We booked out a function room for an event and could be happier with our experience. Gabbi was fantastic in organising all the details, especially given the somewhat short notice. On the night, the staff were great to work with and Will made sure the even ran as smoothly as possible. We will certainly be organising future events with Spice Market - excellent team and fantastic service.

Went there last night with my bestie and had an awesome time. The only minor issues were that there wasnt much free seats to sit and everytime someone orders a bottle for a booth the DJ switched the music from some really good tunes and was frustrating. Other than that its a great club.

Beautiful interior design with lots of bird cage on the ceiling. This place is usually for hens party😂 ok a place for all occassions. Jeremy(Remyhas outstanding customer service, friendly and approachable. Thank la! 💕

We had our very very late Xmas party there on the weekend due to Covid after 2 years, and it was amazing from organising the event with Gabi, to the staff whom waited on our every need, thank you so much, the food the service the music everything about the night was amazing 👏. We held our own private function in the cleo room, which was intimate for approximately 45 pp, which l highly recommended, best Xmas party so far. Thank you so very much Spice Market and team for a memorable night.

Great venue, it was great fun, service was awesome

The place has a bautiful interior design and loved the ambience . Nice music and drinks, the dance floor is a bit crowded and too small and not much space to dance. Also there is not much seats for guests you have to pay for the VIP rooms and this is very costly. Overall experience was good.

Spice Market is the perfect place for a function. I recently had my birthday there and everyone loved it! Gabi was absolutely fantastic, helping me with all my queries and plans for the evening, and she was so responsive, making the whole experience seamless. The staff on the night were also fabulous, with a special shout out to Paulo who took good care of me and my guests. I cant recommend Spice Market highly enough!

Good venue, takes card for entry which is a big win. Carrying cash isnt always convenient.Also give guests free drink cards which is awesome!

Love the atmosphere and songs especially. Good to go on Friday nights. You should book a table to get that comfortable booth.

Weve been regular customer to spice market for years but I have to say that I am disappointed and would never go back there. I guess no wonder why it is not as busy as before...The boss lady is unprofessional and the personnel are mostly confused and are taking wrong orders. We had to repeat our order for 3 times to finally get it right.Be careful to check the order first and then pay for it. Otherwise, you wont get what you asked for.Last night we got there at 7.30 and asked for a booth as we wanted to order 2 bottles of drink and food but we were told that all booths are booked!!! We were at the bar till midnight and at least 5 booths were vacant for the whole time. Not sure why weve been told that they are booked when they were not.

Had an impromptu friday evening n had a blast..loved the vibe the decor was amazing...awesome staff great music and decent crowd...will definitely go back here soon

You can get in on a Friday night without much of a queue. But its full of dodgy guys looking who dont dance on the dance floor and looking o pick up on drunk girls. Pretty seedy feeling going there each time.

I organised our EOFY party for work at Spice Market with only a months notice as our original venue cancelled on us and it was amazing!! The venue was great, food was delicious and the staff were super friendly and accommodating. Everyone commented that it definitely worked out for the best having to change venues, we were extremely impressed. Would highly recommend for any function!!

Aesthetically this joint is awesome what a great, unique venue. Went there for a organised event and had a great night I found the staff easy going and more than capable in their demands at times.

Beautifully decorated and nice atmosphere, food is terrible though and there is a distinct lack of spice.

Turned up on a very wet Friday night with my nephew and were greeted by friendly security staff and later by a hostess down inside. The decor is beautiful by with a Moroccan/Asian fusion decor which I found to be very good. I like the tiered seating areas and also the little rooms that flow off from the main area.The venue is lit well to set the mood, yet tonight seemed as though it may have been quieter than normal.Definitely want to return and listen other music than RnB that is played on a Friday night.As for the drinks, I had one, yet it was fantastic. I had a Expresso Martini and it was best thus far that I have enjoyed at a bar. Freshly made and and adorned with three, not two coffee beans. Obviously tells that is one level higher than ones that I drank in the past.Beautiful venue and worth coming back too.

Fancy place with good crowd and nice DJ. $20 entry with 1 free drink. Dont carry any bags or will have to pay $10 for safe.

Had booked the Iris lounge for a birthday party yesterday. Great atmosphere inside, super friendly waitresses. Everyone had a blast. Great party..Only negative point. One of my guests went outside to keep the luggage of another friend who had just landed from Dubai. When they both walked in again the person who was already in previously was refused entre apparently as he was “too” drunk. So he basically walked out, told security where he was going and came in to be refused access as he was too drunk. Am sure no one was expecting we were having milk inside the venue. And agreed refusing access if my guest was misbehaving or being rude to staff, but just saying he is “too” drunk and threatening us to either leave him alone outside and continue partying OR everybody gets thrown out was extreme.Also apparently spice market owns the council’s footpath 10 metres away from its entrance on russel street as waiting for a cab there is not allowed..

Great place, great atmosphere, some people would think that drinks are a little more expensive than other places although at spice market they only use premium spirits which makes all the difference for a quality drink

We attended the spice market for a cocktail making class on Saturday night and had a ball. The cocktails were delicious and I will definitely be making them again. Our master barman was hospitable, funny and knowledgeable. Thank you for a great night!

