Spice Court Restaurant & Bar in New Delhi
Description
Privilege
I heard about Jaipur’s laal maas alot from people. So, I decided to have it at this beautiful restaurant and to be honest I wasn’t disappointed. Its ambience and staff was amazing.Must visit this place when in Jaipur. Thanks
MoreHorrible experience overall. Poor management. Too many waiters but none to coordinate and take orders. None to coordinate to give the bill as asked. Poor quality of non-veg meat. You can feel that the management does not take the pain to ensure pleasant experience to the guests
MoreAuthentic Laal maas to drool for, very delectable and made traditionally, so tender and juicy that the meat falls off the bone like butter, very amicable team who loves to serve with love. So the best place to have Laal maas and jungle Maas in Jaipur. Would highly recommend it
MoreThis will be very chic restaurant for having a good food and spend time. They have all both the options of indoor and outdoor seating. The interior are basic but classy.A must try place for your visits pertaining to feed the hunger prangs. An easy parking spot though its outside but it has ample space. You can ask for a normal RO water which will be served cold if asked.
MoreHad a great time at Spice Court.Tried junglee maas and would highly recommend it for spicy food lovers. It will make you cry but you will keep wanting more. The ambience is very nice - outside seating with live folk music and dance, candle light and cold Jaipur night air will keep your spirits high. The service is commendable - the staff makes you feel at home, their smiles are warm and they are willing to more (provided us with curd without asking to help ease the spices).
MoreGood restaurant at hotel harimahal premises at Jacob road. Food is tasty. Fast service. Outdoor and indoor seating available. You can celebrate small parties.
MoreHad seating issues. We had the famous lal maans ... It was tender and good in taste. It didnt gave me a wow or over the top feeling..
MorePerfect place to enjoy authentic rajasthani food. This place is famous for - Laal Maas, Keema Baati, Butter Chicken.Located right in the middle of the city, it is easy to locate and provides ample space for parking. For all the people with fondness of dessert post dinner, they have the luxury of eating at Dzurt which is located within the same premise.
MoreIt is a warm place at prime location , locals may not fancy it but overall a decent area and delicious bakery would fill the gaps .
MoreFabulous restaurant. Great food. Very friendly staff. Amazing taste. Would love to visit them again.
MoreWe gave this place a try despite the recent negative reviews. We found the decor and setting to be very nice and clean. The service wasnt sharp, but at the same time - you didnt feel rushed.Food wise we ordered tandoor chicken, jungle Maas, jira rice and several breads. The tandoor chicken was decent with a nice taste. The jira rice was very good and probably the tastiest dish. The Jungle Maas was very disappointing. The meat wasnt marinated and the spices didnt combine well. The dish was well portioned, but lacked taste.Bread was crispy. A good taste. Not what you would expect if it was cooked on a tawa. But alas. The mint Paratha used dried mint however... surprising given were in India.Overall, given the price. Disappointing.
MoreFood is good not very expensive also nice and luxury ambiance
We really liked the ambience of the place with subtle decors. We tried the Keema Bati, Laal Mass, Tandoori Roti with Butter and the food was super delicious. Have heard so much about the Laal Mass of this place and it was absolutely worth it. The staff was really very courteous, friendly and polite, and we just loved the spacing between the tables, just to give the customers the much desired privacy in restaurants. Will definitely visit again when we come to Jaipur.
MoreVery comfortable place to be with friends or familyDevor us amazing with lots of old jaipur royalty pics on walls as well as other decoration itemsStaff is very polite and courteousFood quality and quantity is awesomeThey have just super delicious non veg preparations not to miss lal Maas and keema baatiTables are placed a bit far so one can enjoy ones privacy and not feel cluttered like a typical restaurant they even serve out in open where they have greens and one can enjoy candle light under moon light mealsI will say Spice Court you Rock.Ps. Even they are very reasonable in their rates compared to the quality and taste of food they serveYes service is a bit slow some times specially when you order second round of rotis etc . Better to order in time
MoreSomehow always struggled with good food in Jaipur, since I dont eat fried. Discovering spice court corrected this. Love their Rajasthani and other north indian selection. The service is polite and courteous.Basically going back next time in the city.
