Really lovely attentive staff. Brilliant menu. Had the pesto courgetti which was massive. The fish fajitas were very big (for 2and so tasty! The fish tacos were delicious but canned tuna which was a bit disappointing. Definitely try the chipotle mayo which comes with the chips at the beginning. The margaritas are not good- too sweet and a bit small.

The food was good, and they have options that most people don’t making them unique. Definitely centered around a more healthy eating experience with plenty to choose from.

The location is beautiful, the food is delicious, and the service is the best youll find in Puerto Escondido. The staff are kind and polite, will speak either Spanish or English with no problem, and are very attentive and helpful, even to tourists. Their dishes are tasty and well prepared, with fresh vegetables and herbs from their garden. The place is much bigger than it looks from the front - it has both a pleasant view of the beach (spectacular at sunsetand a shady garden (best for the hot part of the day). Their juices, smoothies, and salads are refreshing and served cold; I highly recommend the green smoothie, as well as any of their fish dishes. You will leave content and well-nourished!***PRO TIP*** BRING CASH TO TIP YOUR SERVERS.They accept cards for payment, but cannot add tip to cards. They have the best service youll find in Zicatela, despite half their tables not knowing this rule. Take care of your waiters - they deserve it!

They just have everything your heart needs and your stomach wants. It doesnt matter if you go have breakfast with all of the different smoothies or you want to have lunch there. They have everything from waffles over eggs and burgers or sandwiches and much much more that will satisfy your hunger.

Dont be fooled by the vegetarian menu, everything is absolutely FANTASTIC, service is very friendly and its not so pricey 25 USD aprox for a 2 person meal with snacks and various drinks.

Absolutely delicious wholesome fresh food! My family and I came here daily after travelling for a few months. It was a luxury to enjoy such healthy and tasty fresh food options. They have yummy juices alongside wholesome burgers, tacos and the smoothie bowls are to die for!!

Went here twice. The food was great, I got my food in a timely manner. My server knew how to speak English which was great. Ambience was awesome - during the day it’s really nice here.Their shakes are amazing!!

I had the “Pimp my Avocado” which was ok. There was a lot of spices which I didn’t quite enjoy the flavours. I much prefer my avocado and toast with just olive oil and sea salt!! Anyway it was a good meal nonetheless - everything was fresh and the place was a wonderful vibe. I’ve also had a smoothie there another time and it was fine but a bit price compared to other local juice places in town. Anyway I would go again and try something else for sure - love the atmosphere and the staff are lovely

Suuuper slow service, the first day they took 45 minutes for one salad and a burger then we make the mistake to give the second chance, and the waiter(argentinan oneforgot to put in the system the food order, super disapointing, completely ruined our last night in Puerto Escondido, thank.

My second comment in my life, and it’s a crazy one.After going since years to this place, I have to say that today I lived something new….They literally robbed me because of not wanting to give change money back, after I was waiting 45 min for food that never came… and I had to go, so without food.. after 3 asking for our drink give money to be able to go… And in this process the mister on the Kassa did make fun pf it to make me wait for minutes to give the change back… so I hade to leave without…! I am chocked to see things like done to clients.

Excellent service and food! Our favorite restaurant - we went here 6 times in 5 days. Especially for vegetarians it‘s the perfect place!

Went back almost everyday for the smoothies! Such a large selection and so fresh and delicious. Perfect thing for a hot beach day/post surf.

Best value breakfast we had in Puerto Escondido. The restaurant is nicely set up on the second floor surrounded by beautifully curated surroundings.The juices were fantastic and I personally loved the molletes.

Great menu with lots of options - if you’re looking for healthy ones this is your destination! Plenty of smoothies, smoothie bowls, eggs and avo toasts. All at reasonable prices. The service was quick and the waiters super friendly. The restaurant itself has a part facing the ocean and another in the garden, with a rooftop yoga studio and space for massages.

We had great pancakes 🥞The only thing was the server was quite rude when we finished eating them demanding for us to pay right away, only reason I wouldn’t consider not coming back…

Was skeptical at first, thought it’d be some hoity-toity hippie restaurant… which it is, but if you’re craving GOOD pancakes. This the spot for ‘em.

Its a nice vibe. A lot of veggie options and very nice waiters.The juices are delicious but the vegan burger I had was alright.

Great food. Wanted to order everything. Went there twice, first time everything was spietze, but the second time it was busy and no one came to take orders and staff wasn’t super friendly

The food is good and so is the coffee but if you decide to go come with time! We waited around 45 min for 4 sandwiches and then one of them was the wrong sandwich. I dont know if it was just an off day and the sandwiches were really delicous but the delay let us to miss our evening plans... i would go again but definitely with more time

Really nice cocktails, good breakfast options and great food in general. The staff are always friendly and there was never a long wait for a table. They take card payments, but make sure you have some cash for a tip.

