Good Roast, very cheap including drinks. A little disorganized and most dont know the system.

Had a great evening at the spinning wheel. Had a late bite then stayed to enjoy the live music. Lovely atmosphere, tasty food, reasonably priced.

Had a great weekend staff were great. Great music and great food I would definitely recommend to go there if ever on holiday in the area🥳

It was good with reasonable prices on a good range of beer, but no live music alas.

Food absolutely rubbish.Pizza was awful, probably from icelands low cost budget range.Go over the road next door their pizzas are much much better.

Had the best night here in years. Had a live band on called reckless! Rock band. Amazing!!! Great staff , well-done. Go it great.

Very old and well established pub. Has everything you need from a pub except free beer 😁

Need I say more , except the disgusting behaviour of so called staff ! Being told " youre not in ireland now " more less youll take your Guinness whatever way we give it 😡 remember how you earn your money . No customers = no wages or business. Sort your staff out , that type of behaviour towards ANY customer is unacceptable.

One person on bar , upstairs bar closed, queueing outside the doors, stood in queue for 15 mins decided to leave. Poorly managed on one of the busiest times for paignton.

Situated on Peignton main road area. A large place with couple of bars. Plenty of seating both inside and also a lot outside. Very busy in the summer season as it gets very busy down here. I had a fruit cider . But there is a large selection of drinks on offer. You can also get a large selection of pub food to suit most needs. I did not eat this time but may next time. Staff are good and they do smile lol. If your visiting the town I would say give it a visit.

Great family pub during the day with small childrens area. However needs more bar staff during busy spells. Advertise food but unable to deliver due to staff shortage available again after 17.30. Friendly and efficient service tho. I live locally and only came because family where visiting. Great night out tho with live bands worth a shot. 👍

Came for food and drinks with family. Great food with plenty of options. Homemade coleslaw, burgers were tasty, toasted buns and great service. Good value for money and large plates. Play park ideal for little ones. Staff work really hard to deliver a grear customer service 😁

Terrible food, bored unhelpful bar staff. Catering for any food allergies put them out, and the order when it arrived (by the 1 friendly serverDIDNT take the food allergies into account.

Food was lovely and fresh, only reason I gave it 4 stars as kept waiting for over 50mins, had to bring it to the waiters attention, it wasnt that busy !!!

We only had a drink here nice friendly people access down 3 steps plenty room outside if weather is good.

Busiest pub in Paignton on a monday night. Very busy for karaoke. Olde worlde style pub. Great friendly crowd and all appreciative of singers, bad or good.

just cancelled my 18th birthday less than 24 hours before the actual day. this is a reservation we’ve had for over 2 months now and has left us scrambling for a plan b. disgusting 😡

Have used this pub several times a week during our annual holiday for many years and always recommended it but have to say I was sorely disappointed this time. We had my 80yo father with us who underwent 12 hours of cancer surgery resulting in a stoma. After enquiring about disabled toilet facilities and being told there wasnt even so much as a bin in the mens loos, my father went to use the bathroom with the suggestion that the shortfalls could be passed on to management - and was then mocked and belittled by a group of young men and the bartender they were talking to for moaning. I was standing at the bar and they were clearly unaware that I was part of the same family so I enjoyed a grandstand view of their childish behaviour. When my daughter went into the building a short time later, it was again being discussed by the staff. Whilst the pub may not be able to provide everything a person needs, anyone with the faintest modicum of customer service ability would surely apologise for any shortcomings and enquire if anything could be provided in future to make the business more accessible, rather than laughing at someone battling life-changing disabilities. We took our custom elsewhere and I doubt well return. This was always a great pub but you have let yourselves down in this occasion and I hope youll take this on board for the future.

Lovely place,but there is a isùe with their steps going in the pub and ladies toilets,they should be painted white to make people aware.

A bit of a wait for food because they were busy but really good especially the calamari and steak sandwich Im told. Drinks were served nicely but it is a bit of a walk to bar - and steps if youre sitting outside 😳 Definitely watch out for the gulls!

Its got some good Real Ales at a realistic price ,didnt try the food,more of a Families pub, probably gets extremely busy over the weekends and School Holidays, unfortunately not for me,K

Have been coming to this Pub since mid 1980s. The interior has not really changed much. Good selection of beers, ciders etc. Food is OK and reasonably priced.

Popped in for a sneeky pint earlier on , and the misses spotted the bbq, I was a bit like I cant be bothered, after a little persuasion I got a burger, and honestly its one of the best burgers Ive had in a long time, excellent 😀

Good location on the seafront, can sit outdoors and enjoy the nice weather. The queue for the bar at sometimes was silly long (10+ peoplebut they had about 4 girls working so they did there best to keep it moving. Food was prompt once ordered and was nice pub grub.