MoreTHE FOOD WAS AMAZING, mouth watering, out of the world I can go on and onThe staff behaved excellent, they were nice and adjusted to our needsThe tables were nice because of their designI liked it so much I went there twiceMUST GO
MoreNothing in the place is bad. Good pleasing decor, polite staff, good food and lots of care for the customer.Visited twice in a single day!
MoreIt is an average place for the price youll have to pay. The place looks good, but the order waiting time is way too high. I have been going here for quite some time and I feel their service needs alot of improvement. The food is fine. Do not try the fish, its not fresh and it smells.Specifically when last time I visited this place, I ended up finding a hair in my food. I very politely informed the waiter. He didnt even respond to my complaint and took away the plate immediately. I latter informed another staff who came with the check, and he completely denied even the existence of such thing. Which I felt was quite weird.
MoreThe place is so pleasing. Such nice vibes and food loved it💫✨
The ambience is fantastic as always but the quality and taste of the food has gone down and prices have also gone up. The junglee maas we ordered this time was hardly spicy and nowhere as tasty as it used to be in past. The paneer we ordered was also hard and gravy was passable. I have been coming here for years but I guess its time to stop visiting.
MoreFood is worth the wait! Keema bhati and laal maas are legendary. If you’re in Jaipur or travelling through, this is the place to be. Authentic Rajasthani cuisine.
MoreAmazing food ❤️ 😋 must try is their Kheema stuffed bati with Ghee on top, its just out of the world and their Laal Maas with any Indian breads of your choice is an explosion of flavours in your mouth.
MoreAmbience is good but the taste has been changed for signature dishes. I tried Kair Sangri Rajasthani special here but disappointed after knowing about change in taste. My friend ordered Laal Maas which was also not that great.
MorePlace is alright.. They operate from 12pm and not 11am. One time visit to banta hai.
MoreDirty & old Washroom although it was totally packed at my time of visit still management needs to make sure that washrooms are clean. Its ok for large groups as they have large cover. Not too much suitable for kids and couples. Cant comment on food quality as I was there for tea only which unfortunately was served cold
MoreWe wanted to have some authentic Rajasthani food here in Jaipur. Most people recommend veg options but we desperately wanted.non veg Rajasthani being hard core non vegetarians! Google showed us that no reservations were available and so we called the place. They told us that we had to wait and thought might as well give it a shot. We waited about 20-30 min got a table and had the most amazing kheema bhati and lal Maas ever in our life! The place is so classy. Charming interiors which reminded me of the old British restaurants in Kochi. Good service. They also have a cute patisserie next door if you wanna grab something sweet. Must go to this place at least once if you are in Jaipur. Worth the wait, time and travel.
MoreWe (family of 4went for Lunch to this so called, "Fine-dining restaurant" on 22nd Dec 2021.1. The disappointment and negative started from the dining hall itself. The ambiance was made measurable, so dull and dark, no natural light no bulb or Chandelier was on.2. Menu included few wines and just 4 beers from 2 brands (King fisher & Bira-91But the irony was even they were not stocked (What a disappointment), serving only Bira-91 White. Why? May be better returns3. We ordered Janglee-maas with great enthusiasm, but what was served is nothing more than red Chilly Chutney with whole garlic (photo attached). One needed to dive in to the ball to find maas Mutton).4. Veg biryani was horridly made veg pulao in which haldi was still uncooked.5. Dal-makkhani was served cold. When asked to reheat it, it was still brought cold.6. Worst of all, we requested the staff to pack almost full bowls of Janglee maas and butter chicken. However, when reached home, there was hardly anything packed, God knows where rest of the food vanished.Over all Spice Court is located at best of the location in Jaipur but with lousy staff and careless chef who thinks anything goes and his customers are idiot.EXTREAMLY DISAPPOINTED.
MoreHighly recommended….. wat a taste👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻every dish is tasty here….👍👍👍
MoreVery good food not too spicy.Waiting time is little more.Ambience is good.A bit pricy but not for food lover.
MoreGreat food and ambience. Some guests did not comply with no-smoking regulation and did not sue the designated smoking areas. The management can probably make this regulation clearer to people who don’t comply. We were ably taken care by Mr. Vikram who was hospitable and knowledgable. Thanks to him and the rest of the staff.
