Contemporary chain dining room with a 60-year history, serving Italian pizza and pasta dishes.
My daughter says, “Thank you for all the lovely food! “Spaghetti house is a great place for best Italian food. We had spaghetti bolognaise, another carbonara and a calamari fritti and it was all exceptional.I had given 5 stars but reduced it to 3 stars because of staff ignorance during bill payment. The staff asked me whether we pay together or separate. They need to know how to identify and treat a mixed race family and not ask such inappropriate questions!
This is not at all an a Italian restaurant, they didnt know what means Italian cuisine. I ordered arancini... What arrive ? A mini rise ball, Im from Sicily and those there wasnt arancini at all, dont call Italian cucine you destroy years and years of history. Than I ordered others food .. even worse than before.. I absolutely do not recommend it.
Spaghetti House, an Italian restaurant..well...they have to put much more effort to call it Italian... . Restaurant look nice, but they need to clean it more, as a salt grinder was horribly dirty and sticky. The starter, arancini are not proper made, very small, average taste. In both pastas as a main, cacio e pepe and spaghetti with meatballs, the sauce was very watery. Cacio e pepe was just butter taste rather than cheese. Spaghetti had different sauce then meatballs and put one next to another.. okay.. . There was a distinct aftertaste of some flavor enhancer, very salty. Its the first time that the main hasnt been finished because was uneatable.Service very poor. I rejected to pay the service as it wasnt enough to pay over 13,5%... Member of the staff just took the plates away without wondering how was the meal.I regret every minute spent there but I will remember this restaurant for a long time.Disappointed!!
I have never been to a Spaghetti house before but we had no other plans and there was a long queue outside the store so we thought it must be good and we should try it. Sadly, the food really bad. We had the Carbonara and ended up going to the wall to get the salt, pepper, tabasco sauce and anything else we could find to give it some flavour. Really disappointed. The service wasn’t great but the servers looked very busy and overworked so I don’t blame them. They also add their own service charge which is never appreciated.
For central London the 3 course set menu for £25.00 was very good value.Service was a little slow and they brought the dessert before the main course hence a 4* rating
Food and service were OK for a busy time for them. I had tagliatelle with fungi and my partner had lasagne both of which seemed freshly cooked and were flavoursome.
Busy restaurant but warm welcome, service was quick but not rushed. Food was lovely, prices reasonable with a good choice of wine/drinks. Our daughter couldnt finish her pizza and the staff were happy to box it up as a take away. Would definitely eat here again.
Excellent dinner, sadly service wasnt so good as they had forgotten our main meals and had to ask but then apologies were given with a free drink, this wouldnt stop me coming back as food was loveky
Brilliant location, lovely food and really friendly and attentive staff. You could do a lot worse in this part of London. Great time and food had by all.
My husband and I visited this restaurant on 30th September 2022. Having booked over a month before our visit we were really looking forward to it. We had tickets for the theatre and chose this restaurant as it looked lovely. How disappointed we were. There wasn’t anything that was good!!!! The food was bland - awful!!!! The service was diabolical and when we complained we were told that it wasn’t their fault as they were understaffed!!!! Absolute rubbish as the staff were standing around doing very little. We asked to be moved and were totally ignored. I informed the manager that I didn’t want to pay and he just gave me an email address to complain to. I have since complained and heard nothing!!!!! I will now be taking my grievances to the Retail Ombudsman and I will make sure that I review this restaurant with the negativity they deserve. I have never had such poor service and food in a restaurant before like this one!!!!! Their customer care is non existent. Avoid at all costs
Food was good no problems with the food. Services was poor waited ages to get served after seating and when question they seems to not care. And charge services charge
Food is nice portion. I ordered the seafood pasta in tomato sauce and it was so good - pasta was fresh.service were good and quick. Toilet was clean
Small and (veryaffordable Italian restaurant with a lot of specials on their menu card besides the pizzas and pastas. The people are very friendly and flexible. Their kitchen is small, so take into consideration when you are with a larger group (8+that you may not get every plate served simultaneously. In our case this happened, but it was announced and the delay was small and completely acceptable. And did I mention; The quality of all the various dishes we had, was excellent!Surely a repeatable location in my Go To restaurants in London.
Very nice staff lovely food very quick to get us seated as possible even tho we hadnt booked a table
Absolutely fake Italian food and also over-expensive! The lady (manager I guesswas rude and not smiling at all. The seats and environment is not comfortable too. Had stomach pain after coming home and I guess the meat and sauce weren’t fresh. Never going back again and don’t even recommend anyone to visit them :|
The food was ok (coming from two Italianbut the service was not excellent. One waitress was nice while the other one only with locals. She was very annoyed by us and rude.
