Great teachers, good programme!

As a quadrilingual German banker I’ve spent two weeks at the Academia El Capitan in Las Palmas GC in July 2020 to deepen my grammatical skills in Spanish. Prior to my time at various universities I have attended countless language schools in the UK and France. Long story short, here are my marks. People: Eli (teacherand Monika (adminhave done an outstanding job. Competence and motivation is 10/10. Special thanks to Eli, though, for her incredible patience with me, teaching me 8 hours per day (Hessischer Bildungsurlaub). Classes: grammar, oral, listening and writing exercises, various outdoor events. 10/10 Equipment: TV flat screens, videos, email communication 9/10. Students: from all over the world. Premises: modern/elegant. Location: LP downtown, close to taxi, main bus station and parking lots 10/10. LP is a fairly big city, offering anything you may be looking for. Good climatic conditions (23-28CNote that GC island is a low risk Corona area. In sum I’d strongly recommend this school to my friends. I wish the Academia all the best. Thanks all for everything. It was so much fun.

In February 2020 I had a great time learning Spanish at this language school (level A2). The team is young, motivated and committed to their work. The groups are usually quite small which makes your learning experience really intense. Different teaching techniques and methods are used to keep your motivation and language in focus. The organization before my stay was super easy and the email responses very fast.

I really enjoyed the 3 weeks Spanish course that I did in El Capitán. Apart from greatly improving my Spanish, I had a lot of fun with the external activities promoted by the school: we travelled across the island, went to museums and learned a lot about the local culture and history.I highly recommend this school.

I went to El Capitán for 4 weeks to learn Spanish!I had such an amazing experience. I had 2 teachers within my time there (Angel & Pilar). They were both sensational and very patient with me as it was my first time learning a language other than English. I also became friends with a lot of the students there as well :)While all the students varied slightly in ability the classes were structured to help each individual get the most out of class.The amount of classes/time you have in class depends also on class size.I enjoyed having classes in the morning and having all afternoon to explore Las Palmas and the surrounding areas.The school also organises tours around Las Palmas and some other towns which are great and informative! (At a small extra cost)Apart from the course, I also really enjoyed living in Las Palmas! The bars, cafes, beaches, surfing, friendly people and a relaxed lifestyle.I highly recommend this school for anyone looking to learn Spanish. I hope to come back one day!

Ich habe hier zwei Wochen lang einen A1-A2 Kurs besucht. Von Zusammensetzung der Gruppe, über die Unterrichtsstunden bis hin zu den Angebotenen Exkursionen war alles sehr gut. Klasse Organisation und Danke an die Schulleitung :)Der Unterricht wurde humorvoll gestaltet und trotz teils trockener Themen nie langweilig. Jeder wurde im Unterricht regelmäßig zum spanisch sprechen aufgefordert (das wichtigste meiner Meinung nach ;). Das Gelernte konnte bei Aktivitäten außerhalb der Schule und Spielen zusätzlich geübt werden.Der gesamte Umgang war sehr Familiär und angenehm. Insgesamt tolle zwei Wochen. Vielen Dank an nochmal explizit an unseren Lehrer Arturo. Er hat den Unterricht wirklich toll und Abwechslungsreich gestaltet, so dass man jeden Morgen gerne zum Unterricht gekommen ist.

Sehr gute Schule. Nette und kompetente Lehrer, kleine Gruppen, abwechlungsreiches Programm. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Ich habe von Juli bis August 2019 an 2 Kursen teilgenommen (A1-A2). Die Atmosphäre war humorvoll und familiär. Die Lehrer/innen zeigten sich engagiert, kompetent, freundlich und zugewandt. Sie verstanden es, die Teilnehmer/innen zu motivieren sowie geduldig auf deren Verständnisfragen einzugehen. Die Theorie wurde durch praktische Anteile (Spiele und Exkursionenaufgelockert. Zudem wurden einem hilfreiche Tipps zum Erlernen der Sprache mit auf dem Weg gegeben. Für mich hat sich die Investition gelohnt. Vielen herzlichen Dank an das gesamte Team