Lovely place, nicely located. Service is as Mexican as it can get: patience is a virtue (except when you ask the bill). Besides that, the food is amazing. I had a Fajitas Veggie and my girlfriend had a Soy Burger. Although my plate was very tasty, my girlfriend told me the burger was too dry. Luckily we had some very tasty smoothies, which washed away that dryness.

Hubs meal was outstanding, he ordered pasta with fresh fish dorado. Fish portion could have been doubled in size, gladly pay more for decent fish, it was prepared perfectly with lots of flavor. I ordered a vegetarian sweet potato burger… bad choice, mushy not good. Salsas we’re good, drinks were good too. We would go back.

This place has great food and service. Ive tried multiple items from the menu and Ive been very satisfied with everything. Come give it a go!

I dont understand the bad reviews here at allllll! My boyfriend and I have stayed in Puerto Escondido for a whole month and been to Spirulina countless times because we couldnt get enough!! We tried a lot of things on their menu, we really love the Gorilla Pancakes, the sandwiches with chicken, allll their smoothies and milkshakes (the Hipster is our favorite tho!The dinner we had there was super nice as well (recommend the fajitas)! Frappuccino is amazing, and the people there were literally always nice to us and happy to take our order. We will be back next month, first stop will be Spirulina ;-)

Menu seems to focus on the very health conscious and/or vegetarians. Lighting is very low, so I couldnt see the menu well, but others seemed to be ordering burgers. I had a spinach salad with fish, which I enjoyed. Will have to go back in the day so I can read the menu. Service seems slow, but the place was full.

Best breakfast and juice I have had in Mexico. Only problem is the waiting and the service staff are rushed of their feet. Multiple parties waiting and so much confusion. Would be easier if they had a wait sheet.

Breakfast is good, its a shame staff are so awful with service, rude and not very helpful. Very slow. On top of that they will charge you 4% if you pay by card, which is by Mexican law ILEGAL. It has a convenient location

Very enjoyable cappuccino frio with coco milk and the everything protein smoothie. It’s a bit pricy for my liking, but if you grab the seats with sea-view it’s worth it!

Very good food, kind waiters, but still figuring out quality of service. Had to serve my own plate that has been waiting on the counter half cold .. well not everything always works out.

This place is tasty and reasonably priced. Also a great Location! You can see the ocean from a few seating spots. The staff is super friendly, they’re always playing great music, and surf reels.

Quality of the breakfast is really good with very fair prices - that‘s the only reason we came that many times. Unfortunately the service is pretty bad at this restaurant. Sometimes we waited an hour to get a simple Veggie Sandwich and the waiter didn‘t really seem to care a lot about that.I‘d give it a 5 star if the service would be as good as their Acai/Breakfast bowls.

Tasty breakfast meals with a delicious vegetable juice on the side. Food was really well presented and the service was prompt. However, what I did observe was lack of cleanliness on the tables, which bothered me a small bit.

The food was delicious. We had sweet and savory dishes - from vegetarian tacos to omelette to finish off with their delicious bowls. It was so good that we came the next day to order the same thing. Highly recommend.

The good: definitely come here for juices and smoothies. It looks like its their specialty.Not so good: My poached eggs were hard boiled. I didnt know how can you mess up avocado toast so badly. 1 out of 5.

My favorite healthy breakfast spot in Puerto. The best smoothies and juices I’ve had anywhere. Get the full energy or after surf smoothie and any of the egg dishes for breakfast.

Looks good inside, fancy menu, food tastes okay. Service extremely slow. Waiting 1 hour for our order and the restaurant wasnt very full. We had no Cutlery or napkins, so we have stolen them from the neighbors desk. Paying with Visa is only possible with an extra fee of 4 %. Bill comes with the advise, that tip is not included. I will not come back.

Waited 50 minutes to get an omelette. The latte was not good - tasted like the used drip coffee. Make sure to come well before you get hungry! Otherwise, the food is tasty and the atmosphere amazing (if you don’t count all the people gazing at the waitress waiting for attention /food).

The food is great, the smoothies are also fantastic. Probably the best smoothies in Zicatela.Unfortunately, the staff is not that friendly it feels as if you have to beg them to take your order. Please note, this is based on me coming here 3 times as I truly did like the food. And it is very slow, for one smoothie and salad you will be waiting around 45 minutes to get it and about 10-15 minutes before you actually get to place your order.Do not let this discourage you from stopping by, just know you will be waiting a while.

I wanted something vegetarian, the reviews were good, and this place was as good as Id hoped.I had the veggie baguette with fries, and one of their sauces was fantastic!

I can only speak to their coffee, but their coffee was good. The menu had other intriguing options but we were already full. Service was friendly and accommodating. It is one block away from the beach and on a hill so The view of the beach is nice. the jungle/tiki motif is quaint. Prices were cheap

One of our go to places when we wanted something relabel and not in the mood to explore something new. You always know what ever you order will be awesome. For the quality of food the price is hard to beat in the main part of town.
