWhat is not to love about Coronado? The entire peninsula is simply gorgeous!Speckles Park is centrally located, well kept, beautiful and has ample facilities. The gazebo accommodates some nice weekend events.Today, I was fortunate enough to attend the 100th Anniversary of the Coronado Flower Show (and Art Show). It was a perfect day and neatly organized.

MoreMy wife and I visited Coronado recently and while walking to our car stopped at this wonderful park. Enjoyed watching people go by while at the kiosk. The park is super clean including the public restrooms. The park restrooms are the cleanest I have ever used ever. SPOTLESS. Whoever maintains the park is doing a great job. A+++ Highly recommended
MoreAbsolutely breathtaking, beautiful little park with a nice size playground for kids and clean bathrooms with water fountain
MoreIts a nice little park pretty much in the center of Coronado. Theres a playground, some picnic tables, and public restrooms. I have often seen people there either working out or having some sort of a group event. So seems like a good place for that.
MoreBeautiful place for a stroll. Great playground for kids.If youre lucky if you catch a performance later in the day.Picnic perfect. But no dogs allowed.
MoreGreat park to bring your kids. The playground has been covered with shade so it doesnt get to hot for your kids . Bathrooms are available. Toilet paper and seat covers included.Public restrooms are not very clean (expected). Great area to picnic.
MoreThis park is really nice. Has lots of room to spread out and run around. If you want to go at slower times get there before 2:00 during the week days. Way too many people for my taste on the weekends. There are some really nice and Canary Island Palm tree that are labeled.
MoreGreat park for familys. Parking off the main street in the back of the block. Restrooms in the corner. Great soft sponge ground on the jingle gym for kiddos to fall. Lots of green to run on. In the middle of some good shops, coffee, eaterys. We walked to Claytons bistro and then hung at the park and it was great. Clean and well maintained. Swings for all.ages. easy place for parents with the wide visibility. Have fun!
MoreThe bathrooms were clean! The park is a nice size with plenty of trees for those that want shade and room for families to throw or kick a ball around. The playground is mostly shaded which is definitely nice for the kids playing and the parents hanging around
MoreTook a little drive today from Encinitas to Balboa park and decided to check out Coronado. I haven’t been there more than 1-2 times in 23 years of living in SoCal. Anyways decided to check out some local parks and we stopped at Spreckeles Park. It was very nice and got the feel of what it would be like to live in Coronado. Anyways the park is very nicely manicured with flowers and trees in the park and along the street. There is a huge gazebo and people jogging kids playing in a very updated playground. Lots of swings and slides. Also there were artists selling their artwork by the roadside. It felt really folky and something out of a movie. Great park to see how the other half lives :)
MoreA wonderful place to unwind. Right in the heart of Coronado. Cute playground for the children. During the summer, there are great concerts on Sunday evenings which bring families together.

Dogs are not allowed on the grassy area where people are seated and enjoying the great climate and their picnic style food that theyve brought {including their take-out}. Theres also a food delivery point established if you need it delivered.
MoreSafe kid-friendly park. The "Coronado Summer Concert Series" on Sundays is wildly popular. Parking seems to be a problem during the concerts.Decorative, artistic mobile restrooms available during concerts.
MoreAwesome park in the middle of a quaint little town. Summer Sunday evening concerts are superb. Wonderful, peaceful place to picnic or just read in the shade of a tree. Great place to watch annual 4th of July parade down Orange Avenue.