I visited an intensive A1 course in July 2019 and it was absolutely an amazing time.I learned and improved my spanish day by day thanks to the fantastic work of Angel and Monika.The classes are structured, we learned grammar, vocabulary and communication at the same time. We repeated regularly what we learned before and got answers for each question. Angel&Monika are perfect teachers who pay attention for the students very honestly and try to provide the best learning for everyone.The atmosphere of the classes are friendly and warm, I felt at home at the language school every day.I highly recommend the language school to everyone!In addition we had amazing optional cultural programmes. These events were also super helpful to get closer to the spanish culture and to the local canarian life. We visited wonderful and interesting places and learned a lot about the history of Canary Islands.Last,but not least we went to the best places to eat local food, everything was super delicious :)I will certanly return to further classes in the future!xoxoxo Ildikops: I had the luck to celebrate my birthday on the last day of the course with the class, it will be always a memorable time!

I visited this school in summer 2019 and can only recommend the place, which combines both professional and dedicated teachers and a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Inclass training takes you right to where you want and additional outdoor activities help you practise your knowledge. Absolutely the first choice for learning Spanish !

I followed this intensive Spanish course during 2 months in the beginning of the Year. For me It was of an excellent quality and it prepared me to understand and really express myself in Spanish.Our teacher Angel did a wonderful job. My group varied from 6 to 8 persons and he gave everyone the attention and support we needed in a good atmosphere, with a nice sense of humour and a big personal interest. This guy likes his job!Strongest points were the outdoor sessions where we were forced to speak our first Spanish phrases with real Spanish people. I also liked the cultural excursions and a couple of times we also visited good tapas restaurants.Best thing was the group with people with really different backgrounds, jobs, cultures and characters. Angel made us talk to each other, explaining our lives, ideas, convictions and even sometimes emotions. We were our own colourful conversation topics and that made this course not only very useful but also an experience never to forget.

Ich war im Februar 2019 für zwei Wochen in Las Palmas. Den Unterricht und die Unterkunft habe ich direkt über die Homepage gebucht. Hat alles super geklappt und sofort war ein herzlicher Kontakt da. Mein Appartment war sehr groß und neu eingerichtet. Eine Woche hatte ich dies für mich allein, die zweite Woche hatte ich eine sehr nette Mitbewohnerin. Die Lage des Appartments war optimal inder nähe von Strand, Restaurants und eines Shoppingcenters.Der Unterricht hat mir viel Spas gemacht. Wir waren eine bunte Truppe aus verschiedenen Ländern. Neben dem klassischen Unterricht wurde auch ein Tag in einem Museum gelernt.Abgerundet wurde das Angebot durch tolle Freizeitaktivitäten. Ich komme gerne wieder! Hasta la proxima!

Wonderful, enthusiastic teachers and a rich, cultural programme that includes guided tours, museum visits and trips to local markets - highly recommended for a 360 experience of Spanish life in Gran Canaria. Academia El Capitán really made my language learning fun!

Two months of studying is over. I miss my teachers, classmates and believe it or not, I miss the lessons. Great way to learn Spanish, learn the local culture and meet many wonderful new friends from all over the world.Kaks kuud õppimist on läbi. Ma igatsen oma õpetajaid, klassikaaslasi ja usu või mitte igatsen õppimist. Suurepärane võimalus õppida hispaania keelt, õppida kohalikku kultuuri ja kohtuda paljude uute suurepäraste sõpradega üle maalima.