We had a great night here Friday, staff great and food great, entertainment great aswell. Nice local pub atmosphere. Cheers

What a great Pub this is 😁I thought the food was absolutely excellent, and drinks are reasonably priced too.We had a great view for todays airshow from the balcony upstairs and the window inside upstairs too.And as a Motorcycle Enthusiast, I love the Classic Norton they have on the wall downstairs, she looks absolutely amazing 👌🥰🏍️Would highly recommend this pub to anyone 👍

For someone that lifes not all that far away I dont get to come out much as I am always working , I have not been in the spinning wheel before only had a coffee but it was nice , the pub is a good old spit and sawdust pub my kind of pub .The only thing I did not like is you had to drink out of plastic and not glass and it was not offered to you if were sitting in , but I will be going again the next time I get a day off .

Lovely venue, nice food at a good price. Saw some great live music especially the band K2 who were superb! Door staff good at dealing with “difficult” customers!

Live bands most nights with a dance floor. Check website for details. Didnt eat there just drinks. The staff were excellent. Great atmosphere all evening.

Excellent fish and chips and burger and fries. Quirky, pirate pub with dark corners, wooden beams and stools everywhere. Looks like it would be great fun of an evening

We went to the spinning wheel, hadnt been before and was disappointed. We ordered lunch and waited, and waited for our food only to be told there was a 45 minute wait which was not mentioned when we placed our order. We were so fed up with the wait and was about to ask for a refund when our food eventually appeared.The chips were cold and the bread dry.We ate our food, but I will say we didnt enjoy our experience at the spinning wheel.The staff didnt seem to care. We wont be returning there any time soon, very disappointed. Apart from the food every else was fine.

We Called in for a few beers and even though from outside its a big place inside was a nice small bar area with open fire, little lounge with pool table and open fire, and out back area was a small stage and big entertainment area again with open fire and an upstairs drinking area, lots of deco and wood furniture and lights staff are friendly and polite food is served but we didnt have any but looked nice really relaxing and we would definitely recommend and come back if we are ever in the area again.

The venue is gorgeous, massive, and the staff are all very welcoming. Food menu is large, and pretty decent. Nice play area out front to entertain the young ones. Lots of evening entertainment lined up. We went off-season so some of the locals language was a bit fruity... But they werent unfriendly - quite the opposite actually.

parked here on holiday, went inside to pay the very friendly staff and were amazed at the quirky decor inside. returned late afternoon and sat by the log fire amazed at the unique items displayed everywhere. lovely homely atmosphere, staff excellent and gave us valuable local knowledge. food was great too and very reasonably priced.they also have live music, quiz nights and cocktails every week and a pool table. something for everyone here with a warm welcome, highly recommend a visit to all

This is a nice pub they do good food, its not very good if you have difficulty walking as there are a lot of steps up to the front door, and if you are staying upstairs you have to go downstairs to order your drinks and food, then take your drinks back up the stairs. There are a few tables downstairs and access is a little bit better just a few steps down. Otherwise this is a great place to eat nice staff and a good atmosphere.

Very covid friendly. Drinks were ordered and brought to the table in a timely fashion. Enjoyed a couple of nice cold pints

Great pub with life music every evening. Good food, we had see food plate to share and hot wings (be careful, very hot!). Dog friendly. Real fire, what is good to sit by after cold walk by the beach. Very close to the beach. Definitely I can recommend.

Lucky to get a table on Easter Sunday. The carvery is the best Ive tasted so far. Everything was fabulous,5 meats,ham,lamb,beef,turkey and pork to choose and great selection of vegetables. It all tasted great.

I was going to give a good review despite not enjoying our meal. I politely spoke to the bar staff about it and they offered me compensation and we agreed on a refund for my part of the meal as it wasnt eaten. Which was gratefully received . Great customer service, very polite and willing to help. But what changed my review was this. On the way out we went to the bar to get our refund and we were verbally attacked by a older gentleman. ( I use that word looselyHe was what I can only imagine a regular. He began by making snide comments then made myself and my sister feel unwelcome and belittled for wanted a refund. He was most unhappy because (in his words"we chose spiny for our meal". Anyway the behaviour of there regulars is not there responsibility, the fact that the bar staff did not attempt to stand up for us or have a word with the gentleman in any kind of way really upset us. We were left standing there with a toddler being verbally attacked by this man for no reason other than we had dared to politely complain. Sorry spiny but this has really put a dampener on our visit. NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY!!
