When in Leeuwarden, a must visit! The owners and staff can tell you everything about beers and will have a nice beer you like for you. When youre from around, a perfect place to meet up with friend and play a game :)

Simply the best craft beer joint in Leeuwarden. We found our favorite beers from Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands! (Also, the best bitterballenSuper friendly staff, and we even met the owners.

For the TLDR: generation:Brilliant specialty beer pub with very nice and knowledgeable staff in a cosy environment!For every one else:Wandered in here without knowing it was a specialty beer pub (walked around the city, started getting thirsty, noticed people drinking on a terrace, so walked in).Only to be greeted by a very homely pub, with all the signs and menus showing that it, indeed, was a specialty beer pub 😃. What followed was a _very_ pleasant two hours of my life, which only remained two hours, because they were closing early on Sundays... Boo... 😁 Hiss...😁One of the first things I noticed was a cat walking around, which turned out to be the housecat, and which was imaginatively called "Cat"😁. Very friendly animal, frequently jumping up customers laps to be petted and stroked. Only mentioning this because it enhanced the already homely atmosphere the pub was radiating.Had (amongst othersthe most amazing sour beer there, which was incidentally also a local beer (kudos Grutte Pier 👍). I liked it so much I asked if I could take home a couple of bottles, but they didnt have the license to sell beers to be taken away. They did however provide me with a name and a map to the local booze supply shop, which might still have and sell these bottles. Thank you 😘!All in all an enormously pleasant experience, and one that made me decide to come back to the city of Leeuwarden (which was an unexpected positive surprise anywayand to this pub!Thank you and hopefully see you soon!

Impressive list of beers, great accommodating staff.

Great place. Huge selection of beers both international and local. Good selection of appetisers to go with the beers. Nice atmosphere and great decoration. Friendly staff. They even stayed open a bit longer on a slow night so we could stay, which is really nice. Would recommend. (En dat ik een level 6 local guide ben was geen grap ;).)

Friendly staff, goes into detail about their specials, the owner knows a lot about the products. Good atmosphere. Original bathroom which wasnt crowded.

No ciders but the waitress was super helpful and helped me find something I liked. Fun atmosphere and different to see.

A cosy place with a nice selection of local and international craft beers. Good seating spots, and there are some board and card games you can play. Nice staff and good service.

Great selection of craft beer, very friendly service, and one of the few places in the Netherlands I found that accepted mastercard (which is a big plus. It seems Mastercard is useless in the Netherlands). Came here every day during my visit to Leeuwarden and I was never disappointed.