Jeg har hatt en skikkelig flott opplevelse av å være på språkskolen "Academia el Capitán". Da jeg bestemte meg for å dra til Gran Canaria ville jeg prøve å bo i på et område av øya som ikke var så turistifisert og endte opp med å ta kontakt med denne språkskolen som ligger i Las Palmas.Språkskolen leier ut rom i noen leiligheter slik at et opphold over lengre tid ikke trenger å bli så dyrt. Her hadde de alt du trengte som kjøkkenutstyr, sengesett med trekk osv. I leiligheten bodde jeg sammen med folk på min egen alder. Vi dro sammen med buss til språkkurset om morgenen og hadde i perioder leid bil som vi brukte til å besøk ulike deler av øya på dagtid. Jeg hadde ikke trodd at en måned alene på Gran Canaria skulle by på så mange nye venner og et såpass sosialt liv, samtidig som jeg lærte spansk. Det å kunne bo sammen med andre fra kurset gjennom språkskolen var helt genialt.Undervisningen var veldig god og størrelsen på klassene varierte. Da jeg var her var vi aldri mer enn 3 stk i klassen, noe som var veldig fint mtp fremgang i språket. Vi jobbet etter hva klassen ønsket å lære hvor vi snakket, skrev og leste høyt. De som jobber her har faglig relevante utdannelser innen språk og er flinke til å formidle. Midt i undervisningsdagene hadde vi pauser hvor vi alle gikk til en nærliggende cafe. Her snakket vi spansk med hverandre. Dette var et veldig fint avbrekk, samtidig som kunne lære mer.Skolen arrangerte også utflukter av forskjellige slag en dag i uken. Her dro vi bla på Flamenco, til kaffeplantasje og på fjelltur. Hver fredag foregikk undervisningen "Live" ved at vi fikk utdelt ark og måtte besvare spørsmål ute i gatene av Las Palmas. Dette lærte jeg utrolig mye av.Ellers er det bare å si at de som driver språkskolen er utrolig behjelpelige med hva enn det måtte være. Dette er en språkskole med det lille ekstra og mer, som jeg håper på å få besøke igjen, så snart som mulig:)

I had a great time in school, especially because of a very nice teacher Reyes. She has been super supportive; changing our activities very effectively. I also like that we worked in a small group, so you can really get a lot in a short time.

Spanish course (A1-A2at El Capitán exceeded all my expectations. Skilled and very professional teachers, great cultural program and accommodation just at the beach. Learning Spanish has never been more fun and efficient. Thank you Capitánes for all your efforts and time.

こちらの学校で約1ヶ月間ですけれども楽しくスペイン語を学ぶことができた。私が入った時は 3人と先生一人と少なかったんですけれども本当に効率的な授業を行うことができました。まこちらの学校はできて2年ほどで初めての日本人の学生を受け入れたということで これからどんどんアジアから こちらの大西洋のハワイで何か学びたいと思う時には是非こちらの学校を私はお勧めします。島自体は本当に日本人は10人もいない 5人ぐらいだと私は思ってますあとは中国人の方が全然多いんですけれども韓国人も少ないですし 、いろんな意味でどっかもハワイに比べて安いですしこちらの方が私は楽しめると思います。是非 休みがありましたらこちらのグランカナリア島来て素晴らしいバケーションをこちらで送っていただき、そしてちょっとでもスペイン語に興味があったらこちらの学校 問いただして 、いただければと思います。それでは今日も1日素敵なグランカナリア島で素晴らしい日差しを浴びて過ごして下さいジプシーともでした。🤠

Ich habe Ende letzten Jahres für vier Wochen einen Sprachkurs (Nivel B1an der Schule gemacht und bin begeistert! Der Kurs war für mich genau richtig, um vor allem meine Grammatikkenntnisse zu vertiefen und viel zu sprechen. Der Unterricht ist ein Mix aus Grammatik, Hör- und Leseverständnis sowie Konversation. Darüber hinaus lernt man im Rahmen von außerschulischen Aktivitäten sehr viel über die kulturellen Besonderheiten der Insel. Im Allgemeinen habe ich mich wahnsinnig wohl gefühlt, während meines Aufenthaltes in Las Palmas. Die Atmosphäre war super familiär und sehr herzlich :Ich habe dort wirklich sehr viel gelernt und ganz tolle Leute kennengelernt!!! Ich hoffe, dieses Jahr noch den B2-Kurs machen zu können :)

I studied with the school for one month in March. I loved every minute of my time in there and wish I could have stayed for longer. If you are considering to study Spanish I recommend this school 100%! Friendly staff, organised activities and enjoyable and engaging lessons. Muchas gracias!

I stayed 3 weeks in this lenguage school and it was Amazing. I would recommed it to everyone. I stayed in a super nice Apartment and the courses given were super good so i learned a lot. Moreover, we did great activities in the afternoon and saw a lot of Gran canaria. I will definately come back !

Not only is one improving her/his Spanish skills tremendously thanks to enormously skilled teachers but "El Capitán" also offers a wide variety of cultural programs in order to get to know the countrys history, its culture and experience the diversity of the Island. I can only highly recommend spend at least two weeks over there and also staying at their appartements is extremely recommendable.