MoreProbably the only time I have regretted leaving a tip (and I am ex-hotels).Prepare to wait half hour plus for your reserved table. Please CONFIRM your online discounts (they could forget, and “once a bill is printed…lol”.Would not suggest unless you’re a local who wants to go to a highly rated, albeit shabbily served place. Is pretty. Food is alright.
MoreMutton bati , Lal maas and rogan josh must try, rest chicken dishes are average in taste. Service is quite good.
MoreThe food and ambience here is brilliant. 10/10 should go. We went on Christmas, so there was a waiting time but seats were arranged within 20 minutes. The service was quick and fast. Its best to reserve a table. Otherwise a great experience with tasty food.
MoreI searched for Laal Maas, and this was nearest place google showed me. Undoubtedly one of the best mutton I have ever tasted, soft, delicious and still hold its shape. Worth every penny!!But is it normal here to ask tip... Because in kolkata we only tip where we like the service, noone ask for tip. I thought it is the normal courtesy.
MoreA great and wonderful place in the pink city of Jaipur. The ambience is fantastic and the food is also delicious. Friendly staff make the invoice experience overall very very enjoyable! Definitely a go!
MoreWhen it cones to authentic Rajasthani Laal Maans, a few places have made it to the hall of fame. Spice Court is one of them. Its a posh restaurant with both indoor and outdoor dining, the latter available in the evening. The menu is crisp and brief, unlike most other restaurants where a lot of items are on offer which mostly turn out to be iterative. I liked that. Now about the food;-The Laal Maans owes its name from its appearance. Its a madhouse of spices! The first flavour that strikes you is the sour taste. Following the sour note you taste all the other spices. This dish is an uncanny blend of sour and hot flavours. The hot flavour dominates towards the end as it passes down the throat. This is not the regular hot flavour of green chilli or pepper but this is more sort of dry and punchy hot flavour of dried rajasthani chillies that kicks in from down the throat; perfectly parallels the climate of Rajasthan, dry and sultry. Best had with tandoori roti or laccha paratha or steamed rice.I tried it with both tandoori roti and lachha paratha. The lachha paratha is fried in pure ghee.I tried their gulab jamun too. Its served hot. This place is definitely not a cheap place to dine out. But the foid is good. The staff is courteous and professional. The floor manager is very welcoming and didnt keep a stone unturned in order to make me feel at home. I liked that.Bottomline - This is a costly but nice place to visit on a weekend night and the laal maans is a must try.
MoreHis place is recommended to me by a friend for it laal means ( which we didn’t end up ordering). We ordered two dishes here keema baati and some potato 🥔 dish 🍽(warning for the light hearted - this dish is super spicy 🌶.Keema baati - minced lamb with spices stuffed with in a wheat 🌾 flour ball, and deep fried to get a hard outer shell, served with Laal gravy. There is nice sitting area outside next to a garden that is open for service in the evening. And I would rate both the dishes 4.5 out of of 5, but you should really visit the place it is really awesome and the food and service was soo good.
MoreI experienced delicious main course and a caring staff. I visited this place with friends for a Dinner 🍲. We were delighted by the authentic Indian main course. The food and flavour were really impressive for a Non Vegetarian. I quite like the service but pity n waiting time to get the table. Entrance was beautifully decorated along with Rajasthani folk music 🎵. Wr ordered Bhuna Chicken 🐔 which comes with thick gravey and Butter Nan along with Tandoori Roti. Food was really delicious. They also serve alcohol so its a one of the best place to enjoy music, food & alcohol with friends and family. Enjoy👍
MoreThis is DHABA and not fine Dining. They served STALE mutton for Lunch, when I asked them, the manager told it was last Nights dinner. They got the laal Maas in 5mins, so I had my suspicion. The Manager and staff were totally UNAPOLOGETIC, about it and told they will check and come back. Obviously which never happened. The staff there isnt trained and provide authentic DHABA service...while I was having food, manual SCAVENGING of drain was also going on, which added to the aromas of the stale food.
