Sporties in Alice Springs

Potion size good, but menu slightly overpriced on most things.Steak was under cooked, ordered MW and still bleeding. Besides that i would have given 4*Also abit cold inside, food got cold before I finished it.

The food was great especially the peri-peri chicken. Love it!!!

At the risk of sounding like a crochety old man I prefer the old menu especially the T bone, new menu is palatable, but for me it lacks the Pavlovian response the old one did (I know Im gross).The decor is a far cry from the shrine to local Motorsport that it used to be but I must admit I find holding a conversation over dinner easier without the finke replays on the big screen on the back wall. Staff are always friendly and the bar well stocked

Nice, large meals. Not fantastic, but good food. Staff were learning and doing OK, but very friendly. Not a fan of having a TV staring down at you in every booth, but at least you can turn it off.

It is a bit deceiving from the outside, but definitely worth a stop for dinner.We had a family dinner and all our meals were delicious, not overpriced and the staff were all very nice. Would recommend 👍

I ordered the vanilla slice … the custard was horrible slightly caramel in flavour , the pastry was sloppy and the hard crystallised icing on top reminded me of cheap badly made icing on a cake…the cream on the side a sloppy mess .. very sad to see this Alice springs iconic restaurant go bad like this , clearly the new owners have not learnt anything from the amazing previous owners

Very nice food, great flavours

Perfect spot for an ice cold beer and a big meal in Alice. The food portions are extremely generous for the price and the drinks prices are hard to beat. Early evening vibes are more of a family atmosphere, I enjoyed having a couple of drinks at lunch on a hot day

Never had a bad meal in nearly 13 years. Always good service and delicious meals. Can’t go past the chicken crepe ! Yum.

One of the best places to eat in Alice an extensive menu of really unique meals I never know what to pick as it all sounds fantastic.Went for the seafood Thai curry this visit and it was perfect.Meal sizes are impressive.Picture of my meal added.

Delicious food and good customer service. Quick drink delivery. Wait time is a reasonable 15 - 20 minutes for food, which has wonderfully generous portions.Relaxed atmosphere, highly recommend sitting in the booths, as the seats are very comfortable and the dividing half walls cuts down the noise of other conversations when it starts getting busy.Sporties opens at 11:30am and I highly recommend booking ahead if you have more than 2 people in your party going for a meal.

I ate here on the 8th Nov 2021.I ordered Bruschetta and it was appalling and not what I expected BruschetIt was on a single piece of Turkish bread toasted, with chopped tomato, SATURATED IN SWEET CHILLI SAUCE and balsamic vinaigrette for show. No BASIL or flavor. All I could taste was SWEET CHILLI SAUCE also the FETTA cheese was like the cheapest FETTA because there was no after taste. in the menu it did not specify the Ingredients and the waiter went to go on and inform us the chef has been doing this for over 20years. Has no one ever said anything? How are you meant to improve the menu. YThat was the entress. Did I eat it still, yes because I was hungry.Now the Main Course. I had the Alforno in Fettuccine and my friend had the Spaghetti dish. It was very underwhelming and in the menu overrated. Because I could not taste the ingredients. The portion was right on point, more pasta then ingredients, so the ratio was out of portion. This isnt here to criticize the restaurant however to improve the chef quality and to stick to the original ingredients in a dish then go outside of what people expect. Or should I lowery standards because Im in Central Australia. I highly doubt this is the case.All the best sportiest. However the atmosphere is on point and welcoming and quiet which is most important. Kind regards.

Had lunch here, clean restaurant, nice staff but I ordered KING PRAWN Risotto. The risotto was quite good but not a king prawn in sight, I looked closely and there were tiny bits of prawn amongst the rice, prawn chopped smaller than a peanut.If you like prawn DO NOT order this dish.

Staff are professional, friendly and accommodating. The food is fresh and enjoyable. Nice and clean place. The atmosphere in the restaurant is perfect as you can have a conversation with your table or enjoy the sport on the TVs. Its busy so best to book however the staff will try accommodate you should you walk in.

Friendly staff with great service. Meals are very good sizes and tasty. Either go early or book a table as it can reach full capacity fast. We had most of our Meals here while in Alice Springs

Good clean space with friendly customer service. Food was served in good time and we all enjoyed out meals ranging from schnitzel, pasta, steak and stuffed chicken meals. Ongoing and follow up service was excellent and the whole experience was delightful and delicious.

Pasta sizes are very large almost USA meal sizes. Calamari is very nice

Amazing. Was suggested by a local as the best meals in Alice Springs. The bacon wrapped pork was so good, I went back and had one of the best steaks Ive ever had. A clean and relaxing place with friendly staff and best of all - priced sensibly.

Great restaurant to come to for dinner. Awesome atmosphere! We walked in just after service had started and 90% of the tables where reserved. This is a good sign that it was going to be a good meal. They open earlier than other restaurants which is great when you have young children. The service is fantastic. Warm and friendly and the waiters suggestive sell which tells me they love the food and are proud to work here. I will be back for sure. Thanks Sporties for a memorable feed!!

Loved it. Exquisite restuarant. Clean and classy. Made me ditch my usual restaurant test of medium rare steak to chicken crespelles that tantalised my palate! It was heaven. I am very suspect of new foods, I braved it with heaven like rewards. It did serve me well to deviate from steaks. I love my beef. This chicken wat wat was fatto con perfezione! We started off with hot chocolate, it was also a cut above the hot chocs that I have tested in town. Top it off with a marshmallow yum!. . We also ordered an entree size pasta..yoh. it was a bowl that was big enough to be a main meal...so we split it into two smaller bowls and we still have a big feel each from one entree order..not to forget that it was spiced just right too. The fresh herbs sprinkled on top was a tocco classico! The potato chips serving that came with the crespelles was good and the chips were very fresh. The crespelles also came with a garden salad that was also fresh and good size portion. My friend had a pork involtini that was also made to perfezione. Hmmm.. we really did enjoy the meal. I jus had to order a dessert to go with this and I had an affogato with Baileys! Oh yes. It went down well too. All downed with a fresh cruiser vodka & a Jack and Coke for my friend. The waiters were very friendmyand very courteous. I totally recommend Sporties any day! Thanks to my friends Tinashe n Mollen for recommending this joint as the best! They were on point! Sporties is up there competing with the best; Tali Hanuman watch out!

We had a Saturday lunch here. The well-trained and attentive service staff are excellent for the service. Our meals arrived promptly. They are considered okay, but tested better than they look. The amount of rice is large.

All food I have tried from here is delicious and good sized portions. Team are super friendly and accommodating. Faultless, glowing review from me.

Great food, and even greater service. Every member of the waiting staff we encountered was top notch.We were pretty full after our mains, but were tempted by the extensive dessert menu. Our trip to Sporties was a taste of something different in Alice Springs. The menu had a lot to offer, with traditional favourite like parmies and some specialty items including daily specials. Their doorsteps are considered their specialty range and these are a big feed for anyone. Staff were very attentive, making sure we didnt have an empty glass or messy table. They were also very friendly and efficient. Overall a great venue for lunch.

Excellent BBQ ribs, delicious Calamari (ask for the Marinara sauce), very pleasant staff, relaxed atmosphere.