Really lovely find on the edge of Covent Garden. Friendly helpful staff who ensured we were happy with our visit. This was a late lunch stop in the midst of a tiring day. Lots of people watching to be had from such a great vantage point. The food was delicious, we will definitely return
Had to wait over an hour for food. Had carbonara which was average, kids penne in tomato and basil which was nice and kids spaghetti bolognaise which was also low on flavour. 13.5% discretionary service charge added.
The best place for the best pasta. I was there today for dinner . Even though I was alone they welcomed meSpagheti carbonara was the right choice .A friendly waitress with curly hair served me . Staff was really nice and the place was comfortableWas my first time here
Amazing service, the place was full but we still got attention and our food really fast. Was very tasty as well.
The waitress forgot to put through our mains order. Waited 50mins, no food. They acknowledged it was their fault and the only way they rectified the issue was by removing their small service fee of 5%. Carbonara was average, too much pepper and watery.
Place is very centrally placed and they offer exactly what they say on the tin.We had pasta and actually went for the pot for two deal and we loved it.Very reasonably priced and and quite generous portions. Two can dine for approx £30 if you go for Past and bottled water!Service was really quick and they wear smile on their face.Service charge is included to the bills so you dont have to worry for change etc.Toilets are a bit outdated but clean. No parking available as one would expect. There are tables indoors and outdoors.
Ordered 3 different pasta and one pizza. One of the pasta was good the other one was so so and the third was a joke. Very small portion and uncooked pasta. Yes uncooked not al dente not to mention no sauce at all. So technically that plate was over £15 for few pieces of plain uncooked pasta. The pizza was decent but definitely overpriced. Overall the portion of the meal is small and expensive.
SPAGHETTI HOUSE MORE LIKE MICROWAVE HOUSE!Menu is overpriced for what you get, I ordered a lasagne which you can literally see is microwaved also found a hair lodged in the lasagne. After I asked if the lasagne had been microwaved the waitress assured me that this wasnt the case and infact there isnt a microwave in the restaurant but when going to the toilet both me and my partner saw a microwave sitting on the side in the kitchenAfter I complained I got a replacement which was a pizza. this was one of the greasiest pizzas ever! every slice I picked up a huge amount of grease was left dripping on my plate. Gordon Ramsay Definitely needs to sort this place out as It definitely is a kitchen nightmare.Service was terrible had to wait 20 minutes for our drinks. Also had to ask for the bill three times and again had to wait 30 minutes just to pay. Once the bill come over I had still been charged for this ready meal lasagne. Will never eat here again worst Italian experience of my life
Nice seating, good position close to lots of theatres. Great portion size and tasty. All 3 plates cleaned and 3 full bellys.
Loved it!!We chose the option to get pasta for two people which was a very generous portion and came very quickly. The service was friendly and efficient which was great. Would definitely go back again and would highly recommend!
Service: quite rubbish waited an hour for our food with barely any notice and yet STILL charged a 13.5% service fee that you are forced to pay that they give you no notice for.Staff looked miserable too + didn’t let you see bill before paying.Toilets: Looked dirty and smelt.Drinks were incredibly pricey and the jug the water came in wasnt even cleaned properly and it was tap water and hot.Food was alright nothing bad about it but nothing special, too overpriced go to bella italia across the road 😓👍🏻😅
Food ok, not as good as it used to be. Service pretty poor, staff were inattentive and disinterested. Took an hour between starter & main. Should have asked them to take off the 13.5% service charge they added automatically for a table of 4. Wont hurry to return - shame.
Had an amazing early dinner. Im a bit fuzzy when it comes to Italian food, but man this was good! I was amazed how well it tasted. How you could taste a bit of Italian home cooking. I was happily surprised to say the least! And the staff is amazing as well! Friendly folks! Hard working and smiling... Id be eating here more often if I wassnt a tourist on his way home lol
Absolutely perfect in every way, food was delicious and service by the the Italian lady was a great addition to our meal, highly recommended you wont be disappointed.A big thank you to everyone at spaghetti house.
Extremely poor customer service. We were brought water in a dirty pitcher twice, one of the glasses on our table was dirty. When we raised this issue with our server she told us to order bottled mineral water. A second server had to be consulted just to make clear that it was just a clean pitcher that is being requested. The food itself was just ok, the dough balls with Parmesan were not baked bread but fried crispy pieces of dough. When we received the bill a service charge of £9.11 had been added we asked for this to be removed, however the hostess told us that there was nothing wrong with the service and did not need to listen to us. Furthermore the restaurant manager told us that the hostess has been in her role for three months and is training and that her English wasn’t great, even though her communication was clear and as well as her understanding. Rather than apologising, more baseless excuses were made. I would not recommend this restaurant and would award it no stars if possible. This particular site is opposite Liberty of London.