MoreOnly place in Jaipur to relish amazing Kheema batti. We also loved stuffed Govind Gatta. Ambience was very royal and peaceful. Moreover the price is also very reasonable. I would surely recommend must visit place for dining in Jaipur. There is also wide parking area.
MoreWe were a late walk in around 9pm so only got to see a little of the live music, we sat outside which was nice. Food was good we tried the local / chefs selection it was super spicy and not as much taste.
MoreVisited two times already and love the food! The first time I insisted on trying the Junglee Maas although the waiter tried to convince me otherwise for 10 minutes😅 When I got it, I understood why: pure chili! Tastewise it was great, the mutton really tender. But I have never eaten anything more spicy before and tried to clean the mutton from chilli before eating 😄This time we tried the Laal Maas, one of my all-time favourites. It was super tender and was super yum!The Murgh Malai Tikka was great as well.Great service and nice colonial ambience.
MoreThe BEST in JaipurA restaurant which gives Peace. Best location in lots of greenery and clean air in pollution free environment. They have all kind of food collections with BAR. Having dinner in winter days is something special here.Always worth going. Would love to visit again.
MoreSpice Court is a nice place for a relaxed meal with friends and family. We had specially gone there to have their famous Lal Maas and we were surely not dissappointed. The food was delicious. The decor was subtle and pleasing. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating with a Rajasthani folk dance performed by a local troop. Overall, a good experience.
MoreWhat a place to be at! Everything on spot. Crazy good food, top class service, great ambience and so much peace.... You wouldnt want to come back. I tried their ever so famous laal Maas with butter naan and boy! I was transported to some other world in the first bite itself! The meat so tender that Id fall off and yet cooked to so much perfection that it held the bones!! The gravy and its consistency was perfect. If not the price, Id eat it every freaking day. A must go to place if youre in jaipur. Just that its a tad bit expensive.
MoreThe most sought after and legendary restaurant in Jaipur for the Laal Maas it serves. We just went around and asked a few locals in the city to Recommend us the best place to have Laal Maas and everyone just had Spice Court on their lips!My friends regularly visit Jaipur for business and not even once they have returned without dining at this restaurant in Civil Lines so this time I tagged along and being a hardcore foodie, the goal was to try the best Jaipur had to offer.Ambience - 5/5This is the kind of restaurant I love visiting. The one which has lavish interiors and opens up to a huge garden. There was some folk dance being done by some local entertainers, which is the true spirit of Rajasthani hospitality. I loved the overall ambience. Minimalistic and yet so captivating.Food - 5/5Started our dinner with Tomato Shorba and orderedthe Laal Maas and Dal Makhani alongwith Indian breads for main course.Highly Recommended. Perfect flavour and spices.Service - 5/5The stewards at Spice Court are very well trained and display high degree of professionalism. They give you the royal treatment and justify the theme of this restaurant. Good work team!
MoreExcellent Ambience and lovely food! Went there for dinner and was really happy with the overall experience. The staff is polite and friendly. Decided to go ahead with the recommendation of the attendant. The mutton kebabs were delicious! A touch pricy but good quantity and quality. Recommended!
MoreGreat ambience and amazing food you will find here. Live music was there Rajasthan folk performance. Service and decore was too good. Its a.multi cuisine restaurant so you will find everything of your taste. Interesting mocktails and cocktails in the menu makes it a good place to hangout.
MoreTrust me,this place has been awarded as the best restaurant in Jaipur! You can just imagine how good their taste is! There’s no doubt about their taste. It’s the only restaurant i had visited that provides quantity with quality. And we can even consider this as inexpensive.
MoreWhat a dinner !!! Nice huge place. Excellent ambience. Beautiful furniture. Helpful well trained staff. And food..... WOW. Chicken junglee. Hot. A festival of flavours. Murg makhnee - best I ever had. I have had murg makhnee in the best of Indian restaurants in the world. Laal maans- wow. Portions good enough for a big family. We left part of two main course dishes. All spices used were of excellent quality. The serving staff was extremely well trained and soft spoken.Extremely clean toilets. White.Big garden for a walk or separate smoking space.Waiting area.Everything was as expected.Worth spending 5000 rupees/ 80 $ for a family of five including two beers and a breezer.Solid, well earned 5 stars.