Nice place... Great music and fast bar service. Mixed age groups, but the majority is in their late 20s.It can get a bit too hot inside hance the 4 starts only; otherwise, would have been 5 stars.

We booked a hens for a friend of ours this weekend and have had excellent communication from beginning to end.The venue is very unique with great packages available that include different levels of food & drink dependent what your looking for.The team went above and beyond to ensure our bachelorette had a night to remember, she was extremely happy with the outcome.

The ambience is surely really boho and different from a lot of clubs. The service was also really nice and quick too. But the music and overall experience could have been better if I compare it with the amount of $$ me and my friends end up spending there. The drinks are way overpriced and the the place is not value for money.

After being locked down the past four months, we ventured to this bar/restaurant on our first night allowed out. Went out with the idea that any mediocre night out will feel like the adventure of a life time, but we were actually blown away with this beautiful venue. Shout out to Heather and the rest of the staff who were extremely attentive and hard working. Would 100% come back again.

Shocked by all 5 star reviewsI hosted my birthday at this venue last night and received terrible service from multiple wait staff.Upon arrival we had to wait 45 minutes to get glasses for our table.Ordinarily I wouldnt mind however we only had a 2 hour sitting.The bottles of alcohol were just left sitting on the table to get warm with no ice buckets as well.After asking the third person for glasses she kindly brought 3 over.... For a table of 10 people...One of my guests ended up going to the bar herself to get the remaining glasses so we could all enjoy a glass of warm champagne.It was such a shame coming out of lockdown and having this kind of service on my birthday. My advice would be to look at other venues before allowing this venue to potentially ruin your birthday and a night out for your guests.

Had an amazing experience for my 25th birthday at Spice Market last night! All staff were amazing and extremely hospitable. We were made to feel very welcome by the door staff and security, the waitresses had excellent service and were very friendly. The venue itself is large and visually spectacular! Overall it was one of the best bar experiences Ive had in Melbourne and will definitely come again.

I Just had my 50th birthday at the Spice Market Night club and got 2 private Booths. The security made all my guests welcome they where amazing. The bar staff where fantastic, my personal host was amazing with me and my guest. I would also like to thank all the managers, event, bar and all the other managers for making my remarkable night .

I was able to host my birthday at Spice Market in the Cleo lounge and I couldnt be happier with the result. I worked closely with the events manager, Chloe, throughout the planning process and she was there to answer any and all questions I had (shes also one of the friendliest events workers Ive ever met). The venue itself is beautiful- photos dont do it justice. My guests all raved about the quality of the food and drinks- which I can definitely also attest to. I highly recommend this space for any special event you have coming up!

Ive been here several times for drinks and the highlight for me is the stunning interior decor.The service is always great too. The staff member behind the bar was very informative and let me know about all the specials on food and drinks. Our snacks (fried chicken and curly friescame out quickly, and they were delicious - exactly what you would want while drinking.However, Ive ordered multiple cocktails here off the menu and they are not at all to my liking. The flavour combos are strange, and always taste overly sugary.I would come back to Spice Market, but it definitely wouldnt be my first recommendation for a night out in the city. Also Id stick to spirits and give the cocktails a miss.

Great place for after work drinks. Happy hour lasts till quite late and if you are in the mood for a big night its the ideal place to go. You can go there after work have a few drinks and order food and buy the time you have loosened up with drinks the place turns into a fantastic night club. The bar staff make great cocktails but there serve time is slow and depending on the cocktail you ordered and how many other orders are ahead of you.. It might be a real long wait. Make sure you sign up as a member on their website prior to visiting as they often have great drink card specials i.e $30 for $100 drink card

Managed by a team of caring and passionate professionals, Spice Market recently catered for an event of mine, allowing us to take over the space to create the exact styling and mood we needed. It’s a great venue at the best of times, with this new era Moroccan styling and diverse menu. The space inside is huge, with a capacity of about 700 throughout the different spaces.

Always a nice place to go after work for a drink. Its quiet early on so you can sit around and have a chat with friends. They get the after work crowd on Thurs Fri so gets nice and busy.

Hosted a hens night here and got one of the hens packages/rooms. The hens entertainment was fun and everyone had a great time.The staff were very attentive and friendly and the food included in the package was amazing!The package provides a nice amount of food and non-alcoholic drinks but you may want to add additional alcoholic drinks if you have a big drinking group.Thanks spice market and staff.

Quite an interesting place to be. I dont go clubbing at all but if its your first time like me, this is a good place to check out. This looks like a club for over the age of 35yo and above. Its good to see there is a club for older people and not just for young people. A place where you can just be yourself and enjoy it. Drinks are good. Cocktails cost an average of $18. That is all I had because I was driving a few people home. There was also a house special drink which cost $10. Ambiance was good. Though I wish there were more place to sit. Got really crowded by 10pm. Music was good. I believe dress code is strict so check out their website for the requirements before going and dont forget to bring your ID.

What an awesome bar/club! The interior is so cool with some sort of Balinese/Hindu/Chinese theme which creates an overall Asian atmosphere and classiness. Friendly and helpful bar staff, good music and attentive wait staff