Had the free flowing prosecco set menu at Cranbourn Street speghetti house. The menu offers a really good choice and the food was absolutely delicious, plus the prosecco was certainly free flowing! All the staff were friendly but we were lucky enough to be looked after by Vlad who was just amazing , a real asset to this restaurant.
Fantastic food, great staff and warm friendly welcome. We turned up on a busy night asking for a table of 6. Not only did they make us feel welcome but went out of their way to fit us in and give us a truly wonderful night. Food was so good and the service matched. Highly recommended.
This was a lovely restaurant staff were first rate and food was excellent.
Lovely pizza and bruschetta can’t fault the place. Not overly busy for Leicester Square. Not too pricey aswell
Great food, service reasonably good but 1 or 2 staff seemed in a bad mood. They added 13.5% service charge automatically to the bill, which is very cheeky. £63 for two people is way too much for lunch. Id only recommend this place if you have deep pockets and dont fancy yet another fast food place.
OMG the Macaroni and Cheese was so good that my husband and granddaughter wanted it again on our second visit. The Caesar salad with chicken as tasty, delightful slices of Parmesan cheese and lightly dressed, as requested. Save room for the desserts, the warm apple tart was amazing! Great service and nice atmosphere. The name suggests something common, but it is not, it is exceptional.
Ordered a pre-cource (garlic breadand a main (Calzone). We waited for the garlic bread for 30 minutes, and received a burned garlic bread. After letting the staff know about the burnt food, we had to wait another 15 minutes to get a new one. After an hour after the order was taken we got our mains. As it can be seen from the picture the Calzone was also burnt, over 2/3 of my pizza was burned and only one of the waiters apologized and seemed genuinely sorry for the food. At the first receipt we were charged for both the burnt garlic bread and the new one we got, but after letting them know they removed one of them and we got some discount for the food (8£). I will never go there again
Travelled from Blackpool, we stayed at a hotel around the corner, we went for a wander and stumbled across this restaurant, Amazing food and drink, and we were looked after by the very friendly staff who came and chatted to us, although very busy as about 30 to 40 business men and women walked in after we had started our meal, we would definitely go back again,
Excellent food and service. The staff are very friendly. I recommend it.
Really busy place , but the service was so quick. Welcomed with a smile and served with tasty food. Some good offers for 2. The Spaghettata carbonara was sooooo good! I will be going back for more.
Spaghetti house is part of a chain of fast food restaurants. We ate here lunch. We were not too impressed by their offerings. The portions are very small and lack anything surprising elements or being tasty.
Fantastic. I didnt catch his name, but there was a lovely waiter tonight (26 Novemberwith dark hair, glasses and two hoop earrings, that helped with our dietary needs, no dairy or gluten. Id recommend this place to everyone with allergies / choices. Fantastic service. Will be going back
The pasta was good but nothing special. I had to use a bit of salt to make it more tasty. The place was nice and waiter were friendly. The price for a dish was way too expensive, approx. 18€ for a very simple pasta with pesto. It is a very good place for solo travelers though. I would recommend it but do not expect too much for what you pay!
Waiting at the entrance the staff would see us there but ignored us to the point where we felt like going somewhere else. As we were thinking of leaving we eventually got told 5 minutes wait. After the 5 minutes we had a table, the drinks we wanted were both out so we had to order something else. As for the food, it was pretty fantastic, the pizza and the lasagna were both delicious, very enjoyable. If the drinks were in stock and better communication from the staff Id have rated 5/5.
No acknowledgement when waiting for a table, left guessing whether we will be seated and how long. Rude waiter, replies constantly in Italian, unless he likes you and wants a chat. Dirty glasses and how someone can pick up and serve a chipped glass with a crack through it is beyond me. However the food was nice and would have got 4 stars, if the staff were friendlier Asked for the service charged to be taken off, but still tricked into pay it, so double check your receipt.
Really lovely food, which is especially rare for a chain restaurant. However I have given 4/5 as the stairs were quite unclean, one of the staff was very hungover during serving, and they refused to provide a small portion of a main pesto pasta meal for my son (which makes me think it’s not freshly made?!), which wasn’t a problem just odd. Recommend the food, and have been here a few times over the year just strange experience today
Excellent Italian restaurant. Food to good, I couldnt actually finish mine! Fantastic service despite how busy the evening was. Highly recommend.
Had been here for lunch with my friend. The food here is good. You get both small and regular option. There are many vegetarian options. The service was quick. Friendly staff. Even in the busy hour you get a table..since there is place downstairs.
Great, authentic, relaxed and welcoming place in the middle of London.Great food, good customer service, nice atmosphere, welcoming staff. If you want real, authentic Italian food, this is highly recommendable. Good price points also.Great for families, couples and groups.