Habe ich einer psychopathischen Lügnerin begegnet? Bisher bin ich noch total verdutzt . Nachdem der Unordnung (2 Mals treulose Preisangeboten +2 Mals wortbrüchige Überweisung der Stornierung ich erlebte, hatte ich mehre Kognition über Menschlichkeit, Grins :[ ein guter Start (5 Star )+ ein Unhappyending(1Star]/2= 3 Star is it unfair? Yes, it is very fair. :*ich habe keinen Bock auf zusätzliche Quatsch zu schauen. Quatsch bleibt Quatsch, oder?在我读的这一个月里毫无任何让我觉察莫妮卡是个骗子的迹象，很热情的一个女人，然而在我说我要再来的时候，她马上表示我读的这个月是特价期，以后要提到原价，还提出给我降价一百欧，我一再问她还有没有特价期，她都说今年都不会有特价了，等我真的要买课程的时候，她只给我降了七十五欧，我也没说她什么。结果没几天，她就搞特价了，我问她，你不是说不搞特价了吗？原意是想让她用特价给我即可，结果她翻脸退款。每天都骗我退款，反复骗我好几次也没有退款，后来还是她的姘头阿亨给我退款的。这女人莫不是个精神病吧？

I had just have a great experience in this school learning spanish. The teachers was professional and very nice. The method of teaching was a mixture of a fun time and learning. It was worth doing these courses - now I definetly know more.And Gran Canaria by it selfe is a great place to spend holidays by learning languages.LT:Puiki mokykla, norintiems išmokti ispanų kalbą ir tuo pačiu metu smagiai praleisti laiką. Mokytojai - profesionalūs ir pasiruošę padėti mokymosi proceso metu. Mokymosi aplinka jauki ir nesukelianti streso. Mano laikas čia buvo labai produktyvus - dabar tikrai ispaniškai kalbu geriau. Šie kursai taip pat suteikė pasitikėjimo naudojant ispanų kalbą.O Gran Kanarija - tiesiog žavinga!Un beso!

Eine Sprachschule mit tollem Konzept aus Sprachkurs, Exkursionen und Leben unter Einheimischen. Die Schule liegt zentral zwischen Teatro und Parque San Telmo und ist aus allen Richtunen gut mit Bussen zu erreichen. Kurse sind in neuen Räumen und mit kleiner Teilnehmerzahl (war zu viert, aber auch nur zweit, ist stressiger, aber man lernt viel)Das WG Zimmer war in einer tip-top sauberen Wohnung in ruhiger Lage nahe der Canteras Strandpromenade. Die Inhaber der Schule sind sehr engagiert mit Ausflügen auf der Insel, gemeinsamen Kino-, Theater- und Restaurantbesuchen bzw. aktuellen Veranstaltungen. Es waren vier abwechslungsreiche Wochen die ich jedem empfehlen kann, der mit seinem Spanisch gut vorwärtskommen will.

Ich habe die Schule im Januar 2018 besucht.Es gibt Orte und Zeiten, die man nicht vergisst.Der Unterricht war sehr gut (Grammatik aufgefrischt, viel Konversation)Während Ausflügen viel Information über Kultur, Geschichte, aktuelles Leben der Kanaren erhalten.Unterkunft Nähe Meer / zentral und sehr schön!Kurz, ich bin begeistert von dieser Schule und ich danke der Leitung (Angel und Monikaund Allen nochmals ganz herzlich!

This language school is more than good! You get everything you need to learn the language and get to know the history and culture on Gran Canaria. The teachers are patient and helpful. The classes are build up with different methods to learn which brings some variation. The daily coffee break gives you the chance to talk Spanish outside of the classroom. The owner is kind and makes you feel home right away. All the cultural activities are thought through and well prepared. The activities on Fridays are difficult when you are a total beginner, but it is possible to manage and only helps you with your Spanish. The classes are small enough to get a lot of attention, tiring but so worth it! All in all the perfect place and school to learn Spanish.

Best experience ever. Very professional... and I feel like in a big family. I love the extra program, they offer for the students, to also get to know the culture of the island. Highly recommended, if you plan to do intense language classes.
